Thanks ladies! It definitely turned out WAY different! I call at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow for the fert report and I promise I'll let you guys know!!
Erin, that's so exciting!!
I am totally stalking you guys over the next couple of weeks--I can't wait for results! :)
WOAH!!! WOO-HOO! ? many are you going to transfer? And are you going to freeze any? Great job woman! But yes, I do hope that you do not get OHSS! Yikers! That is scary!
Fertilize lil swimmers and eggs!
I'm finally back! Thank you guys for thinking of me!
They got 37 eggies! Way more than the 6 we got last time! Now I have to wait until tomorrow to find out how many fertilized. I'm also on the lookout for OHSS symtoms and I'm hoping and praying that I don't get them!
I'll KUP!! :hugs:
Hello ladies! I really need to sit and catch up with everyone's progress. I feel bad that I haven't been very good at it.
I have my appt in the am for my blood pressure. Needless to say, it is not controlled well on the meds I am on now. JOY. So I hope that she will put me on labetalol in addition to what I am taking now (aldomet). Since those are the 2 safest meds for pg. But work (BOO) has been he** and had been causing me a great deal of stress. At home and at rest even after doing pilates my BP is normal. But then I get annoyed and or am at work...forget it. It was 152/102 when I got home from work tonight. WAH.
Then I have my mock IVF tomorrow afternoon. So as long as we can get my BP under control before I start stimming in a month and my CD21 labs are good...then we are good to go. Est. ER March 10-14 with a 5dt. We are going slow and steady too. That is what my RE prefers.
ANYHOO...I look forward to seeing everyone's progress and seeing those BFPs! I will try to be better at keeping up!

Michelle, I still think our doctor will only allow us to transfer two at the most, because I'm so short and he is afraid I would have trouble carrying more than twins to term. I'm really hoping we will have lots of good quality embies so that we can freeze any we have left over!! :) I'm so excited for you to get started! Good luck with everything today!!
And thank you other ladies so, so much!

Well the results were not as good as I had expected....but still better than last cycle. Last cycle we had 3 fertilize and only had two make it to the blastocyst stage. This cycle we have 11 that have fertilized. They didn't do ICSI because Jake's sperm looked really good, but she said that if we should ever have to do a fresh IVF cycle again, that it would probably be a good idea considering the fertilization percentage was only around 30% this time (11/37). Strange because it was around 50% last time when I only had 6 eggs retrieved.
So now we wait to find out how many of these little embies are going to keep on dividing....hopefully all of them, but that isn't exactly realistic. I'll have another update tomorrow afternoon on how they are doing.
Thanks for being here for me, guys!

Erin--keep your head up. All you need is one good one and 11 is a fabulous number!!!
Michelle- I'm sorry work is stressing you out. Ugh! Hopefully things will be better by the time you're ready to start your cycle.
Well I had my transfer today. They transferred an expanded blastocyst, which the doctor said looked excellent. There were still 8 embryos so I will find out in the next few weeks if they are going to freeze any. I'm very excited, but trying my best to remain cautiously optimistic. My blood test is scheduled for 2/9.

Erin - 11 is a GREAT number and like Bostongirl said it only takes one!!!
Bostongirl - Yeah for a great transfer! Now its the agony of waiting, and waiting, and waiting :)
Bostongirl - congrats & GL!!
Erin, it does only take one and 11 is a great number! In fact, you and I had the same number. Hmmm.... Hoping that's a great sign for both of us, girl!! :)
Which leads me to...are you superstitious about things like that? I am a little, so here's what I am thinking. My lucky number is 44. My eggs were retrieved on the day our 44th President was inaugurated. My husband's lucky number is 2. The date was the 20th (2), we had 11 embies (1+1=2) and we transferred 2. Okay, that's my silliness for the day - anybody else want to play along?

Well, I took my last pill of my first round of Clomid last night and so far, I feel pretty good. I had some slight hot flashes and minor cramps but that's about it. Not sure what the effects will be (if any) as I head closer to O. I will start OPK's this weekend and am getting 2-3 sono's next week to see if my OPK's are matching up with what they see on the sono. So...looks like I'm all about BD'ing next week!!:bding:
Jen- good luck with your IUI!! :fingerscrossed:

Malf - That is hilarious, but it does sound LUCKY!!!!
I don't really have a favorite or lucky number, but Friday before the transfer we went to PF Changs and my fortune was "An exciting opportunity lies ahead of you". I kept it and have it in my wallet with me now!
I'm still driving myself crazy analyzing every single twitch and twinge. I had some cramping last night that kind of scared me. I haven't really had much in the way of symptoms and it kind of unnerved me that I started cramping like AF is on her way.... I don't think Tuesday will ever get here!!!

