The Ganirelix f'ed me. The nurse called and said she was scheduling me for an IUI on Thurs.....the problem is I have NO more ins coverage for an IUI. So I will take the trigger tonight and we will BD over the next few days.

The nurse said that maybe we should do microdose Lupron next time. Oh I am just so freaking disheartned, I had SUCH good follies the other day. Now I have just so so ones that probably won't grow enough. Oh this just really ruined my day.
:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: I'm SO sorry, Kim! This just sucks. :hugs:

lilp, good luck with the iui!!did your d/h have a s/a and how were his results? ive never heard of ovidrel before what is it supposed to trigger? there is soo much to learn about all of this. my next appt is tues. :babydust1: for all of us!!!

My DH had testicular cancer 12 years ago, and had a unilateral orchiectomy (his right boy removed). He had an S/A done in 1997 before the removal in hopes of freezing sperm, nothing was viable due to the cancer. He had another one done in Sept 08 (per my request) and his numbers were very bad. Count was 2 million, motility was good, in the 70% range but the morphology was in the lower range. BUT we were very grateful to have any to work with! IT ONLY TAKES ONE!! Then we decided to see an RE in January 09, he had another S/A done, with the same results. And then again when he donated for the IUI his number were very similar. When we had the IUI we had 1.2 million washed sperm to work with, which is pretty good given there were only 2 million total. As far as ovidrel, that is an ovulation trigger. I took clomid to help me produce more multiple egg, giving the sperm as many targets as possible. I was on clomid CD 3-7, and then went in to an ultrasound and they said to take the ovidrel shot and I would ovulate within 36-48 hours. 24 hours after I gave myself the shot I had my first IUI. I guess the hope was that the sperm would be there waiting on the egg. It is a learning process and luckily we have this website which allows us to share knowledge and become more informed.

Good luck gals. I am also getting iui #3, but not till july. Getting my HSG test on Monday 22nd. I am scared. But I am glad they are doing it. They want to make sure my recent misscarriage wasn't ectopic.

Did anyone else have an hsg? was it painful? my iui's (2 so far) have been painful.

I had an HSG in April, the only painful part was when they blew up the balloon, lasted about 2 seconds, other than that just a little pressure and then cramping after. We had IUI #1 in May and the procedure was not painful, but after I had some cramping and lots of pain in my back, actually couldn't sleep due to my back hurting. But it was completely gone the next day.

Hi Janie, Looks like we will be cycle buddies. I start my Lupron tomorrow (Thursday).

I'll let you know how it goes! I got my meds yesterday though and the Lupron syringe is super small, so I'm not too worried about that one. I'm on .05cc/.25mg of Lupron once a day so far.

Update on me...

I had my U/S and trial transfer yesterday and he said everything looked "perfect". He gave me a 65% chance of conceiving and a 55% chance of carrying to full term. He said that that is he highest probability that he will give, so that makes me feel optimistic. :)

I start my Lupron tomorrow morning and to be honest with you, after getting the lesson and seeing the needle for the Lupron, I'm not scared at all.

I'll keep you all in the loop!

kss717 - :hugs: I'm so sorry that things turned out this way for you. All hope is not lost though since you can still try the old-fashioned way. :winks: I'm sending you lots of :babydust:!

janieleigh501 / spatrickgreene - :luck: with the injections and KUP on your progress!

Cassie91382 - :luck: with your mock transfer! Hope everything goes well and you get started with your cycle soon!

AFM - I will probably be taking a little break from here for awhile. I will still try to get online and check on everyone though. The RE decided to cancel my FET cycle this time because my body wasn't responding to the estrogen like we had hoped and my lining wasn't getting thick. :headbang: He said to stop all meds. and that I should get AF in a few days. Then, he suggested that I at least have one month without any meds. to let my body heal and get back to normal. Then, I will do one month of BCPs and then try to start another FET cycle. Next time he said we would use estrogen injections instead of pills and patches. I'm disappointed, but I would rather wait and make sure everything looks perfect than to waste any of the snowbabies on a cycle that will probably fail. I'm just going to try to enjoy the rest of the summer. At least this gives me a chance to lose some more weight before we try again.

I wish the best of luck to all you ladies. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through your cycles! :D

Kim - I don't even know WHAT to say about that! Your follies were looking great...I think your RE messed that up. Well, don't let this cycle be a bust...give it your best shot!

Islandgirl - I hope they figure out the right protocol so you don't have to wait to long on the FET. Hang in there and don't be a stranger:winks:.

Donna - 1 more day!!! Can't wait to hear how the ER goes!

Good luck new stimmers & upcoming ER/ET's!!!

AFM - 3 week wait for follow-up consult to review my tests. ARGH! :frown:

I don't know all the US meds, because the names are all different here, but I think that is to suppress ovulation, right? Were you on Ganirelix the entire time, or just for the last few days (sorry, I lost track)? I think the suppression stuff I took last time (and the time before) totally screwed me, too. Try to stay positive and BD like mad. We are all praying for you. :babydust1:

Rhonda - I'm sure you didn't let yourself go, honey. And even if you gained a couple pounds, big deal. You know what you need to do to feel better and it sounds like a few weeks of letting go has renewed your motivation with other things. I'm a fairly fit person, but I feel really wobbly now after the last round of meds. Luckily I never weigh myself, so I don't know the truth, but everything is a little tight. I'm blaming it on the meds, though, and so should you. :winks:

I am still a little tired from yesterday so I will read everyones post tomorrow; however I wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for us.

The MESA / TESA on my husband was pretty ruff. They were able to get sperm so that was wonderful!:hooray: They had to do a little cut and was able to get the rest with a needle stick or two... he is bruised but will be alright:hooray:.

As far as I go; I started with 16 follicles and ended up with only 7 eggs. I know that 7 is good, but I really thought there would be more than that. I guess for some reason I thought each follice would have an egg. Please don't get me wrong I am happy that I have 7, just expected more.

The procedure itself was pretty painless, I was asleep and the pain afterwards to be honest was the same as before I had. Just the full feeling from the ovaries being enlarged. I was given Darvocet and that has done fine. I am tired and I am sure that is just a carry over from being put to sleep. :eyeroll:

We will have a 100% conception rate since we are doing ICSI. :hugs:

My RE is suppose to call me in the a.m. to let me know how our babies are growing and when we will be doing the transfer. I figure it will be Friday for a 3dt. He is talking about tranfering 4 due to my age. I guess all this will depend on how many we have come tomorrow. I am praying all 7 make it and that way we can have some frosties!:P

If anyone has questions feel free to ask me. You can pm me if you want as well.

I look forward to hearing how everyones ER/ET went this week!

God Bless you all...

Sagan- Best of luck with the transfer! I hope that all 7 continue to grow into strong embryos! Get lots of rest and a speedy recovery from today's procedure!

Islandgirl- I am so sorry that this cycle was canceled. I am sure that was a big disappointment. I definitely agree that you want everything to be perfect for the cycle though.

