Oopps I haven't had anything to drink today lol. I'm at the hospital outpatient services waiting lol. It's for the recurrent miscarriage panel. Wish me luck. I brought a granola bar for afterwards and an orange since I had to have an empty stomach.

Its very hard to tell, i swear our bodies play tricks on us, when i got pg in august, my bbs were soooooo sore, this time they are a little sore but nothing like they were. Ohhhh i hope its a good sign, your getting close, did you test the trigger out?

Ya, I really just think that this spotting is my AF showing up! AGGGGG ...
Now now, none of that negative thinking, think positive, when i got pg in august i had bleeding two days before they were doing the beta, so that would have been 4 days before af was due, and i got a bfp. Good luck!!

Well, another :bfn: for me today. temps are heading south and CM at cervix is tinged pink so AF should be here tomorrow, right on schedule. My next cycle will be unmedicated. I have found that back-to-back clomid cycles tend to give me cysts so I am skipping next cycle.

Well, I think my IVF (2) WW is over a little early. I started heavily cramping on Thursday, spotting on Friday and woke up bleeding today. Called RE and he said, "this isn't your period, your body is going through a lot of hormonal changes right now. Come in Wednesday for your beta". So there we go.
I have had a few breakdowns this weekend. I wanted this so badly.
Each day the crapming/spotting got worse then today the blood. I have a very short luteal phase (obviously) but I thought shooting up 1.5 Progesterone would help thicken me up and hold off a potential period.
I am calm now, and have made peace with whatever is happening. As my doc says, it isn't over till it's over. I believe in miracles, so I am calling all angels!!
Just know, I will be alright, no matter what Weds holds. I have a loving and supportive DH. He is my best friend. He told me we will sell our house if needed. We will pay whatever it takes to make me a mom. I don't care about the money we spent, or the pain, needles..etc. I just feel like we were so close and I will cherish the picture of our little embryos.
I am a woman, a daughter, a sister, a wife & a friend. I am a Sales Manager, a jogger and a loud belly laugher. I am a MOM-IN-WAITING. And so our journey goes on.
And this Mom-In-waiting isn't giving up. No way. No how.
I will keep you posted no matter the outcome. Thanks for your support. ~ K

Ohhh honey, you never know... It can mean anything. Just take it one day at a time. How long has it been since your transfer? Just keep praying for a miracle and I will keep praying for you too. I'm sorry for the spotting and now bleeding.
I love how strong you are staying, I know I had a hard time and told my DH I quit... then after all the crazy progesterone left my body, I was back on and knew I wanted to try again... Sometimes you just need a good cry and then you are ready to move on and keep fighting. We just have to be thankful for EVERYTHING we have been blessed with, our families, our wonderful amazing DH's, our faith in God. Just stay positive and I'm always here for you as is everyone else if you need to vent. :hugs:
You better keep us posted or I'll come find you

Good morning everyone... Hope you all had a good weekend. It rained here most of the day Sunday so we spent the day relaxing - that was nice!
So all of you in the 2ww how are you doing? I am wanting to POAS so bad, but I refuse to this time. I only have 2 days left so I guess I can make it and my husband does not want me to. He said he is going to believe I am pregnant until they tell us otherwise.
Are any of you having any symptoms? I cramped all last week and as of Sunday it stopped so who know. My BB are sore but they were before the transfer so I can't go off of them. Last week I would have said I was pg, however today I don't feel like I am... I know this all part of the IVF rollercoster.
Mominw8ting - please let us know the results when you get them. You are such an amazing women and your outlook and strenght should give us all encouragement! May God Bless you!

Anyway, this will happen. We are blessed with a loving family to support us. And I will be back on the horse soon. Maybe this new doc will know more about my Short Luteal Phase and perhaps have a way to make my lining nice and thick.
Thanks to you all. I will be in touch soon :) Good luck to everyone!

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: Stay strong. I know I caved and it was awful seeing that BFN. My clinic told me that one lady POAS and it was BFN so when she went in for her beta, she was telling them she knows she's not pregnant and then they called her to tell her that she was in fact pregnant!!!! I think it might have been the lady that had her retrieval and transfer with me, who knows. I just say don't POAS and stay strong. I know I'm definitely going to when we do the FET... I'm still hoping all goes well and I actually ovulate on time. lol. It was always so late before that I don't know what my body will do on a natural cycle now. lol.
Hey Serena, did you and your DH try the old fashioned way by BDing while O'ing? I know some people still try it, just curious if you did. And how did you decide on how many embabies to transfer? Were yours 3 day or 5 day? Sorry I forget. :winks: I'm definitely keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for your beautiful Thanksgiving BFP!

I was the one who had a neg hpt and positive hcg... It was only a 9 and dropped by the second test. I think getting told I was pg after a neg hpt was even worse, because I knew it was not going to stay... I was trying to stay hopeful but just knew all the same.
As fas as the old fashion way goes... No, we both have been altered so there is not hope of me getting pg that way. To be honest with you I wish I could just sleep the next 2 days away!

We always transfered the max... My 1st cycle was a 3DT and I only had 4 at that point 2 - 8 cell, 1 - 6 cell, and a 4 cell. I was praying that the 2 - 8 cell would make it....
Round 2 - on day 2 we still had 6 so the RE didn't know which ones to transfer so we waited for a 5dt. Too our suprise I had 6 still alive. We picked the best 3 and transfered 2 early blast and 1 mourula. The other 3 where still in the mourla stage. I just knew if I had any frosties then at least 1 of the 3 tranfered would make it. (Chemical pregnancy)
Only 2 of the 3 made it to becoming frosties... and so we transfered both of them back on the 16th. They where 6 day blast, which is considered slow and have a lower percentage.
Each case is different and until you are presented with what you have is when you make the decision on how many to transfer. I would love to have twins so transfering multiples to me was not a question.

