06-15-2006, 02:22 PM
Ok you asked for it...

The D&K is a run down gas station and Lisa is my sister Grant is my husband now that you have that information here is my dream

OK I am at the D&K and I am not to sure what I am doing there but thats where I am and using the pay phone is Chris from American Idol. Any way we start talking and he asks me if I want to go to a party with him so I crawl in the back of this big yellow hoopty and go to a party (in the back of my mind I am thinking oh, well Grants at work). So we go to this party and Chris gets drunk and starts hitting on me. I have not been drinking and I say some thing to him about arent you married but am thinking in the back of my mind THIS is Chris who cares if he is married (funny how in your dreams your morals go right out the window). So any way he is kissing on me and has his hands all over me (and I am quite enjoying myself) when who shows up at the party but Lisa! She tells me all about how what I am doing is a sin and I need to think about his wife and yada yada ya and she suck-seeds in making me feel bad and Chris and I go into a bed room and fool around but I cant go all the way because Lisas voice is stuck in my head. So Chris falls asleep (or pass out?) in the bed and I sit up beside the bed all night just looking at him and holding his hand. Any way as the sun starts to come up the phone rings and its for me its Grants cousin and she says hay you need to start giving Grant the number to where you will be! We have been trying to get a hold of you all night. I inform her that I had given Grant my number and he must have lost it. I asked her if there was some thing wrong and she told me Grant was in jail. After he got off work he went out and got drunk and did drugs and stole a bunch of stuff from some stores and they had him in a jail somewhere. Then I got off the phone and Chris was waking up. He put his clothes on and held me for a while and we kissed some more. Then his wife pulls up in that yellow hoopty and honks her horn and Chris tells me he has to go. He goes out to the car and gets in and they drive away. I get myself together and then bam I am home (dont know how I got there?). So now I am mad at Grant for being in jail and start to feel so sorry for Morgan having a daddy who is going to be in jail but I know the best thing for her is for me to kick Grant out. Any way I spend the rest of my dream packing Grants stuff up and worrying that I wont be getting Grants next check that will have a bunch of over time on it. Then my alarm went off. I am still mad that Lisa wouldnt let me have sex with Chris. My one chance and she ruined it!

Jai

Woah~!! Crazy dream~! :D:D And I know what you mean about morals going out the window in dreams. I had a dream I fooled around w DHs cousin and the whole time I was thinking, "Im married, so I have to hide this" Very Strange!! :D:D

We are going to my mom and dads on Sat to celebrate fathers day. Its supposed to be really nice/hot out. So we're BBQ'ing and swimming, and stuff like that.

Sunday we are going to spend the day at home w DH. Marissa and I went to the store and got eggs, bacon, and biscuits to make him brekfast in bed. Shes sooo excited. Now we just have to cross our fingers that he doesnt have to work Sunday morning. We'll find out when he gets home in a few.

It is so bad that Hubby and I have a pact that she is not to be left alone in the same room with Stella. Ever.

I can only imagine my poor little girl coming to me saying "Mama, I feel so sad. Grandma said if I don't love her enough she'll commit suicide. What's suicide?"

We were all planning a Spa Day. MIL and her sisters and mother and DHs cousin (who is also my BF) well I decided I wasnt going to go because of all the obligations we have this summer. Grad parties, canoeing, Marissas 5th B-day (which of course has to be a good party) and so on. Well MIL wanted me to go so badly she purchased my package for my b-day gift (which is tomm BTW) so that way Ill go. Soooo, Im gettin a facial, mani and pedi from her. AWESOME!!

I feel the same way about killing topics. LOL I love that this thread is 7 pages long.

I don't have an evil MIL, but my own mother gets close to that description. She refuses to take responsibility for ANYTHING (since my dad died almost 7 freakin' years ago) so it's constantly "do this for me, do that for me" and no please or thank you. She likes to start fights and say mean things too. Like my personal favorite "you have fat thighs" um, ok I was a size 4 when she said that. So mean! I don't let her get to me though because I know she's just trying to start a fight. She loves controversy.

Happy birthday Jai and Debbie!

did any one see that bright pink fly buzzing around that dead orange poodle this morning on the way to work. There was also a frog playing the trumpet beside the poodle. They must have been close friends.

