Really if it's a day or two off.. you will be fine. One of the other ladies posted that she has a LPD and they check hers on day 2 for "O" and day 7 to see if her levels are staying high and not dropping. My doctor test on 7 dpo.. but if it lands on a weekend he will test a day or two early. Hope that helps.. I don't think you need an U/S.. The progesterone test will let you know weather you "O" or not.

Well.. I'm hurting and cramping on both sides... Feels almost like the month I released more then one egg.. But not quite as bad, yet anyways.

My ovaries are swollen.. I have been going to the bathroom left and right.. don't feel like their is enough room for my bladder. :lol:

I so hope this is the month for us all.

Awww.. You are to sweet! I'm so glad you "Oed" this month too! Well, we all have to stay possitive and keep faith.. We will all get our BFP if not this month.. then next.. but no matter what it's going to happen.

Well, I am having some major painful cramping on my right side.. real low.. like right ovary pain... kinda feels like gas.. but the location of the pain tells me it isn't. I am really tired today.. I just want to stay in bed. I don't even have the energy to take a shower...

I'm here tonight.. We went to my brother in laws house.. Today was his 25th birthday.

I'm doing good.. I am so sore in my lower abdomen, this month I've been hurting on both sides.. My poor ovaries feel so swollen! We managed to BD Fri., Sat. & Sun. so that was good. I had a good dip on Fri. and temps have been headed up since then, which is good. Now.. I'm thinking I'll be 1 dpo tomorrow. So this will start my 2ww.

Hope everyone else is doing well this month!

Sara, How's your tooth feeling tonight? How's everything else going? I haven't looked at your chart today.. I'll have to go and take a look.. is it still cold there at night?

Kristen, I always have a surge for 2 or 3 days while on clomid.. Sounds like you have covered you bases on BDing.. Good Luck this month!

Amy, I hope you are feeling better tonight.. the cramping can be bad some months.. I know how you feel! It will get better though.. Now you get those yucky 2ww symptoms... :roll:

Amy, I'm glad you are feeling better.. Sky rocketing temps are a good sign.. if they stay up.. You are most likely getting a surge of Progesterone.. You should be getting close to your 7 day mark? This could be a fluke temp since you did sleep restless last night..Just have to wait until tomorrow to see what's going on.. but either way you are well above your coverline.. You didn't temp a lot of days I see.. shame shame :lol: :lol:

Sara, Well, I'm glad the tylenol is helping some.. I would just take it every 6 hours so it doesn't get out of your system.. I so hope you are able to get into see a dentist this week. I'm so sorry it's hurting this bad and that you are having a hard time find a dentist that will see you.

As far as your temps.. I don't mean to alarm you.. but I am a little worried about your temps. The temps at the beginning of the month.. the days you were on Clomid.. They tend to be high because of the clomid, which is completely normal. Now.. you could back from your dip 6 days.. and the highest temp and 1/10 is your coverline.. Good news is you are above your coverline.. but not by much and that's what worries me. We will just have to keep watching your temps.. (Hopefully it's due to your exterme temp changes there, house and outside and the window being open.. etc.. It's best if you can keep the temp in the house about the same each night and early morning.) I'll help you keep an eye on your temps this month.. and hopefully we will get good news with the progesterone test and can shed some light on your chart. You go tomorrow for your progesterone right?

Amy and Sara, You don't have to take a opk past your first +, it's the only one that counts.. some do test past the first to see how long their surge last.. I've done it.. being curious. Most womens surges last 1-3 days, especially when on infertility drugs.

Nicole, YAY!!! I know you are so happy that you are finished with the clomid! That's cool your RE is doing the monitored Clomid.. A lot of RE's don't do it.. including my doctor.. You will have to let us know how those follies are doing! Hopefully the clomid lets up for now.. well until you "O".. I always seem to welcome the "O" cramps and pains.. If I don't get them or get them bad.. I worry.. :lol:

Well as for me.. I'm doing good today, I've been in a good mood.. I am still super tender in both my ovaries and across my c-section scar. Cramps, twinges and feel swollen. My progesterone must have kicked in a little.. Got sore nips and painful gas :oops: .. Isn't clomid wonderful! Well, I'm 1 dpo.

How many dpo are you again? I've seen some ladies on here get + results as early as 10 dpo... but that's not thr norm.. Normally women don't get a + until around time for your AF. I always say I'll test the day after my AF is due.. that way.. I don't see that dreeded BFN.. I do take one before I start clomid regardless.

I know what you mean about the boobs.. My nips feel like some one used sand paper on them :shock:

count 14 days from the time you "O".. which if you are 5 dpo.. then July 4th should be the day you get AF.. So I would test on July 5th. normal LP is 12-16 days.. Most women have 14 day LP.. That's what I have too with clomid.

Just thought I would check in before going back to lay down. Clomid is kicking my but in the 2ww.. My progesterone levels must be kind of high.. My nips are extermely sensitive.. Feel like they have been rubbed for hours with sand paper. My temps did good this morning.. My coverline is 97.2 and was getting off to a rocky start with the last two days being 97.6.. Which looks like I "O" on the temp day of 97.3 (which would make me 3 dpo today.. I was thinking before that I was 2 dpo today.. but after seeing my temps not move for two days.. Feel that my chart is showing Sat. as "O" day.. which I got "O" pains earlier that day.. which I normally don't get them until the middle of the night.) and today I was 98.0 Hopefully they stay up and/or keep getting higher!!!! This 2ww just begun and I'm already ready for it to be over.. I'm ready to POAS.. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Oh yea.. Ovaries are still swollen..Hurts when I cough or any moving and pulling. It was in both sides this month... Last month one side and the month before both sides. So we will see.. ... ... ... ... ...

My Clomid check was Fri. the 22nd on CD22, doc also sent me to the lab for a progesterone level check. Doc told me he wanted to see it above 10. I called the office today to get the results...I was really hoping for a nice high # 'cause of all the hot flashes, bloating, and discomfort this month. The lab says it was an 11. :?

Is an 11 good enough? I'm in the 2ww now and AF is due on Sat 6/30...I really want a BFP...don't we all!?! :lol:

Oh, this TTCing is driving me crazy!!! :roll:

Anyway, I think my temp yesterday was a fluke because I was so restless that night... I slept pretty good last night though... This waiting thing this month is pure torture... I don;t recall other months being like this...I think I am so anxious this month because of the Clomid... I don't know.. grrrr... I am so pi$$y today.. :evil: Hopefully tomorrow or later today will be better...

And yes, I am glad that they are monitoring me...I was supposed to be mon'ted last month but no one told me that and the day just passed by! :roll: Although, getting u/s when you are being mon'ted is not cheap! Insurance doens't cover it and it's $150 per u/s!! :shock:

Amy - I'm sorry your day is crappy and I too hate the hospitals when they won't give me an anwer over the phone! Idiots! They wouldn't give me DH's s/a over the phone cause it had to be him calling...well, he can't call at work and by the time he gets off, they are closed!! WTH! 11 means you ovulated.. which is good.. They tend to like to see it around 15 or over on a medicated cycle. Anything over 10 means you ovulated though.. Mine tends to run around 19.. But I have had it as low as 14 and as high as 27.. The size of the follie and how many you release also play a role in how much progesterone is released. The month I had 27 I released more then one. Good Luck!

