Btw, for anyone other than Bel and Sarah, lol, I had an interesting offer. My firend said that 3 positions have opened up for teaching assts at the preschool. It's half the pay, but I'd be done way earlier in the day also. I was given the chance to intern with a local counsleor over the summer, too. If Betsy says I can asst teach, I can finish school, get experience, and be down the hall from my little man. Thought I'd run the idea by ya'll.

I keep thinking, is it worth it to get the higher pay and be completely miserable, or cut the pay and be happy??

Well, the dr was very thorough. She said he has a touch of carpel tunnel, which we never even thought about! lol. She wants an MRI (finally!) and a possible lumbar puncture. Something about his 2 car accidents 7 and 12 years ago that could affect him. The MRI will tell us if those affected him at all. She says that there's a possible dystonia, but not sure what. He has a tremor/shaky tremble that's hereditary. She it's still very possible that he has a neuro-degenerative disease, but she wants to do genetic testing if we get to that point. Dh is very strong, but something's weakening him, and she's concerned. She first asked if anyone in the family has Parkinsons. That freaked me out. I am so freaked but so happy to know that someone can help. She wants him on Neurontin to help with the pains for now. He said that he wasn't concerned with randomly treating, that he wanted to know what the cause was first before he took anything, and the dr got onto him. Thank goodness! Someone else is trying to tell him what I've been telling him all along! Do what the stinkin' woman says and MAYBE you'll get relief. Sheesh. lol. I hope he takes the medicine.

Dh brought up that if it is hereditary, then Lex could get it, and we may have to think about no more kiddos (that was in passing.) I hope not. Then, I thought about not having all these years with dh that I thought I had. Not dead, but not "all there" either, kwim? THEN, I left Lex this morning at school and lost it bawling. I didn't want to do this. I didn't want to come to work, nor did I want to start jumping to conclusions about this before any test results.

Oh, and the first thing out of his mouth to me was, "Did you think she was like the LSU neurologist for Lex? You know, finding things that just aren't there?" Ohmygosh, girls, I just about lost it. A dr FINALLY takes interest, and HE starts dismissing things already! I was fuming.

Dani was too cute this morning, she is helping Chris learn how to walk... takes his hand and helps him walk :wub: and get this, she leaked a little pee this morning, so she came to me and asked me to change her (she gets nervous when she wets the clothes) I finish getting them ready and went to my room and realized a bit of pee fell on the carpet, so I went to her room and she followed me and INSISTED on getting a wipe... I got her one and followed her... she went to my room to "clean up" the little pee that leaked......:sniffle: told her not to worry and I would take care of it...

THank you girls for all your words of wisdom. I'm having to step back and do my psychology and counseling thingies that I've learned so I don't jump to conclusions and awfulize this situation.

I DID however ask the OB/GYN at my appt this morning what we should do IF it comes back positive for some sort of genietic problem, then he wants us to see a genetic counselor and possibly even test me, just to learn about everything. He was SOOO good about it today. And you know, it took more time to drive TO the appt, than it did getting in and out of htere! LOL.

Btw, I just got off the phone with GEICO on our flooded car, and they're planning on sending an adjuster by Friday to look at the car, tow it, and tell us what we get on our total loss.

man hun me and DH have been through so much of what i hear you typeing..matt i know worried about the kids having a higher probability of having MS..would that change me having them NO..its so hard to not think about the what ifs..i still do it just not as much..because we dont know what the future holds..we just have to live today for what it is TODAY!

What do they do for drainage?

They gave lex a nose spray to keep his drainage from backing up into his ears. He's getting too many infections.

Well for cys ear drainage the give me $40 drops to help get rid of the infection quicker..its really nasty when the ear drains..BLAH so i feel bad for him and want it to end quickly..the drops have already made it subside immensly.

HEY HOW ABOUT THIS..i thought of calling the zoo and seeing if they would donate 15 day passes to each of the children for their earth bags??

oh and i printed off a bunch of earth day printables form online for them to color..i am so bad at asking for things..today i have to run to scheels and see if they can donate 15 water bottles..i mean theses are million $$ businesses so you would think $45 for a school project wouldnt be a big deal right?? help the community

Morning ladies!!! how is everybody doing? I am trying to catch up here and at work

We went to the Airport to surprise my parents, but we were not able to find them :(. I didn't had the flight number, just the time they landed... anyways they called me from the hotel, so we went home. When they arrived, Dani was all shy, and Chris cried (poor thing, took me forever to calm him down), it took them like 5 min to remember abuelos and then my dad gave the kids a bath and put them in bed.... Dani woke up asking for abuelo :silly:. So this morning we went to their hotel, they kept the kids and my car, and I brought the rental to work... they are with the kids all day, at my house.... it is awesome!!!

