Thank you kbhlmh. It does make me feel a little better that I possibly won't have to be monitored while on it and I can just take it. It is in a pill form now too right? My mother in law took it years ago to get pregnant with my husband but she doesnt remember much about it other than they were shots she had to give herself.

I will try to make this as short as possible. I just really need some support and advice from you ladies.

I have been sick since I was 11. I was diagnosed with IC and endometriosis when I was 17 and told that I would not be able to get pregnant. I went in to have a surgery on my bladder last March and it was canceled due to a positive pregnancy test. We lost the baby one week later. Although we were devastated, it turned out to be a good thing. The m/c made me extremely sick and put me into the hospital. While I was there they found out what else was wrong with me for all these years. My body produces low amounts of cortisone and I was diagnosed with adrenal disease.

I have been off of b/c since nov. and My husband and I have been ttc for four months now. I was told that the longer I am off of my b/c that less chance I have of getting pregnant because of the growth of my endo. I am going to my doctor on friday to discuss clomid. I know I am young, but I feel my clock is going to run out soon if I do not stop up and do something. They mentioned it before when I went in for the prenatal visit, but I do not know if they will give it to me due to my age.

I was just curious as to what you ladies though. Do you think because of my medical history and my diseases that the dr's will help me out? Additionally, I was wondering what you ladies had to go through. do they just give you the meds or do you have to go back and forth to the dr for this and that? Additionally, how does the drug effect your body? I have heard it plays with your emotions dramatically, (like I need that! My cortisone helps with that plenty).:bounce:

I am just going insane over here waiting for the appointment. I just really need people to talk to about it and maybe calm my nerves a little bit.
so sorry you having these issues.

I have had 2 cycles of clomid in the last 3 months. The first time I experienced hot flashes and was depressed. But this time I really only had 1 day of hot flashes and I feel fine emotionaly. It was pretty easy for me to get my Dr to do Clomid, since my hubby and I have been TTC for 6 years. I am going back and forth to the Dr. 3 times a month. But I am doing Clomid and IUI so thats is why I am being monitored.

good luck to you, I hope you get your BFP soon!

Went to my RE today for CD12 ultrasound. I have 2 follies. 1 on each side measuring 19 and 20. Trigger tonight and IUI scheduled for 9am Sunday morning. Trying to think positive. DH has issues with s volume. Not the count itself but the volume, and my RE says that this lessens our IUI success rate. Just hoping Hubby has a good day on Sunday :) and then on to our 2ww.

Just got the call from Donna and I'm really sad to report she got a BFN. She is so broken-hearted, which makes me broken-hearted for her. This is such a tough road for so many of us. It just hurts so much when it doesn't work. I don't wish this kind of pain & frustration on anyone.

Please keep Donna in your thoughts and prayers ladies! Everyone have a safe weekend:wub:.

Heart breaking in deed . we need to have HOPE. That's all we have. send her a :hugs:

IUI #2 was done today! RE said 80% movement after wash! I didn't get the count but Dr seemed happy with it. He gave me progesterine suppositories to start taking in 3 days and continue if I get BFP. I haven't taken these before, but the Dr said that it will help with my lining. Which measured good over 8 but he said with my past history of ashermans that it can't hurt. on to the 2ww anyone else waiting?

Did my blood work for IVF and the recurrent m/c panel today. They took 6 vials of blood from DH and 23 vials from me. I hope I find out the schedule for my IVF protocol soon. Continuing to lurk in here and thinking positive thoughts for everyone!

Oh my God 23 vials of blood from you... do you have any left ?:silly:

I sure hope they find out. I met someone once on these boards and she always got pg with IVF but always lost them so after testing the second round they found out she needed antibotics for something her body was rejecting.. and she is now on her third trial and going to give birth very soon. I hope they find the answer to your problem too. MC is so hardbreaking also.

And DONNA, I don't know you but I am sorry about your BNF I hope you get better very soon and don't give up... we are praying for you.

