ok , i LOVE shopping on the day after thanksgiving. ive only missed one year (two years ago) and thats because i was getting married the next day.
we map out a route and make a time line. you see grown men jumping over shopping carts to get a deal. its quite the sight....

Sarah, I would be upset with DH too... no one bad mouths my mom!!!

So how was trick or treating?? we took Dani to a park that had booths from local businesses, and they were passing candy... very family oriented, very nice. Dani did ok and I have couple good pictures of her lurking for candy!!

meh it was ok...kids are just so danged ungrateful these days. about 40% never THANKED me and i found myself holloring "yourwelcome" when they got their candy.....

but we didnt get nearly as many as last year, so i have buttloads of candy left over....

I'm so disappointed! We had NO trick or treaters last night!!! I had my Halloween cat bowl all filled with candy - sitting by the door, ready to go - and NO KIDS! I couldn't believe it! :x They came last year... so now what am I gonna do with all this candy? It doesn't go with my "lose the baby flab" diet!!

Jai

We got to my moms every year. My neighborhood is dead on Halloween. There arent very many kids so people dont turn on their lights. We went one time in this neighorhood and we had to walk like 4 blocks over to get a coulple houses.

We did about 3 streets at my moms and Marissa made out!! Pey went with us for one. Then Marissa wanted to get back to pass out candy. I think she had more fun doing that than actually trick or treating.

newmami
11-01-2006, 08:53 AM
We only had one kid knocking at our door!!! our neighborhood is kinda yuppie, so not that many kids!

I was wondering what to do with the leftover candy as well... I will bring it to work and watch it disappear in 1 day!!!

DH was disappointed as well, he was saying what happened to Trick or treating?????? maybe kids are too lazy to drop the xbox and go out for a walk!!!

Jai
11-01-2006, 09:06 AM
DH and I were saying the same thing. He said "Is it me, or has Halloween gotten lame?" I told him it was just because he wasnt the one out running around getting the candy now.

My mom had 56 kids last night. She makes bag and counts after its all over. Her neighborhood has an alarm that rings at 6 to start it off and another one at 8 the ends it so kids arent out til all hours.

This is the FIRST year in all of Marissas 5 years that DH has been able to go trick or treating with us. Since he works nights hes never able to go. Well he had to be in at 8 last night and told his boss hed be there as soon as he could but he was takin his daughter T or Ting. I was so happy. He ended up getting there at 830. :D:D Usually its just me and Marissa or us and my brother. But DH got to walk w us, and carry Missa when she got tired. :D:D:D:D

OH!! And a little rant about halloween.

Im ALL for the spookiness of halloween. But what I dont get is how some people can be scary towards kids. ..... I seen a guy sitting in a lawn chair w a mask on so I walked up to the house w Marissa (we were standing at the driveway). It freaked Marissa out but she was ok. She says "Trick or Treat" and this guy hands her the candy real slow just makin noise under the mask. Then she says "Thank You" and he contiues with the breathing. Like a spooky breathing. No words. I mean, when you see its a young kid and theyre freaked a little you could do something to not scare them right? I was kinda freaked! I dont know, maybe Im too sensitive cuz I get scared easily but I think when youre dealing with little ones you could be a littles less scary for them.

Jai, how cute about the time at your mom's neighborhood!! I swear I would move to MI (if it wasn't for the cold), it sound so much fun!!!

Agree with you, adults should be careful when kids are around... don't want to be too spooky, that is just plain mean!!

haydensmom
11-01-2006, 09:58 AM
I totally agree about the creepiness!! I was in TRU yesterday and this guy walked in with a totally scary mask on with blood on it, etc... I was creeped... and he's walking into a store with all kinds of little kids. I'm all for dressing up, but that could give someone nightmares!!! :|

We NEVER have trick or treaters...and there are a bunch of kids in this neighborhood. I think they go elsewhere, our streets are not very well lit, so I think we will be going elsewhere too (once Amanda is old enough!).

