Have you seen Mate in Manhattan?? on Lifetime TV??

The life coach said that the best place to meet good men is in the coffee shop, the doughnuts place on the street. the park and on the banking area of your town, lol

He said that in the bookstore men go to chill and who would like to be disturbed when you are reading your favorite book or magazine.

I met lots of guys in the coffee shop. I used to go there after class and sit sipping a cappuccino and read my "law" books, that turned guys on

How's this for a sick kid? Morgan is running a fever of 100 - 102 but she keeps wanting to dance around and is singing this "baby baby" line from a commercial. We can't figure out what's wrong with her. Tylenol brings the fever down for a while. At least she is not crying and clingy. I hope you all have a good weekend. Isn't it amazing how kids can already show their emotions?? I love it!! bad for throwing a sippy though.......
You cannot force a child to like someone, right Pam??? Danielle didn't cared for StepMIL... but I have to say she is creepy looking

I came to the realization that right now, Dani loves my mom more than she loves me or DH... cute though, I love how well they get along, considering they do not see each other so often

I didn't brought lunch either, my plan is to go to the Church here downtown (if it is open) and light a candle for Ethan.... I have not been in church since I moved here, so I am emotional about it....
And I told my office DH to please put Ethan and Allison's family on her prayer list... he did when DH & I were in a bad spot

I am secretly hoping it rains today, it seems appropriate whenever there is a funeral.... in my childish mind, it is Heaven crying for the loss of a person..... I know, I am weird

Anyways, I just had an apple with PB for breakfast!!! YUMMM

UGGGHH! Why are latin people so freaking bad with time???

He just cancelled my review AGAIN!! 3rd time!!

I am so excited for or BG meet up too. DH and SD are coming with us.

Ladies I am so mad, depressed and anxious, I backed up my precious car into somebody elses and made a HUGE cut on my back bumper. This was against a Nissan Xterra which didn't get a freaking scratch, My insurance will cover but my copay is 1K, stupid Clark Howard who recommended that amount in order to get a better rate on the premium, uggghh!!

DH said to just put a bumper sticker on it because it will be aroun 2K to replace my bumper :( He was mad at me, even more mad because I over reacted to a phone convo we had and I was mad at him and didn't answer his phone calls in 2 days

He got home last night and we talked and this morning when I came to work, I saw an email he sent me yesterday and it was beautiful. Read:

I am sorry that I am tired and cranky lately.

Rather than understanding, you jump to conclusions when I cant talk.

So I guess I am just an a**. 70 or more hours a week are tiring. But up until this incident, I don't think that I did anything that deserves this response.

Rather than telling you to go to Florida with Sophie, I offered to drive you before you mentioned anything about going to Bush Gardens.

I cried!! I think he has never sent me something more than 2 words, lol

any big weekend plans ladies??

how the review goes well

Thanks girl. I am sitting here waiting!!

This weekend SD has a "date" with my friend's son not the sitters because he totally stood her up last weekend and told her that he is not into girls yet and to check in next year, lol

So SD put her eyes on my other friend's son, he is such a ham, so cute and not shy at all, so he said: I'll go to the movies, she is inviting so it is free for me  and he invited her to his b-day part-ee

I wanna laugh so hard because the evil always says how much she hates "mexicans" (meaning all latin people  idiot) and the 2 boys her DD has a crush on are Latins and this new one is Mexican, lol

We are taking them to the movies, everyone around is going to, just to "check their date out" I really expect Aaron to be a gentelman with her.

DH said that all of this thing of boys is new to her and we'll play the game along with her (she is being nice to me because she wants to hang out with our friends) but if we see her getting out of control, then DH will take control of the situation.

I am really excited, deep, way deep inside I still love my SD, lol. I don't like her a whole lot but I sure love her way inside me.

Its funny that you say that! I once said to my mom "my teen age years were hard on you I was so boy crazy. I am sorry about that." She said..."well...I always loved you but there were times I sure didn't like you. I am just glad you grew out of it." LOL

MSN weather says... for tampa

Saturday
Jan 19 PM Rain
Hi: 57° Lo: 45°
Rain. High 57F and low 45F.
70%

I guess w'll get wet?? LOL!!!

We may sit some where for a while? It is fine with me.

Well ladies I am back from my review. I don't have good news, it was a lame review. Right out, like a smack the boss said: WE ARE NOT HERE TO TALK ABOUT A RAISE. This is only a review of your performance. Well on a scale f 1 to 4 for 1 being outstanding and 4 sh needs to get the F out of here, I got most 2's and 3' some 4's here and there but on nothing major

No raise, no promotion and he said that if I wasn't happy about it that the doors were opened for me to leave but he would rather not see me do that. He said I can't get a promotion or a raise because I don't have a degree and the execs in Chile rate the raises according to your level of education. Big surprise, huh?? I should have know it better since I come from a country similar to it, where you get the job if you are white and if you come from a private company or if your last name has the DEL or DE (of) in it. (shouldn't say that since my maiden name is Del Aguila :? )

I don't know what to do. He wants me to be more orginized and to make desicions on my own  what does it mean? He is the boss, shouldn't I consult with him first.