I'll have to go and look at your chart.. Well.. That could be since you didn't sleep well.. that will make your temp higher. You have the clo-moodies.. as I call them.. I had the mood swings BAD last month.

On the results.. It took all my blood work forever to come in.. so I know how you feel. I would call your RE and see if they can call and get it faxed over to them. Let us know when you find out. Hope your day goes better!

Yea.. That can get expensive.. but at least you will have some peace of mind knowing exactly what your follies are doing and how many.

HE GAVE ME A SCRIPT FOR PROVERA (WHICH DOES HORRIBLE THINGS TO ME-BAD CRAMPS-SO I CAN'T STAND UP STRAIGHT-AND A MIGHTY AF,,,) IT SUCKS... THEN HE UP'ED MY DOSE OF CLOMID TO 100MG---DAYS 3-7 AGAIN... SO I FELT LIKE CRAP MOST OF THIS MONTH. AND NOW NEXT MONTH IS GONNA BE WORSE!!!! HE TOLD ME TO STOP TEMPING UNTIL AF SHOWS, AND TO START THE PROVERA TODAY!!!! I JUST WANNA DIE...

SarahH...I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. :cry: I know it is frustrating and some days you just feel like giving up, but you can't. It sounds like you have a wonderful DH who is very supportive. It will happen for the both of you! Keep your chin up. :wink:

Sarah 111...Sorry for you loss. :cry: I know how hard that is to go through. As far as the Clomid goes, there is one kind, but you can get name brand or generic. I have always gotten name brand ~ Clomid. It is not expensive and I know it works so I have never thought about changing. It sounds like you are on the right track to getting started. Once you start AF and your Clomid, just remember to take it at the same time each day. I also recommend using OPKs, temping and charting (if you can, I don't), getting your progesterone drawn at 7dpo that way you KNOW if you O or not and know if your dose needs to be increased. Paula is our specialist! :lol: She can give you lots of good advice! Glad you are here. You will find it very supportive. :D

Sara, .. A LH surge (+opk) Doesn't mean you "O".. It does mean that a surge happen and that you should "O" with in 12-36 hours.. but many things can happen where the egg still doesn't release. This happens a lot in women with PCOS, the egg turns into a cyst. Now.. What I don't understand is.. Your house has been going through major temp changes which can affect your BBT. (Did you tell him this??) I would have told him I would feel better if you would humor me and go ahead and give me a progesterone test.. I agree that you didn't really have a major temp shift.. this is why I was worried about your temps. Your Chart should show a clear temp change... and well yours didn't. It showed a small rise which was only 1/10 over the cover line.. I would make sure you request a MLP for your next cycle.. he shouldn't have a problem given you the test.. it's not like he's the one paying for it! I'm on a 100 mg.. and this may be what you needed to get that BFP.. I'm so sorry it was bad news and that you are having such a bad day.. You got to stay positive though.. It's going to happen!!!! I had never heard of Progyluton.. I did look it up and it's an estrogen.. There is not really a lot of info out there about it and it's not really given that often. What was your estrogen levels? They must be really low for them to give you that.. Now... Clomid.. tricks your brain into thinking their is not enough estrogen in your body which tricks your PituitaryGland into releasing FSH which causes the egg to grow and mature.. once they mature the LH hormone surges and if all goes well the biggest egg is released. If you have no other problems.. and you time BD.. Then yes Clomid can help you become pregnant, by helping you "O". Some of us have had to have our mg adjusted over a couple of cycles though.. So with your Imbalance it's possible they may have to up your Mg of clomid.. 50 is what they start everyone out at. It doesn't matter which brand of clomid you use.. it's all the same. I'm so sorry for your loss! Hopefully the clomid will help you "O"! I'm on clomid because I don't have AF's every month on my own and when I do I produce immature eggs due to PCOS.. I have had three confirmed M/C because of this.. My doctors say I probably had many more and just didn't know it. I hope everything works out for you and you don't have to be on the meds for long. Have they diagnose you?

Awww.. I'm so sorry Amy.. I hope you are feeling better tonight.. I've been having one of those days too.. My nips are still killing me.. My ovaries both sides still feel swollen and have been having cramping as well... and have been very gassy :oops: both ends.. way TMI.. sorry..lol.. I know that's due to the progesterone.. but it's leaving me very uncomfortable.. I've also been nauseated too.. Tonight my DH took me to eat at Red Lobster.. Which I couldn't finish my food.. Then we went to Target.. (BAD BAD BAD.. We bought some baby stuff that was on sale) then on the way home I picked DS (16 yr old) some food up from Arbys.. Well.. We had to roll all the windows down.. the smell of his food made me so sick.. I felt like I was going to vomit all over the car.. my throat was even swelling. My stomach is just now settling down.. Clomid can be so cruel.. I wouldn't mind sleeping by the toilet because of M/S and wouldn't even care if my boobs felt like they were going to fall off.. as long as I had a Big beautiful BFP!

7.9....I was told on a medicated cycle with Clomid it should be above 15 and on a non-med cycle it should be 10. On 50 mg I got an 9.4 and 11.8 on 2 cycles and had to be upped to 100 mgs for not ovulating well. I have never heard below 10 being normal and considered a good ovulation. Maybe Paula knows something.

Maybe they said 17.9...that would be more like it. All the research and info I have gotten from my RE and OB says it must be above 10 to indicate ovulation. Most RE's require above 15 when on fertility meds. Paula may know something on this...all docs are different and maybe hers has another standard they go by.

Honestly, it coincides with a weak ovulation that is non-viable. My temps did that when my Progesterone was below 15. I would only get to 7-9 DPO and then AF would come. The four times I got PG with bad Progesterone levels and weak ovulations I m/c each time. That is when they upped me to 100 mg of Clomid and gave me Prometrium.

Now my 2-4 DPO Progesterone to prove 'o' happened is between 16-25 usally and at 7 DPO to be sure I am not dropping in Progesterone is over 26...which is what they want for a healthy PG.

I personally think you need a higher dose of Clomid. A temp drop that significant is not a very welcoming sign. It could be a fluke temp...but who knows. I still think 7.9 is too low from what I know. I am hoping Paula's RE has a different scale...as I hate being the party pooper all the time and would like to be wrong on this :(

Are you seeing an RE? I mean thatis really weird. I called my RE and asked what the normal numbers were and if they were universal and she said 10 is the ultimate lowest to confirm ovulation and it was universal. I am totally confused now.

My OB used to tell me things were okay when they weren't and that is why I left him. He misdaignosed me 3 times and could have cared less about my numbers...it cost me 5 babies.