Sarah, I hope you can get some donations for Earth day... I still think growing something is a good idea. When I went to Elementary school, we grew beans, just put a regular bean on a damp cotton, and place it on a glass jar; make sure the cotton stays wet, and in about a week the bean will sprout!!

Again I will be on and off, depending on the work load!!!

Our little ones just brought home sunflowers in plastic cups. You could go to Lowes, or somewhere similar, and get the flat of the little plants in the cloth/dirt balls. Claudia - So glad your family made it here and that the kids warmed up to them. What a fun day they will have together. How long are they here for?

Blech! - small vent- I really hate my SIL (DH's brother's wife) and not because she is preggers with a girl either (but that doesn't help). She is so freakin self-centered, she thinks everything must be about her! Truly when we told my in-laws we were pregnant, SIL had gone to the bathroom. She comes out and says "You couldn't wait until I came out of the bathroom to tell the news?" WTF, like its about her. So here is my vent...finally.

DH's cousin lives in Georgia. She comes here to visit maybe twice a year. She Cousin called to tell us she was going to be in town one night on the 16th of this month for a seminar and would like to get together, at least for dinner. We say, ok, let us know when it gets closer the details, are you going to have a car, do we need to come down there, etc. So We forgot all about it cuz we never heard back from her. Come to find out SIL and BIL had dinner with her, up in our area (they live 10 min from us) and never even called to tell us what the details of dinner was. I was so mad! I always include them in my family's holidays.

Also, a few weeks ago it was BIL's birthday. She calls my cell phone and I am at work so I can't answer and she doesn't leave a message. She calls DH's and he didn't answer so she doesn't leave a message. A few days later we find out she wanted to invite us over for cake and coffee for BIL's birthday. I guess she didn't want to invite us too badly cuz she never left a message and didn't call back. I HATE HER!

Ergh. I just went to the campus post office. Yay. I called first to make sure I could buy stamps with our account, and they said yes. I get there, and she tells me that we can't buy any postage with our accounts unless it's ready to go. (I.e. Return/reply mail for intern mentors.) My boss is out of town, and these are supposed to be mailed TOday. I don't have business reply envelopes with our account number on them and I don't have any form of a regualr envelope to do the meter stamping. I'm so stinkin' lost, and I have no idea what to do. Sorry. Mini rant. Boss gone.

The weekend was AWESOME!!! kids had a wonderful time with my parents and my sister and BIL, my sister wants to steal Dani and take her to Mexico :silly:, and both kids were just loving having family here!!
Saturday we had a small party for Chris... everything was OK but he got overwhealmed with the pictures, and he was a little tired, so the party ended early after a nice bath... he didn't wanted to dig in the cake, once he got a spoon, he decided to try the frosting, but didn't ate cake....:laugh:

Saturday also Chris decided it was time to walk, so now he is walking as much as he can... bittersweet :sniffle:
Sunday we went to Ikea and FINALLY bought a much needed couch, they delivered it this morning, so I came to work late....

Omg, I just had an amazing conversation with my Poppie. I'm in tears (happy ones!) It wa like talking tohim before Mimie passed. He told me that I could borrow any dishes for my meeting at my house next month, provided I come visit him. lol. Typical Pop. And, he told me that I did the right thing with my mom. He said that my mom has forgotten everything that ever happened, because she was so doped up on medicine the whole time. He said that there's no need for me to sit down and have a rational talk with her until things change. Right now she's like a tiget ready to pounce. Pretty much told me that he and Mimie knew what happened, and he'd tell me when the time's right. It was like Mimie answered some serious prayers. (I know it wasn't, but still.)

my dad told me something about my mom on sat that was hard to handle and very emotional, he told me as a heads up before my mom told me kinda to let me mentaly prepare..well now i know and i know my sister does not know adn my mom doesnt want to tell her because well my sister can be a very harsh person, judges very harsh. I know she eventually will tell her but it could be awhile so do i tell my sister about it as a heads up and have her jsut keep quiet till mom tells her? or do i shut my mouth? i think it would be good for my sis to have a heads up maybe the time to think about it will help her be calm and more understanding?

ugh ok since your like my only friends i need to spill what it is maybe you can give me some better advice.

here is what happened to her;

DUI 4 years ago never went to renew her liscense (driving susp for 4 years) :doh:
2 weeks ago got pulled over and in trouble for driving while suspended (she continues to drive)
this weekend got in an accident thus her 2nd driving while suspended :(

who knows what the price is for the 2nd time :( for the first one she gets 4 days in jail
:( im just sad for her..she is a great person..does drink to much which this has finally made her acknowledge..soemthing has to change..she is making stuid choices..she also needs to open up and talk to us, she said she never told anyone beacuse she was ashamed and embarrased..just drove suspended because she couldnt tell us what happened..

