So on Friday I went for my 1st dr appt - according to my LMP I was 7 weeks. Dr did an ultrasound and was not able to see anyhting. He did blood work and told me to schedule another ultrasound at the hospital, which I did for the following afternoon. He called me the next morning and said my levels were 2154 and that he should've seen something and said he thinks it's tubal and to get ready (after my ultrasound confirms) to remove it. I was devastated. BUT went for my ultrasound and the tech saw the baby where it was suppose to be with a 102 heartbeat. She said it measure about 5 weeks 6 days, so it was a little behind but I was never regular. She called the dr at the hospital and he said to just repeat the blood work the next day. I was sooo happy and relieved and did my blood work on Sunday. On Monday I got another call - your levels went down to 2066, I think you are going to miscarry. I asked for another blood test on Tuesday and my levels went up to 2424..... I am soooo cnfused. Dr thinks I am still going to miscarry but wants me to do an ultrasound on Monday. I still feel pregnant....
Did anyboday go through something similar? Did your levels go down and then up? Just wondering.... This has been the worst week in my life - I cannot stand the roller coaster.

:hugs: Ugh that's awful. Never been through something like that but I can't even imagine how awful it must not be to be told one thing one day and another the next. I hope everything works out for you!

do levels rise, drop, then rise again with vanishing twin syndrome? I think I remember a friend having that happen, but Im not remembering the details... :hugs: I can tell you when I miscarried my numbers were at 29000 and started dropping rapidly and very obvious, I was down to 12000 within 48 hrs. :hugs: hoping your dates are just off.

I'm so sorry to hear you are going through all of this right now. Hopefully, you'll have some concrete answers soon. The only info I have to offer is like that of pp, that when I had my miscarriage, my levels plummeted, not up and down like this. KUP.

The only time I've heard of betas dropping and then rising again like that is with vanishing twin syndrome. I haven't personally experienced it, but I have heard of others who go in for an ultrasound after seeing that drop and then a rise and then see one viable baby and one that is no longer growing. :hugs:

I went to the Dr. on tuesday and she couldn't see anything because she thought I was so early, no heartbeat. I did blood work Tues to check my levels and this morning to check again. I had an ultrasound done this afternoon. She saw the baby & it measured 7 wks 2 days, but no heartbeat again. My levels dropped 8,000 so they told me I was going to miscarry. I have another ultrasound next Thurs, but I understand what you are going through. I've cried all day. I wish you the best of luck!
