Oh Sarah!! I honestly don't know!! I am also a laid back person, and very secure, so even when I was a teen, if people didn't liked me, I always thought WHATEVER!!! it honestly never bothered me.
I don't know what to do to keep your kids "safe", I guess we just have to make sure they know we as parents are there for them, good or bad, and that they can always come to us when they have problems

It is scary to think about it, specially when it is becoming so common... I try to go back and think what my parents did to us so we became self confident women?? I would have to say love, and being there are the #1 reasons

I like what Lynn said, make them realize their lives are good ones, and have them appreciate that. Talk to them when they are having bad days, and ALWAYS keep an eye on them... no one knows the kids better than mom

Hey girls! I hardly ever come in here anymore because I missed so much! So I thought I would just jump in on the last page...

Protein - yeah, I am eating the anemic pregnant woman's breakfast of champions - fried oysters and a raisin english muffin. :D

Kids - Sarah - I think it ALL the time. Working in an ER I see so much and I wonder - how did this person get here? How in the world did this suicidal teenager get here? And to be honest, usually their parents never show up, and when we call to get consent to treat them or find out insurance information, they get all piss2d off that we woke them up. Would that be you? I don't think so.

I had one the other day - 14 year old boy with suicidal ideations, who also had anger issues who went after his brother with a hammer. (yeah, I loved handing him my pen to sign for his information) Anyway, I called his parents and his mother gets on the phone and we ask if anyone is coming down, and she says "why should I bother, he's just gonna sit there, right?"

So that is where it comes from. Sure there are rare events when kids are just somehow off in the head from day one, but mostly people who do stuff like the mall shootings are created, not born.

So we are home from Busch Gardens and had a wonderful day. Could not have asked for better weather, or better behaved children :) Our high was 77 with clear blue skies. Beautiful :)

The trio went on lots of rides! Ronin went on the car ride and I got some adorable photos that I'll upload later. He's down now drinking some milk, but it's going to be a NO nap day. It's just too late now, so they'll go to bed a bit early.

Thursday is senior citizen day, and OMG....it was like the trio had 1000 grandparents. Everyone that we sat by for the shows, etc., wanted to touch them and hold them. I tried to let this cute little old lady hold Ronin, but that lasted about 2 seconds before he just started screaming...and right in the middle of a silent part of the Holiday on Ice show. :lol:

I am :( today... I had to wake up both kids to go to daycare, and when we were getting there, Dani was saying "no Sophie" (the daycare lady's daughter) and she didn't wanted to stay there.... before that, when I was taking a shower I cried because I am tired of working

Anyways, DH and I talked yesterday about other options if we decide to move out of FL.... everything is mid west, so probably I will have to suck up with the snow......

I told DH about the BG meet up, and he didn't sounded thrilled.... so if he doesn't want to go, I will take the kids by myself!!! I am so excited it is not even funny!!

I think NC or SC would be the most ideal. You get season without having the hard cold winters. I think Fl is a little warmer than Houston but still similar. I don't mind hte heat in the SPRING and SUMMER but dang it I want seasons.

I told dh if they ever open a restaurant in NC or SC to put in for it but he doesn't want to live that far from our families. Hes done it before and doesn't like it (he lived in cali and hawaii)

I love love love working with Dogs but I some times wish I could afford a dog bather so I had some one to talk to. I can't afford a dog bather and a Saturday baby sitter! Morgan is almost getting old enough that I don't really need a sitter for her on Saturdays. Almost not quite I would say another 6 months or so and I can trust her without one because she is always in my sight any way because she hangs out with me in the shop. The only thing my Saturday baby sister does is take Morgan to the potty if I don't have time and make mac and cheese for lunch and I pay her 25 dollars for that. :roll:

This weekend was hell you guys..

friday night i didnt sleep at all..was up all night cold and hot than about 5:00am sat morn i was puking..went to sleep on couch somhow dh got lulu back to bed w/o me..i woke up around 8:00 and was feeling better still stuffed up..but than i noticed our water had frozen and we had no water till sunday..i am still stuffed up..dh threw up sat night..UGH merry holidays :(