I know for many of you this is a common PMS symptom, but I have had very sensitive boobs for the past 2 days...a week after the off-cycle bleeding (with intercourse) since my last AF (which was 1/31-2/5). AF should arrive in the next week, no later than 3/1. I really think that my hormones are off because of the 45 days I was on Fertilaid and now the DHEA for the past 3 weeks. I also gained weight last week. It was pretty depressing. I had lost 3 pounds several weeks ago, but last week I put it all back on. I figured it was water weight, but again, I don't normally get the PMS symptoms. Guess it's just time for a change. I like normal. I don't like change unless I expect it like when I'm taking progesterone. LOL

Ladies - I found this reading very helpful & inspirational. It reinforces the need for prayer. We are all going down a very difficult path as our hearts are 100% in a process that is not always successful. We all want to have a baby and as women, we feel that natural pull to nurture a child we have carried and birthed. However, we have to be obedient and we have to pray. We need to ask God what His plans are for us and seek his approval and direction. Take time to talk to God about your desires. Praise Him at all times, even the tough times. God answers our prayers, but according to His will and at His timing. Remember also that He doesn't give us too much to bear. Enjoy the read:wub:

God's Plans
"Thus says the LORD, 'Are you the one who should build Me a house to dwell in?'" 2 Samuel 7:5 NASB
To David, it seemed like a good idea. Living "in a house of cedar," he saw that "the ark of God dwells within tent curtains" (v. 2). He suggested to Nathan the prophet that it was time to build a permanent house for God.
Nathan did not object, and he encouraged David, "Go, do all that is in your mind, for the LORD is with you" (v. 3).
But neither of these men had prayed about this issue or sought God. They simply had made an assumption. It made sense...but God had different plans. Yes, a Temple was to be built, but David was not the man to do it. God would allow His Temple to be built at His time, in His way.
God wanted these men, and us, to understand why we can never take His will for granted. We need to remember that His ways are higher than our ways. We always need to seek Him, be guided by Him, and let Him direct our steps.
Over the centuries, many have failed to learn the lessons God taught David here. Many have decided to do "good" things for God, without ever checking with Him first. They have moved forward on their own and made assumptions without seeking Him. And they've paid a high price for their error.
The Bible tells us God has plans for our lives: "I know the plans that I have for you...plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). But we must seek Him and wait for His instructions.
Today, make sure to commit your way to God--every decision, every project. Don't lean on your own understanding, but trust in Him. As you wait on Him, He will direct your path.

Prayer Suggestion:
Father, I commit my life to You. Direct my steps, and show me Your plans. Help me to order my life according to Your will for me. I seek first Your Kingdom! In Jesus' name. Amen.

I figured it was water weight, but again, I don't normally get the PMS symptoms. Guess it's just time for a change. I like normal. I don't like change unless I expect it like when I'm taking progesterone. LOL

It sounds like you're on quite the roller coaster, Rhonda! I was on Fertilaid for a little over month and I didn't notice any new symptoms with my cycle. But then again, I got pregnant out of the blue when I was on it. So it seems to be pretty powerful stuff and maybe that is causing the changes to happen. I hope things get back to normal for you!!! :hugs:

Amen.

Maybe could it be a natural surprise?? And I was always told the first 5lbs gained or lost is water weight. :winks:

Wow pretty amazing... You are a real good daughter  God must be so proud of you.

Me my priest told us NOT to use a DONOR EGG after we did IVF with DE and so I decided to listen to him and what did I get?? What we were trying to avoid having... A Down's Syndrome little guy. Now my husband is really mad at the priest and the Church you better believe it...

And what can I say? We are not even allowed to do IVF... that is so discouraging and although I love my God and my Church and want to be a good obedient daughter... but on the other end my husband is kinda right... I am too old for healthy babies and now my son will suffer DS his whole life?? What do I say to this??