I hope Paula can shed some light on this. She has much more knowledge about assisted repro than I do. I have only done Clomid.

she isn't an RE... we don't have one in my area.. My docotor, shes a CFNP. (not sure what it is.. ceritifed somethin or other) she's been real straight forward with me. But I am wondering what the heck is going on now. I always thought 10 or above was what it was supposed to be for a viable ovulation. Progesterone levels vary considerably from cycle to cycle and woman to woman, both non-pregnant and pregnant. So the levels can only be averages and they change with the timing of the cycle. In general, the midluteal (middle of the second half of the cycle) progesterone in a non-pregnant patient is 8 to 10, but can be as high as 20 ng/ml. In a pregnancy cycle, it should be greater than 10 to 12 ng/ml to have a better chance of a good pregnancy outcome, but in general, we like to see 16 or over.

Everyone you ask will have slightly different numbers. Also there are differences as to what to do if the levels are low, with some docs giving progesterone (pills, shots, suppositories) and others not treating unless there has been some proof of a preexisting low progesterone in non-pregnancy cycles.

A certilfied nurse practicianer. They do not know all the ins and outs on fertility. Is this CFNP with your general practicianer or OB? Really, the RE is the best option. I waisted $20,000, 2 years, and 5 babies with a OB and GP. Becareful, is all I am saying. I would not want what happened to me to happen to you too.

I was told my insurence does not cover IF either...yet the way the RE bills it they do cover...except meds. Have you talked to your OB...sometimes they know more than a GP. They are the middle man. Your GP could make you a referral to an OB who knows more about IF and could help you.

Amy, I am so sorry.. Your temp drop doesn't look good and it's to early for it to be taking a dive, it shouldn't take a dive until just before AF.. Also I agree with Kimmie.. They like to see 15 or over for medicated cycles and 10 and over for un-medicated cycles. Any # over 5 means you ovulated from what I remember.. I'll have to go back and look.. but normally if it's under 10 it's not viable and was most likely an immature egg released I was so hoping you heard the doctor wrong and it was 17.9.. What's your diagnose again? I agree with Kimmie.. they need to up your dose of clomid.. , they need to up the dose so you will ovulate stronger with bigger follies... You may want to ask to be monitored as well.. If AF comes early.. then you may be having a problem with your LP. I really think you need to get you an OB/GYN.. someone who may be more specialized in infertility issues. Just as Kimmie said.. I am so sorry to give you bad news.. This month all we can do is wait and see what happens.. But if AF comes then I would ask for them to up the dose to 100mg. (((HUGS))) The main thing right now is to get you on the right dose and ovulating strongly so that you can get pregnant!


Sara, It's perfectly normal for you to be upset.. right out mad and even envy others who don't have to go through what we do.. Each month I get AF.. It really breaks my heart.. Makes me mad.. and I so envy those who get their BFP's .. Don't get me wrong.. I'm happy for them.. but I can't help but wish it was me. So I know how you feel.. I'm sure everyone here knows exactly what you are going through right now.. and if you need to vent we are here for you. Just keep saying to yourself.. It's going to happen.. I will get my BFP! I know you have limited time.. What I would do is.. give clomid three months.. then move on to something else if it doesn't work for you and your insurance will pay for it. Don't give up Amy.. I've been doing this since 2001 with a few breaks in between.. I know how hard it is and exactly how you feel. But it will happen.. Their are women on these boards who have been doing this longer then me and some not as long as me and got their BFP's. You see BFP's on the boards every day.. I can imagine on the 9th if AF comes.. I will even be in a worse state this month because as of right now it will be my last month on Clomid.. my RE wants me to move on to lap and ivf, especially because of my age.. can't spend to much time on one thing.. Running out of time I guess.. I don't really feel old though..lol... I'm so scared.. I feel like everyone else who is faced with infertility and feel like nothing is going to work at times.. I do want to tell ya'll that I have seen lots of ladies who have gotten pregnant on Clomid.. It doesn't always happen on the first try and some time doesn't until the 3 or 4th or more tries.. A really good friend of mine.. She has PCOS too and on top of that she had a really high thyroid.. I talked her into going to my doctor a while back.. She went on clomid.. The second month they bumped her up to 100 mg.. and the third month she got pg.. One of the ladies that was posting here.. Got pregnant on her first month on clomid.. It happens.. I'm sure if my husband and I didn't have the problems we are having with his back.. it's possible.. We might would be pg as well. I just really think you both need to hang in there.. If clomid isn't for you.. Then their are other things you can do.. Just stay positive..

It is like Clomid roulette. It can take a bit to find the right dose. I would get an OB so they will up your dose for next cycle. It really sucks to have to try so hard. We have been at this for so long now. It actually has become 2nd nature - scarey enough.

Well, I had my u/s this AM. Dr. said things look good. I have several follies in my right ovary but non of them are mature. I have one "nice" follie in my Left ovary that currently measures 16mm give or take. They are hoping to do my 2nd IUI on MONDAY!! :shock: I was soooo surprised! B/c last month, my IUI wasn't until CD20. I had 2 follies that I Oed last month but when I talked to the Dr. today she was going over my records from last month with me, comparing this cycle with last. She then informed my that my estridol levels were only 168 last month. ONLY?!?! I was like, so, that's not good? She said, no, not for 2 eggs. I was like, WTH?? Why did no one tell me this last month!?! In any event, I had to do more blood work. They drew blood for estridol and LH levels. I should have results soon...I hope. She also told me that my uterine lining measures about 5.8 mm right now. She said she wants it to be a little thicker b/f O. They went ahead and gave me my trigger and I'll find out later when I'm to use it.

Please pray for me, girls! Pray that this is it! Pray that this single little follie is all that's needed.

I'll keep ya posted on what the BW results are. ;)

A mature follie is over 18 mm and yours will be there tomorrow...they grow 2 mm per day. That is why your surge has not happened yet...it will soon and the Sat trigger will be perfect. Your follie should be 20 mm and with the extra 24 hours for release about 22-24 mm when 'o'd. Did that make sense to anyone else :shock:

Kimmie, I know how you feel.. It feels 2nd nature to me too. I also understand both ends of losing a BFP and going a long period without a BFP. It's hard either way to me. Month before last I had found out I released to eggs.. I didn't get a BFP.. But I still felt like I lost twins.. The M/C's I went through were terrible to go through and sometimes I feel each month I don't get a BFP.. I still feel like I've lost. Does that make sense? I hope that you get your miracle soon!

I'm 5 days past "O" temps are looking good so far.. My chart is under the www button, if anyone wants to take a look. My cover line is 97.2.. Sara.. my af is due on July 8th.. So I will most likely test on the 9th if AF doesn't show her face, well that's if I don't break down and test before hand. I go to see the RE on July 12th.

Today has been a long day.. We went and looked at land and new cars.. I looked at a Honda Odyssey Touring van and my DH looked at an Chevy Avalanche. With all the planning for the new house.. That we should have by the end of the year.. if all goes well.. It's has been keeping me busy.. tomorrow.. I'll be meeting with the realtor and tomorrow night we have a 4th of July balloon glow, concert and fireworks that we are going too.. So it helps to stay so busy.