I have lived on my own for 10 years and never have I lived anywhere where trick or treaters come. It makes me so sad! Even here - we bought a Costco sized bag of candy because our apartment complex has a lot of kids, and there are several other apartment complexes that ajoin ours, and yet we had 8 trick or treaters.

and 148 pieces of candy left to go...

Christi - we organize our post-Thanksgiving shopping too. We take the ads the night before and we paste the header on a page in a notebook, then cut out and paste all the things we want from that place. And do it again for each store. Then we decide which items we want the most, and those are the first two stores we hit (we split up.)

This year my sister and her kids will be here so the kids will stay home and sleep and I'll have a shopping buddy! That is if I am not working... I don't know if BRU is open that early!

My DH does the same thing with the Thanksgiving shopping!! he is so neurotic about it, so much fun!!! I went once to buy a laptop for my dad, and found it in the same store, 2 weeks later cheaper!!! so I decided it is not worth going to those sales, and deal with people desperate to buy crap because it is cheaper!!

Besides, DH will be working, and I would not dare going by myself.... if I was interested in an electronic, or toys, I might consider it... but I don't think maternity clothes would be on sale that day....

God bless you!! We do the same thing! After TG dinner we sit down make out our list with cut outs of the adds and get ready to hit the stores! So happy to see I am not the only nut on the board! Ya know even if I were not going to buy any thing I think I would still go just to people watch! Yeah - too many ads to sift through, we used to lose the items we really wanted or not remember which store had it for which price... but we only go if there is something reeeally good - like DVDs for $2.99 or whatnot. I almost always get the neices and nephews shopped for - year before last it was buy one Bionicle, get 2 free - I was all over that one!

I wonder if it followed her in there - maybe she thought it had dissipated? I hate it when you make yourself a nice distance from people and let it rip then someone walks into your cloud. That's so frustrating...

Sorry... gross...

I went shopping the day after Thanksgiving one year. That I think was the first and will be the last time. It was horrible trying to get through people at Toys R Us.

As far as the shopping goes I plan a head of time so I don't get pulled into buying that cheep crap. If its not on my list I try not to buy it (notice I said try  ). Also we never go to Toys R Us its just too packed!

I went shopping the day after Thanksgiving last year.. We wanted to get DS a PC and we got to the store at 3am and stood in line for 2 hrs and found out they gave coupons to the first 50 people for the PCs so then we went to Walmart and this woman about knocked me over to get to the PCs. I was pregnant and I was pissed. I told her she best not mess with a preggy lady cause I wasn't in the mood. While I was agruing with her this man came up and took the computer out of my hands. I chased him down too but he was meaner and bigger than me so oh well. I will never go again!!

Jenn, that would be messed up but I am also excited. I am waiting to hear.

I went to this sa yesterday and got a facial. I have never done anything like that before and it was so nice. Dh was being so sweet. He let me sleep and took care of Katie and then took me to the spa. And this weekend I think my mom is taking Katie for a night. DS is going to his dads also soooo that means sleep for me. YEAH!!!! Ok, Ok I guess DH can get a little sex but only if we start early so it doen't interfere with my nap. LOL!!!!!

Stella and I had a cold a while back, and it was so great watching her - she probably felt about how I did but it didn't stop her from doing anything... me on the other hand, I was like, oh lord kill me now! Babies are so wonderful!

Sorry to obsess ladies, but I don't really have anyone else to talk to about the whole oops the other night. I don't know if I was just being hypersensitive, but yesterday my body felt the exact way it did when we conceived Stella. I guess I am officially in the 2ww. Its so funny - for the longest time I was so ready to have another, but for about a month I have been having such a good time with Stella that I was ok with waiting until July, more than ok, I was happy about it. I was in denial on the outside, but I knew it was not gastritis..... one day I had a killer headache, and just suck it up b/c all we had was aleve and that is a no no while PG... this couple of weeks before testing... and I am in NO WAY in sync with my body... I guess it is maternal instinct!

I had mixed feelings at the beginning, and still wonder how I would manage both of them, and how to keep Dani feeling important... then I always remember that love multiplies when it comes to kids, so I try to relax.... in my case (considering my infertility past) both my babies are miracles, and I go from there!!