Cassie- I hope your trial transfer went well! I completely understand about the waiting part! You feel like you finish one thing just to wait for the next. I guess that is life huh. Well, hopefully it goes quickly for you!

Lex- I am sorry about your wait to see the ER. I had to wait a few weeks before I could have my IVF consult as well. Thankfully the time went fast and everything seemed to fall into place after that. I hope that you have the same experience!

I am sorry to those of you that I am missing, I am sitting here drawing a blank.

As for me I had a U/S and mock transfer yesterday. The doctor said everything looked fine and were procceding. The only thing that worried me that he said was that he thought maybe my Lt Ovary was connected to my uterus cause when he moved my uterus it moved with it. I asked if it was an issue he said no it just might be a little harder to get the eggs out but they wont know for sure until they attempt it. He also said my uterus lining was thick for just getting off my period he said it looked like it should look a week or 2 from now. Made me nervous but the nurse assured me that he said everything was fine and he didnt say anything was an issue. I dont know maybe I'm just freaking out??? Our next step is the class to learn to do the shots. We go next Thurs for that. We will find out more specific days of when they are thinking of doing everything. The nurse told me yesterday that she thinks I will be on BC until July 2nd then go off and start the shots shortly after the 4th. Hopefully will have a BFP before the end of July.

Island- Thanks and sorry that this cycle was canceled. Hopefully that means everything will be more than perfect next cycle.

Photo- Thanks it was easy for me just a little uncomfortable.

Sagan- Congrats on the good numbers! Maybe no frosties cause hopefully you wont need them! I have my fingers crossed!! Good Luck!!!

Lex- Hope your wait goes fast!! It will be here in no time!!

Janie- The trial wasnt to bad. Yes the wait is just part of life. Oh well I'll get through it. Good luck on your shots I hope everything goes well and works for the best!!!

The shots are a breeze and it sounds like you got a clean bill of health. My intestines are wrapped around my left ovary and it works just fine.

Lupron shot #1 down.

I dominate injections. They're not the boss of me.

 Oh girlyou crack me up....I want that on a t-shirt!

We only do one but I have seen some ladies on here have 2 in one cycle. I think if the timing is right and the sperm is good then one should be sufficient but if you want two then go for it.

Questions...How many of your are having multiple IUIs in one cycle? I'm thinking of requesting doing two IUIs next week, a few days apart. My RE didn't mention this as an option, but I've read that some do! What are your thoughts/opinions?

My dr did 2, back to back, so we had one last tues, and then went again on wed morning, this way we got as many of the little guys up there that we could. Good luck, i sure hope this one works for you :hooray:

So I had to buy my meds yesterday afternoon. I knew my insurance was going to cover 75% but HOLY MOLY is that flippin' Gonal-F EXPENSIVE!

I think I got like 8 prescriptions filled including the Lupron which my doctor loaned me until mine arrived since I started it already and my total was $1200. Of that $1200, $950 was the Gonal-F!!!!

I know I'm blessed that my insurance covers so much, but my GOD. That is ridiculous. If we didn't have coverage, the Gonal would have been like
$4K alone!

I almost puked in my mouth when she told me the amount and asked for my debit card...

Thank you! That first day was the worst for the drowsiness the morning after. I didn't have it so much the rest of the days. Still had the dizziness when I got up during the night, but at least it was night time, right? Went in for day 12 ultrasound this morning and only had one mature follicle/egg (19mm). I was kind of surprised, because when I did the day 1 ultrasound they said I had a lot of follicles, and the Femara was supposed to "super ovulate" me. I guess the other just didn't mature. But one is all that I need, right? So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They went ahead and injected me with the Ovidrel and gave me a BD schedule to follow and will POAS in 16 days.

Sagan- Good luck today! I hope the transfer goes perfect.

spatrick- So, how's the lupron going? How are you feeling on it? I have already started having dreams about giving myself the injections. Anyways, I hope it is going well! My insurance doesn't pay for a dime of anything and yes these meds are very expensive!!! I am totally going to use your approach tomorrow night when I start the lupron!!!

Cassie- Good luck with your class next week. You really only have a short time left before you will be starting your injections too! July is right around the corner! I would try not to stress too much about what the dr said. If he saw any reason for concern he wouldn't be moving forward!

Photogirl- I would agree that you find out WAY more than you need to know about your body during this process. It almost feels like a curse in some ways! The more you know, the more you either worry or are frustrated by its lack of cooperation! That is definitely how I have felt!

Oh honestly, the Lupron is no biggie so far. Keep in mind that I'm only on day 2 but it is super easy. You'll laugh at yourself for getting all worked up about it. I know I did!

Kss- Thanks that makes me worry less about the ovary situation. Thanks for the heads up.

Spatrick- Doesnt insurance stink sometimes. Mine doesnt cover any of the procedure or meds. Luckily I'm in a study so they cover half the cost and all the meds. But I did get a call today about the price that was $2,000 more than I had originally thought. Ughhh!! Its frustating to get a bill like you did today for your meds. But thats the price we have to pay to get our BFP's I guess. It's worth it!!

OMG, A girl leaves for a couple days and y'all go on with the party without me  let's see how well I can catch up.

Is your Bday this coming THURS???????

No, it's actually in April. Hope you're hanging in there and BD like you've never BD'd before. I'm really hurt about what happened, but all isn't lost. :fingerscrossed: you can tell those &%$*# RE's where to get off  'cause you won't need them anymore. You show them.

Donna- :hooray: I am soooo excited for your 1st ER this week. Your 4 follies sound like winners:clap:! I remember when you were so anxious & here we are! WOW for the 36 days of shots! You are a trooper & it will make your success story 10 times more encouraging for other followers:wub:. We are such a strong group of women & I commend everyone for their strength, passion, determination & compasion!!! :grouphug:

AFM- Patiently waiting on test results. This Friday is 2 weeks so consult should be the following. Waiting on appointment. I have to admit that I totally let myself go & gained 6-7 pounds since my BFN over a month ago. I stopped my acupuncture too :ohno:. DH is so patient, supportive, comforting & encouraging...don't know how I could've gotten back up without him. Healing has been tough, but I know I'm loved & he has enough faith for the two of us. I allowed my fear & uncertainty to take me to a lonely place for a minute, but now I'm working out again & have even started 2 walking groups (friends/family & work) in the past 2 weeks. I think I'm ready to add back in my acupuncture & yoga. I worry about not taking care of self during my 4-6 weeks of recovery, but I can only pray it hasn't taken a toll on my egg production! I even started drinking caffeine daily & one weekend I got pretty toasted!!! So I can use all the prayers you ladies have for me as I slowly get back in the game.

Thanks Rhonda :hugs: You remember? I thought June would never get here, but you were one of my biggest supporters always encouraging me to hold on and telling me it'll be here before I knew it. :ty: so much for your support.