I hope all is going well with everyone! You all are in my thoughts and prayers.. Even though I’ve been busy and have not been on a lot during the day.. I still think about you guys and hope everything is ok with you. (((HUGS)))

I completely understand Paula. I too feel like I lose each month. I see 1-3 huge follies on the screen and AF comes like clockwork. I think that is why I am so excited about the trigger shot...i will finally see 2 lines for the 1st time in over a year. I still get bummed out from time to time...but I am so used to this game it does not really phase me any more. I think I will have a hard time not TTCing when I do get and stay PG. I will want to TTC right after birth from the 9 mos of withdrawl!!

Now I'm freaking out though! My Estradiol level was only 76!! According to those sites, it should be over 150. I mean, even if it doubled in the next 3 days, it would still be borderline. Why did they tell me this is normal!?!?!? I'm so worried that this will have a negative effect and there won't be conception even with IUI. :cry:

Hopefully they are thinking you are on track and that your #'s will double.. I know from some of the things I read.. that it goes up and peaks around the same time as your LH. Anytime they do any b/w on me.. when I get the results.. I ask for the normal range for that lab.. It's normally on a lab reports and see what they range as normal for this phase.. You may just be on the low end of normal, and that would be the resason they said it was normal. I didn't want to scare or upset you.. But wanted you to know the info I found. Call your doctors office and get her to get your results back out.. Tell her you were doing some reading and wanted to make sure.

I know it's hard but still try to stay positive, you are still a couple of days off from your IUI.. a lot can change hormone wise in that time. As I'm sure a lot has changed from when you had the test done. So try not to worry. (((HUGS))) You will be in my thoughts and prayers!!!

I can see me 8 mos PG having DH put the BBT in my hooha!!! LOL!! I got my 1st pos OPK of the cycle...I get 2-3 each cycle due to Clomid. Once the OPK and CBEFM are in sync (next 2 days) I will trigger!!! I will 'o' earlier than I thought, but I am still on HIGH and PEAK should happen tomorrow or Sun. I 'o' on the 2nd PEAK. So I am thinking 24-48 hours and it is trigger time.

Paula, Don't worry...you didn't upset me. I didn't mean for it to come across like that. :oops: I am just so incredibly nervous and scared. This may be the last medical treatment we get to do. I can't continue to afford the medical bills that this is costing. Insurance doesn't cover any of it. I just don't want to "waste" money if my hormones aren't going to cooperate for this cycle, KWIM? I feel like I can't trust what they tell me...last month they said my levels were normal at 168 and I didn't know any better until after the fact. After reading all that information, now I know how NOT normal those levels were. I was supposed to of been at around 600 last month! That is such a significant difference! I don't really have any other option but to trust what they tell me. I will voice my opinion when I go in on MON for the IUI though. I want answers. I just wish had an endless amount of $$ so that I could do all the med. treatment I wanted and give all you guys $$ to do the same. :( Unfortunately, I keep having to rob Peter to pay Paul, ya know? My med bills alone last cycle were $1,200. Add that to the mortage and ALL the other mandatory bills and I'm really stretching it thin!

The results are in...my progesterone was a whopping 14.2! ugh *feels like someone hit me in the stomach* My previous months results were 20.8 and 22.6. Of course that was on 200mg and I only took 100mg this month. (sounds like I need the 200mg) I really felt like they would call and say that it was 30-something. I did have it drawn a day early, but I know it should still be above 15. I really really felt like this was our month. I am trying to stay hopeful...it is just not coming easy after hearing that.

Found this info:

A progesterone test is done to confirm ovulation. When a follicle releases its egg, it becomes what is called a corpus luteum and produces progesterone. A level over 5 probably indicates some form of ovulation, but most doctors want to see a level over 10 on a natural cycle, and a level over 15 on a medicated cycle. There is no mid-luteal level that predicts pregnancy. Some say the test may be more accurate if done first thing in the morning after fasting.

So...since I was not fasting and my level was drawn a day early...what are the chances it is off by 0.8??? Ammuse me, please! :lol:

I was talking to DH about my temps and ttcing and telling him about some of the things everyone here has dealt with....including the Clomid and how some of the ladies on here have been taking it for so long. He said he doesn't want to have anything to do with fertility drugs...he doesn't think they are good for me and doesn't want to deal with 5 premature babies...and some other stuff. I said not everybody who takes it has multiple births. told him that Clomid would probably be the next step if the Metformin doesn't work. I told him that I wanted to give it a shot but wasn't keen on the idea of taking for months and months. He said he didn't want to have anything to do with it. Now I am upset....what if the metformin doesn't work? I think I want to cry...

So sorry. Does he know that with Clomid there really is a very low risk of multiples. I think there is only a 10% chance of twins and it goes down drastically after that. (10% is the highest # I found in any study) There really is a very low chance of triplets and more. I think he might change his mind if he read up on Clomid. Most people hear "fertility drugs" and there brain does not make it past that....they picture 5 or 6 babies! :lol: That really is not the case with Clomid. Not saying that it couldn't happen, but it is not likely, when speaking about more than twins. HTH.

I hope he comes around. Let us know! Good luck to you this month. I really hope the metformin works and you don't even have to worry about CLOMID!!!

Awww.. I'm so sorry Susan. I think it's the unknown for some men that may scare them that it may cause the child to be born with birth defects. Really for women like me.. before I went on Clomid I had three m/c because the eggs I was producing on my own were immature. On my own I had a greater chance of having a baby with birth defects then with fertility drug help, because my hormones were so out of wack! Clomid doesn't raise the % much on multiple babies.. Now.. some of your injectable do and IVF has a higher risk of twins if more then one egg is transferred. Do you know anyone that lives near by that's been through any of this? Maybe they can sit down and tell your DH their experience.. I'm sure he is pretty stubborn.. I would say take him to the doctor with you and have the doctor explain. I just really feel for you.. I wish he was more understanding then he is being! Most doctors won't allow you to be on Clomid for more then 6 months in a row.. Yes.. I've been on 15 cycles of clomid but this is over a 6 year period.. the first two were 6 months each.. and this one is 3 months.. After this month if no bfp for me then I move to Lap and IVF. Their are a lot of women clomid helps and some it doesn't. It's always the one of the first that doctors try. I see you are on met.. Do you have PCOS? What were your glucose & insulin levels before going on met?

Of course that was on 200mg and I only took 100mg this month. (sounds like I need the 200mg) I really felt like they would call and say that it was 30-something. I did have it drawn a day early, but I know it should still be above 15. I really really felt like this was our month. I am trying to stay hopeful...it is just not coming easy after hearing that.

It can still be your month.. You did "O" either way it goes.. So just hang in there and don't give up yet.. This is your first month doing the dose you were suppose to do. Yes they like to see it 15 or over.. Which could have changed in a day.. Since you were at 14.2.. Anything over 5 is an "O" over 10 can be a nice viable "O". What did your doctor say when they told you the results?