So, I hope the 2 weeks go by fast, so you can test and have an answer!!

[quote="DIVADLX"Sorry to obsess ladies, but I don't really have anyone else to talk to about the whole oops the other night. I also really really hate that if I am pg, that it was an accident..[/quote]

Awww girl i hear ya...i go back and forth..i love my two kids just the two of them and on days like this wehre they arent feeling good i couldnt imagine being preggo and sick and huge again..but i love babies and even if they are unplanned they are wonderous..

Jenn, if you are pg then dont think of it as an "accident". Think of it as a "suprise". And do NOT worry about obsessing over it. We are all here for you. *hugs*

When Stella had a cold I tried the syringe once and decided it was easier to just keep wiping... I hated it and she hated it so it was two against one!

Got to fill a lady's cart yesterday. It was so fun - she had just flown in and her daughter's shower was today and she wanted to do some "last minute speed shopping." She said she didn't remember anything about what a mom needs and her daughter didn't have a clue, so could I just take her around the store and put what I think she needs in the cart. So we got her a breast pump and everything breast (gel packs, purelan, pads, you name it!) and, well, just everything she would need. I'll bet she dropped at least $500. It was SO much fun. It was like a fantasy.

Jenn, how cool!! You get to shop for a baby but do not have to pay. I want to work there! And we went to hear you talk about what bothers you, thats what we are here for. I am excited for you.

Claudia, merry maids for free would be great!! My mom won a nanny for 5 hours and gave it to me. I don't think I will use it since I have so many wanting to babysit. Unless they will babysit at night. LOL!! Sorry Dani was sick. She takes her medicine better than I do. Babies are so awesome. They can get sick and keep on trucking as if nothing is wrong.

Sarah, sorry your babies are sick. I had to use that bulb thingy several times a day for the first 2 weeks. I hated it, i felt like I was torchering my poor baby.

How was everyone's weekend?

Ours was ok. Sat we lounged all day then watched two movies last night (DH and I). We rented Click and American Dreamz. It has been a LONG time since DH and I just laid in bed watching movies.

Today was rough. Marissa got the flu. Her temp went up to 102.8 and then down with advil. It was back up to 101.9 about a half hour ago but I gave her tylenol and now shes sleeping here on the couch. Peyton has been an ANGEL though, so that def helped.

I also went and bought Marissa a new 5pt harness carseat after reading Karis post. Marissa LOVES it. Its red and black (her fav color is red) and it has a head rest so when she falls alseep in the car her head stays in postiton.

Now DH is on his way home from work (he was there for 3.5 hrs) because hes still puking. :(

Awww.... was Marissa pukin' too? That really stinks, but I am glad that you and Pey didn't get it!

I worked all weekend. I am uncovering more and more the uglyish layers of "that place I work" (recent company memo requested that we not tarnish the name of "that place I work" online...) But I just figure, if I keep doing a good job and ignore all the drama, I'll get what I want out of it...

Oh yeah, and then there was Stella walking... ;)

I am so looking forward to tomorrow though - being with her all day!!! Yay!

Jai, I am sorry poor Marissa nd Dh is sick. Hope they feel better soon and you and Pey do not come down with it.

My weekend was ok. Saturday i had a free makeup session (ok it was not free since I bought some of the items) and we went house looking. Question, we looked at this one house, nice neighborhood, split level home. It had 3 BR and 2 baths upstairs, and 1 BR, den and half bath downstairs, it had a screened in porch, and about 1/2 acre. It was a nice house and plenty of room for us BUT the baths were really small. The kids bathroom was so small the toiletpaper holder is on the back of the door. The closets were very small. I have always dreamed of having a nice huge master bath with garden tub, walk in shower and a walk in closet. Ok my MIL likes it and is willing to help us get it and DH loves it so do I keep my mouth shut and go with it or do I say lets keep looking. It is 190,000., I can get a new house for that price but MIL wants us to stay in Pilot and here land is so high. (8 acres sold for 160,000.00 with a view of the mountain. )

On a great note my Broncos won!!!!! WHOO HOO they kicked some Steeler butt! LOL!!! I have a friend that is a Steller fan, one of those obnoxis (?) fans you want to smack so we watched the game together and now he owes me Arigotas Japanesse food. :D

They're tearing up my bathrooms today(removing old flooring and putting in tile). I'd have gone up to my mom's, but I have a doctor's appointment, so it's not worth the drive back and forth. I didn't realize how much crap they were going to drag in. My living room's full of tools, there's a commode sitting in the hall, and so on. I have to run up to the pool to pee. I should have thought more about this ahead of time and arranged to stay by a friends.

