Hellow :) Back from Chuck-E-Cheese. It started off well, but then like 3 big daycare facilities brought in a bunch of older kiddos and it got really out of control. So the Trio and I left at Noon and went to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch (our friends stayed at CEC) and now we are home, and they are napping :)

My in laws live in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, they left 12 grankids and 4 sons on the west coast to move back there. Guess they were done with family. We have been back once with KR and they came here once because MIL's brother died and he lives hour and a half from here.

If we go there, we have to fly forever with two kids and then drive three hours after we arrive.

I'm not pg or anything, but I was wondering, the sticks say wait three minutes or something like that, did it ever take longer for any of you guys then like 30-45 seconds? I got two lines right away, just wondering what the delay would be.

We'll leave here at 10:30am, get to McD's at 10:45 and they can play for 45 minutes and then we'll eat lunch. I LOVE this McD's. It's totally fenced in with no doors, etc., so I can kick back and read while they play :) It rocks.

OMG. Chuck-E-Cheese yesterday. I forgot to tell you guys. I LOST ELLA. Well, not really...she ran away. I told her it was time to go, I turned around to exchange my eyeglasses for my sunglasses and she ran off. And the place was packed. I looked on my own (with Haley & Ro) for 10 minutes and then had to ask for help from the staff. As I was describing what she looked like, I saw her in the tunnel up above. So I had to wait down by the slide for her to come down. Thankfully there is no way she could have escaped without me b/c of their security protocal, but man....my heart was racing.

Now McD's today was great. We were there all by ourselves for most of the time. A little 19 month old came in (and man, Ronin was huge compared to him, and Ro's a little dude) and the trio swamped him. He was completely overwhelmed (only child, not around other kids much his mama said) so they left after like 5 minutes. I felt bad, but man, what can I do if I have more kids than someone else??

weekend went good but busy..lucea was sick with a stomach bug on friday and sat..cys party on sunday..matt hasnt been feeling all that well..i htink he has luceas bug but it really wears him down ya know..i am frickin tired from watching two 8 years olds at a pool and lucea..crap how do parents do this with more than 2 kids ;) thats it..had a long talk with my bosses assistant just now she is going part time in June asked me if i wanted to step it up and be her assistant so it could work out fo rher..i said sure..so hopefully that goes well coem summer..its hard cause i really want a job in my HS field but they are so good to me here and i just amto much in my comfort zone so ugh i hate change.

well not a new job..the current job i have my boss's assistant is going part time in June and needs me to step up and cover for her on top of what i do..if i get to busy i can hire myself a receptionist..but we will see..

i just got my bachelors in HS and really would like a full time job in that area but now with this happening an my current job i know it will be harder to leave cauase i hate change..and im comfortable where i am at..

so i talked to my family doc and she recommended a neuro in town that she said was great..so i called and we need a referall to get DH in to see him..well waht the hell do we go to DH current neuro and say we want a referall???? seems odd huh..were not sure we trust you and your not really the best in town so give us a referall??? but who else could give us one ya know..and they are competing hospitals so lordy..

hmmmmm but this new neruo is the best i have heard it from many i want DH to have the best care..

well DH doesnt have a PCP he never set one up..so its just pretty much his neuro he deals with and the oncology dept..they have been hounding him to set one up but he never does it..i wanted him to set one up at my docs office but its not affiliated with his..so UGH JENNY its a mess..

i never wanted him to go to the hospital he went to but it was the only place a walk in was open when he went in for his first relapse...i wanted him at our hospital where i feel the care is better...

I tend to only go when it's not very crowded, we went in Long Beach and they had no toddler section and it was so busy I wanted to get out of there. I'd have been terrified if I couldn't find Ella too. I have some non-chalant friends/very trusting friends that just let there little ones run too and it's just not something I could do.

I went to have dinner with DH and we talk.... it was ok but he got defensive couple of times, so at some point I did say "well maybe we should not be together if that is how you feel" (he likes to play the "I am sorry I am the cause of all bad things in your life" :rolleyes:) and I think that left him thinking.....
Anyways, he feels the main reason why he doesn't feel part of the family is because of LANGUAGE!! he is mostly upset/sad, whatever that I speak Spanish to the kids and Danielle mostly speaks Spanish, so he doesn't understand what she is saying and that frustrates him... I told him MAYBE he could talk more to them, so they get used to the English, but he said he just feels uncomfortable talking to people who cannot hold a conversation... so I asked for a solution but he didn't had one... so my task today is to find information on how BENEFICIAL it is for little ones to hear 2 languages since day 1 (so he can shove it). We are going to work on that and to the Couple therapy, and see how that goes...... he thinks everything is fine and dandy now, I am keeping my guard up, because I will believe it when I see it.......

How can any one think that its not GREAT for kids to hear and learn more than one language? What if some thing were to happen to you and your DH (God forbid) and they had to go live with your parents but couldn't speak spanish! Ugh!

Lynn, Maxwell House makes a "light" coffee that is right in the middle between decaf and regular. We were mixing that with the full stuff to get Tara weaned off the caffeine and now she is on full decaf.

Claudia, what if you really try to only speak English just in the evenings from the time he's home from work until bedtime? That way you can still speak Spanish when he's not around and on weekends and he can be a part of the routine also on a daily basis. Good job on the talk and stick to your guns on the counseling.

Claudia, the other thing to is if he wants to be a part of the kids life he has to work with them to. How fun would it be for Dani to teach him a new word in Spanish every week? That could be some of his and her quality time together and it would be fun for them both. You could make a flash card or draw some pictures and just let him go off with her alone and do that. :) He needs to help get creative on how to fix these things too.

Claudia could he read books to them, like 20mins of story time, only him and them? in english of course...or activities so he doesnt have to make an effort (YK like going out, it´s gonna stress him more than anything) but he can make a bond with them without doing things he consider silly KWIM? He doesnt do much stuff alone with his son either?

Ugh! I am trying to think of the medication morgan takes! I think it starts with a Z for her alergies but I used to have to pay 50 bucks a month for it and as of this week its going over the counter and it will be like 20 bucks for the month! I can't wait but poor kid has been without it for 2 weeks and her alergies are geting bad. :(

I hear ya. Tara's friends called and invited us to a cabin they are renting in Northern Georgia for the weekend and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Great views and really modern.
