Ok so i used a dollar store test the other day. And it had a shadow in the window where the positive is supposed to be but when my doctor did the blood test it came back negative. Idk wat to think. I have had 8 children and i know the signs and symptoms of pregnancy and i have quite a few of them. My last period was extremely light and alot shorter than usual. Does anyone have any advice? My Lmp was february 14th and lie i said it was lighter and shorter than normal.
Could it have maybe been an evap line? I'd wait til your period is due and if it's late, test again. Good luck.
My dr. trusts HPTs (won't do blood tests unless you have a history of problems) because the test they do is actually less sensitive than most HPTs. Hang in there and test again if your AF still hasn't showed!
I would definitely test again with another brand to see what happens. I've heard of getting negative results on blood work (depending on which test they do) and positive results on home tests. I also have some seriously negative experiences with the $ store brands. I got 4 false positives on them this year and know two ladies who have gotten false positives with them recently so I quit using them. I've seen plenty that were the real thing though so I would test with another brand. I say you know your body and after 8 kids you probably know more about what's going on than the doctor so test again and hopefully you'll get the result that you're wanting to see. :)