OK.................What do you all think!!!

I have a large family and one of my sisters wants to draw names for Christmas and also wants us all to pitch in to buy one gift for my mom and dad. I have said I would do it but I will also be buying a gift just from me. I love shopping and I love Christmas so drawing names isn't the best idea for me. Also I have already bought several gifts for my mom and dad and siblings and can't take them back. My sister asked and I told her what I thought. Do you think by not just going along with her idea that I am being a trouble maker. It would totaly ruin Christmas for me if I were not allowed to buy them some thing small. I also told them not to feel bad if they couldn't afford to buy us gifts because the fun for me was the shopping! LOL

I just feel bad that I am not just willing to be the "Yes" sister.

We are drawing names too, but I am making some special gifts for my parents & sisters.

My weekend was OK, we went to the fall festival and had tons of fun, and a sunburn :( Dani is feeling better, I guess she needed to be out and have some air!! she tried corndogs and kettle corn for the first time!! and she learned how to go upstairs!! she is brave, considering she tried before and fell down, but she went up 5 steps without any problems!! (she was looking for Mamma who was upstairs)
I had pizza for dinner on Saturday, and did not allow SK to ruin my weekend, so it was WONDERFUL!!!

Hope all the sick babies get well soon!!

Thanks! I understand that my sib. have some other things going on in there lives that make it hard to buy for every one. Also they have there spouces family to think about too. (DH is an only child and not close to his family so we don't buy for them). I would be stuck with a lot gifts that I have already bought that I can't take back (started shopping Dec. 26th of last year for this years Christmas. ). I just thought it was only fair to tell them ahead of time that I would go along with what ever but I already had gifts bought for most of them.

I'm a Steelers fan and they played like CRAP!! You deserved to win... I'm ashamed  of my team right now...

About the house... I would keep looking. I would never want to buy a house and then say, I HATE THESE SMALL BATHROOMS!!! every time I went into one. Also, closet space is really important. You need room to store stuff in! But if it was possible to remodel and make it better, then maybe I would consider it.

A house is so expensive and you just hate to go with something and then spend all your time thinking about the things you don't love.

I really hope you get this sorted out. Besides, your DH may think you love it and he may not be telling you something - maybe he's keeping his mouth shut about the bathrooms or something. Communication is always your best bet!

This weekend... I went shopping with my mom on Saturday without Hayden - he stayed home with dad. I felt a little naked, but it was nice. Then I came home and cleaned because my MIL came yesterday and left today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. She's just one of those naggy people who has a lot of little annoying things she does... the kind that eat away at the back of your mind until you finally feel like saying, WTF?!!?

But she's gone... (I'm dancing... teehee)... We're going down there for Thanksgiving so I'm mentally preparing - tried to be laid back.

Hayden just doesn't feel as comfortable around her as he does, say, my mom, though. She would hold him and try to play and he would fuss for me... (GOOD BOY!!)

P.S... I hate the fact that I'll probably be a MIL someday!

Tracy - a house is too large an investment to not love to pieces! I say pass it up - your dream house will come along. Also bathrooms and closets are super important - not something to overlook unless you have a stash of cash to fix them ASAP.

Pam - I resisted the first year my huge family decided to draw names - I loved buying gifts for every one! But now we're going on the 4th year and it is actually a pretty great thing - I can spend extra time, effort and money on the person I am buying for. I always get the kids something though. I'd say maybe compromise - tell your sis that you already have gifts for this year, but how about next year?

Michael - You can't pee in the middle of the night? Yikes!

One more week and I can test and end this agony of not knowing!

