((BIG HUGS)) sweetie. Im already dreading Peytons next shot appt and its a month away still!!

It wouldn't be so bad but they make me hold her legs down and then she is looking right at me when they give her the shots so she thinks I did it! Then when its all over I go to comfort her and she wants nothing to do with me because I am the one who hurt her.

It may sound silly but DD doesn't forget! One day I came out of the shower with my hair wraped up and it scared her to death she cried the rest of the night even in her sleep. For days when I would go to pick her up she would look at the top of my head like is that big thing going to come back?

newmami
07-24-2006, 12:27 PM
Awww poor Morgan!! I think it is cruel that they let you hold her legs... what our Pedi does is I sit on a chair and hold Danielle, her back against my chest, and the nurse holds her legs, so she knows who the evil one is....

I will get that brownie recipe once we open all the boxes in the new house, and post it here, I promise!!!

Jai

The post about the peanut butter chips in the brownie mix made me SO hungry for something sweet!

Claudia - isn't moving with baby just SO much harder! I have always been really good at moving, and with the exception of loading and unloading boxes from a truck, I've liked it in the past... but with Stella moving has been 1,000 times more difficult, stressful and sometimes impossible!

I have been told that I look like Ally Sheedy - from Breakfast Club, not from Short Circuit - which I totally don't get. Maybe when I went through the all-black goth phase for a few months in high school, LOL.

Do you all ever get people telling you you have twins out there somewhere? In the past few months I have had three different people ask me if I have a twin sister, or telling me they thought they saw me out somewhere but it was someone who just looked exactly like me?! Weird. I want to see this person! I'd probably be really offended. I think I look way better than I actually do!

A girl that I used to hang out with occassionally, and frequented the same gyms I did, looked alot like me...I would go in, and someone would strike up a conversation with me, assuming that I was Stacy...Same thing would happen at the mall (where she worked). Then, the kicker was, I had some pics where a bunch of us were out as a group, and showed them to my mom--she thought the pics with Stacy in them were me  I took it as a compliment, over-all, b/c she's about 10 years younger than I am...But it did get annoying at times.

I do the same thing Pam!! I think its ridiculous how much they can charge for WATER!!! So I stick them in the dishwasher and fill them w tap water and either freeze them or put them in the fridge. Ive heard putting them in the fridge for a certain amount of time does something good to them. Although right now, Im having a brain freeze and cant remember what it is. :D

Um, the closing date is set for September 8th....so probably we'll be moving the 9th. ONE month away! I am sooooo excited!!! I told Dh today that I'm most excited about my new kitchen!!!!!! It's sooo big compared to the TINY kitchen I have now. And... all the cupboard space I'll have... I wont even know what to do with it all!! You'll probably think I'm crazy but... I'm so excited because there are 2 sets of FOUR drawers in the kitchen!!! I only have two drawers in my kitchen now!!!! I so can't wait to move!

 TinkerBell... and what a fine addition it was!

Aly, I can TOTALLY related to how excited you are about a big kitchen. In fact, I seriously have kitchen envy!!! Our last condo had a tiny kitchen and now this apartment has even less cupboard space (poor design). I'm soooo looking forward to a house when DH is done with school and we'll know where we want to settle down.

Be sure to post pics of the new house and BIG kitchen so I can live vicariously through you a little bit.

Aly - I had the same excitement over 2 sets of drawers in the kitchen. I love mine and actually had to create a junk drawer to get something in each of them. New homes are so exciting....until you think about actually packing. That part is not so fun. We're almost all packed up here, but it was/is a lot of work.

Congrats on buying a house! I missed that post somehow.

I know what you mean about the small kitchen.... there is just enough room for one person in my kitchen, one more person and it's crowded. I can stand at the stove and reach just about anything I need....I might have to take a step to get something. It's SO small. The kitchen in the house is sooooo spacious. TONS of cupboards. I have a pic.... I'll post it so you can see!!! :D

Aly - we take turns so one of us can be with Elliot. He only lasts so long in his exesaucer before needing interaction beyond having us talk to him while we pack. Start early if you can. That seemed to make it a little less stressful for us. Love the new kitchen picture. Looks very spacious and is that chair in the kitchen also? So someone could sit down and still be in your kitchen? I would love that.