Paula, Don't worry...you didn't upset me. I didn't mean for it to come across like that. I am just so incredibly nervous and scared. This may be the last medical treatment we get to do. I can't continue to afford the medical bills that this is costing. Insurance doesn't cover any of it. I just don't want to "waste" money if my hormones aren't going to cooperate for this cycle, KWIM? I feel like I can't trust what they tell me...last month they said my levels were normal at 168 and I didn't know any better until after the fact. After reading all that information, now I know how NOT normal those levels were. I was supposed to of been at around 600 last month! That is such a significant difference! I don't really have any other option but to trust what they tell me. I will voice my opinion when I go in on MON for the IUI though. I want answers. I just wish had an endless amount of $$ so that I could do all the med. treatment I wanted and give all you guys $$ to do the same. Unfortunately, I keep having to rob Peter to pay Paul, ya know? My med bills alone last cycle were $1,200. Add that to the mortage and ALL the other mandatory bills and I'm really stretching it thin!

I KWUM.. I don't have insurance so everything is out of pocket for me too, So I know how you feel. It's rather expensive.. If I didn't have some money coming in in about another month for something that happen years ago.. I wouldn't be able to afford the IVF I may have to have in a couple of months. Thank God for that.. or Clomid would be my only option and I think it's time to move on if I'm not pg after this month. Most people don't do 15 cycles like I have. Good Luck monday.. No, my doctor doesn't do the test every month.. once you "O" they know they don't have to adjust the meds so they only do the test until they feel they have me on the right dose.

Well, let me know what all he has to say on Monday.. Did you ever tell him that you were doubling up on doses? I really hope you get a bfp this month but if not.. I would have then monitor you on the next cycle if at all possible.

Yea.. I always at least try to wait until AF is late.. I hate seeing BFN's.. I hate seeing AF show her ugly face as well. I will probably end up testing early.. but I'm going to try and wait. When are you planning on testing?

Awww.. I'm so sorry Susan. I think it's the unknown for some men that may scare them that it may cause the child to be born with birth defects. Really for women like me.. before I went on Clomid I had three m/c because the eggs I was producing on my own were immature. On my own I had a greater chance of having a baby with birth defects then with fertility drug help, because my hormones were so out of wack! Clomid doesn't raise the % much on multiple babies.. Now.. some of your injectable do and IVF has a higher risk of twins if more then one egg is transferred. Do you know anyone that lives near by that's been through any of this? Maybe they can sit down and tell your DH their experience.. I'm sure he is pretty stubborn.. I would say take him to the doctor with you and have the doctor explain. I just really feel for you.. I wish he was more understanding then he is being! Most doctors won't allow you to be on Clomid for more then 6 months in a row.. Yes.. I've been on 15 cycles of clomid but this is over a 6 year period.. the first two were 6 months each.. and this one is 3 months.. After this month if no bfp for me then I move to Lap and IVF. Their are a lot of women clomid helps and some it doesn't. It's always the one of the first that doctors try. I see you are on met.. Do you have PCOS? What were your glucose & insulin levels before going on met?

Thanks Paula...you are so sweet! I feel so supported here. I am going to try to educate DH on the Clomid....maybe taking him to the doctor with me is a good idea.

No blood tests were done before my doc put me on the metformin. She just went by what was in my file.

First let me explain my doc situation. I had a OB-GYN for years...since I was about 15. When I first went to him he did blood work to see why I hadn't had a period for about a year. I think he said the levels were in the normal range (don't remeber what they were) and put me on BC. About 6 years ago I went to a GYN who was supposed to be good with PCOS patients. He did a vaginal u/s and diagnosed me. He put me on metformin but it made me so sick and I wasn't wanting to be PG then that I stopped taking it and went back on the pill. He was a few hours away do I decided not to go back...to far for me to drive. Then my regular doc retired and now I have a new one. Everything I have had done is in my file so I guess she thought why test again.

Maybe if the met doesn't work I need to request some tests?

I'm here. Been busy painting my kitchen. ANyways.. I have noticed my temp is staying above my coverline... so thats good right? I don't feel preg though.. HPT was neg yesterday. I figure its too early. Although my hopes are pretty much shot... but it still aint over till AF shows. I am trying to stay optimistic. Hopefully we will all be surprised.... but then again... i am not holding my breathe.

WOW.. You are going to be busy.. and busy after the two day party with cleaning.. You have a lot of work to keep you busy over the week. Sorry to hear about your grandpa.. Alzheimer is a really sad thing to happen to an older person. Both my grandpa's had advance and my grandmother was starting to get moderate when she passed at the beginning of this year. I was really close to one of my grandpa's and was super close to my grandmother who passed. My other grandmother passed a year after my dad did when I was little.. I was three when my dad died from cancer and 29 when my mom died from cancer. I don't have any grandparents or parents left. So cherish the time you have with him. dang.. I didn't mean for this to turn out so sad! I'm sorry about that!! Well, I'm glad you are well on your way into your next cycle. I really think you will do well on the 100mg. Have lots of fun this week at your party :)

Hey Amy....I think a break is good after what you have been through recently. I know the want for a child and wonderful life. But, under your current situation you may want to re-think if that can happen in your current situation. I have not commented on that before as I thought it was not my place. But I feel really bad for what has gone on in your life the past while. I would recommend a counselor and anti-depressents. When I went through this with my son's father it helped me so much. Now I have a LOVING and RESPECTFUL DH and it was worth working on myself and getting on my own. I wish you lots of love and sanity in this time of pain. Do not take it apart hun!! The second light line is LH not hCG and should not be looked at. You should have seen me ripping those apart and being so sure I was PG when they 1st came out. One time I was PG...and the 99 times I was not...LOL!! Go get a nice FRER test...they are great!! Good luck and BFP dust!!

while on clomid.. I have it through out the month at different times. Including during my 2ww. This is one of those things that is different for each woman.. You still have a chance! Kristen has been on clomid for a couple of months and this month her progesterone was a little on the low side and look at her now!!! So don't give up hope.. I read Kimmie's post... I don't want to get into your business.. but just wanted to tell you if you ever need to talk.. You can always PM me if you need to. You have been through so much and you are one of the ladies here that I feel close to. I wish you all the luck in the world.. Things will turn around for you.. just wait and see. (((HUGS)))

Update on me....CD33 and still no AF. I don't even feel like she's coming, but I'm sure that's my mind messing around with me. :roll: I haven't tested again yet, 'cause I don't want to see that BFN again...but I guess I should go get one and POAS tomorrow morning. I'll make sure to get FRER and hope for the best! The only symptom I've felt is sore BB when I was working out at the gym yesterday...

:lol: I'm trying my best to hold out until the 9th.. it's only 5 1/2 days away.. :lol: I'm feeling ok.. I felt a little bit sick to my stomach last night.. But I think it was because of the gas, progesterone makes me :oops: burb and be gassy :oops: You know my nipples have been tender off and on.. and today.. my bb's seems to be sore at times. I've got a slight headache right now.. I guess I've been feeling a little down and some what emotional. I haven't really had any type of cramping this time in 2ww. Maybe a twinge once in a while.. but that could be the gas :oops: .. My temps have been staying up pretty good. That's all that been going on though.

So what about you?? How are you feeling??? Have you had any cramping or anything? Still emotional?? Need all the details lady!!! I don't remember.. did you have a chart? I would love to see what your temps have looked like since "O" for you??