Hi Ladies! I need some advice on what to expect with Clomid. I saw my OB on Friday and asked if he could put me on something to be a little more aggressive with things. I went of BCP in June 08 and we had our first pregnancy Nov. 08 and had a D&C in December. I had a second very early loss in May 09. Since then my DH have timed intercourse well and I O on my own with temping and charting but no luck.
My OB told me to call when AF showed which happened to be today. I am starting Clomid on Wednesday till day 7. I think they are starting me on a low dose. My OB did not have much time to discuss side effects and what to expect. He is hoping that it will boost my O a little big and I usually O between CD 16-21.
I guess I want to know what to expect with it and side effects. Someone told me to take it before bed because of hot flashes.
Thanks ladies for your help.

They should be starting you on 50mg. Not all women have s/e from clomid. I never get s/e from 50mg and I get headaches when I take 100mg, but they only last two days. I take my clomid in the morning with my vitamins. I have heard that taking it at night can help with s/e but since I don't get them I just take it in the morning. :luck: to you and sorry for your losses. :comfort:

Hi ladies!
Hope you all had a nice weekend.
I'm on DAY 10 of stim's. Went for u/s and b/w this morning. I have 13 follies on the right/12 on the left. They are all about 18, so my Doctor is pretty confident I'll stim one more day, trigger tomorrow and ER for Thanksgiving! Well, that gets me out doing dishes I guess, right? LOL. We are hosting Thanksgiving at our house but my parents will watch the bird while we go to the ER. All our friends are bringing the sides so we don't have to do much.
Serena- Don't POAS!!!!! I know its tempting, but you are soooo close. You are in my prayers for a BFP!!!

Thanks!! I'm excited too! I am going in to this ER/ET a lot more confident. I think just knowing what to expect makes it easier.
I have always responded well to stim's, even in my IUI days and on a fairly low dosage too. Last cycle I had about the same. When it came to retrieval, they only retrieved 16.
I just spoke to my nurse. My estrogen is at 1844 and lining is at 12.7. They are pleased. I go back tomorrow for another u/s and b/w and we'll see from there if I will trigger tomorrow or if they push me even one more day.

I'm so sorry the embies didn't make it to freeze, but that may just mean they are better off inside mommy than in a petri dish. I wouldn't worry so much about the ones you transferred. They have a better chance for survival now that they are with you, so relax and don't jump to conclusions!

Technical Question Ladies: It has taken me all day long to sign into this thread! :headbang: I keep getting the following messge when I click on "IVF SISTERS" on the forum selection page:crazy::
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32471 bytes) in /home/amerpre/public_html/forums/showthread.php on line 1231
Does anyone have experience with this? I've already contacted APA tech support and am waiting for a response. I can sign into other forums, just not this one. (on a regular basis anyway). I've tried using different browsers and nothing seems to work. Any thoughts?:headscratch:
Since I might not be able to sign in for a while, good :luck: with all your tests, blood work, stimming, scans, ERs and ETs! I'm praying for us all, even if I can't sign on and tell you so. Have a great weekend! :winks:
I thought I was the only one that happens to. It's a pain in the butt, but my posts always make it on when that happens. I just have to sign in all over again. It's like getting kicked out. I usually hit the back-arrow and then log out. I close my browser & then get back on. It's a pain, but I do what I gotta do to keep up with my sisters!! LOL

Well Numbers for today are 2975!!! Awesome!!!
U/S on Tuesday
Thanks for all the support ladies!!!
:hooray::hooray: I can't wait until tomorrow!! PLEASE don't keep us waiting...we want to hear all about the u/s!!
Had u/s and b/w today.
Estrogen: 897
Lining: 12.4
Right in line where I need to be on Day 8.
Staying on 150 Follistim/75 Menopur. Morning 5 units of Lupron.
Follow up appointment Monday. Should have a better idea on Monday when my ER is. I'm thinking its going to be Thursday.
Jenn, everything sounds PERFECT:wub:. Sounds like you will have an awesome retrieval, but I hope you're feeling well to enjoy your family & Thanksgiving! KUP on trigger & retrieval.

I have news though. We FINALLY decided on a clinic!!:hooray: I'm so stinking excited!! We are going to start blood work next month and hopefully get knocked up in January or February!!:bellyrubs::cabbage::hooray: Can you tell I'm a little bit exited? I love my male IVF nurse and the doctor is great too....only he's not as good looking as the nurse....ooops,did I say that out loud?
Yay!!! Congrats on finding your clinic & starting your IVF journey in January! You will have some wonderful & experienced cycle buddies!!
I did ok. It ended up being 11 vials of blood. Glad it's over. My arm is sore from the guying up my arm lol. He also had to readjust the needle to get more blood at the 10th and 11th vial lol. I survived, no biggie. 1 week to 10 days to get the results in.
OUCH!! Glad you survived the blood loss. Please KUP when the results are in. Hopefully you have your BFP around that same time:wub:.
Oh Kate, don't give up sweetie. I am very hopeful that the spotting/bleeding is just a sign of pregnancy for you. At least you get to know Wednesday instead of waiting until after the holiday. I pray you get a positive...:hugs:
So all of you in the 2ww how are you doing? I am wanting to POAS so bad, but I refuse to this time. I only have 2 days left so I guess I can make it and my husband does not want me to. He said he is going to believe I am pregnant until they tell us otherwise.
Are any of you having any symptoms? I cramped all last week and as of Sunday it stopped so who know. My BB are sore but they were before the transfer so I can't go off of them. Last week I would have said I was pg, however today I don't feel like I am... I know this all part of the IVF rollercoster.
It's definately that!! I know how hard it is to not POAS, but you are so close...just two more days (or 1.5 anyway)! I can't wait:wub:. We'll just keep you busy online tomorrow & then Wednesday will be here!

Hi ladies,
Hopefully, I'll be in this thread for real this time. My last "IUI" was a no go since I didn't respond to the Clomid. I just starting taking prometrium on Saturday, so hopefully AF comes around December 1st. Praying for an IUI in mid December and a BFP for New Years!
Good luck ladies!!!

