Salad sounds soooo good Ashley.
My family won't do pinto/butter/white beans. I was thinking potato salad too. Got a good recipe?
Now if I could just find a "green" veggie.
It's really easy.
Peel or don't peel your potatoes. (I do because I use russets.)
Boil them until you can slide a knife through them easily.
Boil some eggs while you're at it.
While that's cooking, cut up red bell pepper, green bell pepper, onion, and celery to the size of your choice. I make them chunky so dh can pick them out.
After you've boiled the potatoes, let them cool. Peel the eggs and let them cool.
Cut up the eggs, add in the veggies and some dill pickle relish(or sweet if that's your liking.)
Add in a few tablespoons of mustard (more or less to taste.)
Add in miracle whip (or mayo..) to the desired consistency.
Salt and pepper to taste. Mimie used Tony's or TexJoy in hers also.
Stir the potatoes more if you'd like something more creamy and less chunky.

Welcome back Candice, glad you had fun!!
Lynn, I do this roasted potatoes that are yummy: red potatoes cut in small pieces, drizzle them with olive oil, add salt, pepper, rosemary or any other herb, garlic powder and if you want a kick, paprika or chili powder, put them on the oven at 425f for 25-30 minutes.... they are delicious!!
That salad sounds just wonderful!!!
It is 11:40 and I haven't done much at work... worst part is I don't feel guilty about it!!!

I have tons to do at work but I just don't have the motivation... my eyes hurt (I am assuming a virus) from staring at the computer, and I just want some chocolate, but the vending machine is gone.......
I guess it is a good thing that we don't have a back yard, because I would spend a big chunk of money on playgrounds!!!!
We went to see the bankruptcy attorney yesterday... we are waiting couple weeks so they don't take a bonus I got in December as income, which puts us on chapter 13 instead of 7.... I cannot wait until it is over, so I can start saving some money for the kids (I have some saved, but I have to wait to open the accounts after the BK) and for myself!!!

He pointed to his movie and grunted. lol. I asked if he wanted the Little Einsteins, and he said, "Yes." He was so happy. lol. And then Mimi drove up in her new Town & Country~ with Swivel & Go seats. He's in movie/van heaven right now. lol.

Hi my loves!!
Oh oh!! I bought a Weight Watchers recipe book and I am PUMPED with all the suggestions!!! I told DH I wanted to make more home made food, but he brought me back to the "barely have time world".... told him I should take a day off per month, send kids to daycare and stay home to cook and freeze (if we had a bigger freezer you betcha!!)
I did this all those years I lived at my house with O, and eventually the babies. I did had a maid and a sitter by them, but I love to cook and to make healthy home made food, even if they arent "too healthy" but I knew they where made with fresh ingredients, let me know if I can help you with freezing recipes I made huge amounts of tomato sause, chop and freezed in lil tappers, helped a lot, I just added p.e. rice, meat and the sause and had a yummy caserole in 30 min. I freezed all in one meal size, meat, roast beef, chicken etc...so was just take this and that boil pasta and voila:winks: I never had much time either since I work full time and always did, but if I wanted something that took me more time for the next day lunch I started doing it the night before while I made dinner and just finished the next day....believe me, once you are doing one meal it´s easy to do one or two more, and freeze, or make that meal larger, eat part of it and freeze in portions the rest of it. You wont regret.
Oh and I WANT A WW BOOK!!!
or I just saw the Hungry Girl book has tons of easy low calories recipes and tells you WW points too it´s only 10$ in amazon...seems amazing but it would cost a zillions of shipment I guess :(

Tracy, forgot to say woo hoo on the weight loss!!
So I have been eating less food and I am starting to get used to it. I have fruit and cottage cheese for breakfast (8 am) and get hungry around 13:30, when I have lunch (salad/veggies as much as possible) and then I eat again at 7:30 pm..... I also stopped having sweets and I am feeling good about it!!
I saw that hungry girl place... I am so doing that quesadilla chicken salad!!!

