stressed and concerned
Hello Everyone,
I am new to the site and had a question that I needed answered...I have 2 children 9 and 4, I had a tubal with my last child. I was always told that it was nearly impossible to get pregnant after being tied and burned, but im not sure! My last period was in September around the second week. My cycle is pretty regular always around the first of the month...well, it is now October and still no friend, at frist I thought, stress, anxiety, all the normal things. Then about a week ago, the frequent urination began, no other symptoms besides sleepiness. some hot flashes, and a strange appetite or lack there of. I hate hpt's since they always seem to turn out negative, I actually would love to have another baby, hopefully a boy, but i just wanna make sure im not crazy! Any Suggestions???

I had my tubes tied in August. In discussion beforehand with my doctor he said that tying and burning actually results in the HIGHEST failure rate between the 3 most common procedures-metal clamps, tying and burning, and actually cutting out a portion of the tube which is usually done during a c-section. I ended up having that third option done since it's the most effective form of tubal and I have medical reason for not wanting an accidental pregnancy.
I would go ahead and take a test. Seems like you should be able to get a positive and if not, wait a week and take another one. Make sure you get an Answer or Equate or some other red/pink test and not a blue one. the blue ones are a bit harder to read an accurate result if it's faint.

thanks for the advice, I will try that I believe that when I had my c-section I believe my tube were clipped and burned on both ends but I dont remember any portion of my tubes being taken out...:eyebrow: but I will consult with my doctor just to be sure and take the needed steps from then on. Thanks again, at least I know its still possible to conceive!

It can be hormones, age, etc. that can cause those things. I'm close to 30 and already get hot flashes, more urination, etc.