So I realized today I am tired of my week life... tired of rushing every morning to get ready for work and take Dani to daycare, of spending 10 min with her, and then only 2 hrs at night.... I have TONS of things to do, and I cannot do anything after work because Dani need to be fed, bathe and put to sleep, and I have to cook and all that.... I need to buy some shoes URGENTLY and I don't see that happening before Saturday... and then I have to drag DH and his son along.... I just need couple of days for myself to catch up and feel OK again!!

Nothing like a bad baby day to make you realize you can still wait to have the second one!!!

Ok, so things at work are changing, my boss is getting new responsabilities, and so will I.... and the person I replaced (who by the way cannot let go of her old position) is having a hard time letting go of her old job (my current one) because her boss quit, and she is on survival mode... anyways, she is somewhat nasty, so people are fed up with her and involved HR.... so I got the advise to talk to my boss and establish responsabilities, so she can back off...... I don't like to stir things at work, but I am tired of not doing anything because of her... so I gather the strenght and I will talk to my boss, so we can define positions!

UGH!! wish me luck!!

In the meantime, I will go by lottery tickets!! 17 million!!

Actually, you will for sure know before her. I will be too nervous to call her.

I realized last night that it would be totally cool if I was - except that I would be very embarassed because it wasn't totally planned out. It is just really not like me at all to do something this huge without months and months of planning. I mean, with Stella, I had started the prenatal vitamins and cut out all "bad" foods 3 months prior, visited the doc 2 months prior to make sure everything was in working order, we actually did hospital tours 1 month prior... all this prior to conception people!!!

Now I must get myself to Costco for more prenatal vitamins (which I should be taking for the BFing anyway...)

Jenn, I also felt like a complete idiot when I realized I was PG again, and I think part of the reason why I don't want people to know is because I am dreading the "so soon??" with the accusatory look... I know it it NON of their business, but still....

But then again, given the circumstances and the fact that I needed a specialist for Danielle, I am nothing but grateful for my little miracle... and to h3ll with what other people think or say!!

Ty, you can always jump here and change subject, that is what this place is about!!

Ok, I'm making split pea soup....recipe called for Sazon Goya w/o Annato? What is that? I used Sazon con Azafran. Well, I hope it's good no matter what.

I must be ovulating. Seeing all these babies and all the talk about BFP's is making me want to go grab a guy off the street!

Annato is a spice that at least in Mexico is used to make a pork meal called Cochinita Pibil. It is not spicy, it is kind of smokey and sweet... I guess it would give the soup a strange flavor

Jenn, do you have a specific testing date? If so, what is it?

Also, do you prefer Jen or Jenn (one 'n' or two)? :)

My mom just told me she is buying me a plane ticket home for a week in December right before Christmas!! Since we'll be in Canada on Christmas day she said we could celebrate early at her house. She's dying for some Christmas fun with her first and only grandson. I'm so pumped!!

The computer store called... my hard drive is fried and has to be replaced. Everything on there is lost. Luckily most is backed up on my DH's computer, but I may have lost some pictures. Not many though.

Yeah, that soup does sound good! I LOOOOOVE split pea soup.

Jenn or Jennifer is fine... I do not prefer to be called Jenny... just don't call me late for dinner! :D

Ok...

Split Pea Soup
1 lb. dry green split peas
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 packet Sazon Goya without Annatto
1/4 lb. smoked diced ham
1 small onion chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 med carrot diced (I didn't add this)
Salt and pepper to taste.
6 cups water.

Sort and rinse peas. Combine ingredients in a 6-8 qt. pot. Bring to boil; lower to simmer and cover. Simmer until peas are tender.

I didn't time it, but think I let it go for an 1 1/2 or so figuring the flavors would further combine. It was a little thick. Ciara turned her bowl upside down, and it stayed put  So, you can add more water as it simmers down.

man i have missed alot.

Jenn, i can't wait until Friday.