It's been so quiet in here. Kate, how are you doing honey? Has the bleeding stopped? When is your beta? Wednesday right? I think you and Serena are both getting betas done Wednesday...
Ok Serena, you are my inspiration here... We have to see a BFP for you so you can help me get positive about this FET. COME ON Serena's BFP!!!!!! :cabbage:
I am a lazy bum today. Didn't go to work and I ran some errands, cooked and I am just so exhausted! I tried to take a nap and got maybe an hour in, if that. Its getting gloomy and cold here, I'm pretty sure that's my problem these days plus the fact that it's dark at 5:30. yuck!
Rhonda, when is your consultation Appt? You'll have to keep us updated.

Happy Monday everyone!
Mominw8ting: I’m keeping you in my prayers. You’re beta is almost here. I’m hoping it is great news for you!
Cynderella4: Sorry your embies didn’t make it to freeze. Know it has nothing to do with the 2 beautiful embies you’ve transferred. Stay positive!
Pinkgirl: I’m glad your blood tests are over. Hope the results bring you good news. Thanks for the insurance info – I’ll check it out. I’d choose switching insurance if I can and stay with my doctor rather than trying a new clinic with “shared risk – I love my doctor. But then again, if I’m choosing something, I choose to be pregnant! Wish it were that easy!
Jenn: Sounds like your stimming is picture perfect! Good luck with ER this week.
Briana143: Great numbers! Congrats! Good luck with the u/s tomorrow.
Rhonda – Thanks for letting me know you’ve had the same experience with the website. I’m currently typing this message for the second time after being booted off after trying to post this 10 minutes ago. But you are right – it is all worth it to hear how everyone is doing and lend my support!
Sagan8: Be Strong! Only 2 days left!!
Cakegal: Congrats on finding a clinic! If all goes well with me, I’ll be starting a cycle in January, too!
I hope you are all doing great and wishing you all luck on where ever you are in your cycles (even if you are just saving up to pay for it like me). I hope you all enjoy the shorter work week!
Question: anyone know anything about switching insurance to a policy that covers IVF? Is it possible for me to switch now, even if I've already had one procedure? I'm calling companies around later this week, but just curious...thanks!

Argh. Unfortunately. My RE wants me to finish the "Clomid protocol" before trying Femara. I hope it works. The last time I jumped up in dosage, I end up with 3 huge follies.

Hey Dena - Remember you are still getting rid of all the lovely hormones out of your system. I was exhausted for a few weeks after my Oct. IVF. Glad you took the day off and lazed around. Be patient with yourself and your body - you'll get your old energy back soon. Esp. when you start your FET cycle! :winks: I'm stuck at work and it's been super slow. I hope it stays this way all week, but with my luck, I might have to work on Friday  Rumors of two big projects coming in tomorrow. yuck. Have a great night! m

Hi Girls,
Jenn
You are doing Great. YOu are going to have the most special babies created on Thanksgiving day.
kate and Sagan: Hold on and I am praying for you guys..
Pink: Hope you get all the testing done before your FET. Good Luck Girl.
AFM: Long story girls.. As you all know, my body makes one follicle which is kind of large on CD3 (whether medicated or non-medicated). However, my estrogen levels come out normal. My antral follicle count was at 12 and 6 of my follicles grew great with one of them being the large one.
Last wednesday(Day 6 of stims), my RE saw this large follicle and he was concerned that I could have ovulated. With the grace of Almighty, I had not ovulated, I continued 2 more days of stims. On day 6,7,8 my E2 as well as my progestrone level was checked to ensure I had not ovulated. They really took care of me and I love my docs.
On Day 8 of stims(the 5 follicles were all of the correct size) and the 6th one was the large one at 26mm and I had still not ovulated.. SO great. I triggered friday night. Looks like I am not a poor responder as folks who respond poorly have high doses of meds. I was on the least dose of follistim and menopur. But due to the 1 large follicle, the doc cud make only 6 follicles grow.
I had my ER yesterday. As expected I had 6 eggs. The embroyologist said, I had 5 mature and the 6th one was half way there.. I prayed really hard last night for the 6th one.
This morning I got a call from the Embryologist saying the 6th one landed up maturing and all 6 fertilized. :hooray:
So my E2 level for 6 follicles was 1606 on the day of trigger(in par with the no of follicles I guess).
Lining was at 11mm.
I have come this far only due to the grace of my dad(who is no more) and the Almighty. Everyday for the last 10 days the RE said the cycle would get cancelled if the large follicle ovulates... It has been very rough and I somehow got through it.
As of now I am scheduled for a 5DT on Friday unless something changes with the embies.
Praying for my 6 embies. I am in love with them already.
This IVF cycle is very rough and everyday is different. We all are brave women to go through it...I am still taking it a day at a time and trying to see what God has in store for me.

Well surprisingly I've had alot of energy up til today. I have stayed pretty busy been trying to get back into the hang of cooking and baking like I used to, just today was rough. I still had a ton of errands to run to get ready for Gobble Gobble day dinner. I'm so happy DH and I are staying home for thanksgiving. I really can't be around people right now, especially people that know how to push my buttons. and as happy as I am for my SIL, I just can't be around her right now. I know it's a happy time for her and I'm not happy with myself so I'd rather just shut myself out and stay away, this way I don't get more sad/depressed.
I go back to work tomorrow and I'm sure I'll be bored out of my mind. It's better than sitting home I guess. I wish I had a month off work. lol. That would be so nice.
Sorry I dont know about switching insurances. I have mine thru my work.

I completely understand about having trouble being around your SL. It is hard to be happy for people sometimes when it is easy for them and not for you. But I also know from what I've read here that while you might feel a little down now, you do a pretty good job of staying positive and looking to the future. Not an easy thing to do! And reading your posts have certainly helped me when I've been feeling blue. I think it's a great idea that it will be just you and DH for Turkey Day. Sometimes the best thing is to lay low 'til that feeling passes. Circle the wagons, girl! Hope your work day is nice and easy for you tomorrow.

