Down another 1.6 lbs. :) Of course I was hoping for my 2 lbs. (per week goal), but it was close. I feel slightly bloated today, so I'll attribute those extra ounces to that, but to keep it legit...I'll record what it says.
I kind of messed up this morning. I wanted to get a Subway breakfast flatbread. I looked it up online and for a flatbread with eggs whites, cheese, and bacon it was supposed to be 190 calories, with my add-ons, around 260 (not bad for breakfast). Well I made the mistake and didn't say 3" flatbread and he made a 6". Sure, I could have saved the other half, but I didn't realize the error until I was almost done eating it. Now I've wasted 470 of my daily allowed calories on breakfast. Guess I'll just eat cautiously for the rest of the day. It was good though!!! :)
Anyway...finally getting to the gym today, for the first time this week. Going to try Zumba tomorrow! :)
-
Darn on the breakfast blunder but at least you're tracking it and not letting it ruin your whole day!
Good luck with Zumba tomorrow. I want to hear how it goes!
-
Well, no Zumba for me today! I farted around (not literally, lol) last night and this morning and did not get my workout clothes together. I did have a good workout yesterday evening. I rode the bike for two miles and treadmill for one. I am slowly but surely increasing my speed...I was on a 2.0 incline and finished at 3.7 mph.
On another note: I got my little flatbread sandwich again this morning (only the 3" this time)! LOL It was SOOOOOO good! If anyone is interested, it's only $2.43 (tax included) I get the 3" flatbread with egg white, bacon, & shredded colby blend, toasted. I top it with baby spinach, black olives, s&p, and olive oil. It's 235 calories. I am sort of addicted to Subway right now. I know not many people like it, because of the meat and all, but I love it! My lunch sub consists of the same toppings, but I eat a ham/turkey with no cheese on italian bread (310 calories).
-
I love love love Subway. I will either get the egg white sandwich on honey oat (6 inch) for breakfast or a Veggie Delite when I go there and I love them!
-
My husband is a subway addict. I've never had the breakfasts from there but that small flatbread sounds yummy!
Are you going to try to make it to a different Zumba class? I'm really curious how you like it!

Well the ladies at my work do it on Mon, Tues, & Thurs. of every week. I am going to try to go on Tues & Thurs (my non-gym days). I am pleased with the way my weight is coming off, but I know it is time to take it to the next level. That would mean working out 5 days a week, instead of 3. I do not want to hit a lull. I am definitely going to go next Tuesday, no excuses! If I forget my clothes, I will FIND SOME. LOL I think I will like it. I was a dancer from 2-11, until I started cheerleading. I cheered from 8th grade to my senior year. Dancing was one of my favorite parts about cheering, though. Once I get in shape and reach my goal weight, I think I might take some dance lessons. They have a studio around here that has adult women classes. I think it would be a good way to help keep me in shape and it is something I would enjoy doing. That and my daughter and I can have that connection and bonding time. :)

I am going to attempt to post my progress pictures on here...I made one month on Wednesday and would like to keep a monthly progress picture diary. I put it in a word document so they can easily be seen side-by-side.

ETA: I couldn't find the same black cami, but the pants are basically the same. I'm not sure if anyone will be able to tell a difference, but I can. :)
-
Wow, you can definitely see the difference. Keep up the awesome work!
-
I can tell a difference already, even in your face! Way to go!
-
Awesome loss! And you can totally tell in the pics! You are beautiful, mama!
-
You've got some definite waist definition going on now! WTG!
-
Thanks, ladies!!!
-
I can see it big time on your waist and stomach. The side pose shows your stomach has totally gone down. Good job mamma keep at it!!!
-
I agree w/pp's, I can see you're losing in your mid-section. Good job- keep it up!

OK, so I just had a somewhat success-story experience. I went to a clothing store and found some black dress pants that I liked. Of course my current ones are getting a little loose on me and I like being able to show my progress off...in my clothes. Well when I started I was in a 20 (some 22s), depending on the brand. Well I have a pair of Kim Rogers dress pants and they are a 20. I just tried on and was ALMOST successful in zipping a size 16 in the same brand. Just an inch or two more and I'll be there. They didn't have 18s otherwise they definitely would have worked! :)

Overall pretty good weekend! I went over by 472 calories on Saturday. We were out all day, decided to eat dinner out and instead of having a salad I splurged on a flatbread pizza. It was DELISH! It put me over 200-somthing calories, then I decided to have a dirty martini! Oh well. I got right back on yesterday and had 129 remaining calories after my full day. I normally have leftover calories each day so going over didn't really phase me...just knew I needed to get right back on the next day. Looking forward to an energy-packed week. Going to the gym m-w-f and doing Zumba on t-th. Ready to pump it up to the next level and get some more weight off. I would like to be a decent size for the summer. I know it will take me about a year to reach goal, but losing half (or near half) my weight by June-ish...I would be totally happy. Last summer we went on vacation to a water park and beach and I was FAT! I want to be 'decent' and not ashamed to go out in public. The water park we went to had cute little lifeguards and I felt like a whale. NOT THIS SUMMER! Actually, I can't wait to just be under 200 lbs!!! It's be a WHILE!!! We had a biggest loser challenge here a while back...like year and a half, maybe two. I won...I lost like 20-something lbs. in 12 weeks. Which isn't anything now cause I've lost 17.6 in 4 weeks. That time I got down to like 208. I was feeling really good then and quit and gained it all back and then some. I can't even remember the last time I was under 200. :(