Ugh it was so hard, she has faught with alchohol for years..she said she feels awful for putting our family through this for so long and wishes she could have told us and just taken the steps to get her liscense back but was to ashamed to tall anyone :( now friday she goes in for the first 4 days..im just so sad..i know my sister will be so harsh about it..i just dont want my sister to not know and i dont want her to be caught offguard.. its just a sad situation for everyone..i feel so bad for my mom but hope this is a turning point for her and she can start to make changes and get better :(

ITA! Hope your sister has a big heart when she does find out and gives your Mom the support she needs.

I hope your Mom gets this all straightened out. If she doesn't take care of it, driving on it and getting stopped or in an accident will compound the problem. Then its considerred a habitual offender. I know the ex is going through this and his was taken for 5 years for driving while suspended.

I had to leave early to take Chris to the Pedi. He is doing well, healthy and growing as expected... he is 24lb 6oz and 29 3/4 height (both on the 75%), and reaching all his milestones!!! :yeehaw: He got 2 shots and he cried HORRIBLE!!! thank God DH was able to be there, he held her while I was comforting Dani because she freaked out to hear him crying :crying:

Earth day, we are not doing anything special... does it count that I have to put more soil on my plants???:rolly: the building administration here at work had some goodies and information on how to be green.... Morning ladies..

Earth Day started off wonderful, me and cy dropped off his classroom fun stuff this morning. For each child i had a tomato plant, reusable grocery bag inside was a waterbottle, apple, pencil, bracelet, and printouts for them to color and do games on for earth day. And each child got an Earth Day cookie that said "earth day 2008" :)

Talked to my sister last night, she wasnt surprised about the news about my mom she said it wasnt that unexpected. We talked for quite some time and she was kinda hurt that no one told her (mom or dad) they always do that. So i felt bad when she said they never tell me anything they always tell you and you tell me or they keep things from me noone talks to me. I said "well you scare them" :) " and me at times " :) I just told her that im more easy going and well accpeting that makes me easier to talk to and mom was worried abotu her being stressed during her pregnancy. She said this stuff doesnt stress me out its not surprising to me. SO overall i think the conv went well, i guess. I hope my mom talks to her soon so she hears it from the horses mouth. But i know my mom worried about my sis being so harsh and disowning her. oh well..i hope things change for the better adn this is the push my mom needs to make some changes..

At Thanksgiving I got the one she did with the Turkey and loved it!! This time I got the one with the M on it in the pink. Too cute I can't wait to get it.

The Mini vacation was GREAT!!! I took Morgan to see the horses and she had a blast. She road her first ride at the park and had a blast.

How am I feeling...so so... the medications is working well but I want a new job its not bad here I just need a change and Rod called me on Thursday and wants "back into my life" I said I would talk on the phone but I really didn't want to date him. I feel so mean for saying that but he hurt me to bad and I am not going to let him do it again. I am a better person for having known him I really do like him but I have to protect me.

I bought another shirt from Heather... I just love her stuff! and I bought a wipe holder for a friend of mine who is having a baby. It was 8.50 with shipping and I couldn't afford to spend much on her so that was GREAT. Its nice and hand made and didn't put me in the poor house.

Yep... they are 25 when you add in shipping. I got Morgan one in 2 T hoping she will be able to wear it a while. Right now she is in 18 months.

As far as Rod goes... well.. I feel for him and he made me feel that he felt the same way about. He talked about kids together and then out of no where he stopped calling and comming by. A month later he calls and says he lost my number. Eye roll I don't buy it he could have emailed me. But he was nice for a while. And I am back to my I really don't need a man stage. I am OK with the way things are. I still pray God brings me some one but I don't feel so "I HAVE to HAVE a guy" LOL

So I am going to say something REALLY BAD HERE..... whenever I see pictures of the little ones in here doing stuff with their daddy, I feel so bad and sad that my DH does not have that kind of interaction with my children.... sometimes I feel that they deserve a better daddy who wants to spend time with them.... I know DH has his "reasons" and I stopped questioning them because I just don't get it, but it still hurts me. :crying:

This last weekend.... my parents and my sister & BIL were here... we were playing with the kids, took them out on the Radio flyer (Abuelo pulled, we just walked and talked) and then we went out to the back yard to enjoy the afternoon, let Chris walk in the grass, and Dani was racing with my sister.... what was DH doing?? INSIDE BROWSING THE INTERNET!!!! :pace:

I have so much anger, resentment and frustration inside it is not even funny... and then he wonders why I cannot stand being close to him???? is this time to go find me a therapist??????? :boohoo:

I guess I should do some "guy about a thing" search..... I tried 2 times but the experience was bad... the first one wanted to bring DH a little too soon (at least in my eyes) and the second one was too condescending (but that was for the PPD, so what I needed was the medication)