Yeah, I think it must be pretty powerful stuff. I'm starting back on prenatal vitamins after my next AF arrives. I stopped the Fertilaid when I had the bleeding with intercourse. It was too weird for me. I kept taking the DHEA however. Some women get sore boobs with PMS, but I never did. So, maybe this is just gonna be the way it is for me going forward:eyebrow:. No way natural surprises for a gal with no tubes! I had them both removed after 3 different ectopics and ruptured tubes. They were no good. It would take a serious miracle (never heard of before) for an egg to fertilize in lala land and find my uterus:wub:. Just doesn't make sense from a scientific perspective, so not thinking there's a chance for that type of surprise. I'd fall out if it happened for sure:crazy:.

I guess it's different with some denominations as to how they interpret the bible and what is appropriate. I am a Christian and I seek my guidance through prayer. Women were biologically made to bear children. If you are a child of God and you are faithful, then you have to believe that God would want you to be a mother as we were meant to be. We just have to seek His guidance on our pathway to motherhood. God is a loving God and he made the human race to be very intelligent. We trust doctors to do open heart surgery, transplants (receiving body parts from donors), so why would we limit ourselves and not accept donor eggs or surrogacy if God makes a way for us to get that level of care. Priests are human. They have their beliefs due to their interpretations, but you have to go with what is in your heart and listen to God when you pray. Just know that He loves us and answers our prayers so long as we are faithful and give Him the glory.

Sorry for all the preaching ladies, but this path we are all taking is a difficult one and sometimes we need to reach down deep into our spirituality to find the strength to move forward in our journey. Lean on God. Love you all...have a blessed day!!!

it's funny because when we were thinking about IVF, That was the one thing that worried me... that doing IVF would not be something God would want us to do and honestly, after alot of praying, I knew that God brought the opportunity in front of us. We never realized my company had insurance to cover IVF and fertility and I had a crazy amount of covg for all the procedures. Then when I really thought about it and talked to my mom and brother who are very very big on the bible (more than I am) and are Christians as well told me that it wasn't wrong to do IVF and they supported me 100% with everything. Then DH brought up that God made it possible for this technology to be available, I understand there are many things that God does not create. You are creating a child from God and if God was truly against it, why does he bless women with children that do IVF and allow it to work?

I do believe in His love for me and His ability to answer prayers and work miracles. I have one already (my DD)!! I know He will bless us with more children and I am open to whatever path He lays out for us. The signs that led us to do another cycle include the treatment options of IVIG and the change in insurance coverage last year where we got the limited coverage for ART procedures and full coverage for IVIG and now full coverage 1/1/2010 for meds. In addition we learned of the estrogen priming and DHEA for this fourth cycle and expect to have a much better outcome. Our failed cycles in the past is a test of faith. We couldn't move forward without faith. I am fully committed to this cycle being a success. We will deal with the results when we get them, but not a second before. We are moving forward with full confidence that God has made all this possible for us. Any of you that have been around for a while know that I had planned to stop after 3 cycles and then consider DE or adoption. Awww you are going to make me cry  You know what I truly believe now? God creates our miracles for us in HIS own time. As much as wait and wait, it's almost as if God tests our Faith in Him to see how we will react. After dealing with all the issues I had, having a SIL get pregnant with no issues during our struggles, having to do IVF and having it failed, troubles with my boss and then not knowing whether to find a new clinic for IVF or stay with the clinic we were comfortable with... then I was sooo sure the FET failed with only having 1 perfect embryo and 2 others that weren't that great. I prepared myself and was ready to do IVF again and felt stronger than ever to do it again.... well wouldn't you know that is when God decided to bless us. I dont know his reasons for anything, but we are all such amazing strong women and this room has been a blessing for me and I'm sure everyone else. When one person has a bad day, there are others to cheer her up and bring her spirits back up. Rhonda, I know you had said you would try 3 times and then quit... I believe there are signs from God and that he is helping you with these signs to tell you to try again. He is helping you stay strong and carrying you along this journey so you are not alone.