Holly - that looks like my last apartment's kitchen. We couldn't have the dishwasher open and stand normally infront of the sink at the same time. Had to stand sideways and take things out of the sink with one hand so we didn't bang our shins on the dishwasher door.

My house is neat most of the time, BUT it has its messy days. I mostly clean after both the girls are in bed though. Thats when I get my cleaning spurts. I get in "these moods" (as DH calls them) at about 10:30-11pm. lol. Thankfully, hes not usually home. Although, he gets very annoyed on Fridays when I start. Because THEN he has to do something. :P

Peyton LOVES the vacumm. In fact, if shes fussing and I cant get her to calm down. I pick her up and vacuum. She LOVES it. :D In fact, one time about 2 weeks ago, she was crying for no reason that I could find and I thought she was just overly tired. So I put her in her swing and just started the vacuum in a stand still and she went right to sleep.

it was hot here, so all we did was chill out. i hung out with my mom on saturday, and yesterday i got mad at DH cause i went to the grocery store to specifically get items to make a pizza (the crust, sauce, etc) well i got home and the baby woke up so i had to nurse her, BUT we had some repair guys in the house to fix our washer and dryer so DH told me to go upstairs to nurse (even tho i balked at that cause i nurse anywhere and everywhere) and i told him DO NOT let my pizza burn...and what did he do???
i was sooo super mad....

OH!!! I would have been mad about the pizza too! I mean when you go to all the trouble to go out and get the stuff and put it together then the least he can do is make sure is doesn't burn! ***MEN!***

Last night I got upset at DH. We never get to spend time together as a family. We were all home last night and I told him that I was going to work on laundry because it was some thing I could bring to the living room so we could all be in the same room. He insisted on mowing the yard and I didn't say any thing becaue it did need it. But he didn't just mow the yard but washed out the car port and pulled weeds and trimmed the yard. It took him from 3 - 9 we have a large yard and he did a really good job. I was glad he did it but he distroyed in chance of family time. I started putting Morgan down for bed at 9 and by the time I got her to bed he had taken out all the trash and had started cleaning the kitchen. We don't have a diswasher and the dishes had piled up. He didn't come to bed until 11:30! I felt like a bad wife because here he had done so much and I was upset because we had no family time this weekend! I was willing to pay some one to do the yard just to get some time with him.

My feelings are so torn!

I feel bad for being so upset. He was trying to do some thing nice for me. He didn't want me to have to worry about yard work or house work this week. It was kind of him but what I was really wanting was together time.

Oh, well maybe he will get off early one day this week and when he get home the house will be clean and yard work done so we will be able to spend some time togethere then.

Pam, that really sucks!! I agree with reserving some family time. Hopefully that will help.

My situation is kind of similar. We dont see DH during the week but maybe for a half hour/hour a day. So, Fri nights and Saturdays I look forward to family time, and me time (since its just me and the girls all week) But I SWEAR every weekend its something else. DHs family is so big and theres always some kind of get toegther/party to go to. For once, I just want to sit home all weekend and enjoy DH and the girls as a family.

Jai, yup, it's all using PSP. That's too bad your online version was all screwy. I hope you have fun playing with it tomorrow and enjoy making pages. It'll be fun to have a buddy to share stuff with. ;)

I went to scrapbook-bytes.com and downloaded some free kits and junk! Now I'm just goofing around and trying to figure all this stuff out.

I haven't made anymore pages. Looking at the one I did last night and comparing it to others I've seen... well, it's soooooo lame! But it was a good tutorial and helped me get started.

You can definitely print them out, though I don't know the best way to do it b/c I haven't looked into it yet. I think one of the perks of going digital is now I can make multiple copies of a page. So, my plan at this moment is to scrapbook C's first year and then give books to my Mom, MIL, Grandma, etc for Christmas. :D

I thought it sounded sort of catchy...Like ESP, but with a "P".
I guess all these girls are doing their digital scrapbooking with Photo Shop, which sounds pretty neat, but I'm probably better off sticking with my old-fashioned method.

Well I FINALLY got the program to work on my other computer. We wont go into HOW PISSED I AM that I get get it to work on my new computer.