My baby is gone to DC with his school. He left yesterday morning at 5am and will not be back until late Thursday night. I miss him!! He must miss me also since he called me yesterday like 30 times and last night at 130am,230am,530am and again at 730am. Poor thing was crying his girlfriend was talking about breaking up with him. My son breaks his collor bone, breaks his arm in 2 places twice and not once shed a tear but this morning he was balling. I haven't heard him cry in years. It broke my heart, i wanted to drive to DC and smack that girl.

Talked to Dh about the house and we prayed about it so we will see. I want to go back and look at it again.

Did i tell ya'll that katie said Da!!!! I gave her the look and she gave me the biggest smile and looked back at daddy and said Da again. No way she knows what she is saying but since Drew made such a big deal over it when ever he is around she will say it. Oh the other day Katie was trying to fuss while I was taking a shower, knowing nothing is wrong with her I gave her the look and said no-no, well she gave me the look back!!! She is so funny lately. Every day now is something new. I love this stage!

Jenn, I am anxious to hear the testolympic results!!

Holly, sorry about the hard drive... that is why DH has like 3 back ups for the pictures, computers are hell sometimes... what was so wrong about having negatives????

Christmas shopping!! I am not buying too much stuff for home as we will be out, but I love to do ornaments and crap like that. In my parents house, Xmas decoration was a whole family event, soooo cool!!! but my parents made a special theme for this year, they have a section Dani friendly and some ornaments and the top for her to place once we get there!! I love how excited they are to spend Christmas with us!!

Sarah! I was thinking maybe the coworker's wife has terrible hemorroids and incontinence, or bad BO... you never know!!

So... I think baby is starting to move... or he/she is protesting of the terrible thinner and varnish odor we have in the office!! My boss sent an email stating the smell was bad for me b/c I am PG... how cute is that????

Who else goes and cut a fresh Christmas tree??? WE DO!!! that is the closest we have to a cold winter!!!

We'll go and get one over Thanksgiving weekend. I have requested the day after Thanksgiving off, so hopefully they'll respect that and we'll be able to go shopping!

I have automatic back-up because the pictures go from my husband's computer to mine. So they are always on both. Plus he's a computer genius so even if something happened he could probably get them off. And important occasions are always accompanied by my "real" camera, so I always have back up that way too. Yeah, can you tell that all of my baby pictures were lost and I have 2 photos of myself as a baby?

I can't believe its Thursday already! Well, for Sarah it's Friday :) Yay - I don't work tomorrow, but then I work 1-10 on Saturday. :? I am trying to figure out a job where I can still work with mommies and babies, that I won't take the work home with me, that can be part time, in the evenings, but that pays better. It killed me last night to think that I was away from my family for those 4 hours for what? $32. Just doesn't seem worth it to me.

We've had a real tree once in the past 5 years. DH and Marissa picked the BIGGEST dang one on the lot and it fell over at least 3 times. After it was already decorated, breaking some of my ornaments. And one time almost fell ON dh. I can laugh now, I wasnt then. :)

But we have a REALLY pretty fake tree. Its big and has lights already on it. My least favorite part of hanging decorations.

You know before I came along DH never even had a tree (except when he was little like up to 8). It was just him and his mom, and too much of a hassle for them. I couldnt believe it. I put my tree up right after Thanksgiving.

Its been hard not to, but it would have been a waste of money. When I was pg with Stella none of the early tests came out positive. I might have had a faint line on one of them, but I don't remember.

It has been especially hard because all day today nursing has hurt so much - maybe I am just hallucinating, but my bbs are so tender.

Tomorrow we'll start - but don't get your hopes up. I have very little faith that we'll see a line tomorrow - pg or not!

You guys make a girl all giddy!

So far so good - only one line. I will test again on Sunday though, since with Stella none of the tests gave a positive until right up where I was supposed to get my period.

Yeah, I got up at 6:30 at my husband's request (its about when he leaves for work) and he was already gone. So I peed on the stick and went back to bed because it was taking forever. Then Stella woke up early (7:45 - jeez, where'd my 9:00 am baby go?) and I checked it. One solid line.

However, I did dream that I got a positive. You'll be happy to know that in my dream I tested in a park bathroom and my singular thought was "I can't get on a computer here - how am I going to tell my APA girls?" In my dream I even thought about trying to do it from my phone!