AFY- Hey, we all have our moments; I would wonder about you if you said otherwise . We have our own ways of dealing with stuff, but the important thing is to get back up, dust yourself off, go again and don't let it be the boss of you as Sarah says, which is what your doing. Your DH sounds like a wonderful man; I'm happy that he's there for you, loving and supportive as ever. It's good to see you back on the board more frequently; I missed you and the wonderful support you give to us, and we want to hear what's up with you so that we too can give back that love and support. You're always in my thoughts and prayers, and I really do hope that the specialist you're working with can provide the answer and miracle you so deserve. Hang in there, the 3 weeks will be here and gone before you know it; take it from someone who knows and is giving you back your own advice

Well I received all my meds today. Not quite as overwhelming as I expected. So, I star lupron on Saturday...

:hooray: :luck: After the first shot you'll be a pro.

Sarah, I'd take those chances any day, especially if that's the highest probability he'll give. Shoot, I'd be grinning from ear to ear and :bounce: of the walls. The shots are a breeze, you'll be just fine.

I'm so sorry :comfort: But you have the right attitude, wait and make sure if that's what it takes. You want to have the best chances than to be disappointed again. Enjoy your summer, take the time to take care of and pamper yourself so that when you're ready again the timing will be just right and you won't have to wait long for your bfp.

OOOhhhhh I feel the love, I feel the love :wub: Awww, thanks you all. I've finally resurfaced. Well, my ER went well on Thursday; no pain, just some discomfort. They did do a transabdnominal retrieval as they'd suspected they had to do, since my ovary was so high. I was totally out of it, came home and slept the rest of the day. Sooooooo, they retrieved 5 eggies and I got a call from the embryologist yesterday to say that 2 fertilized :cabbage: :bounce: I don't know the grade and probably won't because it's too early to tell and I'll be going in this morning for a 2-day transfer, which will still be too early to tell. The embryologist told me to come in this morning at 8:00 and then I got a call from the nurse co-ordinator later in the day to say the RE is coming in earlier and wants all ET patients to come in earlier too; so I must be there by 7:30. So of course you know I started thinking all sorts of things; I wonder if my babies aren't doing well and the want me to come in earlier so they can hurry and get them in :dunno: Oh, and I can't get pictures of my babies because their equipment isn't working :( Anyway, hopefully after tomorrow I'll be in the dreaded 2WW :P:headbang: I'm so happy though, at least I can say I have babies :cabbage:, they're just not inside yet.

The tranfer went well. I am so grateful for all the support from you all! (my ET was a 3DT)

So heres the breakdown: we transfered all 4 embryos :hooray:

2 - 8 cell
1 - 6 cell
1 - 4 cell

I was not given a grading on them so I don't know if they were even graded out or not. Of course, the RE said he did not expect all 4 to make it or he would have never put in all 4 of them. I am scheduled for my 1st pg test on July 1st, so my 2ww has began!:cabbage:

By the way I was reading some post on ET and it seems that some people do not realize there is a BIG difference in a 3 day and 5 day tranfer. The success rate is much greater in a 5 day transfer. However, unless you have ample amount of embryos most will do a 3 day transfer.

Out of the IVF Q&A there was only 1 person who posted a success with a 3 day tranfer. Has anyone else had a success with a 3 day?

Rhonda - Yes, I'm finally in the 2WW :cabbage: :ty: My 2 embie babies made it through the night and were successfully transferred. The embryologist called them "pretty"; no grades because it's a 2-day transfer, but she says they were less than 10% fragmented and were both 2 cells. I found out three were actually fertilized but one abnormally :( So now they're comfortable snuggled in and I'm praying my brains out that at least one will implant. I was sooooo tired because for some reason I didn't get much sleep last night, so I was out like a light when I got home. I had some pain when I woke up but it's gone now. I'm not concerned about the pain because I believe it's the after effect of the procedure. I go for beta on 4th of July so I'm hoping I can start my own fireworks  I vow never to POAS before my beta :fingerscrossed:  If I'm pregnant, I want to be surprised by the call and if I'm not, I don't want to have to deal with the stupid stick letting me know :headbang:

I had no doubt about the transfer being a success PPT- (power of positive thinking) until yesterday… We went to a horse show and it was really HOT.:ohno: I am afraid that I might have gotten to hot so close after the transfer – would have been 5 days after ET. Do you think it is possible or do you think our bodies will self regulate so the outside temps don’t affect the embryo’s. I went to the truck a couple of times to cool off so that I would not over heat. I was not doing any physical activity just watching. However, I live in South Ga. And it was over 100+ on Sunday.

I did 4 IVF cycles, three of them were 3DT and two were positive betas, the other was negative. The other cycle did not make it to the transfer date but it was scheduled for a 3DT. I am the proud mom of almost 7 week old twins. :cabbage:, so 3DT are definitely successful.
Thanks so much for this! I really needed to hear this and CONGRATs on the twins!:hugs:

Sagan - :ty: Wooohhhhooooo, congrats :hooray: I'll be praying for your bfp in 2 weeks.

Right back at you! Prayerfully we will graduate together!:hi:

Donna & sagan& Congrats on the ER & ET!!!! Welcome to the 2WW! :hooray::hooray: I'm praying that both you lovely ladies get a BFP!!!

Sylvia – Thanks so much for all the encouragement! I am so glad I found this group and it is people like you that keep us coming back for more! Best of luck on your pgt and of course wishing you a BFP!

Donna & Sagan - yeah - congrats on your succesful ETs. Sticky vibes coming your way.
Thank you!

Sagan! Awesome sounds like it all went well! Sending lots of sticky :vibes: I hope we have lots of grads this month!
Thanks and I second that – LOTs of grads and it looks like there are a lot of un in the 2WW! I can’t wait to post my story in the IVF Q&A!

Happy Monday Everyone- I went in for a u/s this morning, and I may be ovulating today, still have to wait on the blood work. YAY IUI might done this afternoon! Also, I talked to RE this morning about doing two IUIs in one cycle, he said that was only beneficial with injectables and that is something we can look at during another cycle. onmymind17 todays the day right!!! praying for your BFP!

Sagan - I think you are fine. As long as you don't overexert yourself - and remember to stay hydrated, especially in that kind of heat. My RE recommends drinking 3 liters a day - man, do I have to pee constantly!

Hey Girlie! This is so exciting! I'll be praying hard for you!

I was not aware of the 3 day versus 5 day transfer info, so thank you for that!

I'm finally in the 2WW :cabbage: :ty: My 2 embie babies made it through the night and were successfully transferred.

Sounds like you've got the right mindset. Just try to relax and don't think about the two weeks in front of you... I know that's probably impossible, right?

You've made it this far! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as well. Beta's on Fourth of July sound lucky to me!

AFM-Here waiting till Tuesday for my Beta... I had been handling this 2WW great until about last Thursday. Now it's killing me to know. I don't feel a thing, only a few craps here and there. I actually haven't reacted to the PIO like last time, which I love.

Take care everyone, have a great Sunday.

