Last night I was on edge because Her I was eating a salad with no dressing and after she had ate her veggies and dinner she got to have a kit kat her grandma sent her. Ugh! It was so hard not to eat some of it myself! When it was time to wash her hands I wanted to lick them clean!

Aww poor Morgan. You can have a low-cal, low-fat dressing by using Vinegar and equal or splenda. It makes it a sweet and sour dressing.

Good idea.

Pam, I do the same thing. I gave will a Vanilla Wafer and when a chunk fell out of his mouth I all most ate it! NO! VIVA LA RESISTANCE!

01-04-2008, 12:23 PM
I'm the same way. And Lex is in the feeding stage, so I will sometimes eat what he gives me.

Oh girls. It was bad. The house had 2x4 s as baseboards. Old and unfinished. The hot water heater was out where Lex could have a hayday. The stairs were old and rickety. The kitchen was soooo small, I could barely fit in it. Oh, and there were no doors. And, the camera died as I tried to take the first pic...

newmami
01-04-2008, 12:33 PM
well no wonder why the house was cheaper, huh?? I am sorry Ashley, I know how frustrating it is to house hunt

I am eating all the chocolate we have at home, so the temptation is not there anymore

Hey Jenny!!! glad you had fun and that Ella got ready for her nap... enjoy the sleepy time

lexsmama
01-04-2008, 12:35 PM

OK Do you think I am crazy????
My favorite thing to do at work is to put my food in the microwave and try to beat the clock. Like today I put my peas in the microwave and hit start took off running down the hall to my desk grabed the water bottel off my desk ran out into the main halway where the water fountan in refilled my bot with water ran with the bott. up to the bath room and washed my hands and made it back to the break room before the buzer went off on the microwave. Shew... my little 2 minute race ever day. LOL Sh... don't tell any one but I look at every ones tags as I drive to see if they are out of date. I think that must might make me crazy!

I am for real! I ate them morning noon and night for about 2 weeks.

The other one that scared me was diabetes, because I had GD.... I am going to start measuring my sugar again.

2. I got even with DH  . He said something that I have "a better disposition when my parents are here", and I told him it was because I actually have HELP with the kids... his answer?? "I help"..... cricket, cricket.....

My dad is leaving tomorrow and I am sad. I think he is sad too!! my kids are so attached to them it is not even funny (Dani calls for Abuelo) when she wakes up from her nap. Good thing they will come back in April

newmami

Jenny, what exactly was the drum's circle?? just like a party or something???
I swear you are also one of the coolest moms ever!! always finding all this things to do

So I had an epiphany last weekend as I was talking to my mom. DH is stuck in his life and has no long term (or short term for that matter) plans, he just lets life hit him and then he reacts... which is so not like me (I am a planner, and a worrier). So I am done with his ways and letting him suck me into this mode, so I am making my plans of what I want to do and for the future (specially for my kids) and do them, wether he likes it or not. I am done being the person I turned into after I got married... if he doesn't have plans, I do!!!

well it wasnt a fight actually, i just had to see his poo face all day long.
he just came and we went together to the bank, he didnt speak me a single word  neither did I.
Im tired of him being so selfish he wont understand he has kids and he can only do what he wants too, sometimes we dont do only what we want to, we should leave our comfy life and try to spend some quality family time, yk?
I love him to death, Im just tired of him.

Oi Jenny, can you send Ronin to my house?? My mom can take care of him!!!. If I could, I would leave to tampa on Friday and babysit.

So for those of you who have been married more than 6 years.... did you got the 7 year itch??? My mom mentioned it yesterday, so I am like hmmm...... there is a thought.....

Our marriage conselor and MIL told us about this  I think we had a pre 7 year itch last year, if you want it to work, it will. But a marriage is a 2 people job.

If he is reluctant to work out with you then he is the one with the issue. ARRGG I wish I could kick Steve on the butt!!

Oh, so from reading the posts the 7 year itch means you cheat or want to cheat? No, never got that urge and neither has dh. We've pretty much both said that IF it ever got to that point, we'd seperate before we'd sleep with someone else. Not sleep with someone and then seperate.

yes!! that is the same thing I thought

Bel, I am sorry that Oscar is being selfish... I realized that for most men, when they become parents, they think life goes on as it did before kids, and they are still their selfish selves

No I don't feel like cheating, Lord knows I already have enough problems with one wanting sex 24/7  .... my thing is that we are growing apart and we are very very different on basic things... I am willing to accomodate, but he is not, and now I am tired of it... for me it is more I want to be alone itch...... guess that happens when you go an rush to marry someone you really don't know that well :?

