The best advice I can give you about your parents.... they will see the truth so don't try to hide it! Tell them the truth if they ask. I worked so hard for 4 years to hide the hell I was living in to my parents and all who were around me when they could see it. That just made them worry about me more. Claudia they love you and they will notice but use there support! You need it! Take the time when your parents are in to cry it out with your father! Yesterday the lady told me she would no longer provide lunch... I sort of understand, she is PG and the other girl she takes care of is allergic to EVERYTHING, and the mom does not provide food for her :shock: . So she wants to make everybody "even"... anyways, DH is upset and wants me to take the kids out of there... I am happy that I can control what Dani is eating, and I don't mind a lot because she will eat what we have for dinner (Dani eats light dinners because it is healthier)

Can I get my kids gift certificates for Christmas?? I am soooo bad with toys, I have no clue what to get them because most of the times the toys stay in the box.... I was thinking some learning toys, but I am stuck :?

Yeah, I just ignored our fight the other night too...not worth it to re hash it...or is that bad to ignore It? I forget. Does your employer offer counselors at all? Usually insurance covers it, but there's a copay.

So my kids are sick and DH and I are sick with colds... WONDERFUL!!!

I gained a little bit of respect for my boss today, we were making coffee and he said "I need to get a mug like you, because it is a waste to use all this styrofoam cups.... we also should be recycling all those water bottles and cans, it is amazing we don't do that".... he he he my green boss!!!

Well Dani ate all her lunch yesterday, I am sooooo happy!!! next week that Dh is out, I am making yummy lunch for me and her.... I love that I can use more than green beans and broccoli when it comes to veggies (that is all DH eats :roll: )

I decided on presents for the kids... an easel that turns into a table and coloring supplies for Dani.... for Chris, I am getting him some soft blocks (the ones we have were recalled and I am freaking out) and his high chair.

I am so looking forward to this christmas/her birthday! Last year we were broker than broke - like, digging out pennies to pay for gas in the car broke. My job is still pretty good. Man, the things you see (and smell!) in an ER. Its getting colder, so you can guess where the homeless are all coming! I had one really wanting my phone number yesterday... yeah. He was pretty funny though. I think I understand why insurance is so expensive though - people come to the ER for the stupidest things. "I am just so tired" or "I think I have the flu" or yesterday "My 1 month old is crying and tired." Um. Yeah. Babies cry. (PS - the baby didn't cry except when being poked and prodded...) Yesterday I didn't process ONE private insurance. It was all medicare or medicaid. Every single patient.

Claudia, sounds like Dani and Morgan are getting gifts that are close to the same thing! I am getting her all kinds of art supplies to go in "Claudia's room" and then the fridge will be her big gift but I am thinking my mom may give her that and if she does then I will give her a tri C. as her big gift. Oh man I wish! Actually, the EMTs are the cutest... but for the most part the doctors are so, well, doctory that I have no attraction to them.

The ER isn't nearly as dramatic as on TV - sure, we have people come in who are in cardiac arrest (yesterday we did and lost him) but the EMTs don't come charging in the doors, straddling the patient doing CPR with frantic nurses rushing forward hooking tubes up or anything. It is much more orderly and calm.

Oh and the nurses are SO not Nurse Hathaway... breaking the rules to help the patients. They are not nearly as kind and sensitive to them...

How many of you all do "Blitz" (the day after Thanksgiving shopping)? We are always at Wal-Mart no later than 4:30 am. The closest Wal-Mart to my house is about an hour away so I have to leave home around 3 ish! We shop until after dark. :roll: One year I had to drive all the way back home to unload my car because there just wasn't enough room to keep shopping. So I unloaded my car around 2 and went back to keep shoping until around 6 :shock: . Crazy thing is I never spend more than 600 dollars total for all of my family, friends and sig. others family. I just like walking around look. LOL

Oh, Bel!!! You would love Thanksgiving with my family! Your whole family is welcome! We live out in the country and we go for a hike on Thanksgiving about an hour 1/2 after dinner. Its so much fun. We take lots of pictures in the fall leaves and have a great time. While we are out on our hike we always look for my granny's christmas tree and mark it with a ribbon and then my grandpa goes back in a week or so and cuts it down for her and brings it back to the house. Thanksgiving is so much fun!

i just called the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and they are evalutating matts info and are going to call me if they feel is a candidate for an appt..

can i tell you something..I HAVENT TOLD HIM I DID THIS :shock: he is right now against a 2nd opinion, he is worried about the travel costs and such with the trip to rochester (his mom will help) he doesnt want to owe her anything so doesnt want her help..we get along great withher but thast the way he is..feels he will owe her if she does this..but i called them anyways..

this is his life and his health and i would feel so much more comfortable if we had a 2nd opinon by some of the best of the best MS doctors in the world..the have a clinic dedicated just to MS there..i mean if htey tell us yes chemo is the answer than ok we go with it..but i feel like i need that 2nd voice ya know..i feel bad for not tellin him i called them..i will have to talk to him today about it.. :(

I'm having 2 issues right now and Tara has been bugging me to get them checked out so that's what tomorrow is. First my foot is bothering me so I'm getting an xray. Secondly, I have a really hard time swallowing sometimes and when I drink it's really loud when I swallow. I'm having a barium swallow test done. I guess there's some kind of physical therapy you can do to help this so when you get older you don't have a problem aspirating???

I have tried and tried to talk Tara into letting me have #2 but that is probably all we are going to have so I can't take it away from her. I absolutely loved being preggo and had such an easy time, but now I'm getting ready to be 39 and my eggs are old! LOL! Tara is 29, which is why I went first, so her eggs are nice and young! We have 5 samples left from Zack's donor so I hope we get lucky on the first or second try. Not to mention the money.....we've already bought a wing at the hospital with Zack....LOL!