I really don't know what to do I need the job, I was planning on working PT so I could spend more time with DD but I pay my brither's college tuition and he now wants/has to change colleges because his is screwed up

Tell me ladies, what do I do??

There is such a thing as the cost of living. Prices of everything goes up and people's income should go up as well. That is not right what he did and said. Maybe the amount of raise is based on your degree, but to not give one at all? Not right!

I'd be looking for something else.

The stupid things is that THIS company sells a net worth of 200 MILLIONS PER MONTH!!, yes millions per month and the approval for raises come from Chile and according to the cost of living to the eyes of CHILE. How stupid is that??

And that is not against the law because the company is based in Chile, so they decide wherther to pay moreor actually less  I am so upset. very much so

The desicion of the raise doesn't come from him, I know I would get it but he can't do anything else but suggest a raise for me. He said he will see what he can do about it but the president of the company in chile decides if that is OK or not.

Ok well if this was a 6 month review and not your annual review, then maybe I can see no raise at this time...but in 6 more months there better be something there!

Also, if its only been six months that you have been there and you look around, I wouldn't even put them on your resume. If someone questions the gap in work time...you tried being a SAHM. Thats all they have to know!

Jenny

Oh, it's only been 6 months? Normally raises come at 1 year (at least in my experience) but I've usually had reviews at 3 months for the end of the probation period. I'd suck it up and try to get more 1's and less 4's by that 1 year mark.

Ohh sorry, I guess I didn't explain well. He said, no raises for my position, period. That's all I can get because I don't have a degree :?

On a separate boss note...my boss just fired his 5th secretary since I left there. I know thats confusing, let me explain.

I worked for an attorney who has a private practice but is also the City attorney for a couple municipalities in this area. Anyway I worked in his private practice for him for 15 years. At one of the cities where he is attorney, he had a Paralegal there who was an employee of the City. She retired. I told him that since I would still get to work for him, I would like to apply for that job at the City and he let me. So I have been here going on my 4th year. I still work for him (so he is still my boss) but I am an employee of the municipality with all their benefits.

So in the 4 years that I have been gone from his private practice he has gone through 5 secretarys.

SO....

I'm kinda pissed at my mom. She lives 90 miles south, so not too far away. But she rarely, like maybe once every 4 months, drives up to see the trio. She knows how hard it is on me to drive down there, and I just can't do it, her house isn't baby-proofed, etc... and she knows (at least I think she knows) how badly my dh and I need a date night. But yet she never offers to come up and watch the kids so we can go out. BUT...she watches my sister's 2 daughters ALL THE FRIGGING TIME! Sure, they live 5 minutes away, but man....she has 3 other grandchildren, and a daughter who could use some help. I haven't talked to her in 2 days (that's like a record for us) and I'm afraid to call her b/c I might blow up on her.

I think I need to talk to my sister. Maybe she can say something to my mom? I don't know.

LMAO!!!!!

We are having a great weekend. First off, Tara got a new car 2008 Nissan Altima. The thing is pimped. You talk to it and it will call someone, operate your gps, make your coffee, etc. It has a rear view camera so she can see the neighborhood kids toys she is always running over LOL!!! It's black with tan leather, sunroof and spoiler. I'm jealous. (oh yea, she said "don't worry, we'll get you a new minivan soon") Thanks.......

We are going to a 2 yr old's bday party tomorrow, so that should be fun.

My dream job btw would be to buy property, fix it up and design it and then flip it.

Oh, and I passed gas, but I brought a Stick Up with me......

I want a new car too. I told DH I would trade my mercedes for a 2008 Camry  I drove that thing and it is AWESOME, it actually feels like driving the mercedes but cheaper, lol.

It is only had the control panel that tells you WTF is wrong with the car, that would be super!!

This weekend it's been pretty fun!! SD came on Friday and she was in the best moods of all even tho AF was visiting her, lol. Well AF is visiting this household

The date went wonderful, the kids had some much fun we will repeat it. We went to teh movies, then to eat, then to US Play and the skating, we came home at 11pm and were POOPED. I slept until 12noon  but I am glad she had fun.

We went to drop her off and the evil wasn't home, she is dating again, without even getting a divorce  so the evil called this morning after killing one of her friends, like she usually does when she is dating someone new. SO she told DH that her friend had neck surgery and she spent the night taking care of "her", DH told her whatever, where is SD, she said: Home by herself. DH was fummed because SD apparently spent the night home alone  what a f'ing biotch!

SD is home now, she was playing with DD but Sophie got grumpy and I put her for a nap, we are waiting for her to wake up and go grocery shopping.

Stacy - Yay for the new car (well, ok, yay Tara!) But you'll get your new minivan too one day! ((snicker))

Cecelia - Glad the date went well!