Sylvia

Ahhhh! Can't wait to hear about your beta tomorrow!!!! I know it doesn't seem quick to you, but I feel like these two weeks have absolutely FLOWN by!

I know that my RE just told me at my last appt. when he was going over the entire cycle for me again that after the ET, there is almost nothing that either he or I could do to affect the embryos at that point. Good or bad.

Like basically telling me not to go home and lay with my legs up for two weeks because it won't help but also not to avoid living my life because at that point, either they are going to implant or they're not. He said something like "apart from taking up chain smoking or binge drinking, you can't hurt you're little guys, so just try to relax and live your life."

Hope that helps!

Good Morning Ladies...
Congratulations to all of you that are moving along so beautifully in your IVF cycle...

Is anyone on Lupron? This is my first IVF cycle and I'm on Lupron day 5...

Hi There! I'm on Lupron Day 5 also! I started it last Thursday!

How are your side effects? I kinda feel like I'm on CD1 of my period all the time and the spotting/little clots that I'm passing are seriously grossing me out. My RE said that is normal but it's not that cool to me. :ohno:

I stop BCP tomorrow and go in for my CD 3 ultrasound and BW on Thursday am and then I think start the Gonal-F on Sunday.

Yeah!!! We're on the same day! I am not on BC because of anticardiolipin antibodies (blood clotting disorder)so I am waiting for AF to begin so then I can call the RE for CD3 monitoring. The only side effects I think I may have been having was moodiness on Friday and Saturday toward DH. Poor guy!!! Everything he did around the house was getting on my nerves :) Besides that I feel great mainly because I'm so excited it's finally happening!!!

I am sending you lots of prayers and baby dust, i sure hope this iui cycle works for you. As for me, i dont think it worked, i tested yesterday and it was bfn, i was 11dpo yesterday. I went for the blood test this morning, and i have to wait until after 3pm central time before i know anything. I have to say these cramps are driving me nuts, i had some bad ones around 7dpo, and now again this weekend, yesterday we were cleaning out the extra room (The babies room if we get pg) and i just kept cramping, it was actually making me nauseous. So we will see, part of me is still hopefull that maybe i was to early with the test, and the other part says just face it it did not work. I will let you guys know as soon as i know anything. I know if it did not work, we are taking a break in July and we will do the IUI again in August, i just need a little time to re-group. Good luck.

Well, I just got the call...I O'd already, probably on friday/saturday. So no IUI for us this month. Hoping our BDing will work. I'm a little down about the whole thing. I went through all the u/s, clomid, rescheduling work to be able to go to RE...and we miss it! I know its due to having to take PC pills for 10 at the start of my cycle, it messed up the whole cycle. I should have just skipped June and waited until July. Live and learn, and move on. That's all we can do. Baby dust to everyone!

I found this on line and thought it was interesting!

3 Day and 5 Day Transfers

For those who are on their TWW and want to know what is going on in there here is a list for 3 and 5 day transfers.

This is what happens in a 5dt:

-1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

this is what happens in a 3dt :

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining

Dear Donna and Rhonda,

I wanted to thank you for your messages. It means a lot that you were thinking of me. This has just been so hard. Today I would have been 16 weeks. All of those years, and everything I went through to finally have my beautiful babies, only to lose them. For those of you that don’t know me, DH and I tried on our own for about 10 years. I have PCOS and we tried Clomid many times, but I didn’t respond. Last year we did injectables with IUI and got pregnant, but our baby didn’t develop and I had to have a D&C. This March we started another IUI treatment but I developed too many follicles and we decided to switch to IVF, rather than to cancel the cycle (especially since our ins. doesn't cover anything). We were blessed with two little heartbeats at 6 weeks exactly. At 7 weeks, 4 days I woke up bleeding and thought I was miscarrying. We went to the ER and both babies were fine. Dr. said I had a sub chorionic hemorrhage. We had another bleeding episode at 11 weeks, and again, everything with the babies was fine. Then at 13 weeks, 5 days I had a really bad bleeding episode were I passed out due to blood loss and DH had to call 911. My babies still had a strong heartbeat and were such little fighters. I was admitted into the hospital, bleeding only a little but it was continuous. At 14 weeks, 4 days I went into labor in the afternoon and there was nothing they could do to stop it. The Perinatologist believes that the lower placenta detached and caused my body to go into labor. I gave birth to two beautiful, perfect looking baby boys that night. We were able to spend many hours with them and a priest came at 2am to baptize them. I know I have to try again because I feel like I can’t live without them now. I hope God sends them back to me soon. This kind of pain I would never wish on anyone. I hope everyone here gets a BFP and a healthy and uneventful 9months of pregnancy. I’m sorry this turned out to be so long.

~Mayra

Sylvia- Best of luck tomorrow!:babydust::stickyvibes: I'm betting on a :bfp: this time for sure! I think you got this in the bag!!

Sagan & Donna- My girls!!! I am going to go crazy until the beta's come up! We will be doing some serious celebrating in July! Woo hoo!!!:hooray: Sending good :vibes: your way ladies!!!

Missy- 11 follicles is great for starters! As many of the ladies have said, it can progress rather quickly and besides, having 2 dozen follicles doesn't mean you will have 2 dozen healthy, mature eggs retrieved, so don't get hung up on numbers! I bet everything will be perfect by time your follicles grow & your ER rolls around! Don't sweat it...just keep shooting up!!!:pokey:

Sarah & Adriene- You girls are going to do great with your Lupron and it sounds like you'll be cycle buddies for the most part. Best of luck with your stims!

Mayra- Honey I haven't stopped thinking about you and shedding tears over your loss. You are a brave, tough woman and I know God chose you for those beautiful baby boys. I also know your day of celebration is around the corner as you will be a loving mother of beautiful children soon enough! Take care of you and KUP when you are ready to start TTC again!

41ttc- I am glad your transfer went well and I am praying for your bfp!

Fia- Good luck tomorrow! I hope the time passes quickly and you get your bfp!

Missy- Try not to get too discouraged. I agree with the others it only takes one! 11 is not a bad number, I think sometimes we just have a different expectation for things.

spatrick- you were right I laughed at how nervous I got about the first lurpon shot. Not too shabby. The needle is tiny I could hardly feel it. I hope the stimming is the same way!

Hopeful- I can relate to a bit of moodiness! I have noticed it more with the BC pill they put me on, but I am only on day 3 of lupron and my husband is out of town.

My left tube is blocked and I can only get pg if I ovulate on the right side. I am taking meds to induce ovulation and hope to get nice follies on the right or that cycle is a bust. I was having lap sx when they discovered it and my RE asked DH if he wanted to remove the tube. He said he would recommend removing it if we were going to do IVF. Thank you for the information. I have a call into my doctor to figure out what is our best course of action. I was too emotional yesterday after I was told my tube was blocked, and couldn't ask any additional questions. My doctor just held my hand and told me, it's ok, we will just have you ovulate on the left. Like.. no big deal.