When my MIL is dead a tear will not pass my eye lids for her but I may cry for DH and the loss of never knowing what its like to have a loving caring mother who puts her children 1st.

Speaking of in-laws, I have to spend the whole weekend with them to celebrate DH's grandpa's 80-somethin' birthday. So we get to drive to the BIG city of Sioux City South Dakota. Wooohooo. And as an added bonus I have to deal with Dh's 5 siblings, their families or significant others, his aunts their families and FIL, who has the biggest chip on his shoulder. The man is a freak of nature. He is so mean to DD sometimes. Sorry, didn't mean to complain. lol

Oh, I am so sorry I know how mad that makes me. DH leaves pens in his pockets from work. I have learned to always check but some times those things must hide because they end up in the laundry any way. We pay 4 $'s a week to have DH's uniforms laundryed though his work (they make you pay it) and he won't let any one wash his uniforms but me he says they come back to stiff if he sends them off! All I can thank of is the time I would save not having to wash his clothes and WE ARE PAYING FOR IT AND NOT USING IT!

I remember when I was 16 my parents started letting me wear make up and I left some bright red lip stick in my pocket of some white jeans. Mom didn't check and we had lip stick stains on all our white clothes. Mom made me use my paycheck (from Burgerland LOL) to buy new white clothes for every one. I learned the hard way to take the crap out of my pockets b/4 putting them in the dirty clothes.

If we left money in our pockets my mom would keep it and told us she figured we left it in our pockets as a tip for her becasue she washed our clothes for us.

Caiden did good w/ his sleep, but boy was I worried!! He did great going to sleep and I cranked up his white noise to drown out the environmental sounds. He did wake up in the middle of the night though each night again. BUT, I think that's b/c he was sleeping in the same room as us. I would hear him start thumping away by kicking his feet on that hard pack n' play mattress so I'd just get him up and nurse him back to sleep so that I could go back to sleep too.

I think he was happy to be back in his own bed. He went back to sleeping 9 hours straight again!

I never know whether to jump or not when ds makes noise at night. i would sometimes wait and see if he would fall back to sleep for a few minutes. now, he babbles to himself and I don't know whether I should get up and nurse him or wait until he cries. I am afraid, if I wait to long he will really be awake and I won't be able to get him to go back to sleep.

That's funny Jennifer... I used to do the same thing when Caiden & I were cosleeping. I would close my eyes and pretend to sleep... but really I was peeking juuuuuuust barely under my eyelids at him. Worked like a charm most of the time!

That trick wouldn't work last week though b/c he was at the bottom of the pack n' play and not within eyeshot. He couldn't use the bassinet part anymore because we'd older than 4 months and weighs more than 15 pounds.

It's cute how these babies love to kick. Caiden kicks his mattress too... as well as the bathtub, playmat, bouncy seat, floor, bed, and on and on...

DIVADLX

Rolo... i wait until the first wimper... the I "hit Stella's snooze button" which is, I rub her belly. If she doesn't fall back asleep after 5-10 minutes of that then I know she's not going back down...

Hollyjo - I love it! She brings both feet up high in the air and slams them down... we hear it in the monitor all the time!

We are moving too and hope to buy our first home. I am excited and scared. I am also feeling bad because I wonder how weirded out it will make Stella... I mean this is the only home she will have known for her whole life.

How exciting to be getting your first home. Where are you guys moving to? Are you moving because of work or have you guys had enough of Hawaii?

I was going to ask too... isn't Stella almost 6 months now? I remember you saying that you and your husband agree to to move her out of the cosleeper at 6 months, but that you really didn't want to. Do you get to keep her for a bit longer? :)

Caiden was 4 months. We started with bedtimes and then eased in the naptimes too.

YellowRose
06-26-2006, 04:47 PM
Caleb was 2 months old when he started sleeping in his crib and it was because HE was ready. I had started putting him in his crib for naps and I'd let him play in there while he was awake (he loves all the Pooh's) and after that he REFUSED to sleep in his pack n play. As soon as we laid him down in it, he'd immediately wake up. We tried putting him in his crib and he slept "like a baby". Good luck with the transition, Christi!

Jai

Peyton was between 2 and 3 weeks. She did not sleep good in her bassinet at all and she was even fidgety with me so I tried her in her crib for a nap, and she went right to sleep. Then I started her in there at bedtime and she slept a whole lot better than she ever did. :D:D

Good Luck!!