The program has a trial copy you can use for 30 days. And then to purchase it from the website (after getting the trial) is 59.99 (if you do the electronic downlaod, you should probaly purchase the insurance which is 4.99). I did that and returned the electronic download cuz of my computer. UGHH!!! But usually it works ok like that.

Best buy has it on sale. Its reg 99.99 and then on sale for 69.99 with a 30$ mail in rebate its 39.99!!!

Their site is: http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Corel3/Products/Display&pfid=1047024307383&pid=1047025487586

Jai, what I found most helpful was to Google PSP scrapbooking tutorial. There are a lot of walkthroughs. Or go to digi scrapbooking sites and find the 'how-to' area. There are tons of freebies too!

Glad you finally got it all worked out. Are you using it on your new computer now?

Uh-oh! This was creeping down the page.. can't let it die!!!!!

Over the weekend I got a bunch of scrapbooking stuff to start Caleb's scrapbook! I'm SO excited! I made a page today, his first bath! Now I just need to get prints of all the pictures so I can do more pages!!! And.. I also still need to get the book, I just have the pages and some stickers. But.. it's a start and I'm super excited! I wanna go and print ALL the pictures now so I can start..... but I can't do that just yet.

Thanks Holly. Im almost ready to give up. It really isnt as self explainatory as I thought it would be. This is the most money Ive ever spent on myself in a VERY long time. And I guess I feel guilty about it. That and not knowing how to do it right away sucks!!

Im gonna google it and see if I can understand it more. I hope I can, I was really looking forward to using it. The book really doesnt say anything about digi scrapbooking. :(

No, Im still having to use it on my old computer. Is the tutorials reading or do you have to listen to it? We dont have speakers on this computer. DH is majorly POd about not being able to use it on our new computer.

---Aly, good for you!! I cant wait to see a pic of it!! Have fun!!

Christi--I go in spurts with the scrapbooking thing. You can always go back and do it any time...if it's finished any time before she's married, it's all good  And you've got notes to work with.

Sherry, yup, I used PSP. It's took me... ohh... 6 hours. There are just so many options, I had to try them all! I don't know about print quality b/c I haven't tried it. I did get all the goodies from a digital scrapbooking site and they are the highest quality so I don't see why the page wouldn't turn out looking great.

Okay, question...

What's one thing you are looking forward to doing with your baby/child someday?

For me, I really cannot wait to go to Disneyland. I remember how special and exciting it was for me when I was young and I just can't wait for C to grow up so I can take him!

Right now, I can't wait till he's old enough to go to the zoo and actually enjoy it. I think it'd be fun to take Caleb.. Also, I can't wait to take him to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. I went once when I was younger and loved it.

Holly - where the heck did you get 6 hours???? :)

Its funny, but Disneyland is high on my list, but I have had this fantasy of just taking her to a meadow where the grass is tall and there are wild flowers growing and watch her walk and run and chase butterflies...

Ok it now occurs to me that I am hijacking that image from the opening montage of "Little House on the Prairie..."

Ok, Disneyland...

:)

PS - It was my 25th birthday when I stepped foot for the first time at Dland... and I loved it so much!

We're taking Kelsey to Cocoa Beach next spring and we may do Disney, not sure yet. I can't wait til we can take her to the zoo but there's one place that dh and I agree that we won't take her...the circus! Ughhhhh! I hate seeing those poor animals whipped and abused just for entertainment purposes. I have a huge problem with circuses...Oh, and I HATE clowns!!!!!! They scare me!

It would have to be Disney World for me too. But, we also LOVE traveling, so anywhere that we get an opportunity to take him (when he's old enough to really appreciate what he's experiencing) is something I'm looking forward to.

Disneyworld may not be too exciting for her, considering she has already been there enough (we have annual passes)

Well I have never been to Disney Land so I can't wait to take Morgan some day. I just hope we can go with out Monster in law! Any time we take a trip if she finds out about it she goes too!

I can't wait until Morgan is old enough to ride some rides. I have taken her to Silver Dollar City and she liked the showes but I wanted to ride some rides. LOL

When we lived in LA we were annual passport holders too... for both Disneyland and Universal Studios. That was so much fun - we could just on any day say "hey, lets go to Disneyland" and we would just go, swipe the card and we're in!

I miss it...