I'm actually having the problem with the progesterone shots too. I stopped them over a week ago, My DH had some strong steroid cream that I've been using and it's been soooooo itchy but this cream is helping. Let me know what your Dr/nurse tells you about the rash please? I haven't called my clinic about it but it's itchy itchy itchy!
Yay for your ultrasound coming right up. Can't wait to hear all about it. Good luck!

Well ladies 1 more day and it's beta time.... I was going to POAS tomorrow morning, but I have decided to wait until I get my call. I figure this way I only have to go through the results once and they will be the real thing. I have not given up faith and I believe if it is in Gods plan it will be. I want to thank all of your for your support during this time I would not have made it without my APA Sister's. I am thinking we all need to schedule a cruise together! We can all get matching T'shirts LOL!
I was on my way home last night and my car would not go above 35 and then bamm! it would kick and off we would go... I met my SD in town and she took me home and my DH pick up my car today. We are thinking the transmission went out. We'll see... The car is paid off so it figures it will break! :pokey:
You know as long as I am on a soap box of some sort... I think I will also add in I am so tired of my self centered kids and step kids who are so againist my DH and I having a baby together. Some times I feel like there are so many people who do not want us to have a baby their will is over powering ours. Does anyone else have to deal with this?
Stacie - you know we are waiting on the u/s results - on pins and needles to see if you have twins in there!
Pray2God - What a blessing your ER was... I sure hope all of them make it to day 5 for you. How many are you going to transfer?

I'm sorry about everyone being against you. We don't have kids but I feel like friends/family are against us... I am the first of my friends to want a baby and I feel like nobody understands and everyone is so focused on themselves and get mad at me for not wanting to be around them or going to their parties. I also feel like my in-laws, even though I know they love me, I feel like my SIL cursed me and jinxed me because of all her stupid comments she used to make about not wanting me pregnant before her and all this BS.... Well, she is pregnant now and I still can't get pregnant! I hope she is happy. I will never forget those words she said to me. I forgave her and know she probably didn't mean it, but now that I'm the one having problems, I can never forget those words. I know how hurtful it is for others to be against you, trust me I know, we just have to move past it and remember that the Lord will bless us and we need to move past what others say to us.
I'm praying for you and can't wait to hear the good news!

Question: anyone know anything about switching insurance to a policy that covers IVF? Is it possible for me to switch now, even if I've already had one procedure? I'm calling companies around later this week, but just curious...thanks!
I have no experience with changing ins co. BUT I would think that you start over clean slate. Why would they have to know if you had any previous IVF' or this was the beginning of all that? I would certianlty shop around and see who had better coverage.
Hi Girls,
AFM: Long story girls..
UMA!!!!! WOOT :hooray: that is great!
[QUOTE=Sagan8;1056836377]Well ladies 1 more day and it's beta time....
STEP AWAY FROM THE STICK!!! Serena you have waitied this long don't cave and POAS!
Sorry about the car that sucks.
Ok may I be perfectly blunt here( I will anyway and pardon me if I offend) Screw the stepkids & kids(or anyone else for that matter), they have NO right to dictate your choice to have a baby together. Yes I know it is a much more delicate situation than that but jeez!!! You and DH have been through soooo much and you deserve to have whatever you want as far as your family size!
Don't let them overpower what is in your heart! :hugs:

AFM, I'm doing alright. Other than being tired, I don't feel too bad. I'm more scared of going to the bathroom and seeing blood! It sounds stupid, I know, but after 5 losses, I just can't believe this is going okay. :dunno:

Uma, this is such a happy ending to your stims! I am so relieved everything went well and then the icing on the cake that the less mature egg actually matured & fertilized. Great signs for strong embies! Now lets just get through the next 4 days as they develop & await transfer back to mommy!

I bet it feels like only a few weeks ago you had a retrieval and here you are again!! Sometime I feel like I'm reliving my cycle through everyone. It's weird, but when someone is doing their trigger or their first PIO, it makes me recall my experiences like it was yesterday. We are all dying to hear how many eggs you get and how they do. As Kim says, DO NOT TENSE UP. That is the best advise for IM shots. They hurt like hell if you don't relax the muscle. I usually put an ice pack on the injection site for 3+ minutes before administering the shot. After the shot, use a warm compress and massage the spot as this will allow the oil to break up and it won't be as sore. Expect bruises!

Or paranoid! Ha Ha!! It being a holiday I'd want to be extra cautious:winks:. My brother told be before I started IVF to get to know the embryologist as he/she is even more important than the RE! I think he brought up a good point. The embryologist better have lots of experience and steady hands. He/she also better not be coming in from a late night (especially one that involved alcohol)...and it helps that they are not aggitated or in a pissy mood. LOL

I have made it a priority in my clinic search to meet all the embryologists. These people are going to make my babies,I want to see them. Sounds silly but I don't get the pleasure of only me and my husband making babies so these people are going to have to live up to my standards.....
On that note,I have come up with an idea. Like I said, most people get to baby make in privacy and passion.I'm rather jealous actually. So during my procedures I want them to play Marvin Gaye, you know so I can pretend it's the real thing:silly:

Is it really possible to spot/bleed and still be pregnant? Sorry. I guess I am still holding out hope. You never know. I just saw this message. I guess I have never heard of that before. Thank you again for all of your support :)
Yes, its very possible. I have a friend that had spotting her entire pregnancy. There is also a chance of 'implantation spotting' when the embryo implants in the uterus.

I am so praying for a Christmas gift for you of a bfp, i have a special train for all you ladies its a Christmas BFP train, and your seat is reserved. As for good sperm i highly recommend FertilAid for men, that worked wonders for my dh, he took it for a couple of months, and then we did this iui, I also think its what made the difference for me, i think the FertilAid boosted the egg quality for us to get Itty.

Hi everyone!
Thank you ALL for your well wishes.
I just did my trigger shot promptly at 8:45pm. This was my first time doing Pregnyl; in the past I have done Novarel. I always get so nervous if I did it right. DH was so nervous giving me the shot. He's done it enough, he should be a pro at it now:laugh:. But I always get so nervous, did I get all the of it in the syringe and hope that I have a good batch.
Its so funny, we always have back up med's but when it comes to the all importanat "trigger", you usually just have 1 on hand. What if something goes wrong or the bottle breaks. Here's me being paranoid again and I already did the shot. I guess by tomorrow I'll start feeling things rocking and rolling down there for assurance knowing that I did it right.
ER is set for 8:45am on Turkey day. We have to be there at 7:15am.
Thank you again for all the prayers and well wishes!