To me honest with you, I dont feel very strong this cycle. But again, I just leave my health and my life to God's will.

Hang in there sweetie. The flu is going to break eventually. I'm so sorry you are dealing with that during your IVF cycle. We are here for you to lean on! :hugs:

Yes, we are at His mercy and on His clock! Isn't it good though to feel loved and receive His blessings!!

Donna hasn't called me back since Friday and I'm giving her a little space. I've sent her texts and emails as encouragement and shared her everyone else's comments. I'm sure she appreciates it all. She will get through this in time, but we all know the healing is tough! So good to have so many people who can relate and who sincerely care about eachother.

The first thing I say in my prayer everytime I pray is "Thank you Lord for blessing us with this child" and then go on with my prayer to keep this baby healthy and safe and so forth. I rub my belly and think "wow, God is so wonderful and has truly blessed us" and I cannot wait for you to be blessed with a little bundle. DH and I are truly seeing more and more what a miracle this is... especially after having the U/S last week and seeing for the first time, this little child bouncing around inside of me and of course I dont feel a thing... it's just all so surreal and amazing. I wish all the IVF girls success in IVF, afterall it is such a difficult journey to go through and after all of that, every single one of you ladies deserves to have a miralce growing inside. :hugs:

Oh definitely, I think the only thing that helped me get through the failed IVF was all of you ladies here. The support and love was just so wonderful and helped me get through the hard stuff and move forward.

She needs time to get through it and I'm so happy you are relaying the messages through text for her. I'm sure she is happy to hear we are thinking of her and love her.

it's funny because when we were thinking about IVF, That was the one thing that worried me... that doing IVF would not be something God would want us to do and honestly, after alot of praying, I knew that God brought the opportunity in front of us.

Rhonda, YOU GO GIRL!!!! You are an inspiration with your strength and attitude. You can preach all you want and I just enjoy reading it and hearing it. God bless you!

Very well said on both accounts, ladies! I agree that it does come down to your personal faith and relationship with God. I couldn't have pursued IVF if I didn't pray about it a ton and feel that it was the right path for DH & I. I always remember that "God helps those who help themselves" and I honestly feel that applies to everyone TTC. I don't think God would stand in our way to be parents, even if we have to do some untraditional things to make that dream come true. :hugs:

How is Donna doing? Please send her my love :hugs: I am so sad for her and pray God helps her and strengthens her to deal with the disappointment.

Once again, well said, Dena! You ladies know my shock at finding myself pregnant naturally after 5 years of TTC'ing. I honestly believe it is because I stopped trying and left it up to God that this miracle happened. This was the first time in 5 years, I stopped stressing about getting pregnant and started focusing on appreciating everything else I had in my life. That was my New Years resolution - the first time in years that my resolution wasn't "To get pregnant this year". I realized that I did believe that we would get pregnant and have a baby, so I needed to stop worrying about when and how. I realized that I honestly believed God heard my prayers and wasn't keeping a baby from me for any reason, it just wasn't the right time. And now that I am pregnant, I feel as if I've been given a huge gift and my faith is reinforced even more. It was such a slight shift in my belief and perception, but it made a world of difference. Praying all of you receive your miracles soon.:hugs:

I pray it won't. I think stress & illness on our bodies can be a factor in the whole conception process, but worrying on top of feeling ill definately won't help! Best thing you can do is get better & take care of yourself since you are feeding the little-one-to-be:wub:. Hope you are better soon and wishing you nothing but sticky vibes!!!

My update 8dpiui---X posted.
We have decided after much deliberation and uneasiness with my current RE (who I've only been seeing since Dec) that we are going to be switching if i'm not pregnant this month.

It comes down to the wire though. . . bare w/me on this.