What do you take to induce ovulation? Do you have to take injectable meds? I have been on clomid before my miscarriage in April. Then had to take 6 weeks off, now I got the HSG, and here I am. The bright side?? we finally know what is wrong after all this time.

You know what I did that totally helped me? I made a checklist for each day on what I was supposed to take and keep it in the bathroom next to my meds. That way, after I take something, I can mark it off so I can stop freaking out that I forgot something one day.

Make a page or a box for each day with all the meds scheduled for that day and then just cross them off as you go!

As for the injectables, it's a piece of cake. When you go into have your b/w and u/s done, the RN will call you w/ specific instructions on how much of a dosage of which drug and tell you AM or PM. It does look overwhelming but you get used it, really fast! Unfortunately, your (_/_) doesn't! ;)

I just took my last BCP today so I should get AF by Thursday. I don't think my protocol requires that I get it before proceeding though. I have my E2 levels and ultrasound on Thursday as well and start my FSH meds on Sunday.

Yeah, I think my protocol is a bit different. I am soooo excited! I wish I knew exactly when each med is used. I keep googling them and I'm not getting the info. I received 7 different meds, is that normal?

Sarah, Kim, Kristen-Thanks so much for your kind and encouraging words.

So I got the call from my nurse about 20 minutes ago. I never thought the day would arrive where I would be posting these beautiful three letters, BFP!!!!! Yes it's positive, :hooray:I'm still in shock! My beta is 405. I go back Thursday for another test, praying my number doubles.

I've had terrible AF cramps since Thursday and had spotting this Am, I thought for sure it had not worked.

Ladies thank you so much for your support and prayers. I would not have been able to go through this process without you all.

I think that is pretty normal. I have about 9 different kinds, so depending on your protocol that sounds about right. What ones are you not able to find on google? I would definitely write them all out on a calendar like spatrick suggested. I know that helps me a lot!

Donna! I can't wait for all your 4th of July fireworks for twins!

:hi: Thanks ladies I'm ok, just not really holding out hope for this cycle, I think the Ganirelix messed me up or that 20mm follie popped early and we didn't catch it. I'll be ok, I'm just getting real tired of this and then that bad thoughts *ducks from Donna's head smack* really pour in like is this a sign that I should just stop TTCing. I know , I know but I am just very frustrated right now. I'll snap out of it, I promise.

Are you   Here I am hoping for one and you're ready to give me two. I would just pass right out if the dr told me that; I'd be happy, I'd just pass out

(((SMACK))) Don't you dare give up on yourself and your sisterfriends who are supporting and praying for you. Anything worth having is worth fighting for, so keep fighting. You have 2 functioning ovaries don't you? So you have to believe that one day you'll be a mommy too and you'll be posting bfp's all over the place :hugs: Just imagine and keep that image alive.

Sounds like you've got the right mindset. Just try to relax and don't think about the two weeks in front of you... I know that's probably impossible, right?

You've made it this far! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as well. Beta's on Fourth of July sound lucky to me!

:ty: For now I'm kinda not thinking about 2 weeks, don't know how long it'll be before I start getting impatient. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers too. :luck: on Thursday; hope b/w goes well.

Adriene, you shoulda seen me on lupron; OH BOY it sure did a number on me. I was sooo cranky, so you're not alone and I'm sure DH understands. He doesn't see you like that all the time so he's probably figuring it's the meds.

~Mayra

Oh Mayra, I still can't believe what happened. But don't give up; in time the hurt and pain of your loss will subside. We'll never know why things happen the way they do, but have faith that God will send a miracle or two back to you. Know that we're always here for you. Hang in there

Sagan & Donna- My girls!!! I am going to go crazy until the beta's come up! We will be doing some serious celebrating in July! Woo hoo!!!:hooray: Sending good :vibes: your way ladies!!!

So today is day 6 of Lupron for me, waiting for AF! Never thought I'd say that with enthusiasm. I just received my shipment of meds from the pharmacy and OMG there are so many!!! I have an injection class tomorrow and I hope they explain everything because I don't understand how and when I will have time to inject, swallow or stick any of this inside of me :)

Adriene, it looks overwhelming but when you start, it'll be a piece of cake. Your RE will give you a protocol list so you'll know what to do when; just take it one day at a time.

As for the injectables, it's a piece of cake. When you go into have your b/w and u/s done, the RN will call you w/ specific instructions on how much of a dosage of which drug and tell you AM or PM. It does look overwhelming but you get used it, really fast! Unfortunately, your (_/_) doesn't! ;)

Tell me about it  My (.)(.) started hurting long after I started lupron and never stopped, and since I started progesterone, my nipples especially feel like they're taking out some kinda revenge on me  So that's one symptom I can strike off my list of signs to look for

I just took my last BCP today so I should get AF by Thursday. I don't think my protocol requires that I get it before proceeding though. I have my E2 levels and ultrasound on Thursday as well and start my FSH meds on Sunday.

Great advice on the checklist. What with having to take baby aspirin, estrogen, progesterone, folic acid, vitamins...no wonder I'm not keeping track of my 2WW, I'm just too darned busy trying not to forget what I've taken and what to take next

To think when I started this cycle, my concentration was just on getting more eggs and better quality. I never thought this far ahead.

I am on 150mg of clomid and also taking 3 menopur injections. I take one tonight, one Thursday, and one on Saturday.

well the last week was a horrible emotional wait. i called for my DBF semen results and because we werent married my RE wouldnt give me the results. He said when they are bad he has to speak to him directly and he would probably have to go see a urologist. My BF was soo scared! I felt so bad for him! He really didn't want to go and get bad news but i told him we had to face this! At the appt. they showed me my c/m and it was eggwhites!! yaay!! but when he put it under the scope there were no spermies in it! DBF semen was 9million which is low but morph and motility were ok. i was soo relieved! i thought the dr was going to tell us that he didnt have any sperm at all! i prayed and prayed! but the struggle isnt over yet we still have to get the b/w back to find out what is going on with his hormones. the dr did mention him taking clomid too also to improve his count.

IVF would be a last resort for us due to the expense. I don't think my tube can be unblocked...the RE describes it as "sick" and said it works at about 10%. I have wondered if removing it would help, but I had two surgeries last year and I turn 40 next year and don't want to waste time. Good luck o you.

Fia ~ Congrats!!!

Was anyone ever told by her RE to stay away from dairy after ET? I'm trying to remember, but I'm almost sure that's one of the things the nurse at my fert center told me to stay away from :dunno:

I was told to avoid dairy after my ER today. They got 5 by the way! ET should be Monday!

Congrats on your ER way to go... I did not read your entire post and almost missed it. With you getting 5 I would not be suprised if you don't end up doing the ET on the 27th (3dt instead of 5dt). If your RE does like mine did you should get a call today to give you a status on your future babies! I am so excited for you! :hugs:

Keep us posted!