No Grants dad left when he was around 4. He tried really hard to stay around for Grant but his mom is just to strange so they divorced and Martha kept Grant from him.

Hi Guys! I'm around. Some work to do but just blech this week. Yesterday my teens were fighting and DD kicked the crap out of DS cuz he was gonna tell on something and I sat down and talked with both of them and kinda punished both of them because they were both in teh wrong and DH was like :shock: cuz I didn't get pissed over DD kicking her bedroom door in because it was locked and all her stuff was inside . Well we alrady knew that she had done that when we sat down and talked to them so what good does it do to go balistic when you actually see the door. So me and him are fighting.

Then DD calls me this morning that I need to call the cops because her friend (who gives her a ride to school every day) just hit my son with her car. So I had to leave my parent where I drop of the baby and spend an hour and a half talking to the cops. My DS is fine, no one got hurt, they horseplay like this every day but today it went too far and she actually hit him. Lesson learned on everyone's part but now the girl is mad at DD for calling the cops since her daddy took her car away...boo hoo!

In the evening I went to the paraguayan tourism workshop presentation (which my brother happens to be the president of the Paraguayan Agencies association whose is organizing it and did the speach) as a very proud sister I almost cried then
I had a meeting yesterday at a friend´s house, in honor of special guest that came yesterday from different countries and I went back home at 12.
Today I have a meeting at 11, then pick up ceci from school, have lunch at home, come back to the office.
We are having a congress here, (AGAIN which my mom happens to be the president of the international organization) It will start tonight, yep bingo! another dinner tonight and from tomorrow to sunday Ill be all day at the congress hotel, dinners, speachs full day :shock:

DH's 50th birthday is today. I arranged for 20 of his friends to meet up at the Keg Steakhouse and I'm hoping it will be a surprise because somehow I have to convince him that a great steak is the least he deserves on his 50th. He wants me to cook him roast chicken tonight :roll:

My father, at the grand old age of 82, has decided he needs perfect vision and is getting laser surgery to correct it :lol: God love him, he is still so healthy and active!

Bel - I had no idea what a hot shot you were! Can you appoint me to some important post if I promise to behave? LOL! I want to be an ambassador.

We did not have a good appt yesterday with the infertility dr who got me preggo. We found out after I already had Zack that the donor had some minor genetic issues. Some of his kids have had some minor conditions that have either gone away on their own or with medication. Because of this, he doesn't want to use our samples to get Tara preggo even though Zack is perfect. We have weighed this decision for a long time and talked with other Dr's, which is why we decided to go ahead with it, just to have him now decide to play God and decide whether we get to have this kid or not. Now, we probably have to find another dr and take our samples elsewhere and we were all set to start ttc in 3 wks when Tara should be ovulating. There is no time now to do that in that short of time so we miss out on another month. The original dr said he would talk to a genetics specialist and give us "his decision" by Friday. I wanted to smack him in the mouth. After all, he's not going to be there to raise and love this baby, despite any health problems. I think he's just worried about a lawsuit. :(

Most of the times he is gone for training in Atlanta. Couple of times he went to the plants to help with the implementation of new software/hardware for the plants (2 times when I was on maternity leave, so I went with him).

I'm ready to go home! All of a sudden, around 1:30, I just got this wave of exhaustion and could barely keep my eyes open. I seriously had to take a quick 2 min cat nap at my desk. :shock: Hope no one saw me...

We are working on moving into my grandparents house this week and pretty much all next week too. It's just kind of a slow process because we also have to move my grandparents stuff out. It's kind of sad getting rid of their stuff, but a lot of it we are storing in the basement. I just can't wait to get settled in! Plus, my Aunt has pretty much given me permission to do whatever I want decorating wise. I can paint, I can put in new carpet! I'm so excited about that! The only thing is, it's all paneling. (the walls) :? I hope it turns out alright. I just need to figure out what colors I want to use and what not. I will need your help Bel and Sarah! Since ya'll are the painting experts!

Sarah, quick question if you don't mind me asking. Was it real expensive to do the wood floors? I love the way your floors look and wouldn't mind doing that in some of the rooms. PM me if you don't feel comfortable telling how much you spent. I will understand. :wink:

Hey Candice..YAY for being able to do whatever you want with teh house..thats a great feeling..i love making a place all my own.

the floors werent very expensive..DH did all the work himself so that cut out a lot of costs and we didnt go with the really expensive floors..with kids and pets we went relatively cheep..i think for both rooms it cost us a little over $400 to do..we though tabotu carpet but NO WAY with my family :lol:

I love our "wood" (fake) floors. We put it in our back living room but now I want to do the front living, dining, play room and our bedroom. Our dogs shed like crazy and its hard to keep the floors nice looking. The wood is sooooooooo easy to keep clean. I love it

I never heard anything on the monitor and he never cried so I have no idea. He was just sitting there laughing :shock: Needless to say, I had to throw him in the bath and do a quick load of laundry and try to get my butt out the door. I can still smell it..BLAH!

We have a meeting at work from 10-12pm so it's going to be hard to stay awake. Tara is supposed to call the stupid fertility dr after 1pm so I'm anxiously awaiting that news. She definitely has to call because I'm still livid and about ready to lose it with him.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a happy friday and I'll update ya'll later when I know what the a$$hole dr says....

We have laminate floors too. Only place carpeted inour house is our bedroom. Love them! Easy to clean with kids and pets. We swiffer Vaccuum and then use the Clorox mop...Simple!

Hope everyone is having a better weekend than us. Zack is fine, but Tara and I have been puking and on the potty since late last night. Guess we have some kind of stomach bug. Thank God for my mother. I called her at 5am this morning and she came right over and took care of Zack and us all day long.
