Out of hundreds of aplicants I was picked to be one of 7 to be interviewed for a new job then after them meeting me I was picke to be one of the last 3 they just called and told me I didn't get the job! I am heart broken and have been fighting the Valentines day blues and now I am giving in to a big sob fest and pitty party because I didn't get the job. I feel so worthless!

BTW, I think you can put daycare on the taxes only if you didn't take pre-tax money. There is a box for it and your daycare lady has to report what you paid her too.

Pam, is there anyway you can get a good used one from ebay or craigslist and pay them thru paypal on a credit card? I'm just asking because Dell has such a high markup and you can get an awesome one on ebay for around $350-$400 where it will be close to $800-$1000 with Dell.

So I went to pickup Zack from daycare yesterday and there was a warning on the door that some of the kids came down with the Hand/Foot/Mouth disease. Yikes! I guess it's a fever and blisters on hands/mouth. We have no signs so far but I'm hoping it doesn't show up. It takes 2-4 days to show up. I had to take home all his bedding and wash it in hot water and the daycare washed everything in the Toddler room.

Depending on what you are going to use the computer for I would try to get 1gig of memory or more. The 512mb is ok but some programs are calling for more now days. I only say this because we are running into this at work we have 512 well really two 256 chips and I have to order a gig to put in them to run our library catalog. I would also not want vista unless you have worked with it in the past. It can run very slow if you don't know how to turn off some of the features.

I have worked on some grants in the past and I have to agree the work is not what I would call fun for me at least. I put in for a technology grant for leap pads in our library. We got it and all that is over now thank goodness, it was a lot of work!

Tell me if I am mean (be honest you won't hurt my feelings). One of my goals for the years was to set some boundries with my parents and Grants mom so that I feel like I am living my life no theirs. You all also know that even though EX monster -in-law and I don't get along because of how mean she is to me I have allowed her to come over every other week on Tuesday to see Morgan for 2 hours while supervised in my home. Well... she called on Tuesday are 1 and told me she had been at the hospital for 24 hours doing a sleep study and that she felt tired and sick. She asked if we could reschedule for Wed at 4:30. As much as I wanted to say no just to be mean I didn't because I understand things come up. Wed. 4:30 I book a dog to groom thats pretty hard because she has really long hair and wont stand still but know that its ok because I will have some help with Morgan. 4:30 rolls around no EX-Monster...5:00 still no Monster finally by 5:30 she calls me and tells me she was at the pound getting a new dog and just didn't make it back in time. I was pissed! 1 she could have called me to let me know she was going to get a dog and wouldn't make it. She has all 3 of my numbers! 2 what grandma in her right mind pick a dog over her every other week visit with her grandchild! I am a nice person but when you make me lie to my DD and I watch her stand at the door looking for her Nana and then make me tell her Nana's not coming the nice girl goes away. You hurt my child and its Molly get the mop because I am going to clean house! Any way I didn't yell at her or say any thing mean to her. I just said you know you didn't have to see Morgan watch for you at the front door and I won't lie to her again and tell her you are coming because your not dependable. She said "I am so so sorry I should have call." I said yes you should have. She said "so.. can I come tomorrow?" I said No, I am sorry Morgan and I are booked until your regularly scheduled visit Tuesday the 19th we will see you then at 4:30 if you show. Then I hung up. OK we really are not booked but I was so mad and I gave her a chance to change her appointment once and she should have called and to me picking a dog over your grandkid!!! The lady is a loon!

Go ahead tell me if I should call her and let her come tonight.

DON'T CALL HER PAM!!! you did the right thing. Morgan was hurt because Grandma didn't showed up as promised, you are only protecting Morgan for being hurt, and that is the right thing to do.

She should have been more thoughtful about it, you already agreed to change the date and she didn't honored it.... she does not deserve a second chance this week, because she may find another thing to keep her distracted and leave Miss Morgan waiting, and Morgan does not deserve it.

Monster had her chance and she blew it.... she will get the next chance when it is convenient FOR YOU!!!

OK so I went and looked...well... its not the same kind of eating disorder I have. Its hard for any one with an ED but people look at you strange when you say I have an ED yet your still 200 pounds! I truly feel as if I have and ED because I obsess over food eating and not eating it. I starve myself for long peirods of time and my other confession... I abuse fiber pills and Laxitives So why the heck am I still 200 + and had my body. I have tried the make myself puke thing and well it doesn't work for me I am pretty sure I have no gag reflex! Sigh... I shouldn't have gone lurking! I know to stay here!

Pam, another piece of advise.... if you abuse laxatives and fibers, your intestines get lazy and do not work on their own (meaning no poo), so please be careful!

I also tend to overeat for emotional reasons, right now with nothing to do at work, plus the UGHHH environment here, make me want to stuff my face with chocolate.
But on the weekends, I am ok with not eating sweets.......

Well DH had his 2nd interview this morning which wasn't really a 2nd interview. Just a meeting with the Project Manager. When he asked one of the guys about the pay scale. He said they would go over that at the 2nd interview...:confused:. Anyway, they do a complete background check and reference check and all so that will take some time and they said it looked good but that they would call him next week. I was hoping he could start on Monday.

Tyler's 15th birthday is Sunday. I just know he is going to want to take his driver's permit test soon. I'm not ready to have two on the road!:hissy:

First off, glad to say that Zack has had no signs of the hand/foot/mouth disease at daycare. He is having some drainage from his ears though and I'm worried about it with his recent tube surgery, so I'm going to call the doc today.

Work is getting really nuts now. They assigned me to a huge project, so I don't know how much I'm going to be able to be on or MSN anymore. I'll try to logon when I can, but that's usually at night when no ones on.

In his defence he has had the flu this week his mom had to drive down to take him to the ER and is staying with him all week until he feels better. Because I am a commited, caring person. I love working with other people and helping them during difficults time. I am a good listener, and people feel at ease when they talk to me, I am also good at calming people down when they are upset.
My experience dealing with [the part time job] taught me a lot about human relationships, and I am sure I can make a difference here

Claudia- I get that at work sometimes too. There is one lady here who knows nothing about computers and tries to tell stuff all the time. I get so mad! She will tell me something and then say well you should know you are the computer expert. When all along she has no idea.

Got him down for a nap. Took 20 minutes of cio. We co-sleep when he's sick, but he's not wanting that today. So I had to let him go and then do the check in evey couple of minutes. That's so hard.