Wishing---you are so close!!! Cramping could be a very good sign. It is definitely a common sign of pregnancy.

So DH and I have some more good news. We put an offer in on a house and it just got accepted today. Yay! This is going to be a busy and exciting few weeks ahead of us.

I better be pregnant by then so I have an excuse!!
Bostongirl, congrats on the house! What a great distraction for the 2WW!!
Alyssa, cramping can be a VERY good sign. With my first IVF I started cramping about 5 days before my beta and I was terrified I wouldn't even make it...but the beta was positive. Fingers crossed for you, girl!!!

Wantingnwaiting- How many more days til testing? Good luck!!
:hugs: to everyone!!!
so....Quick update!! I will write more later:)
I was put on a 2nd BP med today..YIPPIE!
I got an "A" on my sono HSG so my anatomy is super for IVF!
RE wants to check kidney function so I have to do a 24 creat clearence test...joy....but its all for a good reason
Will also do a CMP (complete metabolic panal)
NP will do a renal u/s to see if my beans are causing my HTN
And I am consulting with a maternal/fetal med doc prior to anything so that we can get an idea of where my BP should be b4 IVF.
And if I pass my tests and the high risk doc says her BP is ok with these meds....then we move forward as planned!
So I have a month to get my BP down! That is when I start stimming...oh and if I O this month then I will start lupron after day 21...I think!
That is all :)
Malf and Erin, I had 11, too. Here's hoping number 11 brings you good luck :)

Yeah, injectables can be...I am one of the lucky ones, my insurance has been covering all of my meds minus the co-pay which is nothing to complain about. That is why they try clomid or femara and then move to injectables...its cheaper. I didnt have hardly any side effects on the injectables besides bloating...I didnt have hot flashes, night sweats or irratablilty.
So it's quiet in here. What's the latest?
Erin, have you transferred? If not, when? How many? Details, please!

Hey girls! Sorry I was MIA this weekend!!
First, Erin - I hope things go well today! Please keep us posted!
I CANNOT believe that tomorrow is the big day and I really don't have any idea if everything worked or not! I have been feeling some tightness across my lower stomach, but I don't know if that's a symptom or not. And yesterday DH and I were a little late getting to church and were stuck in the back and I don't know if I got to hot, but I started feeling faint and broke out in a cold sweat, so we had to leave the service early. I just felit really tired out and weak. Again - I chalked it up to getting too hot, but you know how your mind plays tricks on you. I've had some cramping, but that's really it. I'm really anxious and want to know now!
Malf - I purposely did not go to any stores this weekend so that I wouldn't be tempted to buy a test! :) I resisted the urge and I figure that it's too late now since I have the blood test tomorrow. How are you feeling?
Bostongirl - hang in there! I COMPLETELY understand how you are feeling!
Best of luck girls!!

Ok, sorry guys - but I have to vent for just a second.
DH works for a computer software company that manages a software program for university housing across the world. He is on the implementation team so he frequently travels across the US and sometime internationally. Normally his trips are scheduled at least a month in advance, but Bowling Green is one of their clients and they need some extra help so DH just got told that he will need to leave this afternoon to spend at least 2 days up there.
So that means that he won't be here at all tomorrow when I find out the results and I'll be on my own if the results aren't good...
I'm trying to be strong talking to him, but it really is breaking my heart because he is so upset over this!
Vent over :(

Aw (((HUGS)))
Erin, it's today!??!?! Omigosh GOOD LUCK!!!!
Bostongirl, I know what you mean. It's torture.
Alyssa, that just sucks! :hugs: Well, that just means you'll have to come up with a clever way to tell him long distance.
DH thinks I definitely am. I am scared to think anything out loud. I can say, however, that I have a whole mess of symptoms, ranging from nausea to heartburn, bloating to big boobs. But PIO is evil, so you never know. I'm going to POAS tomorrow, though. I have purchased the contraband already. ;)
Erin-Thinking of you!!!
Bostongirl, Wishing, and Malf- I hope that you get your BFP this month!!
Kim-Yes yes...we need an update!!!
As for me...well, I had my CMP drawn and turned in my 24 hr creatinine clearence urine. I am rather tense and cannot seem to relax...I can tell b/c my neck and upper back are all stiff :( Still waiting on calls from the MFM doc and radiology. For the most part by BP has been under better control. It was 116/78 last night!! HOORAY for that! I am still waiting to O (I am only on CD12)....needless to say I am in the hurry up and wait game...that we ALL HATE!
Cannot wait to see some BFP posts and Erin's ET info!!!

Thats awesome that your insurance is covering for you! I thought at first that I was on my own until they the bills started coming back paid it was a nice surprise! :) I did 2 cycles of Femara as well. I moved to femara after about 8 months of clomid, which now I read is a pretty long time..too long. ( I am 35yrs old) When the RE decided to move me to IUI it was injectables or nothing...which was scary at first because I had to give myself shots...and i am afraid of a scratch..LOL. My injectables are Repronex...had my insurance not helped out with it I would have been out $1200 why that is so expensive is beyond me! Sorry so long... ;) Good luck to you this cycle...I find out next week if I am in the BFP club.

I had a question for ppl who are using clomid.
Without meds, I used to get my OPK+ on CD12 and even with clomid 50Mg it was on CD12.
I thought clomid is supposed to push out the OPK+ by a few days and subsequently also increase the LP.
Thanks!

Ok, seriously - could time move any slower!!!! I think I am going to be certifiably insane by 8:15 tomorrow am! :)
DH is in Ohio now and unfortunately the only creative thing I could come up with is taking a picture with a sign and texting it to him as soon as I find out. But knowing me and my big mouth there is no way that will happen, I'll end up calling and screaming out at him in my true fashion!
Malf - those sound like really strong symptoms, but I completely understand not wanting to say a word. Please, please let us all know how the POAS turns out!!!!
Michelle - Yeah for great report on the BP!!! Hang in there and treat yourself extra special to get rid of all the tension! (Not that I can talk - all the tension in the 2ww has led me to bite every last one of my fingernails off! Pretty soon I'm just going to start in on my pinky :))
Bostongirl - I've got everything crossed for you! It's so funny how we would practically kill for some morning sickness at this point just for a little peace of mind :) Most women would do anything to get rid of it!
Erin - I saw an update in STC that said they transferred 2! I hope you got some much deserved rest today and I'm thinking anti-OHSS thoughts for you!
Well, I"m off to the shower and bed to painfully attempt a few hours of sleep before I go in at 8:15. They told me that they don't call with results until after 2 when they are done with the majority of patients, but I'm going to try bringing donuts for breakfast for them to see if I can sweet talk them into getting my results earlier! :)
Have a great evening!
Thanks ladies!!

So, anyway, not too much to tell, really. I've been trying to rest and I'm feeling less dizzy, so that is GREAT. These last few days had been pretty rough. I will call today to find out if we have any snowbabies and also to find out for sure when my beta is....although I think it will be the 11th.

Wow,what awesome news for both Malf and WishingNwaiting.
I am so happy, I'm emotional.
Erin, beautiful lil embies. I am only thinking positive thoughts for you and believing that on the 11th you will finally get a BFP.
What a great day for all.
As for me, I am 25 weeks pregnant today with my identical twin boys, Nicholas and Matthew, and just taking it one day at a time enjoying what I can such as their kicking and moving. I can't wait until you all experience this.

It depends on the individual, how much you take, what days you take it and how your body responds (it can change from cycle to cycle.) Typically, you would O 5-9 days after your last pill (that is not set in stone though.) Clomid does not necessarily extend your LP either.
wanna - Sorry AF showed. Same here.:eyeroll:
This cycle will be unmedicated for me (FertilAid only) and if this cycle is a bust then next cycle I will do another round of 100mg clomid/trigger. If that doesn't work I will probably switch to femara.

I had a question for ppl who are using clomid.
Without meds, I used to get my OPK+ on CD12 and even with clomid 50Mg it was on CD12.
I thought clomid is supposed to push out the OPK+ by a few days and subsequently also increase the LP.
Thanks!
I seem to O on cd 13 on average and on clomid it was just 1 more day at cd 14. It didn't help extend my LP after 3 cycles and so I am not going to take it again. I really thought that it would the third time around too because I had three large follies.

Malf & Wishing---CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!:hooray::hooray: I am so happy for you both. My stomach is doing flip flops. It's about time we saw some BFPS!!!!!!!!
Wishing--After all we've been through I don't think I could hold out to do anything creative to tell DH. When it happens I'm sure I'm going to just blurt it out.
Erin--what awesome embryos!!! I've read that if they are hatching then there is a better chance for pregnancy. You are so lucky your pictures are so clear. My picture is all a blur. I hope you're feeling well.

Erin, what gorgeous babies you have!!! And LOVING that you’ve got six frosties! :hooray:

Just had my 11 day u/s and b/w. Protocol: Femara, Repronex, Ovadrel. Anyway, it's working.. had 6 follies! 15, 15, 15, 15, 18, 20. I'm supposed to trigger tonight, we are having timed intercourse (frigging insuranace won't cover IUI.) I asked if the 15's were too small, Dr. said anything over 14 is good. And they said, having 6 follies is nothing to worry about because of my age. (36). I have old, wrinkly eggs I guess! This is just after my 4-year old asked me why my boobies stick down instead of stick up like the ladies on TV. NICE. . . . Good thing I have thick skin... Good news is the femara is working. Yeah!
Malf and Alyssa-OMG!!! GREAT NEWS!!!!! Congratulations to the two of you, both your messages made be tear. I'm so so happy for the two of you. :hooray::hooray::hooray:
Erin-You also contributed to my tears! Your embies look great girl! Congrats on the 6 snowbabies,:hooray: this cycle sure has been better than last time. I'm praying so hard for you to get your BFP next week. :hugs:
Everyone else-Hope you are all doing great!
As for me-Things are a little boring, this is my third week of acupuncture, I'm loving it, really relaxing. I'm working on getting all our paper work and charts for our 2nd opinion. As soon as I have an update, I'll let you all know.

Malf - I laughed out loud at your DH's response!
Thanks again girls and I'll definitely keep you posted and looking for more BFP's in February!

Malf & Wishing.... Congratulations here's to whopping doubling betas!!!:hooray::hooray::hooray:
Erin and Boston Girl....I'm praying for your BFP Good Luck and stay sane!:crazy:
I've been quietly stalking you all!!!
I'm on my last week of BCP and have my suppression review on 2/9, and if all is well I start my meds.
My protocol is microdose lupron, follistim and ovidrel trigger.
Then I have to take tetracycline and methylprednisolone tabs between ER and ET, after ET I have to take estradiol tabs and of course the obligatory suppositories..endometrin this time, lucky me I haven't been given PIO, I'm sure my DH would loved to help with that after all the emotional outburst he has had to deal with so far!!
I am very very nervous this time and scared. Has anybody out there had success with this protocol. The last time we used full dose lupron I over suppressed and I'm scared of it happening again. Anyone know what the tetracycline and the methylprednisolone tabs are used for.
Sorry for selfishly dampening all your good news, hopefully its just the BCP playing havoc with my emotions and I'll be back on form next week when I start shooting up again:ohno::headbang:
Malf and Wishing!!!!:hooray::hooray:
I'm so happy for you both!
Erin, congrats on the transfer; we will be sending tons of sticky vibes your way :)
MY BEANS ARE OK! My labs came back and they are normal...my urine protein was a little elevated, but nothing to worry about! HOORAY! :hooray:So my kidneys seem to be functioning well....we will still be doing an u/s to make sure that it is not the cause of my high blood pressure.
So now I wait to O and hope that I can get into the MFM doc sooner that the 16th (that is when my appt is). Otherwise we may have to postpone IVF another cycle. :headbang:.....but it is all for a god reason:silly:.
Anyway....that is all!
Michelle
Well, not sure about Erin, Boston or Alyssa, but it would seem I am pregnant!!!!!!! :hooray::hooray: I couldn't get the cap back on the stick before the BFP came up this morning. I'm not sure I'll believe it until I see three good betas, but hopefully I can squeeze in for a first tomorrow. For now, I am :shocker: and

Well....there they are..... The embryologist said that these lil embies are better quality than our last cycle. The big, fat one on the right is already hatching out of its little shell in that picture. My cervix cooperated miraculously and I managed NOT to pee on anyone. LOL.
So, anyway, not too much to tell, really. I've been trying to rest and I'm feeling less dizzy, so that is GREAT. These last few days had been pretty rough. I will call today to find out if we have any snowbabies and also to find out for sure when my beta is....although I think it will be the 11th.
I can't tell you guys thank you enough...really. I am floored by the continuous support I get from you girls. Just floored.

So ladies, I hate to be a downer but I noticed some spotting last night and I don't think it was the good kind of spotting. I may be moving on to my next cycle even sooner than I thought. I'm still really happy for all the recent BFPs. It gives me hope for the future.

Thanks everyone. I am 10 dpr. The nurse I spoke to today said that spotting was normal while taking progesterone, but I still am not as optimistic as I'd like to be about this cycle. I had a very thin lining to begin with. I guess I shouldn't jump to any conclusions too soon. I may POAS on Friday. My beta won't be until Monday. Malf - What an awesome Beta number!!! Congratulations on making it official!!!! Are they brining you back for a 2nd one?
Bostongirl - Hang in there, it really isn't over until it's over and I've still got my fingers crossed for you.
Michelle - What a great report, it sounds like things are progressing nicely!
Mad Max - I didn't take tetracycline, but I did take azythramiacin and the steriod. My doctor told me that the antibiotic was supposed to help prevent infection from the retrieval and the steriods were supposed to help with implantation. So far it appears it was successful for me. He also had me on a baby asprin after the retrieval to help with implantation. Unfortunately I've been stuck with the PIO injections - he never gave me an option of the suppositories, but after getting a positive beta I truly don't mind sticking those big old needles in my rear end :) Best of luck to you and keep us posted on the progress!
Erin - How are you feeling? Is the OHSS staying away? I'm definitely thinking of you!
Hang in, Boston. Spotting hasn't been a bad thing for me.... fingers crossed!
Alyssa, yep, second beta on Friday. You? I know what you mean about PIO. Soooooo worth it! On the other hand, if Friday's looks good they're switching me to Endometrin, and I'm not going to argue!

Malf - I'm going in tomorrow am (Thur) 8am for the next beta! I'm starting to feel the pain, or maybe more like stretching, in my lower abdomen now much more than before. It's kind of like sore abs after a really hard workout and heaven forbid I cough or sneeze! :) And I swear I look like a porn star feeling my BB to see if they are more sore :) Too bad DH isn't here for that show :)
I'm jealous though, my dr specifically said he would keep me on the PIO injections and my poor rear end is already a beautiful shade of black and blue. DH is teasing me since my fav color is blue!

My RE told me yesterday that she was switching me to Femara next month due to the issues w/Clomid thinning the uterine lining. (I'm currently in my second month using Clomid that my OBGYN prescribed.) She also agreed to let me do the LH trigger this month even though she says OPKs and monitors are sufficient (provided they work correctly). I told her I wanted to be as precise as possible so she said the trigger shot was the way to go. I also had my HSG today. Not too horrible of an experience. The doc was excellent--in and out in so to speak in just under two minutes. She said she will send the results to my RE but that everything looked good. I have a u/s next Wednesday and if all goes well will trigger and then have my IUI the next day. Part of me can't believe all the appointments and hoops I have to jump through but I'm trying to stay positive that it'll all be worth it in the end. In the meantime, I continue to keep my :fingerscrossed: for all of us here.

Femara for me was much like clomid...it still had many of the side effects. When I started taking clomid I was seeing my regualr OBGYN...she gave me 6 months to get pregnant on that (still way to long on clomid). Then she gave me Femara for two months while waiting for RE. Once I went to RE we had to do the clomid challenge test. Then it was off to injectables...so I was actually off one month on how long I took clomid...but it was still WAY to long. I guess they only recommend it for 3 cylces...because if its going to work..it would work in that amount of time...has anyone else heard that before...?
Anyway all: Tomorrow is 12 dpiui, AF started that day the last IUI. I feel as if she might rear her ugly head again very soon. Cramps...sore bbs the works. I promised not to test at the beginning of this cycle until at least 12 days...but I broke down on day 9 and bought 3 tests. BFN day 9/BFN Day 10/ and today Day 11 BFN. So I think I am out this cycle. SUCH A BUMMER!!!!!

Hi Ladies! Im new and about to start my first IVF cycle and would love any input you have on what to expect. One thing Ive learned from reading here is that you have to give yourself shots? :shocker: Wondering why my Dr failed to mention that part to me?? Im a little nervous so Im trying to prepare myself for the rollercoaster. TIA :silly:
Malf-Congrats on the awesome number!!:hooray:
Nice numbers Malf!!
Cyndarella-Welcome and good luck..I too am about to start IVF soon!
As for my appt....well he is happy with my BP, we are going to taper off aldomet and increase labetalol, we are a go for IVF as far as the BP is concerned....but ....yes...this but sucks...I am not in the clear for my beans like we thought. He suspects that I have fibromuscular dyplasia which is causing renal artery stenosis (narrowing of arteries in my kidneys...which is seen in young women like me..unk cause...could be genetic...but who knows). I do have an u/s next wk to see how well or poorly by beans are perfusing blood...hence the unexplained high BP.It is basically not whether I have it, but how much damage there is.
But he is not discouraging me from trying for twins..he actually has 6 YO twins at home...super smart guy and I am confident that he will take excellent care of me and my babies!
So that is for now...Still waiting to O...I am finally feeling some O pains!! Lets hope I O soon!

Boston, how are you holding up? Symptom watch?
MomOfBrownEyedGirls - congrats on the follies. Six - wow! I am on a similar protocol (femara CD 3-7, menapure ended up CD 7-11 and Ovidrel CD 12); I had a 23 mm on my LO on my CD 12 US (hence the Ovidrel that night) and an IUI on CD 13. My RO had two follies that were developing when I went in for my US on day 10 - but they hadn't grown by CD 12, so I think they will regress (they were only 9 mm on CD 12)...so I only got one :( but hopefully it will only take one ;)
Are you getting BW done 7 and 14 days post ovidrel? That is what the plan is for me...this is the worst wait of my life!

Its official: I am out! AF showed up yesterday. So now I am wondering if we should just move to IVF. I know the recommendation is 3 but with so many follies and DH's high numbers there has to be something else going on that maybe we arent seeing until we get to the IVF stage. Its not like time is on my side...I am 35 1/2. I hate that moving to IVF has to be such a financial burden...otherwise I would have just fast tracked to IVF a long time ago. I am still holding out hope for the rest of you to have BFPs!!!

malf, I agree with Kristen, I too think you are having twins. My beta 11dp3dt were 331 and I had triplets.
:hugs: Boston.
Kristen
Frances...oh my! DH is convinced it's two. What was your second beta? We'll have to wait a few weeks for our first u/s to know for sure.... Eeek!!

02-08-2009, 08:25 AM
malf, my second beta two days later was 669.
Malf, I don't want to get your hopes up, since betas don't mean anything without an u/s. BUT, my first beta was only in the low 100s, and I didn't even quite double for my second...and as you know, I have one in there :)
Erin, I can't believe it's almost beta time for you! The wait must be driving you insane!!
Sending lots and lots of sticky vibes your way...
Hello ladies!! Thanks for your kind words!!!
Kristen-Yeah for twins : )
Congrats again to everyone's BFP!!
Erin-how are you doing? When is your beta again?
Bostongirl-Hang in there!
Oh and I cannot help but wonder b/c since everything seems to be falling into place...besides kidney thing (but I am thankful that we are figuring all this stuff out before its too late)....that of course...my friggen ovaries have decided to go on vacation...not that I O'd well before meds on my own...but frick! Oh well, I guess CD20 labs and u/s on Tuesday I will learn more about whats going on with them!
Take care everyone and have a good weekend.....what is left of it anyway : )

HI Ladies, i just wanted to jump in and say hi. I am currently on CD 19 after taking clomid (CD1-5) I am 14 days past my last clomid pill and no temp spike. I am going to call my Dr. in the morning to see about uping the dose. Just wanted to wish you all good luck and I hope lots of BFP this month for all of us.
YES... We need some more BFPs on this thread ;)

Hi KC: It sounds like we are on the same track! Only difference is that CD11 was my ovidrel day. I don't have to do CD18 BW this time. Last cycle I did the same protocol, and I had my progesterone tested 7 days post ovidrel. It came back high (good level), so this time RE said it wasn't necessary. Since nothing has changed, they would expect the same result. I hope your great big follie worked for you! That's all it takes! Keep us posted on your BW results!

Thanks

Sorry I have been MIA - I'm trying to catch up at work and it's always crazy on Mondays!
Bostongirl - Hang in there! I'm thinking positive thoughts for you.
Malf - no more betas and the u/s isn't until 2/20. I'm still a little crampy, but it's let up some. I've been a little nauseous and I have to admit I was happy about it. It made me feel like this is still real! How are you feeling?
Michelle - Yeah for the attempt for twins!! Hope things continue to go well!
Erin - I saw you post in STC and I'm hoping for nothing but positives all over the place for you!
Alyssa, I am jealous that you have no more betas! I had a third today, with a fourth scheduled for Wed, which should have been the date of my third beta had I come in "at the right time," which is what my stickler RE wants. Argh!!! I am trying not to obsess over every nuance, but it's enough to make a girl nuts, really!
I'm feeling pretty good. I am frequently hungry, my boobs have taken on a life of their own, with my cold gone I can smell things in the next zip, and things that smell bad make me queasy. I'm thinking those are all good signs, though. And I know what you mean - nausea isn't altogether bad when you've struggled so long and hard for a pg.

Malf - I'm jealous of you :)
I wish I could have another beta for a little peace of mind. I keep analyzing every little thing and freak out if I don't feel a lot. Today is the first day I can really claim the nausea and my boobs are sore, but I don't really think they have gotten "that" big yet.
It's just so hard to tell anything anymore :)

Hi ladies! I am moving from IUI to the IVF. I have had 2 IUI's which both resulted in BFN. I have unexplained infertility with mild endo. Never been pregnant. I was really hoping that IUI would be my solution...but here I am. A little scared...because of the cost...but excited at the prospect of being in the BFP club.

hi missy, good luck!!
I had my ultrasound today and I have 2 follies, one measured 24 so trigger tonight with BD and IUI on wednesday. I really hope the third time is a charm!!!!!
The grass is always greener, huh? I just don't want to start obsessing over every number, which is hard. But I am CHOOSING not to.
CJ, welcome to the pinfest!
Well... turns out my DH gets to "do the sample" at home.. yay for him. He said the urologist was super nice and was extremely surprised that my obgyn prescribed me clomid without any tests (as am I). Basically he said that no obgyns perform iui's, ivf, etc. in the area so that I might need to start looking for drs in cities about 1.5 hrs away. At least we're moving forward with SOME testing... even though I had to seek it myself.
In other news the pharmacy messed up my prescription and I'm not able to get my clomid this month. (at least on the correct day, so I'm not going to take it this month) I probably needed a break from it anyway. (This will be my 5th month on it)

Whoo hoo all is quiet on the suppression front...let the pinfest begin.
I have just received my orders, I start shooting up Wednesday 10units lupron that evening, then 10units lupron morning and evening until valentine's day when I get to add in 225units follistm, morning and evening, whoo 4 injections a day, how much more fun can a girl have!!!
More updates a week on Wednesday when I head in for my u/s and b/w check up. I am so pleased to get this party started.
Hope you are all having as much fun!

Hopefully that will do the trick. Thank you everyone for all your positive thoughts and encouragement. I know that one of these days it will be our time.

I’m new here and I’ve been struggling trying to find people going through what I’m going through so I thought this would be a great way to help me. :shocker:
I’m 26 and over a year ago I was diagnosed with PCOS. And that made total sense since I’ve been irregular since day one of my aunt flow so to speak. My DH and I have always talked about having kids nice and young because our parents were young when they had us and it really is great. However, almost 2 years since we started trying and still not Prego.
I started on clomid like most people do. My blood work was always .3, .5, seemed like I wasn’t even taking anything. My ovulation tests were a waste of money because I was not ovulating. Not only did clomid do nothing for me I had TERRIBLE side effects. My DH bless his heart had to deal with a monster rather than a wonderful wife haha. All of my tests came back clean. HSG was good, no blockages. The hubby was checked and everything on him came back clean…or what he likes to say “Super Man” :hero: What a guy huh?! HAHA so, the next step was Letrazol. My blood work was 13 on my day 21 and I had to test again on day 25 and it was 18 I couldn’t believe it. Not to mention the fact that I finally O’d!!!!!!! No side effects and I O’d! I was in a great place….up till AF decided to show up. Something I didn’t tell you was I NEVER get AF naturally. So this was a big deal. Letrazol seems like it’s taking me on the right track. However 2 cycles in and still not Prego. What to do now??
I recently started Gonal-F injections. My DH is the best!!!! We had to do the injections on day 5, 7, and 9. And on my day 11 I went in for blood work and ultrasound. When the nurse called me back later that day she told me that my blood and follicles were ready for our trigger shot! I was so excited!!!!! Since we are not doing an IUI we were told to have intercourse for the next few days….As you all know the DH was in heaven!!!! Wait 2 weeks then test. However, I was also told my lining in my uterus was a little thin….I believe they said I was a 7 so I’m taking estrogen and that will cause a chemical pregnancy if I test in 2 weeks. I’m excited, scared, and extremely emotional.
I wanted to post this because any advice would be great.

Hi ladies! I am calling my RE tomorrow to set up appt. to start IUI process. I had lap sx in April 2008 to remove scar tissue, clean out tubes, and remove a cyst. Found out then, right tube works at 100% and left one works at 10% and is "sick". I got pg three cycles later, had a missed m/c at 10 wks, and a d&c in Sept. 2008. My RE wanted us to try for 4 mths on our own and I don't think I ovulated this month. So, I think he wants me to be on clomid and do IUI. I turn 39 at the end of this month and we need to be more aggressive.
I look forward to getting to know you better...
Bostongirl-Sorry about the BFN, I hope the FET does the trick too : ) {{{hugs}}}

SE7EN, I think it is always a little scary when you take something when you do not know how your body will react. I took clomid 50 mg last month and do not think I ovulated on it. I am waiting on my progesterone test to verify that I did not. However, I took it twice before and both times I got a BFP the first month and have two healthy boys thanks to clomid. I am hoping that next month will bring on ovulation and my BFP. I hope this brings you your BFP.
Jae <3
02-11-2009, 09:16 PM
Thank you so much.
My doctor wants me on 50mg for two months. In April if I do not have a BFP by then, he will up the dose to 100 mg. He will take it up to 200mg. After that we do not know, but he is sure I will O on it.
I hope you get your BFP!

No news yet,I am going to wait a little longer before calling the Dr. again. I am eager to know something and do not want to go ALL WEEKEND! However, my temps have been a little higher the last two days so I am kinda wondering if I might have Oed on Wednesday.
Se7en, as far as temps go, mine seem low to me (96.8 on average before O) the last two days they have been 97.2 so not a huge jump, but 4 tenths. Take a look at my chart and you can see my temps. If you ladies know about temping, look at my chart and tell me what you think of my temps do you think Wed, might have been my O day? If so do you think we have a chance based on our BDing? We were both so tired over the weekend and knew the progesterone test was coming up that we kinda dropped the ball. Oh well, always next month if we missed it this month.
I will KUP once I talk to the Dr. Thanks for checking on me.

xevy-You're funny, and I do like the idea of the bet. I'm also saying 2.
malf and alyssa-How are you girls feeling?
as for me. 2 nights ago i got a call from WINfertility telling me that as of the end of this month, my insurance will not cover the clinic i'm going to for a 2nd opinion. So now DH and I are debating if we should go anyway or try the University of Chicago, which is covered. I know that we're blessed to to live in a state which mandates infertility coverage, and that many couples out there don't have any type of coverage, at the same time, we have so many bills. Anytime we feel like we're moving forward, we seem to take 2 steps back.

Hmm- Wonder why mine are so high. I even adjusted them based on the fact they are two hrs later then the normal time.

Are you still taking the clomid. I have read that some people have high temps while taking it and then a few days after the last pill the temps will come down a little. I am not sure if there is any truth to that.
I just got a call from the Dr. My levels were really low (0.7 I think). They are going to up my dose of clomid to 100mg next month. I have a question about the levels though (and I didn't think to ask) If my temps went up yesterday is there anyway I could have ovulated on Wed after my test? Would the levels have been that low if I was about to ovulate. I always worry about taking meds because I would never forgive myself if I was PG and then took something that harmed my baby. I never felt any preO symptoms, so I dont think I did, but my temp being up for 2 days makes me wonder. I have been a little congested, so maybe that is the reason for my temps going up a little.

Yes. My last pill is on Sunday. So we will see.
Here are progesterone level values based on what part of your cycle you are in:
Follicular phase 0.2 - 1.4 ng/mL
Luteal phase 3.3 - 25.0 ng/mL
Mid-luteal phase 4.4 - 28.0 ng/mL
Postmenopausal less than 0.7 ng/mL
Pregnant
1st trimester 11.2 - 90.0 ng/mL
2nd trimester 25.6 - 89.4 ng/mL
3rd trimester 48.4 - 422.5 ng/mL

So does the progesterone level only go up after the egg is released? Or would it start going up as you approach O? I am so confused!!!?!?!?!? I know you are probably wondering why I did not ask, well I always think of the questions after I get off the phone. Oh well!