We're moving because it is so expensive to live here... the cost of living is so high, yet salaries are much lower than anywhere else. We cannot stay here and me be able to stay at home with Stella, and it is much more important that I be home with her than we live here. Plus, I hate 365 days of 80-90 degree weather... it gets old. I want to wear a sweater at least once a year, people! :)

PLus all my family is there. Oh where? Seattle. I was born and raised near there.

As far as the 6 month-aversary... yeah! Can you believe it! This Saturday she'll be 6 months old. As far as her moving out of the co-sleeper... I'm not ready and she's perfectly content in it. Plus with the move, I think we'll keep her in it a little while longer so that we don't associate move with new bed.

Truth be told, I will have a really hard time putting her in the crib. It will mean she's so grown up. And I also can't stand the idea of her being so far away from me. Its like she's my lovey.

HollyJo
06-26-2006, 10:27 PM
I hear ya on the wanting to wear a sweater once in a while. I love visiting Hawaii, but it is so nice to have seasons! That's neat that you're from Seattle. We just moved up here last year (well, my husband is from the area), but I'm totally loving the Pacific Northwest so far! It is 91 degress outside right now though. What do you do to help Stella cope with the heat? We don't have A/C and I worry about my CaideeBug getting too hot. Right now he's in a thin onesie and there's a fan pointing into his crib. He's all sprawled out and I hope he's keeping a little cool.

Caiden and Stella are exactly one month and one day apart! I'm happy you get to keep Stella nearby for a while longer. :) It's both difficult and exciting to let them grow up. I love that Stella is your lovey. Awe... Stella has such a great mommy!

DIVADLX

I heard about the heat wave! Hopefully it will be gone by the time we get there. I am so excited - I love the outdoors up there, camping, etc. I am getting very excited for seasons again! I love September so much, but honestly, not here in Hawaii... since it all feels like july!

Well, the heat... she lives in onesies... the girl has so many cute clothes and all she wears are onesies and sometimes shorts.

We have several fans (no a/c) and whenever we get overheated, we jump in the shower together. I wanted to spend more time at the beach this summer, but honestly it can be so much more work than it is worth! Plus the UV has been really high lately and I don't want her little skin to get damaged.

Thats why I am torn on what to buy Morgan! I mean I would love to get her a Jumparoo but I don't want to pay 75 dollars for some thing she is only going to use for a month. I would love to find a good used one at a yard sale.

Claudia - your rock wall story reminded me of those poor little babies who's hands are covered... she never would have discovered that if she her little hands were stuffed in mittens!

Not meant to annoy anyone... so please don't take it that way!

Baby hickeys? That's too funny. I have a friend who's kitten used to do that.

Dumb question.... but... what is "hump day"??? I don't think I've ever heard of that.

Hump day is the middle of the week -- Wednesday. Think of a hill... Wednesday would be at the top of that hill... thus you're coming over the hump and on the downward side. :)

Oh my goodness!!! So cute! When we took Stella swimming for the first time, since it was the ocean we were uncomfortable going in chest height so we took her in her little floaty thing and she was doing that same thing! Splashing with her arms and kicking with her legs!

Oh he's so cute! But see I knew that since he is Stella's long lost twin brother. :D

Preah, you're right, C is a pleasant little guy. But don't be fooled, he does have his moments. Mostly before naptime.

Jennifer, isn't that little splash just the cutest thing?! The ocean sounds so fun, but you know how cold the ocean water is here! Brrrr!! I think my little family needs a trip to Hawaii so we can test out the waters there.

Jai, are those bathrooms done yet? ;)

Pam, I couldn't find disposable swim diapers small enough for a long time, but you can order the non-disposable kind online in all sizes.

I love chunky babies too! But I'm biased of course because Caiden is all rolls. :P

Without - you might want to just try a size small... technically Stella shouldn't fit in them, but she does!

Stella seems chubby to me, but at 90th percentile height, 50th weight, seems like she could be chunkier! Her little cheeks are these little round orbs of cuteness!

The water is so warm here - but you're right Hollyjo - I can imagine putting her in at oean shores.... brrrrr...

I am looking forward to our next swim!