I don't want to switch to the new clinic if I am pregnant b/c my current clinic will monitor the pgcy for several weeks before sending me back to my ob/gyn. I have to give the new clinic a 72 hr notice before canceling so that would be this Friday since my appt is next Wednesday and wkends are excluded. Next Wednesday(my appt w/new clinic) I will only be 14dpiui so I am going to test on Sunday 12piui b/c I will have to know on Monday 100 % if I am going to have them(old clinic) transfer my medical records over. My lp is usually 15 days. I know this is all confusing but if it doesn't play out well it could cause a lot of stress & extra $$ on us. Also, my cycle should be starting middle to end of next week if i'm not pregnant so I would need to start new meds next weekend that I would more than likely have to order and need time for them to arrive, etc.

Reason i'm switching. . . Current RE only speaks in Medical lingo and doesn't ever really answer my questions, In addition to that; I believe from a discussion from an apa friend that lives in the area here that the new clinic would be a lot more beneficial to me considering my current clinic isn't open on wkends and made me wait an additional 3 days after my eggs were mature to do my iui this month.

Please Lord, I don't want to endure this any longer.

Melissa - And obviously you'll be able to test Monday morning (13dpiui) as well before calling the clinic to transfer records. Let's hope it's a moot point because you'll be getting your :bfp:. And yea, I thought that was crazy about them making you wait (not sure if I ever replied in the STC -A thread!) :luck:

Thanks for the welcome ladies! I sure wish my insurance covered at least SOME of the fertility treatments. It only covers diagnostic testing but I guess that's better than nothing, right? And we don't have credit cards (got rid of them years ago) so I am scrambling to get some cash for treatment.

Well I'm totally bored at work. Boobs are even more tender today & really starting to aggravate me! LOL

Had a great workout on Sunday and again last night. So looking forward to my acupuncture tomorrow late afternoon and another workout that evening. I am wondering if AF is trying to come on early. I had some cramping and sharp shooting pains today and even felt nautious for a few minutes this morning. I really wonder if the DHEA is doing all this to me. Just strange because I don't normally get noticeable PMS signs. I may know a few hours or even a day before AF for some dull cramping, but nothing like what I've been going through. Hurry up AF and come already! Not due until either 2/28 or 3/1, but this has been going on for days, so seems AF is on her way.

Think I'll take an early lunch so I can get a power nap in. Took a muscle relaxer last night to help with the neck & back pain. So sleepy! Those things stay in your system for a whole day. Gotta keep getting up & walking around!

Nice temp rise Christina!! Regarding Estradiol, here's some info:

Estradiol (E2) Day 3 25-75 pg/ml Levels on the lower end tend to be better for stimulating. Abnormally high levels on day 3 may indicate existence of a functional cyst or diminished ovarian reserve.

Not all docs will test for it but at my age they do.

Ya I guess I should have listened to my dh :winks:

Ok ladies, this week I am going to loose 1-2 pounds and each week I will loose another pound up until I start stims. I am mostly looking for the 'healthy feeling' more so than the dropped numbers on the scale (though that would be a plus:winks:). I just don't want to feel dumpy, lathargic, worthless and undeserving. I want to feel energized, light, strong, positive and fearless! :hooray::hooray:

Have a fertile day ladies!!!! :hugs: :babydust1: :babydust:

I'm in for cheers... we can help each other. I am now at 128 lbs and hoping to loose another 5 lbs. I am 5 ft 1 in. So I basically can't really eat anything :shocker:

Im a little bit emotional today.. maybe little cheese, but I want to dedicate this song to tonysmom and to the rest of you Ladies!

Ordinary Miracle, Sarah McLachlan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Urv7tyeJ7qE

that was very sweet... I guess I kinda agree that if IVF works for people it can only be God's will. Then why is the Catholic Church so against it.. I guess it's because of all the little babies frozen in time will all die eventually... thanks to Embryo Adoption program I guess!

