I am so sleepy, Chris woke up crying because he was so stuffed he couldn't breath, then Dani woke up.... at some point both of them were in our bed trying to fall asleep, Chris did (in my arms :wub: like he did when he was a newborn) so I put him in his bed, Dani took a while... we ended up awake from like 12 to 2 am, so I am beat!!

I'm back!!
It took 30 minutes, talking about my faith background, and everything I'd be doing, but I’m done. They were so homey and inviting. They said they would speak to the committee of elders and then get back to me as soon as they could. Newsletters and bulletins are in Word!!! Sweet! Morning hours would be set in stone, but afternoon hours are more flexible. Their biggest concern was how personable I was, if I’d be in N for long, if we could pay for daycare on that salary, and if I could do accounting. Yeppers to all of the above. I was also told that it was good that I was in a mainstream religion, rather than a fundamentalist group because I would understand a little better the day to day stuff. The preacher made mention of needing to at least learn a little about the faith so I’d know vocabulary and things. I understand. Lol.

Anyhoo, I am now in jeans and my SFA shirt, and am going to work a few minutes before grabbing lunch and coming back to my office. I don’t know if I’m going to take my lunch break or not. I need to get things done at church and for Junior Forum, but I need to work and get the phone calls done, so I can leave early. Dang.

A little background on Katelyn: every time she sees a skeleton she calls it a pirate. She relates the skull and cross bones to pirates...understandble for a 2 year old, no? So we get the flyer in the mail for Party City and we are looking at all the Toddler costumes and she flips the page and sees a "skeleton" type costume but really scary and she says that is what she wants to be. So I flip the page over and say "aww look at all these cute things, there's Dora and Abby Caddaby and a lady bug." She grabs the flyer, flips it over and says "No! A pirate!!!"

I took lots of pictures and the computer crashed while getting them in the internet... sucks!! but I changed my profile pic on FB.... it is me and the kids riding the bus in Disney.

I am looking forwards to Columbus day, I should plan something fun to do with the kids (DH would be working... yeah!!)

I think so. It's the secretary for the local presbyterian church. It's 30 hours a week, $10 per hour, 1 week paid vacation. I think it'll do me some good. Plus it pays $4000 more than what I'm making here part time, and we'll need it if we get the offer on this house.

Aww thanks guys. Things are better...for now. Shelly and I were supposed to spend some time together on Sunday and bake a cake together but she brought a friend over to spend the night and then when they went to pick Tyler up from his Dad's house she got a flat tire and we had to go change that and follow her to Sears to get two new tires and two hours later and $195 there was no time to make a cake. I made it myself though.

We go on vacation in 2.5 weeks and I can't wait!

Hey everyone! How's everything going? I've got a little sick boy at home myself. Chris has been running fever all weekend. :( I know it's his ears, so I've been giving him an antibiotic that we had a refill on and Motrin for the fever. If this darn fever doesn't let up though, I may have to take him in. I really need to get him in for that tube surgery. He's with my sister today because I really can't miss work right now after being off for nearly a week not too long ago. I hate ear infections!!

Its Saturday and i am sure I will have tons of pictures on Monday. LOL

My sister and I couldn't be more different! Caleb (the groom) went with her to all the fittings so he has not only seen the dress but her in it. Then Lisa (my sister) is insisting that ALL the pictures be done before the wedding meaning... Before she walks down the asile he will have already seen her with her hair done and make up on and in the dress! That just takes the shock value and the aww.. out of the whole thing! Wedding starts at 4 and I have to be there no later than 10 she says to help her start to get ready. Friday I have to take off work to set up the church and start cooking the food for the rehersal dinner. Her in-laws to be ditched her on it so my mom and I are hosting a dinner for every one. Like we didn't have enough to do. Then before we can even go home to try to get a little sleep before having to be right back in the morning we'll have to clean every thing up because where the rehersal dinner is, is also where the after wedding food will be! Ahhh!!! Wish you girls were here to help.

We did the pictures before the ceremony... it worked out ok, because your make up and hair are fresh, no crying yet. What we did is they took DH first and took some pictures of him, then from me while he was hidding. They left me there after my session with my eyes closed and brought DH, once we were together we opened our eyes and they took pictures of the reactions... we both cried, it was awesome!! then we had the family pictures. Once everything was done, we had the ceremony, and I still cried when I was walking the aisle.

Oh, I didn't realize it was this weekend! You have a lot on your plate, sounds exhausting. The good thing about taking pictures before the ceremony is that you can go right from the ceremony to the reception and not keep everyone waiting. Plus, the whole fresh make up /hair thing. I did some pictures before, but only the ones of just me. I didn't see Chris until I was walking down the aisle.

Talked to my sister again. Sounds like Chris was doing a little better. DH went on checked on him on his lunch break and got him to eat a little. My dad just got there too, so my sis was going to hand Chris off for a little while to get a break. I still want to go home though...

Hey everyone! I had to stay home with Chris yesterday, he woke up with 2 sores on the tip of his tongue. Took him to the Dr to make sure he wasn't getting hand, foot, & mouth. :ohno: Poor thing can hardly eat anything. I felt so helpless yesterday because he was hungry but everything hurt his tongue. DH was off today so he was able to stay home again today. He hasn't been to daycare all week! Hope he doesn't throw a fit when I take him back tomorrow.

I think DD is starting to display lots of fear. My mom bought her a singing/animatronic tree that has owls on the top and a jackolantern and she freaked out a little when the tree started to sing. And when we were at TRU last weekend they had a life size dinosaur that munches leaves/growls/eyelids bink/moves his head and tail and she didn't want anything to do with it - she started going "Up Up Up" and "All Done", she even did it with the animatronic Elmo dolls - and she loves Elmo!
Any suggestions as to how to help her get over her fears? We have held her and touched these things to show her that they don't mean any harm but she definitly doesn't care for them at all. If we ever take her to Disneyland she will probably hate it! (She also doesn't like Santa but was fine with the Easterbunny this year)

I agree with Lynn, just keep doing what you are, so you can always leave that door open (IMO it is best to leave a job as nicely as possible, you never know who may interview you 5 years from today!!)

So last Thursday was our Anniversary and since DH was in Orlando, we decided to go out to dinner Saturday night. Shelly and Tyler both watched the baby for us so that was good. WE went to Maggiano's. Food was delicious! Yummmmmm. We each had a drink (compliments of the restaurant since they screwed up our reservation, but that is a whole nother story). We go home, put the baby to bed, DTD and then we hare laying there cuddling and DH goes...

Oh man ladies i was sittin here with the kids and i hear a knock at the door and a friend of the neighbors backed into my car..he did a pretty good dent in the front..funny thing was he had been drinking and sooooo worried i would call the police he said he had never been in an accidnt adn was so worried..i was like man calm down its a car not a big deal it happens, so i just took all his insurance info and he took mine and i told him to get out of here and head to his friends birthday..poor guy sat in his car for 30 minutes all worried and not wanting to tell me what happened..im like honestly buddy its a car not a big deal relax..i actually felt really bad for him and how bad he felt..im just not a person who gets angry at things like that i mean it happens and its just a car..

Hi girls! I am back the wedding was so pretty My mom worked her butt off and Idid my best to help where I could. Morgan was so tired by the time the wedding started (wedding started at 4 but we had to be at the church at 9 and she hadn't had any breakfast or lunch) she walked (or ran) down the asile and then layed down on the spot where she was supposed to stand. Then.... She cried becasue she was so sleepy. Poor baby No more weddings for us for a LONG time!
