Thanks Ash, but we didn't have to do IVF thank God. We just did regular IUI (artificial insemination) and it worked on the 6th try for me and 1st try for Tara.

I have honestly been one very blessed person to have been able to coceive and give birth to a healthy little boy, but if I weren't, I would certainly look into alternate forms of conceiving.

If I were to choose a reproductive alternative, I'd choose in vitro fertilization. The woman's ovaries are stimulated with fertility drugs to produce mulitple ova. The mature eggs are then removed from teh woman's ovary and fertilized in a laboratory dish by her partner's sperm. After 2 or 3 days, these fertilized eggs are insterted into the uterus. The left over fertilized eggs are then frozen for future use. If the first implantation is not successful, the process can be repeated (Crooks & Baur, p.298). This method seems to be quite successful. It has increased 30% after 30 years of development.

Yes, it is hard on the female, and often times painstaking on the pocketbook, but I would choose this method over the others. I've seen it work. Maybe that's a bad reason to choose a method over another, but I would if I were there.

I have seen what not being able to carry a child to term has done to my aunt and uncle, and why they chose In vitro fertilization. I've seen my lesbian friends, Stephanie and Cara, desperately want a family and not be able to work things out naturally. I've seen countless women try, and try again to have that one little miracle come out positive on a home pregnancy test, blood test, ultrasound, and so on. I think that' reproductive alternatives are an amazing technology that we have been given, and it has helped so many that would not have otherwise been able to, have precious children of their own.

I am having a rough day, besides it being Monday.... Dani wanted to pee in the potty today, but she already went in the diaper, which means at least 2 hrs before she pees again, still she wanted to sit on the potty... I don't want to discourage her, but we were running late for work, so I had to take her off the potty..... I am feeling like a HORRIBLE LOUSY MOM because I cannot take the time to PT her, and I have to leave it to the daycare lady..... ARGH!!! :cry:

Anyways, yesterday the changing table broke, so I told Dani she couldn't go in the table, and showed her where it broke, and I said that Daddy would fix it later... she went and got her plastic hammer and started fixing the table... why wait for Daddy, huh??? :wub: I love this child!!!

We had a nice weekend. We cleaned out and reorganized our garage all day Saturday in the 120 degree weather...LOL!!! Yesterday, was our evening out with our friends who threw us the shower and we took them to Ruth's Chris. It was expensive but the best steak I have ever eaten!!!

Okay, now I come to work on Monday and find out the in 3 days I'm moving to another group and reporting to another manager. I don't have all the details yet but it looks like I might get to work from home full time!!! I will know alot more in the next 2 days but keep your fingers crossed for me! It would be so nice with gas prices to not have to drive 60 miles roundtrip everyday plus be able to work in my pajama's....:laugh:

Still no grade yet for my class this semester. Stupid professor, I'm dying to know if I got a B or not.....

For me things just build up. I have a drawer in my kitchen thats broke and about 5 more that need to be fixed before they break, my outside water faucet leaks and I can't shut it off and its running my water bill up, my blinker went out on my car 2 weeks ago or more and even though I have ordered the bulb to fix it I don't know how, I am lonley, my brothers ex wife called me a pedifile! and I cried for ever and a day about that she made it sound like I was in on the crap Grant was doing, my roof still hasn't been fixed, my house is a mess, and the list goes on. Okay Ashley, I went. Now it's your turn. I even scheduled my root canal for the 18th (GASP!).

Yeah, so I was basically told that the pulp in that tooth is probably really inflamed and it's going to be painful....not fun. But, I've got to do it. It's already been put off for 9 months.

Dh is at his interview now. I'm a nervous wreck and probably will be for the next two weeks (when we get the letter). If he gets it, it's gonna be a tough year, but man it will be so much better after that. PLUS, it's GOOD medical insurance for around $50 a month....that would be sooooo awesome!!

Yesterday ended up as bad as it started... when I picked the kids up from daycare, the lady told me Dani fell and hurt her ear.... it was all red but not swollen, as she put some ice on it.... she said Dani cried for a long time... WHY SHE DIDN'T CALLED ME???:rant::po: I would have gone there ASAP and take care of my DD who needed Mami..... ugh!! I just cried and told Dani I was sorry I wasn't there for her, and what does she does?? she hugs me and says "I sorry mami"... broke my heart :crying: The whole afternoon I was a mess, I cried like 20 times... this has to stop somehow!!!

And last, I need to switch therapists because my insurance is not covering the current one... GREAT :crossed:

My nephew used to stutter when he was about 3 years old..the doctor said its usualy a phase and they work through it, he told my sister not to bring attention to it and just ignore it for now..and she did and it went away..i hope yours is an easy fix like that..

We had a horrid night... Dani can open the door now, so she gets up and goes out like every 10 min... and every time she does, Chris wakes up and cries (can you say separation anxiety from sister???)... so we bought a child proof knob cover, and she freaked out.... I stayed with her for about 1 hr, calming her down, talking to her, but the moment I left the room, she would bawl :eyeroll:... we left her crying for a while but it didn't work, DH tried to calm her down, then when he left, cries again (she was in our room as Chris needed to sleep).... finally I got up and turned the light in our bathroom on, and she stayed in the room... I went and sat in the stairs waiting to hear the door opening, she did, then I told her "I don't know what else to do... please go sleep", and she did.... at 9 pm.
I am starting to believe she is not liking the darkness, so I asked if she wanted a night light and she said yes... so night light today and see how it goes!!!
On a good note, she peed in the potty 2 times and this morning!!!

The letters were done by a lady on ebay who hand paints them whatever colors/theme you are doing. They were around $60, so $10 per letter. She will either put hardware on the back to hang them or ribbons to hang them that way. I was very impressed. I'll be glad to find her seller name if anyone is interested.

I am doing good, thanks for asking. I forgot to update y'all about Chris though, didn't I? After Thursday night, I didn't speak to him at all on Friday. Saturday morning he called and wanted to come over. I told him no. Then he said he was going to bring me the money for daycare and I told him to leave it in the mailbox. He said if I didn't let him come see Chris, he wasn't going to give me the money. :wtf: FINE! Plus, I know I shouldn't try to keep Little Chris from him 'cause that's not fair to Little Chris. He came over and was like, "You flipped out for nothing. It's just a friend, you even know her. Plus, I'm not going to do anything anyway as long as we're still married." Blah, blah, blah. I believe him but I have my guard up for sure. I know who the girl is, she used to date one of his friends and that's how they know each other. She just had a baby a few months ago and I was like, "are you sure it's not yours?" He told me to stop being dumb. :eyeroll:

So, yeah I think he's a total dumb a$$ for doing that, but there's not much I can do. As long as he still helps me support Chris then I will try to be ok with it.