Well I had my blood work done this morning however, my husband and I did a HPT this a.m. we thought it would be better to be together when we got the news and it was a BFN. So, I guess we are out. I told him the HPT measure 20 and above so even if it comes back with a + then it will probably end like last time. I was pretty upset to be honest I just knew I was pg this time. I am doing alright now, just dreading the call a little later today.
I don't want my results to get anyone down. I knew our odds where not the best going into this. I do ask you guys that I have grown close too to keep me updated on you and your little ones when they are born.
I love all you - My IVF sister!
As for the next step for us? As they say as one chapter in our lives comes to an end another one opens. I am eagerly waiting to see what is ahead for us. I possible will be working for a company that I think will have IVF coverage, if that works out then I will do another round. If not there is a little girl and boy I would like to look into adopting. I have attached a picture of them. Either way it goes I will be a hanging around for awhile. I have gotten to comfortable here. :hugs:

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: I'm soooo sorry! I hope and pray that HPT is false. I'm so sorry honey. I know how you feel as far as feeling like you are pregnant and then getting that BFN. I pray the Lord helps you thru this. I'm sure you are still in shock more than anything. Just have a good cry and let it all out. I know how hard it is. Trust me, I am not too positive about my FET cycle and I'm sure I'm going to be negative about the whole thing. I really don't think it's going to work but only God knows the answer to that... Doesn't mean I will not try it.

Just got back from RE's office. The fetus measured normal for 6wks and we even saw a cardiac flicker. The sac is small for 6 wks and he said it could be normal or abnormal pregnancy so we have to wait and see. The next ultrasound should tell us a lot.

I cannot believe it. I know we still have a long road ahead of us but I dedcided to enjoy this moment to the fullest and only be positive.
I could never have got through this without going  unless I had all the support you girls have given me.

Pink, don't be scared. I was going to take a picture of the pink cards that Mary is holding this w/e at church. But I was afraid my flash would disrupt the homily :P I am sure that would have looked odd. I will take it though. She is still holding them. It is a sign for you. I know it. Don't be scared. What did your doc tell you?
Did you get any test results back yet?
Also, when it doesn't work out, do they look for reasons?
When are your stims starting? I forget.
Lol, I forgot all about the Mary with pink cards, you are so sweet. :hugs:
Well I went to the Endo and only got 2 of my 11 test results so far. My thyroid was elevated before meds and was controlled as of September, it was perfect but now it's super low and the Dr thinks it was because of the IVF meds I was on and the stress on my body from IVF. So she is just having me take half the dosage on Sundays. My prolactin is perfect now, that's what messed up my O days so hopefully once I O, I will have transfer 5-6 days after.
I am not on any meds right now. I am doing a natural frozen embryo transfer cycle which means all I will be on is antibiotics, medrol and progesterone shots after O. As long as I O on my own naturally, we will for sure be all set with a transfer between Dec 6-13. I am on CD 8 today, which means I better take an O test when I get home. lol. I'm slacking already here.
The Dr didn't look for reasons. She just said not all embryos make a baby... but she did say if I did a fresh new IVF, then she would change up my meds and probably not stimulate me so fast in the beginning. I am hoping it all works out, I am leaving it all in God's hands again and if it's not our time, it's not our time. :winks:

Stay away from the stick and just enjoy being preg until your last day and then POAS if you want to... If it is neg. it is too heart breaking! Did you do a 3dt or a 5dt? If you did a 3 then yes it is way to early!

Hi All,
Just wanted to tell you how my appt went with the dr. okay first off I have to say I wish I started going to him years ago! He is very positive and wants to move quickly to get me pregnant! He put DH on clomid and they are working on getting him another medicine some type of shot, we need to get insurance approval first. I have to wait until AF shows next then I will be going in for BC until the following cycle in the end of December/beginning of January time frame, once that happens, I will go in and get all of my meds and set up all the appts for retrieval and insemination. So looks like I will be moving to IVF in January :hooray: wish it was sooner but January isn’t that far away and after 3 years it helps to have hope. They also took 14 vials of blood :ohno: not fun and they did a ultrasound everything looks good I had some pretty big follies in there they counted 6 total on the left side they also set up DH for a couple sessions of acupuncture.

Kate, I'm so sorry honey. I was hoping the spotting was pregnancy signs. Please know I am here for you. I am still struggling and it is hard but I'm trying my best to move on. You will probably need some space because I know that's what I needed, if that's what you do need, it's okay... Don't think anything is wrong with you. This was something big and it is hard. Just take it easy and wait to see what you will do at your next Dr appt. Please let us know when your appt is and keep us updated. :hugs: :hugs:

Ohhhhh how exciting to see that flicker, i am so praying the next time you go it will be nice and strong, now i am more excited for tues for me i will be 6 weeks, and hopefully i will see something too. Prayers are still going out for you and tons of sticky stuff too :hugs:

They had a potential transfer date for today, but said that we will probably be moved to a 5DT. They just called and said all 8 of our beautiful embies are growing and we are moved to a 5DT. I am soooo happy.
So Tuesday is the day!!!
This is exactly how I wanted this cycle to go.
I pray, pray, pray for my BFP!!!!!