Diets.... I had that simply harvest for breakfast (I think it is better than oatmeal) and lettuce and grilled chicken for lunch, with an apple. I am tired of being fat, so I am working on eating better.... I have to do this for myself

ETA, Ashley, I am glad the Dr visit went well.... is that weight good or bad for you???

AshleyElizabeth

Diets-I've never been so good at them. Granted, I'm tiny as is, but Icould eat healthier. I just love my pizza & burgers. I should work on that this year.

I've never been with someone long enough to have th "7 yr itch" but, I'm sorry that you're itching to be alone. Have you guys talked about it? Maybe he is feeling the same way? Then it was be easy to remain friends for the kids, KWIM?

Never had the 7 year itch. Haven't been with dh 7 years yet, but I don't think either of us will hit it. We're doing everythign we can to keep ourselves out of a rut.

ETA, Ashley, I am glad the Dr visit went well.... is that weight good or bad for you???

That's not a good weight. I am a normal 140. Anything less and I look sunken in. I can't believe I've let myself go! Dr said tha tsome of my weight is attributed to baby, but I can get back in shape with no problem, if I want it. I do, I just can't motivate myself to take away more time from Lex and dh than I already do. :(

Btw, diets suck. Today, I had part of a low-fat pop tart for breakfast and for lunch~ salad with balsamic spritzer and a little lean beef. I was kinda proud. I need to find a breakfast that sticks to you better.

I agree with Lynn, protein for breakfast is the best option!
Try making some taquitos with ham or turkey and stuffed with cheese... oh so good!

Ugh Sarah, I hate when DH and I disagree about money. That is why I am going to put my pay raise in MY account, and have that as savings

Bel, I am so sorry it is so bad with Oscar..... seriously I don't understand some men.....
Dh goes around saying is that the only thing he cares about is my happiness and that if I am happy he is happy... then he acts so selfish it is ridiculous!!! and then he blames ON ME that he is not happy!!! yesterday I told him it is a little too off that he bases his happiness on me and my decisions, that he should do a little more BY himself

Pam, I seriously think you need to eat some proteins. Your calorie count is a little too low, and if that happens, your body goes to starvation mode and keep ACCUMULTING FAT!!

What worked best for me to lose weight was a small amount of carbs in my diet, plus work out. But you need to cut carbs, not proteins

Ok here is a sample day. Pam it won't help much since you are trying not to eat meat. Vegetarian?

Breakfast:

I alternate days of 2 eggs (usually microwaved at work) or 6 0z of 1% cottage cheese
1 fruit
1 starch (3 melba toast, 1 rice cake or 1 slice diet bread)

Snack:

1 protein supplement (usually in the form of Oatmeal (Quaker has a weight management oatmeal that is high in protein)

Lunch

8 oz of Chicken
2 cups of Salad (which equals 2 servings of veggies)
1 fruit

Mid-afternoon snack

1 fruit
1 protein supplement (in the form of pudding or hot cocoa)

Dinner

7 - 8 oz fish OR 5 1/2 ozs Lean Sirloin
2 servings veggies

Basically what it boils down to each day is:

3 servings of protein
3 servings of fruit
4 servings of veggies
2 starch
1 fat (either lite mayo or lite margerine)

Sarah....go for it! Tell your DH that you were about to go but you didn't want to run out of gas and be stranded by the road with the kids. Wait you might want to pick him up any way what if he takes a taxi those things cost to much!

Lynn....I have several people tell me not to starve myself funny thing is its rare now that I feel hungry. The first few days were killer but not as much now if I feel hungry I eat some thing but I try to make it a fruit ya know.

So here is yesterdays food. I have a bad habit of thinking I need some thing sweet at night. Do you think the OJ is a bad snack? I know it has a lot of sugar but its got to be better for me than most sweets right? What do you all eat when you crave some thing sweet?

