so have you gained any weight???

I have:ohno::ohno:....i was hoping to not start gaining weight so fast but i am eating all the time...my stomach feels empty within hours of eating so i am having snacks all the time (If i dont the MS is worst)....i really wanted to not be a huge thing like i was with my first pregnancy but i feel i am heading that way already....

I am trying to have healthy things but i have already gained 3 pounds and as of this week i am 7 weeks.....i need to go get me maternity pants:crazy::crazy: oyyyy

Nope I've lost 2 lbs. The m/s is really kicking my butt. Hopefully it will be gone within the next few weeks.

As a recovered anorexic and fluffy-type person, I don't own a scale currently...but I've had almost constant diarrhea for the past 3 weeks, so I'd find it hard to imagine that I've gained anything yet.

Not yet, but I'm sure it's coming as I'm dizzy hungry ALL the time, so I eat constantly. Thankfully I've been craving fresh fruits and salads.

I've actually lost 5 pounds, but then again I can't touch meat so I think that's why. I started taking iron to be safe.

well with DD I did not really gained weight for a while (cannot really remember how long) but now I know if i do not eat the MS is much worst...and I do feel better when I eat...and the reality is that eating bread, or crackers or anything carb will make me gain weight....and it does not help that I am taking zofran which makes me sooo constipated that I am sure some of that weight has to do with me not being able to go to the bathroom (sorry TMI).....
I guess this comes with the territory.....my good friend gained all her weight with both her pregnancies on the first and half of second trimester so i know each pregnancy can be different and some people gained first and some second...i guess with this pregnancy i may gain now.....
i am wearing my strecht pants as the other pants are way to tight and they make the MS much worst.....:pokey:

I don't know how much you gained over all w/ DD but you still looked frickin fabulous at the very end my dear!!

Oh Becca you are too sweet....i was huge with Mia! (i can send you a picture via FB So you can see)..... i stopped paying attention to the scale at about 38 to 39 weeks and i had gained about 43 pounds.....but then again the last 3 weeks i looked like a sausage i was so swollen....I just feel like i am starting to gain weight much earlier this time but i rather eat than getting the horribly MS...but i can tell the MS is bad because I am taking zofran and eating and I am still feeling pretty sick....

awwwwwwwww She is soooo cute!
you know i love you!!! Thanks for saying that:wub: (but yes my belly was gigantic!)
it is all for a good cause but i have to say i am now thinking this is a boy! i could not eat meat for months with Mia, like the taste of chicken or steak would make me puke....and now i am craving meat...like i ended up eating a Five Guys burger yesterday! i haven't had one for months but i just could not help myself i wanted one so bad lol....

I gained 90 pounds with my son, and he was almost 3 by the time I'd lost it all. I honestly can't remember any cravings or anything like that with him...it was a looooong time ago, lol.

With my daughter I didn't gain at first, and I don't know what I gained overall since I don't weigh myself (the OB did it "blind" for me). I do remember craving things with calcium, though. I also couldn't stand the smell of coffee, and i was working at a coffee shop!

With this one I've craved various things, not just one type. I want sweet things, dairy, peanut butter, and salt. I've been SO thirsty, though. I sleep with a bottle of water! I'm taking extra calcium and B6, but can't stand the smell of my vitamins (still force them down, though) or my iron (can't force them). Oh, and I want chicken too. I can't handle the smell of green peppers or cucumbers, or mixed food smells like a restaurant.

I sleep with a water bottle too :)
But that then means I have to wake up to go to the bathroom at least 5-6 times a night.

With ds i gained about 75lbs but I started at 105lbs and 5'7" so i was very under weight but hard as i tried i couldn't gain. They refused to count my gain until i hit 120lbs so according to them i only gained 60lbs. Im now around 143 and recently lost about 15lbs I don't plan on gaining so much this time around at all.

Before Sonja I was 120. I gained 50 lbs, it took me over a year to get down to 130! So hopefully I won't gain that much this time. I don't think they'll let me.

Sammi, that's how I was w/ Bray! I weighed 93lbs when I got pregnant with him (I'm a shorty at 5'3). I ended up gaining 68lbs w/ him and never lost it til after Anna was born...though i'll never get down to 93lbs again! I gained maybe 20 w/ Avey and lost it all and then some. I was at my lowest since I was pg w/ Bray when I got pregnant this time!

I was trying to lose a bit of the fat and get a bit healthier pre pregnancy but i guess nature had other thoughts. i plan on only gaining about 30 this time around so i can lose it quicker.

I feel like I could have written the original post! I gained 7-0 lbs with my daughter (much of which was water, I had bad pre-e). I feel like I'm already packing on the pounds even though I really didn't want to go down that path. I'm the same way: sick with an empty tummy and feel better with simple carbs. So not my usual self!

I wonder about something...it seems I've been craving foods that are high in folic acid and calcium... I wonder if my vitamins aren't enough, or if I just need more of these...

I don't think there's scientific proof that cravings are linked to something you're lacking in your diet. I'm obviously not lacking pita chips.

I snack all the time but never eat enough to gain any weight. I've been so sick that I have lost some weight.

I also read an article that believe it or not, a handful of potato chips settle your stomach better than crackers. Something in the way they are cooked in oil calms the acidity in your stomach. So I keep a bag of kettle chips around at home and at work, and have 5 or 6 before eating my frequent/small meals, and it helps. Of course in moderation though because the fats in chips aren't quality fats like in nuts or dairy. Not sure if it's partly psychological.

I didn't know the thing about chips either, but I have noticed that when I eat some I don't get sick...

Lately I just want juice...and cookies

HMMM... and yet I don't want anything to do with chips... or crackers for that matter. I feel like I hardly eat anymore. even though I've lost weight I still can't fit into my jeans

Thinking about buying a scale...but a little worried that the anorexic brain will come out of retirement...
