I would bet some of the older video games (which would be what today's surgeon would have been playing) would stimulate that part of the brain in less of a bombarding way as I like to describe today's video games. They bombard you with sound, emotion, graphics...and so realistic. Some say it contributes to adhd....it's a far cry from the "pong" I used to play. The white rectangle that moved side to deflect the bouncing white dot.
But what do I know really. I haven't done much research on it. It just feels right to me to keep the kids away from those high tech games for now.