Ok ladies, ER went well today, 6 eggs retrieved. So all three of my last IVF cycles have produced 6 eggs, lol I hope the third transfer is a charm! lol On pins and needles waiting to hear how they fertilize. We will be doing a 3dt on Friday. Keep sending the baby dust and sticky vibes please!

That's great. This is so exiting... I hope you get all of them fertilized... :cabbage: Grow embies grow!!

AFM: Acupuncture again tonight... my friend doing an FET had 3 embies and when they thawed them only one survived. So I guess when they will thaw 4 of mine each time I should expect 2 to die immediatly... so sad.

Hope everyone is doing well today!

So sorry you feel so crapy these days. Hope AF shows up or you get a nice BFP so everything gets better.

:hugs:

That's wonderful! I bet they all continue to divide perfectly:wub:. Transfer is around the corner!!

Nothing like mysterious symptoms to keep you on your toes! Have you read anything about DHEA increasing PMS symptoms? If it's meant to improve fertility and egg development, it makes sense it might give you some of AF's lovely symptoms too. Hang in there and maybe wear a sports bra to work tomorrow.:winks: Feel better!!:hugs:

Well, I just found that some of my recent symptoms are listed as less common side effects!!! I take 50mg per day. See below:

Side effects at high intakes (50–200 mg per day) appear to be acne (in over 50% of people), increased facial hair (18%), and increased perspiration (8%). In a preliminary trial, DHEA was also reported to induce less common side effects, including breast tenderness, weight gain, mood alteration, headache, oily skin, and menstrual irregularity in some people.

Just called RE's office to find out when my protocol starts and they can't tell me yet. :headbang: Should find out in the next week or so when I start BCPs.

Well, sounds like you are moving forward & before you know it you'll be shooting up some FSH drugs! :winks:

I'm 5'4" and 150.8 lbs! I have an athletic build and I've been told my higher weight is due to muscle mass, but I know there's plenty of fat to attribute to it also:eyeroll:. Well, luck to both of us on our weight loss! It's not easy in your 40's to drop pounds, but I know I'll see some results soon since I'm exercising more frequently. Gotta stay away from the chocolate! :ohno:

Well, it's a couple of things. If my FSH is high then that means I won't stim well (in theory.) However, if my E2 is high then it can falsely lower FSH so they do the tests together. If my FSH was done by itself and was low, it does not necessarily mean that I will stim well if it was low because of high E2 (that wasn't tested), kwim? Have I confused you enough yet?

It's all confusing but I understand LOL

I'm back in school and when the BIO teacher started going into proteins/hormones and all that stuff I was finally able to have a light bulb moment! Finally all the IF lingo clicked and made sense!

Good luck!!!! I can't wait to see what this cycle brings you.

If it helps to understand what Estradiol is, the opposite protein in men is testosterone. So understanding how E2 levels work in women help to understand any fluctuations in your own body and how the different levels make an impact.

(Does that make sense?)

My progesterone has always checked out fine, but my RE put me on it b/c she said it was something we hadn't tried before and it couldn't hurt. Turns out this cycle I needed it. My progesterone was only 17 when they tested after my first beta, and I had been on the progesterone since the IUI.

They found a gestational sac and a yolk sac but no fetal pole or heartbeat yet. She said she really didn't expect to see those this early on. My LMP was 1/14 so exactly 6 weeks ago today; however, I think I ovulated later. My HCG trigger was on CD16 and IUI was on CD17 but my temp didn't rise until CD19/20. I also had an "implantation dip" at 10dpiui, so maybe I implanted late too. I might not really be at 6 weeks. That's what I'm hoping anyway...

When I was scheduling my U/S, the nurse said not to schedule it until later in the 6th week, because they may not see a fetal pole early and she said literally it can start overnight, so every day really makes a difference. She was worried we would be freaked if we went in too early..So hang in there!!!!!! I am thinking good thoughts for you!!! I think its just too early yet!

