That's kind of a false equivalence, though. What if your options are being a secretary making 40K a year and being a physician making 140K? What if you loved being a secretary but did not like being a physician, but it did buy you the vacations you love, and allowed you to move to a better school district, or put your kids in a stellar private school or gave you the wiggle room to give them voice lessons because they've shown aptitude for it? I mean, the vast majority of the jobs out there, you don't get breaks that will allow you to spend holidays/vacations to spend with your family.