One of the 10 reasons to get a new bra.
You have lost or gained weight. The breasts are largely fatty tissue, and even adding five pounds can make significant changes in their size, warranting a new bra. Anytime you lose or gain more than 10 pounds, you should get fitted for a new bra to make sure you are getting the right size.
newmami
05-21-2008, 02:26 PM
I have never been fitted for a bra.............
But after Chris was born, I had to buy bigger size (went to a C cup)

well i had a long talk with DH last night :( apparently for quite some time now he has no no no sex drive..AT ALL..so he says the concerns i am having with lack of intimacy arent on his mind cause there isnt a drive at all..im guessing its the meds :( what can you do..i told him i didnt know how to handle this, and i am struggeling. He said well what do you want me to do (in a nice way) and said i guess i need to figure something out or try change thing. I said well what can you do...if thats how yoiu feel you cant force yourself to feel differently..man i was on BC years ago before lucea and it was horrible i had no drive whatsoever..i mean i couldnt have cared less if i ever had sex..so i know how he feels..but i miss being wanted and desired its really hard for me..sowe talked about it last night and than he fell asleep right in the middle of the conv..:( and well i wnet downstairs watched the real world and cried..im jsut so sad, i told him i'm worried that what if its like this forever what if things never change. He asked if i think we can get through this, of course i said yes. he asked what options we have i said i have not clue im lost this is all new to me...i dotn knwo the answer..its hard because its not like BC where i could just change it and get my libido back..he has to have these meds for the MS he will be on meds forever so who knows :(
thanks for allowing me a pitty party this morning

Morning ladies, I have my receptionist duty today..........:wtf:
Sarah, I am so sorry sweetie that Matt is being so selfish... I don't know what else to say, obviously talking is not helping.... is he having some.. ummm problems peforming because of the MS??? maybe that is the problem and he is too embarrased to talk about it, so he just brushes you off???????
I hope he can talk to you and you can get the intimacy back... as much as I don't crave it, I understand and respect that it is important in the marriage
Enjoy the time with Lex, Ash!!! I have no clue how you can work on excel without having it in your computer :chinscratch:
So DH is really making an improvement this week, he is helping more with the kids, and I can actually see a change in both of them... Chris reaches out for him more often, so does Dani... they are in a better mood (so am I) and Dani is not throwing tantrums... it is amazing how much the parents mood affect the little ones!!
Cute story, I put Chris in the tub and I was running the water while wrapping his diaper for disposing.... Dani was next to me and she started "bathing" Chris  I asked her if she was going to give him a bath, and she answered YES!

I'm glad we talked, he felt bad i couldnt come to him sooner. Were both at a loss right now. I didnt mention gettin on something yet, he did say "they make stuff for this dont they" but lord you guys were 28 and 29 years old :( i feel like were 60 ya know..it shouldnt be this way and it makes me so sad..i know how he feels haveing no drive and i know when it was me there was nothing i could do to make myself want it it just waas not there ya know , no desire whatsoever.. ugh so i guess we just give it some more time and see what happens..if it doesnt come back than i guess we decide together if meds more meds more meds are the way to go..:(
sometimes i would give so much to give him back who he was...seeing him take shots everyday, get worn out, all the meds, the chemo..i hate seeing anyone especially my 28 year old husband go through that..

Chris also has an obsession with keyes, and gets frustrated if he doesn't get them... as that is a battle I am not willing to fight, I just let him play and he is a happy camper
"Don't start with me!" , that is hysterical!!!!

I was telling saratoo here those playhouses (plastic) can be like 500-700USD easily since we import them from states, but wood is cheap maybe I could get one for the kiddos for christmas, everyone will enjoy it, Im sure, I want something Santi, Stefi and soon Enzo can play in too, but I dont wanna use so much space in my mamas back yard since she is always throwing parties there
but something like this would rock! maybe that house on top could be bigger and to came down from it they can use the slide...how cool is that?