Hi! My Dr. said that he was running these tests to rule out any implantation problems with me. I thought I'd had every test run they had out there, but clearly, they've got a few tucked up their sleeves. There seems to be nothing wrong so far and he said just to do these on the outside chance something comes through. From what I understand, you can run these on any day, but I emailed my GP, who will be giving me the tests to see what she says. I'll let you know the results as soon as I get them. Kinda nervous...
Thank you for the info. I have had some testing done, but I'm sure there is A LOT to do yet. I have to talk to RE soon and see what the next plan is, if we do testing before next IVF attempt, or not.
Pink - (I love calling you that.)You are such a super trooper with your bloodwork. I can't believe your FET is almost here. I agree that triplets are risky, but for me, I'd transfer 3 in a heartbeat (did last time). My regular DR told me to stop dreaming of twins, too, because that can be risky as well. Lots of people do it, though, and very successfully, so I will be happier than ever if I end up with 1, 2 or 3. More than that is a bit excessive, though.. I in no way want to be an Octomom!
Briana - AWESOME!! So excited for you! :bellyrubs: And TWINS! OMG!!
Rhonda & Donna - Thanks for being my :cheer:! I think my cycle is being pushed back a week because of DH's work schedule, but that is still ok for me. I just want to get the ball rolling. I thought AF would come this weekend, but no sign of it anywhere. :eyebrow:
Donna, what happened with your consult?
I am thinking of starting IVF w/donor egg in January 2010 and was wondering if the meds they give you for IVF have been known to cause weight gain? Anyone have this issue? Thank You.
Good Luck Ladies:babydust1:
I didn't really gain weight, but I stopped exercising so much this year because every time I kept thinking I was going to be PG, and now I just feel out of shape. I definitely got bloated, though. The meds will do that, but it passes.
Well Ladies I had my ultrasound today and yes it was too early to see a heartbeat but I was prepared for that but I did get to see my TWINS
I cannot believe it. I know we still have a long road ahead of us but I dedcided to enjoy this moment to the fullest and only be positive.
I could never have got through this without going  unless I had all the support you girls have given me.
OMG!!! Congratulations! :cabbage: I can't wait til the update when you hear the heartbeat!! KUP!
We all have to wait a little longer....U/S slated for Dec. 7th!
I'm dying for the 7th to come. I can't wait to see what you have cooking in there. :winks:
I just got my call from the RE and it was BFN...
Serena - I'm so sorry. :comfort: I hope that your job changes and you can give it another try, or that you can adopt those adorable kids.
We just got the call negative. Thank you for all of your support. We will be back on the train in no time. Now it's time for happy hour. I need a tall glass of wine :)
Mominwaiting - I'm so sorry for you, too. It's so hard, and I feel your pain. I hope you had a tall glass of wine, or a few. I've been there.
Jenn - Congrats on the successful retrieval and I'm praying for your super transfer on Tuesday!!! You are almost there. Sending you tons of :babydust:!!
Ladies, here is my update:
Out of my 6 embies, 4 were at expanded blasto-cyst stage :hooray:, 1 was in morula stage :eyebrow: and 1 arrested :ohno:.
We transferred 2 perfect blasto-cysts, and froze the remaining 2 blasto-cysts and 1 morula (which would have turned into a blasto-cyst today)!!
Beta is on Dec 8th... can't wait!
Congrats on the successful transfer!! :babydust1: Can't wait til the 8th!!

Just got my fert report.
19 eggs retrieved
13 mature
8 fertilized!!!!
We are soooo happy with these numbers. Last cycle we had 16 retrieved/10 mature and only 3 fertilized. So we are doing much better already. Obviously its quality or quantity and hoping these are 8 strong embies beginning to grow!!
 Praying for your embies to grow, and grow, and grow......

but then i see, hear, and read so many stories of successful iui's and that gives me hope!

Have you tried peppermint tea? I start drinking it on the last couple of days I that take the prometrium. It's supposed to help induce AF. I went a few days post pill for AF to start (unusual for me), and after that I stick to the peppermint tea. Now AF arrives on the last pill day or the day after.
Tomorrow is my last pill, so hopefully your AF and my AF will make plans to show up together and then we can be cycle buddies :)

Honey, be excited, i know my first IUI failed also, but the second one worked, unfortunatly because of my age that one did not work, so then we took a break for a bit and did another IUI and we have Itty. Dont give up hope, i know a lot of women that IUI's do work, but a lot get their bfp on the second one!!

I'll probably keep checking back to see how all of you are doing, but I might not be on this thread much until we figure everything out to get back on the IUI train. Good luck to all!!!

Yeah I don't want to be an octomom either. lol. I would like to keep my sanity over here. I survived all the BW. I will be bugging them to give me my results today. I didn't ask this morning because the other Dr was there but when the nurse calls with todays results, I'm going to see if she can tell me what's going on with those tests my Dr ran. I know the results are in because last Tuesday my Endo looked up my prolactin and TSH and she said all my labs were in but couldn't give me the results. We will see. I'm thinking everything is fine. I'm really not worried.
So where are you at in your cycle? You are doing a January IVF right?

Donna, I miss you too. How are you doing? You are on board for the January IVF right? I pray all goes well for you and Rachel. :hugs:
AFM: Well, I am super dooper excited!!!! I produced an eggie all on my own! Today was CD13 for me and I went in for U/S and BW and I have a follie on my right side at 17mm, the Dr was pleased with this and said it was great. I seriously thought I was going in and there wouldn't be anything today. I was freaking out the last few days. lol. Silly me. So They will call me later to let me know when I should trigger depending on my blood levels. I have an Ovidrel at home so they do want me to trigger to time everything right for FET. So I am assuming my transfer will be either next Mon-Wed depending on when I trigger. Now the part I need help on, I really want to transfer 3 embryos but DH is freaking out. I know in my heart all 3 won't stick but he is terrified of the thought of 3 babies or the thought of us miscarrying 3 babies. I don't know what to do or say to get him to change his mind. I guess I've read enough FET stories where people did transfer 3 embryos and produce 1 baby.... so in my thinking, what if we transfer 2 and none make it but that third would have produced a baby. It's crazy because he acts like it's all up to me to make the decision but when I tell him what my decision is, he freaks out. lol. It's a lose lose situation for me.