Way to get jump right back on after an off-track day!
I'm hoping to get to Zumba with my SIL this evening-if my brother will watch the girls for me-I'll have to let you know how it goes. I asked her to run through the moves with me and she said it's been like 6 months since she went and the instructor is new and probably does things different. I YouTube'd Zumba and....yeah. I so will NOT look as cool as the people on there! Latin dancing is not my forte. But I'll give it a go!
-
Great job on going sizes down..that according to me is the best feeling ever...even better than watching the scale go down!!!
Don't worry about going up on your calories. Intentional or unintentional spike days (google it) are actually good for weight loss as they trick the body and doesn't put it in the starvation mode.
-
Thanks ladies!
I know, Tif, I am going to look so silly...I can see it now.
I had a GREAT 30 minute walk outside on my lunch break. I am not sure of the distance I walked (going to drive it with my van to see). I did seven laps around my HUGE office building and parking lot. I felt/feel great. Gym this evening!!! :)
-
You will be under 200 in no time!
-
Great day yesterday! So glad to have started off the week that way. Did my 30 minute power walk at lunch and then went to the gym after work. Didn't get much in, 4 miles on the bike at 14-16 mph (12 minutes) and did 3 sets of 25 reps on the ab machine. I am sore today, from my abs down. Guess I really worked hard! :) DH's car broke down yesterday, so we now have to carpool for the rest of the week, until we can get something else for him to drive. This means no Zumba AGAIN this week!!! :( He will already have to wait 2 hours after he gets off for me to pick him up when I get off and I still want to do my gym days on wed and fri, so that will be 2.5 hours he'll have to wait. Zumba doesn't start until 4:30 so he'd have to wait too long. Oh well. I am going to continue walking on my lunch break today and Thursday. Wednesday and Friday I am doing observations for my teaching degree, so no lunch walk on those days...just gym.
Sorry, I'm rambling...just typing my thoughts out! :) Did really well, diet wise yesterday. I had 550 calories remaining. 403 of those were from calorie burn credit. Excited for a good weigh-in tomorrow! :)
-
No loss for me this week. Not letting it get me down. I still feel great and know I am doing well. I think 17.6 lbs in 5 weeks is well within range.
I think my non-loss might be attirbuted to my lack of calorie intake. Even thought I had a cheat day (meal) during that week, I had 845 un-eaten allowed calories remaining (last wed-yesteray). I am going to try harder and be sure to eat all of my calories and see if that helps. I have been doing really well, exercise-wise so that can be the only explanation I can think of.
Oh well, today starts a new week...here's to a nice loss! :)
-
Great job momma! Yes please do eat your exercise calories. I am a total believer in eating your exercise calories. Not only do you not loose weight, you feel tired all day long!
Good luck
-
Your overall loss is still fantastic. Hopefully working on those calories will help!

HEY EVERYONE!
Had a "decent" weekend. Spent the entire weekend away from home and didn't do my best, but didn't do too bad. I was doing well until Saturday night decided to have a daquiri at a Mardi Gras Parade. My mom and I wanted one, asked my brother to pick us up a 20 oz. one, well he came with 32 oz. ones!!! I didn't think anything of it until I got home and went to add it to MFP. Over 1400 calories for the full 32 oz!!!!! OMG...I was FREAKING OUT!!! I had about a fourth left and said FORGET THAT and threw it away. I counted 1000 calories for it. DA**, I'm only allowed 1260 in A DAY!!! Oh well...live and learn! Yesterday I was under calorie count, by a little. I weighed myself right after I discovered this (like I would see a difference immediately, dumb, I know!) I also weighed myself yesterday (still the same from Wednesday's weigh-in) I got on the scale this morning (although it is not a weigh day), just to see if I REALLY messed up. I was delighted to see I was at 226 even (228.4 at last weigh-in). Don't know if it will stick! I plan on working my butt off in the gym this evening and walking tomorrow before Wednesday's weigh-in. We shall see!!!
-
Weigh-in tomorrow...excited!!! I can totally tell in my clothes. I have a pair of pants that (when I wasn't dieting yet) were getting almost to the point that I could not button them. They would give me a c-toe if I didn't constantly pull them down. I am wearing them today and they buttoned with ease and I can put my hand in and pull them away from by body like 1.5-2 inches. :) :) :)

Weigh-in SUCCESS!!! Down 3 lbs! :) YAY!!! I'm stoked. Took pics this morning cause I like the way my body looks in this dress I wore to work today. I am seeing some great results so far. I originally planned to only do progress pics every month, but I am doing an 'in-betweenish' this month. :)

You are looking great! You can really see the change in you abdomen/midsection! And 3 pounds is a great loss for the week!
Have you made it to Zumba yet?
-
THANKS!
I have not. Still waiting for my dh and fil to be off at the same time to fix his car. We are still carpooling, so no Zumba until then. :(
Right now I'm still just doing gym m-w-f and walking at lunch t-th. Did you ever go back?