Aly,

Yes Morgan is still in size 1's! I tried to put her in a dress that was a size 3-6 months yesterday and it fell off her! She has so many cut clothes that are size 3-6 but can't ware them! She will be 6 months in 15 days and she still wears 0-3 month clothes. She is so small! She hit 13 lbs last week! Wahooo!

HollyJo
07-03-2006, 10:06 AM
Size 1's!!! Holy crap!

I've been contemplating bumping Caiden up to size 4's after this case is finished.

Oh to have a little baby and have clothes last longer than 2 months. I refuse to buy anything less than 12 months anymore because he's outgrowing clothes so fast.

Anybody doing anything exciting for baby's first 4th of July???

I don't think we have anything planned as of yet...

We MIGHT go downtown to the fireworks show. But it doesn't start til 9:15 pm! Sheesh. It'll be rough. But we really think Lucy will enjoy it. Truman will probably be ambivalent and find his own toes far more interesting. :)

Holly is it hot/humid there? Too bad the water's so frigid. :(

DIVADLX
07-03-2006, 03:06 PM
Lumo it gets hot and humid, but not at the ocean in WA. The water is also really cold because it comes from the Alaskan currents. Lakes and rivers are fun in WA though!

I am so confused about sizes! Stella is a big tall baby, yet she still fits into her 0-3 onesies, but is in her 6-9 month shorts and some outfits. I guess its all about her long Norwegian legs!

She is in size 2 diapers, but when we run out of the dispasables (we alternate with cloth) we'll move up to three!

I have to work on the 4th of july... BUT i'll get off at 5:30 and can spend the rest of the day with my family... and one of my favorite things in the world! FIREWORKS! Work should be fun too - There'll probably be a tailgate or something during the break. The rehearsal hall gets SO hot though!

Oh to have a little baby and have clothes last longer than 2 months. I refuse to buy anything less than 12 months anymore because he's outgrowing clothes so fast.

Caleb's the same way! We're going to have to take back a case of size 3's and exchange them for size 4's.... and it seems like we JUST switched to size 3's! This boy is growing WAY too fast! He's in 6-9 month clothes now, well.. except in pants, he's still in 3-6. He's got a looong body with short little legs!!! At least we don't have to buy pants as often as shirts and one piece outfits!!! lol

We have no plans for the 4th. Dh works from 12-8pm so no afternoon BBQ and by the time they shot off fireworks, Caleb will be in bed.. not to mention the boom would probably scare him. I didn't even think of getting a babysitter so Dh & I could watch them, but oh well! Too late now!

Geez Caleb... SLOW DOWN!!!

Christi... mastitis again? NO!!! Did you ever end up taking a probiotic? And, just curious, were you given antibiotics during labor for GBS? I hope it clears up soon. Take care dear!

Are people in your neighborhoods going crazy setting off fireworks? They are here! Poor Caiden woke up crying when a loud one scared the bejeezus out of him. I can't wait 'til the 4th is over.

MarchMommy
07-04-2006, 07:48 AM
yes hollyjo i take a probiotic.....

its like this one hit me REALLY fast. sunday i was watching movies with my girlfriend and watching madison while DH played golf and i suddenly felt very odd. within hours my breast started throbbing and i felt very sick. so yeseterday i called my LC and my OB and they got me on a antibiotic....two kinds actually. one for the mastitis and one to curb yeast since ive had so many yeast issues. ive had a fever the highest being 101.5 yesterday....i still feel weird, and im super nauseous. plus i have a horrible rash on my left breast ..i guess thats the infection.

yes i HATE HATE HATE the 4th. my neighbors came sunday night telling us that they were going to be setting off fireworks for the kids on our street. my DH told them that we had a newborn sleeping, and they used OUR front yard to set them off in. i was so mad i could hardly speak.,....i wanted to go out there and tell them to stop but DH wouldnt let me because we are the "new kids on the block" and he wants them to like us, so being the nice guy that he is, he went out there and HELPED them clean up our yard  i was so mad.......

yea and the thing is that they ALL knew that we have a newborn, and also our neighbors to our right also have a daughter two weeks older than Madi....

i mean they were RIGHT in our front yard. i could have spit nails. and we have a pool/clubhouse right behind our street....WHY couldnt they go there and set them off?????

what really made me mad was that DH defended them....

Jennifer, it was a rash from switching detergents. :( I had ran out of Free & Clear so I used our own normal detergent.
