Technically we are suppose to get the boys every Monday after school until 8 am Tuesday and every other weekend from Friday at 6 pm until Tuesday at 8 am. We usually don't force them to stay, but it has gotten to the point that we make plans for them to stay then they don't then if we don't make plans for them they want to stay. So we decided we were going to make them stay. BM is appalled at this idea, but whatever not her choice.

This weekend they stayed. She has the 3 year old in a daycare but we don't take him when they are with us because she has to call and "approve" for DF to get him and won't "approve" me and rather than dealing with it we just don't take him which irks her because she still has to pay, but oh well. We took him on Tuesday and dropped him off there since his mom was already gone to work by the time we were to drop off. I took him into the center and he walked me around and showed me his cubby and the tables, all while holding my hand.

DF was like when I drop him of he drops my hand at the door and tells me bye....lol. DF says he loves me- I know he does, but it's nice when others who know his mom sees it too like at daycare....

I don't blame you a bit for making the kids stay. They need that time with their dad, and I'd being willing to bet that the thought of leaving early doesn't even cross their minds soon.

It's so sweet that your DSS wanted to show you his daycare. He clearly loves you. Bonus that stuff like that is going to annoy the heck outta his mother.

They only ask to go home early if they talk to their mom. Nothing is ever said about it any other time unless they are in trouble which they know that won't work.

If she's anything like Evil One she probably goes on and on about how much she misses them to make them feel guilty for spending time with their Dad. Pretty low, IMO.

Oh yeah or tells them what fun thing she has planned. It is bad. Or that she saw so and so outside playing. She also always miraculously forgets who has them on our weekends and makes plans for out of town family to come to town when its our weekend.....uggggh

Yep, sounds very, very familiar. It's always "well, such and such is having a birthday party...". If she had the kids for every freaking birthday party in her family we'd never see them!