Please say a prayer for her so God can help her through all of this. :cry:I'm so heartbroken myself because after all her struggles, she finally got pregnant and it was naturally.

Oh nooo! Sending lots of prayers her way.

Hey ladies. I just was texting Michele. She said she is having a D&C (is it D&C or DNC, I never know) on the 3rd. They aren't sure but the Dr's think it may have been a Downs Syndrome baby. I think whether the baby had Downs or not, it is super hard.

So please keep praying for her and she appreicates all the love and prayers. She will be able to try again in a few months. But now she just needs to heal and get past this.

DARN that DH's going out of town!!! Get in some good lovin tonight and if he's up for it in the morning before he leaves (or whenever before he leaves)

I don't know, I'm presuming its because I didn't O this cycle. The RE finally admitted that it was actually a possibility even though he and his nurses were very gung ho that simply because I took the trigger shot prior to IUI I MUST have ovulated. If you're up for a read check out my RE update post in STC.

I have no clue why. I haven't spoken/texted her since Friday. I told her to let me know if she needs anything. I'm sure she needs space. She did say they can try again in 2 months so at least she's thinking of trying again! And now we know she can get knocked up!!! So it will happen all in Gods time. I don't know why God allows miscarriages to happen but I can't imagine how hard it is. I mean just struggling to even conceive is so difficult. I can't imagine how Michele is feeling. It really sucks and I'm so sad for her. All we can do is pray.

Your appetite picking up might be from progesterone. The cramps being an AF symptom totally throw you off. My back hurt like hell during my wait. I didn't take any Tylenol or anything. It was awful! It seriously was worse than my af backaches! I told dh I better be pregnant with the darn backaches or I'd be really mad I had to suffer through them lol. I get awful backaches with af and these were way worse lol.

Well, it was as DH and I suspected. Negative. My HCG went down. So my RE thinks it may have been a chemical pregnancy. He has asked me to go ahead with some other blood tests to check a few things out. I didn't have a very good connection when I was speaking with him so I'll have to ask the nurses tomorrow what it is that he wants to check for.

Once we get those results back then we'll be deciding where to go for here. Most like will start IVF.

So, good luck to all you wonderful girls in your tww! Hopefully see you there soon again!

I'm just waiting on AF and she is taking her sweet time! 10 times out of the year, she is right on schedule. I guess this is an off month for us from taking the supplements. Once she comes, we call in to clinic and get instructions. They said I don't need to do day 3 labs this time, so seems I will simply start BCP once I call in 1st day of AF. We still are not 100% sure we will do April, but we have to make up our mind by time AF comes. I don't want to start BCP unless we are definately doing the April cycle.

I think DH wants me to wait. He thinks one of my friends has been stressing me out way too much and it's not a good time to start. We let her move in on 1/15 to stay in our spare bedroom upstairs next to our daughters room, but only for 3 months while she saves to get an apartment. She had lost her job a year ago and moved to her hometown which is about 2 hours away. After a year of no success job hunting in that city and being under major stress living with her mom, I decided to offer her a place at our home so she could look for work here. She got a job in a weeks time and we were thrilled for her. However, she is 33 and a divorsee (for 2 years). She married her high school sweetheart and they were together since age 18. So, the divorce was pretty tough and they haven't at all gotten over eachother. She got engaged twice since the divorce (on the rebound) and now she is looking for love in all the wrong places. My stress comes from having a single woman who is dating more than one guy live under the same roof as my 12 (soon to be 13) year old. She has three times taken guys upstairs to her room and I let her know after the first time that it was unacceptable around my daughter. We don't want those type of influences around our soon to be teen. Anyway, she seems to have a problem with authority and I'm on the verge of making her get her own place before her 3 months are up. Every time we give her an inch (let her bring her new guy over to hang out, meet everyone) she takes a yard! It's frustrating and I'm loosing patience. I never expected this friend of 7 years to do a 180 on me when I only reached out to her as a friend. I guess this is what it's like to be taken advantage of. I told her a after the fist incidence that I didn't want anything to put a strain on our friendship and so we talked through our concerns. She explained that she was younger and single and wanted to have a social life and I told her though I understood all that, she would have to live it outside of our home. I told her since this was a temporary arrangement, I figured she could put her limbido on hold and be respectful of my home & my family. She agreed and said she was wrong and it wouldn't happen again. Well, here we are on round three after only 45 days in my house. So, this is the reason DH thinks we should wait until her 3 months are up. I'm ready to boot her out and not put my life on hold. LOL