We had the same problem. When we got to the Dr for transfer, the Dr came into the room with a picture of 3 embryos. My husband was not in for triplets, and I wasnt in to do selective reduction, therefore we told the Dr to pick the best 2 and we only transfered 2 that day. Ends up, none of the rest of the embryos made it to freeze, so that third wouldnt have implanted anyway. Its a really tough decision but look at it that the third will have to make it to freeze anyway so you will have that one for another round if the 2 dont stick and if it doesnt, it most likely wouldnt have stuck anyway. Good Luck! :hugs:

Good morning everyone. Sitting in my office with the door closed . DH had a conference call so I went ahead to the RE appointment. I've been to this particular RE office several times; in 2008 I had a SonoHSN and bloodwork. I arrived 30 minutes early and the nurse saw me right away. She started to draw the blood.........and NOTHING!!! She poked my right arm about 4 times and my left arm about 3 times. A different nurse came in and tried my wrist. She was successful but was only able to get 3 of the 6 vials filled. I burst into tears and couldn't stop crying. The doc came in and asked if they were taking good care of me. That made me smile and I felt a little bit better. He reasurred me that the 3 vials of blood were the most important ones. The rest could be done later and would determine blood type and other stuff. No ultrasound today, that will be done in the next 10 days. I am scheduled for a HSG on 12/7 at the hospital. Wrist is bruised and burning. Still crying, I just don't know why......

Thanks hun... Well I had 6 frozen embryos... All 6 made it to freeze on a 5day transfer... So they are blastocysts at least. I'm assuming all 6 are strong since they all made it to freeze but I still want to transfer 3. We'll see what DH and I talk about the next few days.
I'm still waiting for the call.... Now I want to know what's going on to find out when I can trigger.

Ohhh Big :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: I'm so sorry for all the poking and proding. I'm glad they at least got the 3 important vials and if the Dr said it's not that important to get the other ones, it's okay. I had to get 11 vials last Saturday and let me tell you, I was shocked that I had that much blood come out... It got really slow starting at vial 10 but he still got it. lol. Just relax and think of how much easier the next 3 vials will be. :hugs::hugs:

:hooray: Congratulations! :hooray:
Good morning ladies!
I am sooooo excited we were moved to a 5DT! Yesterday we waited for them to call; finally got thru to someone and all 8 embies were still dividing.
Jenn, what WONDERFUL news! :) I'm praying like crazy for your :bfp:!
Dena, :hooray: yay for getting ready to ovulate! :hooray: I can't believe you're almost to transfer again! :)
Amy - :luck: on the US Monday!
AFM - I had my BW/US appointment this morning and my lining is 9.9! :hooray::hooray: I'm soooo excited about this because for the last cycle it was only 6.9 and my RE likes it to be 7 or above. I really think that the acupuncture has really helped this time! I'm going to stay positive this time because I just KNOW that I'm going to get pregnant!
RE's office will call me this afternoon with the exact time of my transfer, but here is my schedule:
12/3 - Start PIO injections
12/8 - Transfer
12/22 - Beta
I hope I didn't miss anyone. :luck: to everyone and thanks for all the encouraging words! I wouldn't be able to do this without all your support!
One week to go...thanks for the good luck!
:hooray: Yay for a beautiful lining! :) And starting stims this week, SO exciting!

Cynderella4 - :hooray::hooray::hooray: Congrats on the BFP!

Serena / Kate - I'm so sorry. I'll be praying for both of you.
tonysmom2001 - Congrats on finding a good doctor that you like and getting a plan!
Jenn - :luck: tomorrow! That's so great that 8 fertilized!
Uma - I'm so glad that your transfer went well and you transferred two beautiful embryos! Try to relax and not stress during the 2WW! Your beta is the same day as my transfer!
Sandy - and with your cycle! You have definitely come to the right place. These ladies are wonderful!
Rachel - I hope AF shows soon for you. Is your next cycle scheduled for Jan?
Sobe - :luck: with your appointment today. KUP!
Dena - I hope that all your test results are good. Congrats on O'ing on your own! :hooray: :luck: on your transfer next week! Mine is scheduled for Tuesday, so I'm so glad that we can be cycle buddies this time. We will have to try to keep each other from going  during the 2WW!

YAYYAYYYYY!!!!! I can't wait to be cycle buddies. Who would have known that we'd be together. :winks: Yeah, I gave up on Acupuncture. lol. I sort of am not being very positive about this either.... I am just really terrified of getting so devastated again. I really thought IVF was going to work and when it didn't, I'm just still sad and shocked.
Did you have to trigger to O? Are your embabies 5 day blasts too? That lining is great! I think my lining was at 9 today as well. :cabbage::cabbage::cabbage:

Just got my fert report.
19 eggs retrieved
13 mature
8 fertilized!!!!
We are soooo happy with these numbers. Last cycle we had 16 retrieved/10 mature and only 3 fertilized. So we are doing much better already. Obviously its quality or quantity and hoping these are 8 strong embies beginning to grow!!
Will be updated tomorrow on their progress and if I will be a 3dt or 5dt
Thank you all for the prayers!!!!
You were truly blessed this cycle Jenn:wub:.
Beta is on Dec 8th... can't wait!
:hooray::hooray: Uma, I am so happy for you & your happy ending to this cycle. Can't wait until your beta (one day after Amy, right?)!!!
I am sooooo excited we were moved to a 5DT! Yesterday we waited for them to call; finally got thru to someone and all 8 embies were still dividing. Hang in there. I know it seems like the end of the world because the whole process of TTC is sensitive & we just want our prize so badly that we don't want the delays & disappointments. However, some things are out of our hands and we just have to take it one day at a time. You will get there:wub:. Any chance you are doing acupuncture prior to IVF? It can be relaxing:winks:.

Amy- Thinking about you on this Monday morning. You are a week away from seeing your baby(ies) on u/s. We are all very anxious to hear about your results of course. How are you feeling these days? I know you are posting in DD now, but we want to hear all about your 1st u/s before you leave us!!
Rachel, Donna & Kim- You ladies are ALWAYS on my mind. We've all been in this room for a while & I continue to wish for your success in this journey. I am so excited you are all starting another cycle and just wanted to send you positive thoughts today. You are all very strong & determined women and you will make wonderful moms one day. I pray 2010 brings you all good results.

as i sit here i am excited that my u/s is wed. and our iui is fri.
however it is hard to not question and have doubts after a failed iui.
then i read an article about iui's and it was saying it gives women a false sense of hope... is that true? agggggh
but then i see, hear, and read so many stories of successful iui's and that gives me hope!
i just dont know!
*still hoping and praying*
It took four IUI's for me to get pg. Don't lose hope!