I forgot to tell you guys. Last night DH tells me that starting June 16th (I think) they are starting to work on two stores...one is in Ft. Myers and one is in Tampa. So he would go to Ft Myers work for 2 days (actually they have to do the renovations at night) and then travel one day and go up to Tampa and do those renovations. He was all bummed that he would be away form us for a week (and inside I'm all Yipeeee!) and then he goes well I could drive back and forth from Ft. Myers but not from Tampa. :ohno: Oh no you don't! Yay Bel!!!
I just got off the phone with the whole Univ. of Phoenix thing... wow that's a long process. My counselor guy told me that if there's any way possible for me to finish here, let him know, because he wants me to spend less if I can. He said it'd be more and probably mre hours, but we went through it all to see what I CAN do, you know? I'll be so much more to pay, but I don't know. Dh doesn't like the idea so far.

Oh yes, I have Monday off too. So this new job that DH took pays them for holidays which is unusual in construction. Anyway his 90 probationary period is up on June 5th and they are NOT going to pay him for Monday! Cheapskates! Its less than 2 weeks I could see if he had questionable performance but he is doing good.
CandiceLeigh
05-23-2008, 03:09 PM
Eh, I'm ok. Talked with DH again last night about things. I will tell y'all all about it, but don't feel like getting into it right now. Next week though. Suffice to say, we are totally civil with each other and he's been GREAT about coming to see Chris every day this week without fail. He really missed Chris when we were in San Antonio.
I am not by any means over him (I'm sure that's going to take a good long while) and sometimes I feel like I'm living in a really bad dream. I still wish he would come home and I'm so irritated with myself for that.
Opps, sorry for the mini flood gate I unleashed.

well i made a mountain out of a mole hill i guess.
Dh called today at noon..i said you had a late night..(i was up till midnight he still wasnt home) he siad yeah got off work at 12:00..
fast forward i am off work..home doing dishes he says so and so at work printed off this hooters blog to read, about why everyones mad we got one here. OH YEAH I FORGOT we went to hooters last night..
i say..so you got off work at midnight or you didnt?
he says well i got done at 11 and went to hooters..
SO YOU didnt get done with work at midnight..
he says i forgot all about it when i talked to you one the phone, i had just woke up.
i say hmmm ok
now normally this wouldnt bug me at all cause i coudlnt care less if DH goes out after work or whenever but it bugs the **** out of me because i feel like **** about our relatinship or lack thereof right now and it makes me pissy that he goes to a restaurant with skimmpily dresseed woman when **** he doesnt look at me ever at home.
i know soooo overreacting and i know that but if i felt better abotu us or me right now it wouldnt have bothered me..but it did not because i feel like crap about our lack of anything lately..so we kinda had it out on the phone but ugh im just worn out from this whole thing..tired of it..

We're at home today, how's everyone's holiday?
I lost the pendant somwhere between here and the park yesterday morning... the one I got for Mother's Day. I was a blubbering mess most of the day. Dh said that if we can't find it, there will most likely be a new one in the near future. I was just so proud of it, you know? I had hinted at one of those since before Lex was born, and I just got one. Dh wants to see if any of our friends have a metal detector before he gives up for good. P.S. the park is all mulch. blech.
We went to two parks today. Half an hour at each. Now we're home. Dh's at school. They don't get off. :(

I like this guy and would love to get to know him better. Only problem is.. his divorce was just over in April. Now he and I have one thing in common and that is that our relationship with our SO was over long before the divorce. I like him but I like him in the I could see him being Mr. Forever ya know. I don't want to be his rebound girl. Any way I don't even know if he notices me in that way. So how do you let a guy know you intrested in him with out being like a little puppy begging here I am date me pick me love me!!! LOL I just want to get the chance to know him. From the outside looking in he has ever thing I am looking for. I mean he isn't cute but he is OK and looks are not #1 on my list any more. I think he is handsome don't get me wrong but he is no Capt. Jack. LOL

Yep... I am doing my best to play it cool. LOL When I go for my walks on the first round he isn't outside but by the 2nd he is sitting on the tail gate of his truck. I try to think of some thing to say but it just comes out a sheepish HI. He lives a few houses up from me.