How many follicles at ER: 18 I think
How many eggs retrieved: 13

Also I wish I hadnt alianated my friends so much, I had alot of friends with kids and it was hard for me to be around them, I guess I was a bit resentful. But when you have kids you become one of them and you need them in your life. The people that you felt a twinge of jelousy toward in the grocery store now you smile at eachother. Just remember that

Hi Ladies, I haven't been participating much but I have been lurking and keeping tabs on my girls!

I just spoke to the RE about me, my meds & my body. He said that the LH surge coupled with the Estridol plateau is not good for the eggs. He did say the surge was due to the Clomid and I didn't O early. We discussed that my Low ovarian reserve and time is against me, but he is willing to keep trying. He wants to start Late Lupron Protocol which is:

One week after O I would start a dose of 10 Lupron til I get AF, then go down to 5 Lupron and start stims, then go from there and hopefully make it to ER and Xfer in IVF. He said I may have to stim longer but big deal my big ole bloated belly can handle that.

So that is the new game plan, I am happy with that I told him I am willing to try anything at this point and I don't mind stimming for 40 days and 40 nights.

He said that LH surges coupled with an Estridol level that plateaus mid stim cycle is not good for the eggs. He (bless his heart) did not mention DE...I  this man. He and I discussed that time and Low overian reserve are against me. I told him about the all  Ganirelex and my seeming to O early. He thinks it is due to the surge and flat E2. BTW the LH surge last time was due to the Clomid NOT me Oing early.

He said he hopes that I was pg now and we would not have to worry about any of this. If I wasn't then he would start me on Late LP Lupron Protocol which is this : I feel very optimistic after speaking with him. :fingerscrossed:

emmieooo: That's a great piece of advise (about not alienating your friends). A friend of mine just told me she was pregnant 2 weeks ago and I think I acted less than thrilled for her. :shame: Although I put on a good show, I though, she told another friend that I seemed "distant". Sometimes we don't realize that we alienate people that are important to us.

I completely stopped drinking coffee and wine a couple of months before my cycle started. I had reduced my coffee intake by 75% last summer.

I did it all the time because well its hard as H*ll and its not fair but just remember that Its what you strive to have and you cant hate what you want to become kwim. I got pregnant and became a mom and I was like crap im just another one of them now and what if people are looking at me in the grocery store and thinking why me. It was really really hard for me to embrace my pregnancy at first because I felt so bad for the strangers looking at me. Everyone I saw I saw myself.

Hi, everyone. I am new to IVF sisters. I recenlty had a m/c after 1 & 1/2 years of trying and (2) IUI's. On Monday had an HSG which revealed blocked right fallopian tube. Meeting with him again weds to discuss next steps. Does anyone else have a blocked fallopian tube?

he gave us a few options: 1) ovulate on the left, 2) surgery to fix the blocked tube and 3) IVF. Thanks in advance for your guidance.

IVF would be a last resort for us due to the expense. I don't think my tube can be unblocked...the RE describes it as "sick" and said it works at about 10%. I have wondered if removing it would help, but I had two surgeries last year and I turn 40 next year and don't want to waste time. Good luck o you.

Thank you. you too. Man, why is it sooo expensive? I mean, it's not like a boob job, or something. its to share our love with a baby!!? Our insurance doesn't cover ivf or iui's either. We had (2) iui's, and they were a bust. I have a meeting with doc next week to discuss unblockage, ivf, or ovulating on the left side. I will keep you in my thoughts/prayers. Best of luck! Oh, and just a side note.. my aunt had endometriosis and blocked fallopian tubes, she tried for 12 years and got pregnant when she turned 40, her son just graduated from college. So, if they could do it way, back then, they probably have even better advances now! Just some encouragement.

Hello there...
Welcome to APA and I'm sorry for your loss. I recently had my left tube removed due to a blocked tube from an ectopic pregnancy. Shortly after the ectopic I had a m/c as well due to anticardiolipin antibodies (causes blood clots in the placenta). I did not know I had that until I started seeing an RE and they started testing me for a million things. My RE said having the tube removed was the best thing I couldve done because if not there is a chance of hydrosalpinx. That is when the fluid in the blocked tube leaks into the uterus and could be detrimental to a fetus.

Definitely listen to your doc but don't be shy here. All the girls are awesome and willing to answer any question you may have. I'm sure there are a few ladies that have been through what you're experiencing!!!

Missy- I am praying your little embryos are growing nice and strong for Monday! I hope the transfer goes perfectly!

Photogirl- Yeah for a big box of meds! I can completely relate to it feeling more real upon their arrival. I guess its game time huh!

Hopeful- I hope that AF shows up soon! Why is it that our bodies never seem to cooperate. I am glad your injection class went well though. My husband was talking about drawing a picture of a bulls eye on my butt! I think he is getting far too much enjoyment out of this!

Mominw8ting- welcome! I understand about the costliness my insurance won't cover anything either! They called me specifically when they saw I was being seen by an RE and wanted to clarify that they cover NOTHING.

Sagan and 41ttc- How are you guys holding up? I am saying prayers that both of you will be getting BFP's next week!!! I hope the time is passing as quickly as it can!

Fia- congrats on the second beta!!!

Kss- I hope you are pregnant right now and you don't need to worry about a next cycle! It sounds like your dr. is great which is one of the most important things!

banphrionsa- wow 12 on one side is great news!

Kim- Love your positive attitude girlie! You are a wonderful role model for the IVF girls...optimism is key to reaching these personal goals of achieving pregnancy...gotta want this bad enough!! Hoping for a BFP, but if things didn't work out, I am 100% behind you with the new protocol!

Sylvia- Great 2nd beta! Keep them numbers climbing! Can't wait to hear 3rd beta and U/S results! Again...CONGRATS!

Donna & Sagan- How are you ladies doing since ET? Any symptoms? Your testing is only a week away and I'm so anxious to hear more BFP stories! You ladies are in my thoughts constantly!!!

Missy- All 5 fertilized...hallelujah!!! That is so awesome! I hope the progress report is that they are all still developing normally and they all make it to Day 5. KUP!!

Wanttobeamommy- Holy crap girl!!! It's one thing to have 18 retrieved, but to have such a HIGH rate of fertilization is unheard of...what they heck were you on getting them eggies ripe! Hope you don't mind me asking...what's your age & what fertility issues did you have to make you consider IVF? KUP on the status of all those embryo's! You should have plenty of snowbabies for future baby-making!!

Ban99- I am so excited for you to have such great results from your stims so quickly...and it will only get better!! Take it easy, but don't stress about hyperstimming...your RE will keep a close eye on that and hopefully keep you from going through that ordeal. Did your RE mention the size of the follies?

Sarah- How goes the stimming?

Adriene- Sorry AF hasn't arrived! Praying all goes well & you get the green light on Monday to start stimming!

Janieleigh501- Good luck on Sunday labs & U/S...hopefully you get your wish & start stimming on Monday! Maybe you & Adriene will be cycle buddies!