I am feeling relieved, but knowing my history with early pregnancy tests, I'll keep on taking the prenatals, avoiding caffiene, and all that good stuff!

Thanks for thinking of me again! And yes, at 4:06 I was sleeping - but I was dreaming about you guys!

Dr finally got the Hb (baby loves to move) and everything is OK... so far I gained 4 lb!!!... and Nov 27 I have my gender U/S, and the quad screen... keep your fingers crossed that everything is ok!

I bought my cards yesterday, and then more today, b/c I went over the list for apa and I have over 46 names? Wow. I might have counted one or two twice.
I went to the coumadin clinic...dang it, my INR # is still low. So they're upping the meds again. I can't wait for it to stabilize, so I can eat spinach! Oh, and I went back down to the car and realized I'd left C's bottle behind, so had to go back to fetch it. Today is the first time I've taken her that she hasn't screamed! Sherry, I really hope things stabilize soon for you!!!

For Thanksgiving, we're traveling 8 hours to Kentucky to dh's parent's house. I'm concerned that Hayden will be incredibly uncomfortable in his baby seat :? On our two hour car trip home, he didnt' look really comfy. I'm tempted to go out and get a convertible just so he's comfy  8 hours is a long ride!!!

For Christmas, we're going to my hometown (where I was this week)...

I dunno if we're gonna get a Christmas tree or not. We don't really have any room in our living room. Last year we moved the love seat into the "spare room" to fit the tree... but now that's a nursery filled with baby stuff, so that won't work. Maybe a Charlie Brown on the table or something...

Ah! Baby fest! At ours today you could have gotten free food too! :)

Hey ladies - if ever you are shopping at an unnamed baby store could you please:

Not allow your children to destroy every aisle of the store
Not pull things off of high shelves thereby breaking the packaging just because you don't want to ask for help
Not open up packages that are sealed in plastic, empty the contents and just leave them on the shelf (presumably because after you saw the contents and liked them, you bought the sealed pretty one.)

I had an 8 1/2 hour shift today and I felt like all I did was clean up after people who had just totally not cared about the fact that no, the hemmeroid cream does not belong next to the bottles, and no, it is not a good idea to allow your 5 year old to take down every single hooded bath towel and leave them in a heap on the floor.

*growl*

***bows head*** no... BUT I have at least gotten to the point of planning to!

After I get AF, I'll make my date. Otherwise, if I get a BFP, I'll just have to cancel.

Hey - free portraits with Santa and BRU on Tuesday (At least here) Holly - you wanna go? What day is the LLL thing?

I cannot imagine starting a new thread - but I agree with Holly if it becomes too bad for all y'all.

Jai

I can deal with the slowness. :D

Hey, wait theres FREE pics w Santa on Tues there. Ill have to call my store tomorrow to see if they have it too.

We went and seen Santa yesterday and got pics, but they were spur of the moment pics so the girls werent "all cutesy". Marissa was estactic though. Santa gave her a coupon for a ice cream cone at the Hagan Daz (sp) store in the mall. AND he knew exactly what the polly pocket car she was talking about was. :D

Sounds like a good santa Jai!

Portraits w/ Santa! Fun! Sounds great. I forgot, what store do you work at again?

The LLL thing is Wednesday. Is it okay if we do that instead of NINO? We went to Bellvue and then Seattle last night, so I'm a little traveled out. :)

I always miss those at BRU.... :? but I went and did ALL the things I needed, bought couple of things for Christmas presents, so I am getting all excited and Christmasy!

I think Baby Fest is every second Saturday of the month.

Another BFN today... I think I officially can breathe a happy sigh. Not that being pg would have been the end of the world, but since I only get to do it one more time, this wasn't how I wanted it to go. Thanks ladies for all your excitement though!

I look so forward to Mondays. I work all weekend so Mondays make me so happy because i get to spend the whole day with Stella.

One of my big bummers was that I had Stella's pics taken with the Easter Bunny and papa took them to work and I never saw them again. :(

Drew now works for ebgames so all i hear about is games and systems. If he is the top seller he wins a X-box 360 in December. I hope he wins, that will be Dylans christmas present. LOL!!!