The way I feel tooday my dear Sarah, you would be a SMART WIFE if you forgot to pick Matt from the airport

I decided that after we finish the bankruptcy issue, I am going to see a Family attorney

Pam - Could you do the suger free jello at night? That way its something sort of sweet w/o all the sugar. Oh and you need to start your day off with some breakfast, not just water. As soon as you eat your bodies starts burning it so it is sluggish if you wait until lunch. Eat girl!

Claudia - Hugs to you. I know how hard it is to decide about family law attorneys. I know that your family is a great support staff for you.

I NEED to know my rights as a parent, and the chances of me taking the kids back to Mexico IF I end up leaving DH.

If that doesn't happen, my plan A is to move in with Pam and Morgan. Plan B would be to find someone else and let him take care of me and my kids

Oj needs something to offset all the sugar, or you'll crash.

For sweets, I'm starting to go with sugar free jello pudding and jello with fruit in it. You could do a cup of milk with sugar-free chocolate syrup in it, too. It was low-cal. Maybe cottage cheese with fruit? I also do 100 cal packs when I'm in a bind.

Thanks for the ideas! I will look at the sugar free jello stuff this weekend.

some breakfast, not just water.

I have been working on that but yesterday I bomed because Morgan and I sleep in to late for breakfast.

I lost it last night. I had an all out cry-fest around bedtime. First, I found out that I was 194 lbs. Not cool. Then, I found out I was denied financial aid for Spring, so I have to delay graduation. Then, I found out I can't get the faculty/staff scholarship bcs I haven't worked here for 6 mos. Then, right as I was dozing off on the couch, dh says, "Time to do weight training!" And hods the weights over me. I went off. "You've had all night to help me work out, and you pick now?! Right before I fall asleep.. You jerk." And he gave me this look. Utter hurt and disgust. I lost it. I couldn't stop crying. I was sorry, I was tired, and I haven't had my prozac in a week... Sorry for the story..

We are on water restrictions too, but car washing is allowed as long as you have a water stopper on the hose. I prefer to wash my own vehicle. That way I can use my own soaps and make sure that what is getting put down our sewers is environmentally friendly :)

I'm so sorry that so many of you are unhappy :( It makes me sad that you are sad :(

Ashely, I don't understand how you can be denied financial aid. Can't you apply for a student loan? They are guaranteed!

Claudia, good thinking getting all your ducks in a row. If needed, you should start to document all the crappy things your dh says to you in regards to the children.

Sarah. Hugs honey. Let him take a cab.

I don't have school advise Ashley, I am clueless about that.... which is another thing that bothers me, when my kids go to school and all that, they will be talking about things I have no idea!!! I didn't went to school here, I don't know how it works, I don't know all the social aspects of school.... and DH would not help (I am sure of that)

I am pretending I am working... and I was browsing on the internet to see if I can find info about moving kids out of the country after a divorce... part of me thinks that divorce is too radical, and that I should work things out... but the other part of me tells me it is not worth fighting for, that I am just going to be miserable and things are not going to get better, no matter how much I fool myself. My DH is a selfish person and he is not going to change, because he hasn't changed in 2 years :?

We cannot ahve over 195 hours attepmted, or we're denied any more aid.. ugh.

What I read..

Credit hours will be considered to be satisfactorily completed if one of the following grades is earned: A, B, C, D, or P. Grades of F, QF,W, WH, WF or WP are not satisfactory. If a graduate student receives a WH for Thesis Research or Thesis Writing, the hours will not be counted as hours attempted due to the length of time needed to complete this degree requirement. However, there is a two-year limit on Theses Research and Thesis Writing.
If you withdraw from the university prior to the end of the semester, receive all F's or QF's, or receive any combination of these, you will be denied for future financial assistance. This procedure will be checked at the end of each semester. You may reapply once Satisfactory Progress has been met.
Financial Aid is given to students enrolled for remedial courses (098 & 099). These courses are considered attempted hours and also count as earned hours for financial aid satisfactory progress. A student must make a grade of A, B, C, D, or P to remain in compliance.
Repeated classes are treated the same as any other class.

Claudia,
I am anti divorce when things can be worked out but at the same time I know it takes 2 people to work them out. You can't do it on your own and if he isn't willing to get help then there is nothing more you can do. I don't see any thing wrong with seeing what and who is out there to help you. I just want to see you and the kids happy. As far as school goes... I am praying by the time your kids start school you will be out of FL and closer to me so I can help.
