Cough Medicines

This cough is awful and I'm constantly gagging and even getting sick a few times from it. Is there anything I can take while pregnant?

My ob gave me a list of approved medicines. If yours didn't you can probably find a list online. I don't have mine with me at work or else I'd be happy to share. I know there were several different kinds of Tylenold Cold and Robitussin formulas that were listed on there, but I don't remember the specific ones. Sorry, I hope you feel better. Maybe try gargling with warm salt water with lemon if nothing else for the time being?

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't trust online or even what people say on this site. (This site is great but people hear all kinds of different things from different sources).

If I were you, I'd just make a quick call to the doc and ask what to take. You pay them enough for the prenatal care, why not use them?!

I'd call your OB to ask. My OB said that if I had a cough Robitussin was fine.