Hi ladies! Just got my CD3 results back. FSH is 13.1 and estradiol is 90. :pokey: Here's what it says on fertility plus (I think that's the name):

"FSH is often used as a gauge of ovarian reserve. In general, under 6 is excellent, 6-9 is good, 9-10 fair, 10-13 diminished reserve, 13+ very hard to stimulate.
Estradiol (E2) Day 3 25-75 pg/ml Levels on the lower end tend to be better for stimulating."

I have no idea if my doc will treat me with those numbers. :( We have an appointment Friday morning to discuss options. Rats, rats, rats! Any thoughts?!

Thanks ladies for listening. I just had that need to vent. I am pretty accomodating and reasonable, but I am also a Christian and a mother. Any responsible adult, regardless of age or status (parent or not) should know what is appropriate behavior around kids/teens. She is a good friend, but I've learned things about her behavior that I didn't know before she moved in with us. Her judgement is awful and she lacks self-respect. I don't want our daughter to pick up on any of those characteristics because her mom (me) is NOTHING like that! :winks:

Hi all, I haven't been on in a few days after being out of town. I tested Friday, 13dpiui, BFN. AF came the next day. So I am back on the same meds but this time I told my RE I want the progesterone suppositories instead of the hcg booster. Keeping :fingerscrossed: that this will be the cycle that works...

Best of luck to you. It's great that your RE is changing the progesterone to suppositories. One less thing to worry about.....:hugs:

Hi ladies! Just got my CD3 results back. FSH is 13.1 and estradiol is 90.

I had 8 follies on each side and the nurse said that was great! I feel a little lost in all this and the whole procedure. But I am trying to read and catch up on everyone!

Karen

Karen, your fsh is high, but i have read that it can change too, and that is why they would have to do a couple fsh tests to see if it stays up there, i dont think your out, i still think you have a chance at this, and i would insist that they give it a try.

Maria, I'm so sorry you are feeling depressed, sad, stressed and sick. I bet it's the hormones and the effects of the flu all together. Hang in there dear, only three more days. Wishing you postive vibes and a day of feeling not so blue:wub:...

I just called my nurse and asked how many cells the embies were that we transferred, its like pulling teeth trying to get info on them, I didnt get a technical grading but did find out they were 8,8,8,6 cell embies!! That helps with my anxiety! Im hoping at least one sticks!! I think I will POAS 14dpER, I got my BFP at that point and that will be next tuesday...one more week to go!! UGH

Still no AF, but it only happens when we're waiting on her! :eyebrow: Maybe tomorrow. In the meantime, how are our 2ww's feeling? Hoping you are having some encouraging symptoms that might indicate BFP. Either way, the wait will be over before you know it! Thinking about you gals!!:winks:

Quick update...I had 18 tubes of blood drawn today for all the tests my RE submitted. I can't even remember them all. I guess it will be a little while before we know anything. He wanted to do this before we decided to go on with IVF, to make sure I don't have any autoimmune diseases or thyroid problems and such. I guess whatever he could find under the sun!

Lots of prayers to all you girls for your BFP's!! Have a wonderful week.

thanks sweatheart, but to be honest and realistic, I don't think Im pregnant. Too much sickness this month. Anyway, Im prepared. I've been depressed but I know I was not that strong for this cycle. So that makes the acceptance easier. will keep you posted and thanks for your positive energy.