I need to call BRU and ask about Santa pics. I hope they are doing them tomm here. I bought Katie a green Christmas dress for $10.00 and can't wait to try it on her.

Diva, i read a few lines of the post about the meet up (katie started srying, i will try to get back to it) I noticed that things died down also, i was so excited to meet everyone. Well now I will just have to visit every state so I can meet my APA friends.

lighter note...go panthers tonight!!! My son is there, i hope he doesn't freeze his butt off. I bought him gloves but he left them.

DH and Marissa play Xbox. THey play racing games. Its hilarious because you just see Marissa ramming into the wall. We did get her a Dora game for the GameCube and she loves it. :D

Tracy - actually according to the new company policy we cannot officially declare ourselves at BRU employees and talk about guests or coworkers online. That is why you might see me refer to "you know how I meet a lot of pg women on my job" and never really say BRU...

I spent the day with my mom today. It was pretty fun - but have you ever noticed how when you go to someone's house that is not baby proofed how much more tired you get?

Me, DH, DD, DS, Dog, and Cat all went to get our christmas pics taken with santa on sunday..it was so fun adn the proceeds went to the humane society..

sarah, i gave (well i didnt give her, she FOUND) an old magazine and we had fun ripping it up. i had to take all the small bits out of her hands so they didnt end up in her mouth, but she loves paper....

maybe for christmas ill just wrap up boxes and let her tear up the paper!

Christi I was going to suggest giving her an old magazine too. DD LOVES them...and newspapers. I have to watch her, too, to make sure the paper doesn't end up in her mouth.

How is it going for you, working at home?

HollyJo

Let's see... lately we tear up magazines, push buttons on the phone, stack ice trays and knock them down, put dominos in and out of a tin, put shoes in and out of the show basket, read stories, dance to Christmas music (don't forget to dip ;)), and lay out obstacles for C to climb over and under. :)

Hah... today Caiden learned the sound/word "brrrrr!" I got one of the frozen juice concentrate cans out of the freezer to explore and now everytime he touches the can he says, "brrrrrrrrr..." (Well, the 'r' sound isn't quite 'r'... but you get the idea).

I've never seen Grey's Anatomy. There's so much hype about the show, I bet I'm missing out huh?

Ok on a daily basis we:

Crawl around chasing each other
Practice walking
do laundry (aka - mom does laundry while Stella empties out any basket within reach... or drawer... or container...)
Go for a walk (when its not raining)
Go to the pet store
try to eat cat food
empty the contents of toy boxes... fill them back up... empty them out... repeat ad nauseum
try to eat cat food
Empty contents of all low cupboards in kitchen
try to eat cat food
play with books (she steals them from me as soon as I start to read them because she wants to read them herself)

I really love outings and walks. It gives us so many opportunities to talk about things.

Thanks girls! This one is BAD!! I don't even know how to start! I am 100% positive that DH and I will be getting a Divorce. I am just not sure when. I think it will be after chirstmas some time. He is now living with his mom but will more than likly be goin to jail for 3-10 years. I don't want to say what he did be cause I am so ashamed!! I am in shock and had no idea what was going on. On top of all that its because of me he was turned into the police. Also Sunday when Morgan and I got home from Church a swat team of 11 people come into my house and tore it apart. How is a single mom going to find time to put the house back together!! UGH!! I will say this DH's charges have nothing to do with drugs and they put me in danger of losing Morgan. I am 99.9% positive I won't lose Morgan the main detective says I have nothing to worry about because if I would have been taking part in what DH is doing I wouldn't have let them know about it. I am so sick and so lost! What kills me more than any thing is this man I have been married to for 5 years was doin some thing in my house and I had no clue! Worse than that even thouse his crime was DISCUSTINGGGGG!! I still love him but can't be with him because he isn't good for me or Morgan and if he is around I WILL lose her. You can't just turn love off like you do a light switch. I am sure I will learn in time to stop loving him. sorry for the rambeling!