Mominw8ting- Sorry about the miscarriage & blocked tube. If your doc has a good reputation for microsurgery, I would let him/her have a stab at removing the blockage. If it doesn't go well, consider having the tube removed. A bad tube will only hurt your chances of getting a BFP and increases the chances for ectopics. I had both tubes (eventually) removed and I've had a lot of experience with bad tubes!

Hope I didn't miss anyone, but if I did, please accept my sincere apology!!! Good luck this weekend & on Monday ladies!!! I'll catch up again on Monday evening!

I'll catch up again on Monday evening!

thank you. Nice to meet you and good luck to you too. it will be nice to meet with them again and discuss all options. will keep you all posted. Thank you for the warm welcome and info!

YAY Missy! Congrats on the 5 beans! I had my u/s today, this is the best my body has EVER done! 12 follies, in one ovary! Last two times I only had 3 follies and 4 follies. I'm a little worried though, this is only day 4, I don't want to hyperstimulate anything...! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
:hooray: Woo-hoo! Awesome news...:vibes: Grow, follies, GROW! :vibes:

Had my second beta today, 725. I go back next Wednesday for Beta#3 and U/S.
:cabbage:  :hooray:  :cabbage: Great numbers!

AFM just plugging away on the lupron. I have my E2 and ultrasound on sun and if all is well I start stimming on monday. I guess I better break out my sweats huh? From what I understand I won't be fitting in my jeans. I am a little nervous to start, so many unknowns. Well, I hope everyone is doing well in their journey!
Hope everything looks good at your U/S on Sunday...:luck:

AFM, I just spoke to the RE's office and I am on Day 9 of Lupron and still no AF. I have an appt to go in on Monday for U/S and B/W. They said if my lining is thick they will do a PG test just in case. Then I will begin stim meds!!! YEAH!!!! Weirdest thing though, my tata's were soar a few days ago and now all of sudden they are not! What is going on in there... Darn Lupron has my body going crazy !!!

DH and I spent a little time last night, going through the contents of the box and making sure everything was there. :shocker: It is a little overwhelming, I must say.

I'm set to cycle in August...I could have cycled in July, but my RE and his nurse will be on vacation right around my estimated time for ER, and I don't want to do this without them.

I'm sure August will be here before I know it....:pace:

AFM, I have never wanted AF to come as bad as I do today and she's not coming....:( I had my injection class today and it looks like DH is going to enjoy "darting" that injection into my (|)... :(

AF is probably thinking we're one set of messed up indicisive you-know-whats; don't know what we want, can't make up our minds. One minute it's stay away witch, then the next it's AF where are you? Why the heck don't you show your ugly face  Hang in there, she'll come soon enough. I did lupron for over 2 weeks because she refused to show on time; hope you won't have to wait that long though :hugs:

I've not really been a big coffee drinker, maybe 4 times a year but I'd definitely suggest you lay of it and wine too. Can never be too careful.

Kim, sounds very optimistic. I'm glad he's willing to work with you. I hope the new protocol works great for you. I'm hoping you're pregnant now too, so that you don't have to go through all that :fingerscrossed:

AFM ~ They just called to say all 5 are fertilized! My RE only does 5DT, so here's to hoping they make it all 5 days!!! ;) Oh, don't have to go to work will July 6th.. I got laid off last month and my new job doesn't start till then! How's everyone else doing in their cycle??

:hooray::hooray: I'm so happy all 5 fertilized :cabbage: Talk about perfect timing, your new job couldn't have come at a better time. Now just focus on your upcoming ET :luck:

Hi, everyone. I am new to IVF sisters. I recenlty had a m/c after 1 & 1/2 years of trying and (2) IUI's. On Monday had an HSG which revealed blocked right fallopian tube. Meeting with him again weds to discuss next steps. Does anyone else have a blocked fallopian tube?

he gave us a few options: 1) ovulate on the left, 2) surgery to fix the blocked tube and 3) IVF. Thanks in advance for your guidance.

:welcome: Sorry to hear about your m/c. :luck: with this try :hugs: Awesome news about your 16 follies; I know you're excited about Sunday. :fingerscrossed: that ET goes well. I'm sure you'll have some snowbabies too.

Wooohoooo 12 follies on one side? Don't worry, I'm sure your RE is monitoring you closely. :fingerscrossed:

Sylvia, I'm probably more anxious than you about that U/S, I can't wait to find out how many are in there. I'm not a gambler but I'm gonna say three  Great second beta #.

Sagan and 41ttc- How are you guys holding up? I am saying prayers that both of you will be getting BFP's next week!!! I hope the time is passing as quickly as it can!

:ty: Rhonda :hugs: Since yesterday I've been having twinges, which I'm trying to be nonchalant about  don't want to get my hopes up. My (.)(.) have been soooooo sore but that's since being on Lupron and it hasn't stopped, so that certainly won't help as a sign. I'm just trying to be cautiously optimistic. Can you believe it? Just one week away for me and a mere few days for Sagan. Between you and me   I think she can POAS already. Sagan, POAS already :laugh:

AFM - I did something soo soooo very stupid today. After ER the nurse warned me, don't pull, push or lift anything heavy. Well, today a coworker asked for help to pull up her foundation garment at the back. Ok, so I figured it was just a little tug, but I had to really give it a few good yanks, then my twinges got worse. I'm probably just being paranoid and stupid, but I just started crying after she left, that I may have destroyed what I've tried so hard for. As I said, maybe I'm just being paranoid but I do believe my IVF is a success and I couldn't bear the thought that I jeopardized it so foolishly. Please tell me I'm being an old paranoid fool :boohoo:

Hey again ladies...so AF has finally arrived here today and we'll be doing another IUI this cycle with injectables. This might be our last one because DH's work might be switching insurance starting in August and it sounds like if they do, it won't be a great plan like we have now, and we had decided that we have t opay large amounts OOP, we're going to d/c fertility treatments and move on.

So, we shall see how this turns out, I guess! Hoping to get in for CD3 BW on Monday morning, but the office is closed all weekend and I don't know if they'll get my message and call me back in time to get in!

Hi All

I started on BC May 25th had my Re appt 27th of May and went for all the necessary blood work along with Dh's blood work. Got my results back within a week. Started Lupron 10cc on June 8th. had my frist u/s with blood work on june 18th along with my af that day too. That same night started on Gonepin( I forget the spelling) 150 units with lurpon 5 cc for two nights then down to 75units still with lurpon 5. Had another u/s with blood work yesterday and they increased my gonepin to 300 units along with the lupron 5 units again tonight and another blood test and u/s in the AM.
I really hope this all works out this month.
Its my frist month on IVF I wasnt sure if its normal to start on a low dose of gonelepin then to drop it and then increase to 300 like that. anyone know the reason behind this? I couldnt ask the nurse when she called me with the results because she left a vm for me and it was after hours.