Hey ladies!!!
I came to work late because I had an OB appointment, so I am trying to catch up work and here
Candice, I am glad you and big Chris are being civil, and that both of you have in mind that Chris Jr is the most important thing now... HUGS for you :hugs:
Sarah, sorry Matt was such a butthead.... men!! :pokey:
How was the weekend with Heather???
Lynn, new car?? WOO HOO!! did you got the CRV??
Pam, I am always available for guy talk... how well do you know this guy? can you just say hi and make some small talk with him, and see how it goes???
Hey Ash!! sorry about the pendant dear :( I hope you are able to find it.
Our weekend was super fun, went to the aquarium and Busch Gardens... Dani went crazy with the animals, Chris slept almost the whole time at the aquarium, but managed to wake up to play in the slide (loved it) and he slept part of the day in Busch Gardens... we didn't stay long because it was super hot, humid and crowded, but it was OK. Dh behaved and helped as much as he could... his son was a PITA almost the whole time, so he had to deal with him :crossed:

Hi! Afternoon now, I guess.
Yay on the new car, Lynn! What kind is it?
I'm glad you had a good time with Heather, Sarah. I wish I could meet up with the two of you sooo badly! Well, all of you ladies at that..
I love talking guy talk, Pam! Fire away! Are you friends? You could always just flirt a little when you're together, or do what I did. lol. I freaked Michael out when we were out working one day and somehow got talked into riding home with him. I put my hand on his arm, and he knew. lol.
I'm sorry for the negativity before you even read this paragraph...
Mil is watching Lex tomorrow only, so I'm home most of the time. I went into work this morning. Someone's out to get me fired, I tell you. I went in to take the budget to my boss and see what else I could do from home. She asked me if we could take a walk with Lex. We walked around campus and she started telling me about the rumor mill hitting the fan about me Friday. I'm taking off too much work and I'm leaving at 4 a bunch. Well, she tells me I can leave early most of those times, or I work through lunch and go home to get Lex from school or mil. I document everything. Some others are jealous that they don't get to do the same, so they're spreading crap to get me fired, as my boss said to me. She also said that I told the chair of the dept that I was bored, so I was sitting in the main office. Ummm, no. Not to that woman. Good grief, this is awful.
On a good note, Lex fell asleep on his own today!

05-27-2008, 12:56 PM
Claudia! Sorry to here about the OB appointment! I hate those!
Great news about Lex! Sorry about the Crap going on at work! I know what your dealing with my boss doesn't care how much I am here as long as my work is done on time but if the girls in the office upstairs notice I leave before them they feel like they are not being treated fair and start to gripe about me. Its not my fault they work for a hard nose!
Nah.. I don't know Mike well. We have only talked twice (consisiting of just 2 or 3 phrases) and a hello here and there. Every day i set out on my walk I think today is the day I'll say some thing. Every day he says hi I turn red say hi back and keep walking. LOL Last time we talked it went like this...
Mike: Hi
Me: Hi, gosh your neighbors TV is loud.
Mike: I know I wish they would turn it down.
Me: Ah... maybe I am just getting old. Laugh
Mike: Me too. Laugh
Me: Have a good night.
Mike: You too

Pam, if you are up to it, you can always engage in a little more conversation, whatever that can be....I say build a frienship first, then go from there
OB appointment, I don't mind those at all honestly... Dentist?? no thank you!!!
My OB is so cute, he kept talking while he was doing the PAP, just to distract me, then he asked how things were at home, and told me "you and your DH need to go to Counseling"... I love him to pieces, he is a very caring person (at least with me)
He even asks about my parents!