Sarah and Paula...the only new symptom is that I have been cramping a little and hurting on my right side. I am pretty sure that is the side that I O from. :D

Paula...I am going Thursday for a progesterone level and BETAhcg!!! :D Then I will go back and have the levels rechecked on Saturday and see the DR on Monday at 9:30. :D He is starting me on Prometrium at night. So, that is just progesterone, right? It just kinda startled me when she said the name b/c it is what we take to induce AF! :shock: Don't want to get that mixed up!!! lol :lol: I never started temping. I always am up at different times and was never fully committed to doing it, so I just quit. Sad, I know. I am still emotional, that is probablly not going to get any better ~ only worse! Yep, Prometrium is just progesterone.. They are probably going to give you that because your levels were some what low when you had your test done. Yes it's used to induce AF.. It does the same thing our body does.. after "O" our progesterone rises and falls right at AF.. So when we take progesterone.. when we stop taking it it drops and cause AF to come. So you are perfectly safe taking it.. You will most likely have to take it through your first 12 weeks. Well when you go to the doctor.. I want details.. so make sure you pm me!!!!

I visited my RE today and guess what she again had some changes done in my medication :x .. she said i should Continue PROGYLUTON while on Clomid 50MG and the days i should take Clomid are 2-6, when i asked her for baby aspirin she said she never heard of givin that with Clomid..
She also said that it was not necassary for me to come and have an u/s ever other week.. she said if me n DH B/Dd every other day that was the best way to concieve.......

Lemme tell u my last u/s was abt 6 mnths ago.. mayb she found every thing right n did not recommend u/s every othe week..

I am so confused.. is any one of u taking clomid without being monitered???
I am a little confused also in.. should i take baby aspirin or not??I think if it causes no harm, precautionally i should take it..

Baby asprin should only be taken if you have clotting disorders. It can cause severe birth defects for those who are on it if they should not be. Only use baby asprin if your doc says so.

As far a monitoring Clomid cycles here is how mine works with my RE:

CD 3 u/s and BhCG to be sure not PG and my ovaries have no cysts

Clomid on prescribed CDs (I have done 1-5, 3-7, and 5-9) depending on how late you 'o'...the earlier you take it the ealrier you 'o' which is better.

Use OPKs starting 5 days after last Clomid pill....sooner can cause false pos due to Clomid.

First pos OPK call the RE and then trigger with hCG shot for egg maturity.

Start Prometrium 72 hours after the trigger shot

Go in for BhCG at 16 DPO if no AF. If AF repeat above.

I already had my u/s for eggs and uterine lining on Clomid so I do not need to have one each month.

My clomid experience has been somewhat monitored...I take 50mg on days 5-9 and then BD every other day from CD 12 'til AF shows. My doc likes to see me anywhere between CD 20 - 24 to do a Clomid check. He does not perform an ultrasound...just does an internal :roll: and presses on my abdomen to check for ovarian cysts. Then off to the lab for bloodwork to check my progesterone levels. Every doc does it different...Good luck!

Hi Sarah, I'm not being monitored.. My doctor has never monitored me.. other then looking at my charts and progesterone test and I take a hpt every month even if I get AF.. I have to take an HPT before starting clomid.

A lot of people here on APA feel differently about the Baby Aspirin.. some RE's suggest it and some don't. My RE does give it to all her patients, no matter what their situation is. My RE says it's completely safe to take.. me and some of the other ladies did a lot of research on baby aspirin and found that it can help increase blood flow to the uterus which will help the lining thicken. The tread is in STC.. I don't take anything unless my RE knows I'm taking it. Did she tell you it was ok for you to take it, even though she had never heard of taking it before?

When I asked my RE about it, his opinion was that for me there was no real benefit, but said that if I felt that there was- I could go ahead and take it as there is no harm in it.

This is so true.. As we all know I go to a teaching school clinic for my treatment.. The guy who is over it is the best in the south and is well respected in the infertility field. Now.. at the clinic.. I see real RE's who teach.. the first time I went I saw a resident/ student, but because of my previous IF problems and PCOS.. I see the teachers I guess I should say.. The one's over the resident/students. To get to my point.. the first one I saw for the first couple of appts. said she saw no harm in it and that it's fine to take.. and the one I've been seeing since her.. which I hope I get to stay with.. because the first one I didn't really click with. This one gives it to all her patients.. she's also the one who wants to do the lap and possibly IVF, the first doctor just seemed to want me to try Clomid again and didn’t have a real plan. It's a slight difference.. but this slight difference is within one clinic. Reading everyone's stories on APA.. I have really notice how different everyone's RE's are. I guess it boils down to where they got their medical degree at and how they were taught.. to what they have learned researching since being out of school and in practice.

I do a lot of research on my own and if I decide I want to try something.. I bring it up to my RE (which is who I am trusting my fertility and life with).

I've had so many ask me what does my doctor say and do... Even though my doctor does one way for me.. doesn't mean that another doctor will do the same. That's why it's so important that a lot of the questions that get asked here on APA.. also need to be passed by our doctors for reassurance and approval.

OMG I feel like I'm up on a :soapbox: and am going on and on.. :lol: :lol: :lol:

P.S. Those of you who are researching aspirin need to make sure they are researching baby aspirin 81mg and please before adding anything to your routine please pass it by your RE and get their opinion as well. Adult aspirin at 325mg can cause birth defects as well as many other problems. But baby aspirin 81mg is proven safe for many different things including ttc/pg.

I'm almost at the end of my 2ww.. I have two days left and if no af I'll test at that time. My temps are still up.. last two days 98.2 (chart is under the www button) Been having a few symptoms.. but have been trying not to pay them any attention since it could just be the clomid.. Clomid can be so cruel some times.

I'll probably be in and out over the weekend.. I'm doing a lot of research right now.. trying to get ready for my RE appt next week.

Hi Sara.. I missed ya this week.. glad you are back now!!! Eww.. Not good.. I'm sorry you got stuck with the big clean up. At least the party went well and you had a good time. Well.. it sounds like you could be getting AF anytime then.. So you will be on 100mg of clomid this time? Days 5-9 still?

Well.. I guess this is my last month on Clomid, hopefully it ends with a BFP.. but if not.. I'm doing some research so i can be better prepared for my meeting with my RE on Thursday.. I have somethings I want done before starting IVF.. I'm also going to talk to her about Femara. So we will see..

Symptoms Are.. Sleeping A LOT.. Took a 3 hour nap on Wed... and wanted to go back to bed so bad all evening.. Yesterday.. I slept to 1pm.. then feel asleep on the couch at 8pm and slept to 10pm.. Was up for a couple of hours.. then back to bed. All day I was so sleepy.. Today.. after I went back to bed after feeding the baby birdie and posting on here this morning.. I slept until 1:14pm today.. and could go back to bed right now :roll: .. Fixing to go do some house work instead. I've been dizzy off and on the last couple of days.. Sore bb's off and on.. emotional.. Temps the last two days were 98.2 which is still way above cover line 97.2.. but down from Wed. which was 98.5.. So I'm hoping it doesn't drop and that these symptoms are not freakin Clomid and AF coming.