Hi Ladies....
Well, I had a pretty tramatic last couple days and I don't even know where my head is at right now...
I don't know if some of you remember when I first started this process about 4 weeks ago, I started my protocol with BCP on Day 1 of AF. Well, I got bright red blood when I wiped and thought it was my period so I took my BCP and then AF pretty much stopped the next day. I was confused and thought that maybe the BCP had stopped my period but didn't know for sure. The RE's office said this could happen so I didn't worry and just continued the pills and AF never showed up again.
Fast forward to about 10 days ago when I started the Lupron. Almost immediately after beginning my injections I started having REALLY BAD cramping and clotting. It was like Day 1 of my period as far as cramps go every single day. I asked the nurses about it and they just said that is not normally a symptom of the Lupron but "everyone's body is different" so I just kept chugging along thinking that this was my body's way of handling it.
Well, I stopped the BCP on Tuesday and went in for my third ultrasound on Thursday. My spotting had turned into a full bleed by then and I assumed it was just my period coming since I had stopped the BCP. The ultrasound went great and my E2 level was perfect they said. All things looked absolutely fine and I was directed to start my Gonal-F on Sunday (tomorrow).

That night (Thursday)my cramps were getting really bad and I went to the bathroom to change my tampon (TMI...) and there in the bowl was a round sac of bloody membrane. I absolutely freaked out. I called DH in and we pulled it out and put it in the sink. It was NOT a clot and NOT a glob of CM. It was firm and gummy and round like one of those super large gumballs. It was also whitish grey in color with blood membranes around it. I thought I had miscarried. But how did the RE not see this on all the ultrasounds!?
I called the on call nurse and she said since it's not an emergency that I should call the RE in the am. I didn't sleep the entire night. Just sobbed and sobbed thinking I killed my baby with all the IVF meds.

When I talked to the RE then next morning they had me drive in the sac to pathology to do a workup on it to see what it is. They looked at it and said it could be a miscarriage or it could be a polyup as well. EITHER ONE SHOULD HAVE SHOWN UP ON THE U/S!!! THIS THING WAS BIG. Like 1/4 the size of my palm.

I won't get the results till Tuesday and they said since all my levels were great and my U/S's came back perfect that I should still continue with the IVF cycle as planned and start my stims tomorrow.

I'm praying that the tests show it was a polyup because I don't know what I would do if God blessed me with a baby naturally after over 4 years of trying and I did something to ruin the pregnancy with this IVF cycle.

I feel better about it today since I know that there is nothing I can do about it now but man was I a mess for about 24 hours. I haven't cried that much in years.

I just wanted to share that with you all. Please pray for us that I can handle the results whatever they be.

xoxo & I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Sarah

Sarah :comfort: What a :shock:ing experience to have to go through; good thing you had DH with you at the time and that he's so supportive. I know Tuesday now seems like forever away, but try not to blame or be angry with yourself; it may just be a polyp. I'm praying for you both.

Hey all! I'm in the final stretch of my IVF....Did my transfer on June 23rd and find out if I'm pregnant on July 3rd...I can not wait I'm working until Tuesday then I'm off....So thankful it's very hard to be at work when your anxious to find out :) This was my 2nd cycle of IVF. Jan/Feb of 2009 I tried IUI since my health insurance picked up the cost and before that I did try Clomid....I just had a feeling IVF was my only option.....I have really bad egg quality and may have Endo., but never actually had surgery to see how bad the Endo. is. I love hearing everyone's stories successful or unsuccessful...It's good to hear everything because I have already gone through a unsuccessful cycle due to my egg quality.....Thanks girls!

:welcome: Sherese. Sorry to hear about your endo and your poor egg quality :hugs: Congrats on your ET, :fingerscrossed: for your bfp.

So confused,So sad. I just had another u/s and blood work this morning. I got a call from the on call doctor who advised me to discontinue all meds. My treatment has been stopped do to my body not reacting to the meds. I mean two days ago they bummped up my meds after the supression check. also re decided that since dh morphology level is a 1% he is the main reason at this point why I cant get conceive. If my body was already producing like it should naturally why would they start me on all the ivf? Im so sad I really thought I was going to get my bfp this month.

Kimmie - :comfort: I'm sorry things aren't going right now but hang in there. You might not get your bfp this month and I know how disappointed you must be, but be optimistic that it will happen soon :fingerscrossed: :hugs:

I almost forgot to post; I POAS'ed this morning, not because I was expecting to see bfp, but because I knew it would confirm my suspicion...BFN. My temp drop this morning was a dead giveaway; my charts have the same pattern every month, a huge spike followed by a similarly huge drop and then downhill all the way from there. I know it's still early, only 8dpt but all my pg signs are gone. My (.)(.) had been sooooo sore from the time I was on lupron but now I can bang a brick on them and nothing. I wasn't using that as a pg sign because it started before ET, but if I were really pg the pain and soreness shouldn't have stopped. If anything, it should've remained the same or intensified. The cramps I felt around implantation time...gone; intense tiredness...gone. In their place...nothing. So now I'm just waiting on AF to show :boohoo: :(

Sarah- What a terrifying experience! You must have been so scared and confused...so sorry you went through that, but let's hope it was just a bad ol' polyp and all is well.:grouphug: Good luck on your cycle! Praying all goes well and you get your BFP.:winks:

Donna- I remember how easy it is to think you may have done something to adversely affect your results, but hang in there, you are almost to testing day! I'm sure your babies are just getting a comfortable position so they can be comfortable for the rest of your 9 month pregnancy!!!!:bellyrubs:

Specialgrl- So sorry your cycle has been cancelled. I'm sure the RE will be able to tell you what went wrong and find a protocol that works for you & DH. Hang in there hun!

Sherese12- Welcome!!! I hope this second IVF cycle is your goldmine & you are with us for a short stay! How many did you transfer? Good luck on the rest of your wait. You'll be testing around the same time as some of our other girls (Sagan 7/1 & Donna 7/4).

Kim- Thinking about you girlie!

Photogrl- I am excited you are starting stims...just wanted to wish you luck!!

Wishing everyone a nice Sunday & good start to next week!!

christina, maybe this will be your cycle!! :winks: good luck on your clomid...have you taken the progesterone suppositories before?

No this is my first time with the progesterone.

Well, I didn't have any s/e from the clomid. I thought for sure I would have the hotflashes like last time. Went for my u/s on Saturday and I had 2 dominant follies on my left ovary. So the clomid did work, which I was worried about since no s/e. I started the progesterone last night and so far, no real mess and no s/e yet. I go for b/w for pregnancy on July 13th, but I'll be testing a few days before that. Again, the waiting begins.

Sorry I have been absent. I started a new job and well I can't get on there because I am so slammed...plus I think it is probably blocked.

Update: WAiting on doc to call back with plan of when we can start. I think we might be moving our date to around November if possible but we can't know until he calls!!! Oh well will keep everyone updated.

I read through everyone's updates and it will take me to respond to each and every one but just know I keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers on a daily basis!!!