05-27-2008, 01:26 PM
I remembered you saying that your OB was sweet. I wish mine was. LOL and I am with you I would rather go to the OB any day of the week then to have dental work.
I am trying my best to build up a friendship with him and just get to know him slow but ever time I see him I wish we had more than a few minutes to talk ya know. I would love to sit and pick his brain over diner. LOL How do I know so much about him.... well... we live in a little town and too his EX works at the University. She was the one who called me the day after Grant was arrested and told me to move my family off the street. she asked me how I could endager so many kids by living there. When I told her I had no clue it was going on she laughed and said I dont' believe that and you leave or I'll run you off myself. With in 2 or 3 weeks we were talking without her sceaming at me again within 6 months she had left her husband for some one new. It took him a year to give in to the divorce.

OB appointment, I don't mind those at all honestly... Dentist?? no thank you!!!
hehe.. I say the same thing any time someone asks. I've dreaded the dentist so bad it's not even funny. lol.
My new OB does the same thing to me. Kept me talking, and we were done in no time flat. Nice guy. Funny as all get out. I hope he doesn't retire beofre #2 comes around.
I didn't think it was a big deal taking my own vacation time I've racked up and earned since I've been working at this stinkin' college for 7 years. Oh well. She was so upset that rumors flew. She doesn't want any job I want here to be comprimised because of jealousy.
I hope, hope, hope you get to be a little closer to this guy, Pam. Take it slow and try to leave little hints along the way. One day, after his rebound period, you two can hook up.

I'd do the OB over the dentist anyday, in fact, I'm overdue to go to the dentist. WTG Katelyn on the weight! Your future husband has about 5 1/2 lbs on you! He went pee pee in the potty last night and this morning. Blow him a big kiss from down South (don't tell Daddy). LOL!
newmami
05-28-2008, 08:19 AM
Good morning everybody!!
Costco also sells huggies size 6, those are the ones that Dani uses.
Yay Katelyn for the weight gain!! now I feel like I have monsters because Chris is only 1 and he is 24 lb!!
Dani went pee pee in the potty again!! we haven't pushed it because she stresses about it... she was getting all freaked out, so I had to sit with her and start singing, and tell her it was OK to go pee pee... then she did and got all excited, once she was done she ran to tell daddy.
If we can pass the stress of peeing in the potty, she would be PT soon!!!
Chris had a rough night yesterday, I think he was cold, so he ended up sleeping in our bed, cuddled up against Daddy.... I am secretly jealous it wasn't me he cuddled with :(
So, have you ever had one moment when you are looking at your kids and you think "I am so proud of them" from the bottom of your heart?? I had one on Monday, and then I patted myself on the back because I know so far, all the credit of raising them is mine!!:gome:
I miss Bel.........

And way to go Dani! All this potty goodness is making me jealous. Katelyn is still just a fluke to pee in the potty. She will sit there but she doesn't do squat in the potty.
I'm sorry Chris is feeling sick and he snuggled his daddy. We have to be careful what we wish for when we want DH's more involved with the kids!
Where is Ashley?

Sorry about the ledger!!! and yes I got the check (I thought I posted before... sorry!! :shame:) but I am having a hard time cashing it...........
DH is taking a week off on July to spend with his son, and wants me to take the week off..... of course I would do, as we are planning to do family stuff, but I am not thrilled at all of having his son in my house for a week

I feel for you on the vacation thing! Morgan and I are heading to Branson this weekend and i was so excited until my sister and her husband to be said they would meet me up there and just share a room with me because they don't have any money. Grrr.... I love them both but I wanted me and Morgan time. Also ... I hate feeling like I foot the bill for there hotel room the least they could do is pay 1/3rd of it. Since I'll be out the gas money. Oh, well... there will be other trips for just Morgan and I. :) Hope SS is good that week.

Lex and I went into work at 7 and got a few things done during his docile period of the day. Yes, mil flaked again. I was so upset yesterday. But, I told P what was gong on and how I didn't want to have to choose between job and son, and how I didn't want to take advantage, and she was so appreciative. I told her that she's doing so much for me that I just wanted to meet her halfway. She said that taking advantage wasn't in my nature and that she'd continue to help me as much as she could.
Lex had a rough night again. Lots of nightmares. I hope they end soon. The poor little guy needs sleep.