When God closes a door, he opens a window. Looks like I have been banging on the wrong door for the last year! :)
We met with a new RE today. We really like him. He said there was no reason for me to have an IVF.
He will perform a Balloon Tuboplasty to remove my right tube blockage on Thursday. (this thursday)!! 80% success rate with this procedure. So that is hopeful.
He also ordered a bunch of blood tests b/c we m/c in April.
Who knows, maybe with an open tube, we can have sex on our own and make a gorgeous baby. I will certainly keep you all posted.
Congrats and praying for all of you. Love, K8

Had a question for you all regarding the PIO shots. DH injects it for me everyday. When he inserts the needle in, no issues, after he pulls back a lil on the syringe there is no blood and then he goes ahead and injects the medication, however when he takes the syringe out, there is some blood that comes out.. He is a lil concerned and so am i :-(
I have a progestrone test tomorrow so planning on asking the nurse...

Jenn...congrats on your awesome ER and Fert report!!! Sending up prayers for your ET tomorrow. I know you will be announcing your :bfp: soon!!!!!
As for me... I was out of town last week visiting with my parents.
On 11/23 I had my trial transfer which went very well...only some minor cramping like IUI. Hubby did his semen freeze the same day.
Took my last BCP on 11/27...looking for AF.
On 12/2 I have a dr. appt. for b/w and u/s. I also start stimming that night. 225 IU follistim and 150 IU menopur.
Question:
I have a few events coming up this weekend and next weekend. How do you manage your shots while out in public? My main concern is the menopur because I have to mix it. The follistim is in a nice little pin with its own carrying case. I am going to ask the nurse Wednesday is it ok to mix the menopur ahead of time... but still seeking your opinions... I don't want to have to stay home because I have to adminster shots.... but if I must I will!

Anyway I get to sono early this morning.. Its 6:30 but I get there at 5:30 cause I had to drop my hubby at the airport.
So Im waiting and a woman pulls up.. in a taxi gets out and is standing by the door
So I open my car door and I said would you like to come inside because its cold it was 32 degrees.. She yelled I WAS HERE FIRST.. I was like who needs this at 6am in the morning.
I told my doc so I went first anyway..while he was drawing my blood she stood outside the door.. it was crazy. He told her have a seat.. she didnt move it was crazy!!

Wow that is insane.... What is wrong with women? Lol. Maybe she was on too much Clomid. That stuff makes some women really nuts, I was so moody on that stuff but not like this crazy lady. And Ha ha, you still went first..... See  lady, good guys come in first. :winks: Sorry about no follies showing up, hopefully they start growing soon. What meds are you on and what are the dosages? I think when I did IVF I was on Follistim 300 the first 3-4 days then they knocked it down... I was also on Lupron and HCG.

Sandy - :cabbage: GROW FOLLIES GROW :cabbage: I'm still amazed at how rude some people can be. That's too funny that your RE made her wait!
Dena - I'm not going to trigger to O. I'm not sure why they aren't doing this, but I've always been able to O on my own, so maybe that is why. :dunno: My embabies are 5 day blasts also, so I'm just praying that they both survive the thaw! :fingerscrossed: :luck: on Monday.
Jenn - :luck: with your transfer today! :stickyvibes::babydust1:
Kate - That's wonderful news! :hooray: I'll be thinking of you on Thursday. I pray that everything is a success and you are able to get pregnant on your own!
Uma - Hope the 2WW goes quickly for you. I bled a few times also with the PIO injections, but my numbers were always good, so I never really worried about it. I would ask your RE so that you don't stress over it.
mrssomuchmore - :luck: with starting your stims. I had to give myself plenty of shots out in public. I also just carried them with me in my big purse and went to the restroom or the car to actually do the shot. However, I never had any that had to be mixed.
Rhonda - Thanks for thinking of me. I hope you and your family enjoyed the holiday. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted after my transfer next week.
AFM - I'm getting ready to head to my last acupuncture appointment until transfer day. I will be getting a treatment before & after transfer. I will be going to her office instead of having her come to RE's office since she is only about 5 - 10 minutes away and it will be a lot cheaper that way.
Hope I didn't miss anyone!

All you ladies with your dates for Dec and Jan, make sure you update them in the IVF Schedule page so we will know when your ER, ET, and HCG are scheduled.

I am 3dp5dt. Time does fly. Hanging in there..
Thats normal... I found if you ice the area before giving the shot and then taking a warm wash cloth to the area a few mins later really helps with the shots!

Thanks Serena, I just updated it with my FET date... I'm thinking my beta is 9 days after since that's what the nurse told me last time with my 5 day old blasts but who knows... I'll update you when I know that for sure.

Good luck today Jenn! I'm so excited for you. Make sure you go home and rest rest rest... No moving around and don't do anything that will stress you out. Keep those babies safe in your belly, can't wait for them to implant and you will be preggie with Twins too. That would be so awesome! :cabbage:
Sally, Hmmm I think I had to do trigger because they dont know if my body would release the egg on it's own or what, so I'm thinking they wanted to play it safe. I used to O so late in the month and now that I have an eggie and my blood levels were good, they wanted me to O. We are definitely going to BD like crazy the next few days... Maybe we can catch that eggie. This is the first time ever I have O'd without all the fertility drugs like Clomid, injectables and had an eggie on my own this soon.... We're going to take major advantage of that. and of course will have fun trying!!! So if I O tomorrow, you will probably O Thursday since your FET is the day after mine right? YAY!!!! We'll be relaxing at home together rubbing our bellies telling our embabies to stick stick stick. I'll be praying for us both so hard! :hugs:
