I was just researching patterns and things online, and I think I might just give it a try. I know we're still a ways away from needing them, but I also know how time flies. With DD I made blankets, burp cloths, all of her cradle linens and bumpers, and clothes. I sewed my maternity clothes, pillows, curtains, DD's dresses, clothes for DS when he was small, and still do pjs. Oh, we're also making DD her bed...she wants one that looks like a garden :)
Anyone else here gonna try their hand at sewing for their LO?

I sew diapers, dresses, hair bands and a few other things. I have been in a slump though as far as my sewing and haven't felt like doing much of anything. I'm just so dang tired all. the. time. I can't motivate to do ANYTHING!!

I'm lazy. My Singer is collecting dust in storage. I'd love to make stuff but I never really went past stitching curtains!

I don't think it's popular yet where we live, but I did find a service that leases and cleans the modern style cloth diapers. We're on the waiting list (yes, it's THAT long).

I knew there was someone around here that sewed diapers and things!! You also sew the kids clothes and have a garden, right?

I sew the girls dresses. I'm planning on sewing Brayden a fleece pull over for this fall but haven't started it just yet. And yes, we have a garden. I don't know how I became this person because it is a FAR cry from who I used to be, but I am loving life!!!

I grew up sewing and gardening. My mom worked from home to be there with us, so she needed to keep costs as low as possible...and I find it relaxing (when the kids aren't "helping", at least)

 You always had a crunchy granola soul, it just laid dormant and manifested itself at the proper time. :winks:

Hahaha!!!! :D
Oh, did I say crunchy? I meant um...fibrous?!? Crispy? You have to understand in Vermont it is the highest compliment. I live in the land of Bennington college, with their on-campus nudity and Berkenstocks. It isn't DO you extended bf, it's did you make it to Kindergarden or stop "early"! OK totally kidding with the last one!
