ETA: This all happened (the story, that is) from the beginning to the end of when I sat down to write this post. It is great that I can give them ideas to run with, and they can go and do something on their own and present me with something cool at the end of it. A lot of times they can come up with better ideas on their own. And sometimes, of course, it's never-ending screaming at me or at each other from dawn til dusk. But I love this, and I honestly thought the day would never come. Having 3 kids makes it so I still rarely get a moment to breathe because if one person is content someone else is bored or needs something, but there are moments here and there when I can give them a suggestion of something to do and they will be off and running with it. When they were little, and clawing at me to return whenever I stepped more than a foot away, it never seemed possible.
