im really scared of letting him because when he had his accoutn he was over and off so often and the overdrafts were nuts..:( i just feel like if i let him we could be really hurt in no time..i can keep us barely afloat but it isnt fair being the only one in charge of the bils and money because than when there is an issue its ME who looks like the bad guy pointing out where money is being flushed away..ugh :( im waiting up for him to come home so i can tell him i dont want to do bills anymore...maybe we can do them together

Sarah - Do you keep him advised of what is actually left in the bank to spend? Like after the bills and stuff are paid on Fridays (after the paycheck hits the bank) I always go "ok after groceries we have $______ left to spend so we can't go wild" and then during the week I remind him "we are down to $___ in the bank" This makes DH aware of what he can and cannot spend. Hope it helps!

Sarah, my DH is the one in charge of the bills and the money. I like it because he is a spender, so it keeps him aware of things. We had more than enough arguments about money, and now he does not spend anything in extras unless he consults and I approve first... I hate to do it that way, but the spending in crap had to stop (went to TRU for Easter toys, I told DH I would spend around $30... we ended up paying $190 because he found a lego that he wanted... I spent $25 in the kids:rant:)
I have access to Quicken and the checking account, so I keep tracks of things as well

Hey Claudia! Tara is doing great and she's starting to show now. She wears scrubs to work so she's still not obvious with baggy clothes on, but if she lifts up her shirt it's definitely there! She's got a very firm knot you can feel but we haven't been able to feel movement yet. She's 21 wks so we expect it anytime. At the u/s the tech said the placenta is over the baby so it's cushioning the kicks and that's why she can't feel it. It was nice to have an explanation so we didn't get worried. I felt movement with Zack at 17 wks. Thanks for checking on us!!!

Zack is still battling a little bit of cough and a little fever, but we have it under control with ibuprofen and benadryl. He just loves going to daycare and I think he was so relieved to be back at school with his little friends. He is just talking up a storm now and we can't get him to be quite...LOL!!! We went and practically spent all day. Lex was wonderful. We're being referred back to a neurlogist now. She said that his vit d was so low that he may have to do 3 cycles of the humongo doses, and then he'll be on a vit d and calcium supplement the rest of his life. As for the pain, she thinks its muscular or neurological. The nail in the foot kind of told her all of that. Yay. Ugh. So, we call for a referral Monday. That's what I know.

the $$ issue lingered over our heads for the whole weekend just nothing but tension..and finally sunday something clicked and he got nasty..well for starters he cut up all his debit cards to the account..i was like ok come on your gonna do that rather than sit down and talk to me about this..but i dont even know how it went but sun he ended up gettin on cy for something and i told him to lay off..cy always get the **** end of the stick when matt is pissed at me..so matt says "im leaving" and goes upstairs..than on his way upstairs he says "i cant even stomach you" :( than he comes down to fold his clothes and is going on and on so i say "matt i wont do this in front of the kids we can take it to the garage if you want" he says "no im done" so i just shut my mouth than he says amonst the other stuff he is rambeling on "your a piece of crap"
:( i was just so hurt he said it right in fron of the kids..i just walked out and went to my parents house..i left the kids with him..i sat at my parents house and cried and cried and cried..my dad was irrate it took me demanding he NOT go over there and start something to keep him from going to talk to matt..well probuly not talk....not with the kids there..i wasnt going to allow a confrontation withthe kids there..

so i talked to them for awhile and my mom offered to watch the kids while me and matt go sit and talk and figure out what we were going to do..stay together or split up..so i went back home and asked him if he wanted to go sit alone and try figure this out away from the kids..he faught me on it so i said fine than were done..well than he said FINE we can go talk about it and added there will be lawyers invovled...so he left and i met him down by the park..we talked in the car about $$ and stuff pretty much just disagreed and faught about it..when i brought up his relationship with cy (there isnt one) he got very upset and left..so i went back home..told my mom i didnt see things gettin better or changeing..i took the kids to the park and matt called asked if he could meet us because he needed to apologize..i said that was fine he could come to the park and talk to me..he came there sat with us and apologized to me for what he said and how he acted..we talked civily about things..and i explained that the only thing i had issues with was the food spending that all..he said he was frustrated because when i brought up the spending on food and tryingto save money i said iw anted to buy lucea her b-day present $150 and he thought it was stupid to be spending when im complaining about saving..i told him i really wanted that for herand i wasnt going ot feel bad about spending $$ on my kids when we have a $1000 gun and a $1000 TV ya know..maybe i should have brought the present up at a differnt time than when i was *****ing to him about money..but i didnt..so were talking and still together but you guys i cant get him saying im a piece of crap out of my mind :( it just hurts so bad..never in 30 years of my parents being married has my dad ever said that to my mom..im so hurt..i cant forget it.. :( im just wanting to make this work and things to be all great but it just sticks in my mind..hearing my husband say he couldnt stomach me and i was a piece of crap..:(

Sorry about the whole situation, at least he apologized.... but I am with you on what he said.....

I had something similar happen with DH, we were eating, Chris came up and bit him BAD (he only does this to DH), so Dh gets all upset and TO ME it looked like he was going to kick Chris, so I told him "I am sorry about the bite, but could you please not treat Chris like a dog?"... he got up FUMING and got out of the house, and he said "screw you"....... it hit me like you have no idea... I didn't talk to him the rest of the night and I was super hurt.... we talked the next day and he didn't remembered what he said to me, he was so upset he just wanted to go out and cool down... I know we all humans say things we don't mean, but once those words are out, they are daggers.... so I understand why you are so hurt about what he said.....
My best advise would be to talk to Matt and tell him how those comments made you feel... maybe in front of the threapist... he needs to understand that he hurt you, and that the hurt is going to be hanging around for a while

I forgot to tell you...Sunday I took DD to dinner as the boys went to the concert. So this drunk lady sits in the booth behind us (mind you we are in a family restaurant...Buca Di Beppo) and I tickle Katleyns neck and she screams (really high pitched). I had an argument with the stupid Account manager (S) because he gave customer the WRONG information, and then the customer came back to me asking why I gave them different information... so I got defensive and told him (and the customer) that I gave them the CORRECT information... my other Account Manager (M) was here and heard the conversation, then he came back to me and told me it was pointless of S to argue, and that he was wrong treating me like I am an idiot (I love working with M as well!!!) :gome:

DH and I had a very nice afternoon yesterday, we talked a lot about lots of things, specially money, and he is willing to be a little less of a spender, which makes me very happy!!

I will be on an off, depending on the work load.....

Im not a big iceberg fan but i have a spinach salad today with a hard boiled egg and a turkey salami sandwich..i was thrilled to find out i could eat 1/2 a bag of spinich and its only 30 calories :lol: now if i could cut back on the salad dressing i love to drench my salds so i bought low fat :( blah..

i really shoudl walk but i am useing it being windy as my excuse not to..

we are havign dirt brought inthis weekend to lever our yard and plant grass on the other side of our yard and i think i am going to keep a small aprt of the yard as a garden :) doesnt that sound fun for the kids..