I wonder how Amy and Kristen is doing?

Hey!!! I am doing good. I have started to feel very sick, which was a shock to me! :shock: I just thought b/c it was still so early that it would not happen yet. It mainly hits me after I eat, so I skipped dinner last night, but after I ate lunch today, I was sick again. :sneeze: YUCK! Other than that the only new symptom is leg cramps! OUCH! :shock: The past few nights I have been woken up with cramps in one or both my legs! The lab should be calling me to tell me about my BW soon, I will let you know!

I am liking those symptoms Paula!!! Sounds very good! I know I have told you this over and over but SERIOUSLY...you are gonna make us wait until the 9th?!?!?! :lol: lol.

As far me.. My allergies started really bad last night and have been bad this morning..I have no clue what triggered them. Nose is all stuffy and runny.. Temps went down some.. I'm at 98.0 today.. I went this morning to have my labs drawn and they had left!!! :shock: I guess they forgot my appt.. :x They finished up early and all of them left early. Needless to say I was not happy. Just really tired.. (just got up from a nap.. I left my computer logged on) Still dizzy off and on.. and my bb's are tender with some shooting pains in them when they move. I've had a few twinges in my abs and that's been it today.. Oh I forgot emotional. :lol: I'll test in the morning again.

That sucks.. I would have been so ticked off if I drove that far and they had left.. I think I would give them a piece of my mind on Monday about that! I'm sure your levels will be just fine :D

Paula, I am on a CD26 in a 31 day cycle .I just took my last dose of progyluton last night i usually get my AF within 5-7 days after the last dose. i dont chart :( but i m surely going to chart my BBT this mnth to know when i 'O' and how high my temp remain.

I m starting Clomid 50MG on CD2-6.. CD2 would probably be on 7/14 . will also be taking Progyluton from CD5.

I am also going to take BABY ASPIRIN although my RE did'nt mention it.

Well I am taking a break. AF showed her ugly head on the 4th.. which is fine.. I was actually nervous because of the situation... right now is just not a good time. My marriage needs a lot of work and now that she is gone i have my husband undivided attention.

Getting drunk was soooooooooooooooooooo needed. I had a good time for a change. I actually only had one second when I thought I was gonna have a panic attack. Thats why i really limit my drinking.

Just make sure you tell your RE of anything that you are taking.. Even though baby aspirin can't hurt.. but there are people who's bodies don't clot correctly and their blood is rather thin.. So it's always better.. especially when ttc to at least just let them write it down in your chart what you are taking. Just in case any issues come up in the future. I so hope you get your BFP this month. Good Luck..

Got it and lost it... I got a BFP yesterday .. but I think it was a chemical pg.. started spotting yesterday evening and have full blown AF tonight.. Today’s test was a BFN. But I'm still hanging in there.. Haven't picked up all the pieces yet.. But I'll pull it together soon.. I go back to the RE on Thursday this week. Thanks for asking.. Oh girl I feel for you.. I know exactly how you feel.. We had to move to a different state to get away from DH's ex.. We drive 2 and half hours to pick up DSS and DSD.. It saved our marriage.. It also helped when he finally got a back bone and figured out how to stand up to her. Your DH is going to have to figure out that you mean more.. and that he needs to put her in her place.. He has both DS's and you now.. She's not part of the big picture anymore. I know it's hard.. but if you love him and he loves you.. You guys can get through this.. It took us almost two years to get through the rockiness, but our marriage is strong now.

Well Ladies, I think this is the end of my Clomid journey.. But I will still pop in here to check up on you guys and to help out when ever I can. I'm not sure where I am going from here.. I should know more on Thursday.. I do know I'm asking for a M/C panel tests to be done.. and I guess they will schedule my Lap Thursday as well. So I'll be on break from TTC probably some where between 6-8 weeks. Hopefully together my RE and myself can figure out what's going on with me and fix things.

I want to see each of your graduate and move on to expecting. You guys hold a special place in my heart.. It's like a sisterhood.. You guys are the only one's who can truly understand what I am going through!

This is my 2nd month on clomid and my fertility monitor showed that I O'ed CD 17 and 18. Last month I had pains when I O'ed(which I never had before). I feel like I'm having them now which would mean my monitor is wrong. So I guess my question is Can I have an LH surge and then actually ovulate many days later??? Maybe I'm feeling things, but I don't want to get the timing wrong. The monitor is better than OPK's in that the screen gives you a clear peak for 48 hours, so I know I had the LH surge. Sarah111~I did not have any before AF came. I had some EWCM around the time of O, but used pre-seed to help out. Now, however, I am having to wear a panty liner! TMI...sorry. I wish you all the luck in the world. I really hope it is your month!

I'm ashamed to say.. LOL.. I live South of Jackson, Mississippi.. I've lived here for 5 years now.. I feel my IQ going down with each day I am here.. LOL.. Just kidding.. I guess we are here for life.. We have to be within a couple of hours of where my DSS and DSD lives.. I'm from right between Jacksonville and St. Augustine FL and my DH is from LA right outside of New Orleans. We have been having bad storms all week! I live in the south it's always hot..lol..

Well.. the reason my doctor is now more willing to do more.. if because I'm old..lol.. She told me she felt I was getting up in age and didn't have to many more years in her opinion that would be good for me to ttc.. she feels that I would have a better success rate if I do IVF by or before turning 37.. She says the success rate drops a little after 38 and a lot after 40.. especially since I have PCOS. I just think she is not an age friendly person..lol.. Well.. I will post tomorrow sometime about my appt.

Chelsea, Normally the "O" pains start with in 24 hours after having the LH Surge. How many days later are we talking about? Do you have a chart? The best way to tell when you have "Oed" is by thermal shift.

I have no clue about monitors.. I do use OPK's. If you keep a chart.. I would be more then happy to take a look at it and see if I can shed some light on when you actually "oed"..

I didn’t want to post and then graduate, well really I did, but sure enough AF came and I will see RE tomorrow to start round three. well number one i am old :lol: I got off the pill in October and started OPK and never got a LH surge and my cycles slowly started going from the normal 28 to eventually 40 days long. so i guess with my age they didn't want to waste time so they did all the tests on me, early meno - i am not, HSG both tubes are working and sono shows i have eggs up there, they just don't feel like coming out every cycle i guess. so this last month i did a trigger shot along with clomid got a postive surge, but i guess we missed the target. I am sure most DHs are a little sensitive about this, but since we missed it, he has agreed to go get checked...so i hope to get him cleared. i go in tomorrow to get my next round and my plan is to try the BD way and by the 4th cycle we may need to look at IUI. My RE says we aren't going to do more than 6 cycles...whew. hope you really wanted to know this.

i am cd2 and i start CL tomorrow so we are buddies! i love the DH story, i can see mine doing the EXACT same thing. got to get him out there and tested next week. I dont wana test too early and see a BFN ,so i would wait a day or two to test.. I still have no CM , seem to be complety dry. I should have my AF as i m using a drug to induce it but that drug is'nt a contraceptive.. i doo hope we did it this time :(

Sarah111~ I did have cramping this month...actually still am. However, it was not as intense as my usual AF cramps and they started way earlier than my AF cramps do. Your symptoms sound promising! I hope this is it for you. When do you test?

I've done two IUI's with Clomid. I just got off the phone with my nurse and she told me that they reccomend 3 IUI's with Clomid b/f moving to the next step which is IUI w/injectibles. I asked if I could have a consult with my RE and she said, "Sure....How about 8/8!!" That's another month away which means I'd be giving this cycle up. I told her I'd think on it for a bit, but I have to call her back b/f 5pm and it's 2:30 here now. I don't know what to do??? :cry:

Thanks, Sara. I called my husband and talked to him. He said let's just try one more time. So, here we go. I don't have any hope for it though, I'm just doing it cause I have nothing else. No other options and anything is better than wasting a cycle, KWIM?

Yea, Clomid/IUI costs us between $800-$1,000 each cycle. Injectibles will be more, I think much more as I've heard they are very expensive. God isn't supposed to give us more than we can handle, right? I'm starting to wonder. I can't do this much longer. I think this is it. After this, our little savings fund is wiped out and there's not anymore $$. So, I really won't have a choice anyways.

Yes, I did Clomid only for 3 cycles last year and I ovulated but all were BFNs. Dh's sperm are great, so I don't really know why IUI would help us anyway?? The only thing I can figure is if my CM were too "toxic" for his swimmers to handle. It is thick (sorry, TMI) but I don't know the acidity level. I think there is another underlying cause and they just aren't doing enough leg work to figure it out. Just diagnosed me "Unexplained" as if that were good enough. :roll:

(Of course not ruling out the possibility that you could get a BFP this cycle with Clomid only:) I was just thinking of this b/c that way you could get your "required" 3 months on Clomid out of the way (without skipping the whole cycle), see the dr. on the 8th, and start injectables with IUI...all while saving a little cash this month. Just a thought. And if you decide to change your mind you could still schedule your IUI right?

I am sorry things seem so bad right now. I was glad to read that you and Sarah have sweet husbands to lean on. I am one of the lucky few also! :wink: It does make things easier.

Thanks, girly! :) I thought about just doing my last month of Clomid and saving money...but the thought of last year kept coming back to me. I've already done three rounds of Clomid b/f and it didn't work doing it the "natural" way. :( So, this will be my 6th round of Clomid all together. Somehow, the IUI's make me feel like there is a "better" chance of it happening?? IDK?

Sarah, I hope the Clomid side effects are not too hard on you!!! I was going to ask you if you used pre-seed last month. I could not remember if you did or not. But, I was thinking that other than the dose of Clomid changing for me last month, that is the one thing I did differently. We used it everytime we BD'd close to O time. Just thought I would share. :D

i am glad to see everyone still posting.

Maybebaby, my heart ached while reading your posts, but there are good things to come and it is sooo ok to get mad, frustrated, and sad..i ate half a bundt cake yesterday to drown my sorrow. Now, i want to try and make this positve...i will lose those 5 pounds i gained during my 2ww while i was eating for (my pretend) two. of course i just started my clomid today so this new "go get 'em tiger" attitude could change on a dime. do any of you do acupuncture or yoga to help with the stress factor. i do a lot of praying but read that this can do wonders as well.

SaraH, went to the RE today and will go back on the 24th for my trigger shot. are we on about the same schedule? i am CD3, first pill today.

As for Me.. I'm hanging in there.. Today was my second day on Clomid I'm on cd 6. I've been extremely moody.. and sleepy.. But the sleepy part may be those freakin blood pressure pills they gave me.. I've been taking those before bed time in hopes I don't have any side effects.. I wonder if it would hurt if I just didn't take'em... my blood pressure was 144/103, it's been in that range for the last three months. The doctor said they were safe for pregnancy.. But it's rated a "C" drug.. says there is not enough studies done on it when I looked it up online. Today was a down day.. I pretty much laid around all day and sleeping off and on all day.. I just feel BLAH!!!!!

It's Amlodipine Besylate .. Brand name is Norvasc.. He has me on the lowest dose and told me if I have to be on it during pregnancy that it won't harm the baby.. everything I've found on line.. says Ask doctor.. So I guess it's safer then me getting preclampsia during pregnancy.

I just don't like feeling tired all the time.. so I hope it's not the blood pressure pills.. I don't want everyday to be a blah day like today was.

I've been reading about dieting while TTC.. So I think I'll head back to the gym tomorrow and change my eating habits back to the way it was.. I think I must have been eating for three this past month.. I gained 7 freakin lbs..

I started my popcorn/chick flick saga last night. DH and I watched a movie that I can totally relate too and you girls would be able to as well. I'd seen it before but DH hadn't seen it. I loved it so much that it's where I got my screen name (maybebaby). The movie is called "Maybebaby." It's BBC production and even stars Hugh Laurie (most know him as Dr. House)! If you can find it, it's worth the watch and would also be good for DH's to see. I think I'll post this too for everyone else. :)

The movie put things into prospective for me too. I have to watch it every now and then just for that. I m doing good.. starting my clomid.. Paula and SaraH u are almost my cycle buddies we can share many things as I m just some days behind you both..

Just have my fingers crossed and praying for BFP in my first cycle I am really very upset after hearing about my SIL.. she is due in SEPTEMBER.
We did'nt know that as she wanted to surprise us by bringing home a baby but could'nt hide her tummy :lol:

SHE still comes over EVERY SINGLE FREAKING DAY... has spent the night here the last 3 FREAKING nights... :evil: :evil: :evil: She just won't go home. We've blantly told her to too... all we get is a blank friggin stare... uggghhhh... life just SUCKS!!! Although an up side to things is we aren't paying child support still... we've agreed to pay day care.. which is $120 a week... which beats $870 a month.. I went and refinanced my trucks and paid off the collection agency that was suing us and pretty much got caught up on EVERYTHING... I told the bank (our credit union) my situation and they basically loaned me almost $10,000 dollars. Can you believe that???!!! :D

Anyways, enough about my pathetic existance... I have been thinking bout you girls lately..

Thanks.. Yea.. It turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. It's been a rough week.. Maybebaby and me have been having our on little pity parties.. :lol: For me it's been lots of sleeping.. laying around and watching chick flicks.. doing nothing.. not even getting dressed.. omg it's so depressing.. Anyways.. the good news is they are finally testing a little more.. So hopefully.. they will find what's wrong and fix it.. I thought I had him convinced to put me on Femara.. then he changed his mind and wants me back on clomid for a little longer.. If I'm not pregnant by Sept.. then I'm going to ask him to humor me and give me the Femara until IVF.. since he said I could stay on it until I'm ready for IVF.

As for me... I don't friggin know why she wont go home. She has an apartment.... a really nice one at that.. DSS has spent a whole 3 nights there since she's had it. Her mom pays the rent and utilities. Step daddy bought her a ford focus... and mommy gives her money every week... (must be nice) :roll: My little brother has been staying with me and he tells me that he is convinced she still wants my DH.. I told DH that and he says he wishes she'd get hit by a bus. He cant stand her.
