Is Acetone Safe?

I just found out I'm pregnant, and I'm worried because I just had a shellac manicure removed - in which they wrapped cotton dipped in pure acetone around my nails and covered them with foil. They left these one for about 5 minutes or so. Has anyone heard anything about this being harmful to a fetus? I've googled this and I can only find information about normal nail polish.

I would refer back to the salon that you had it done at. They should have information about any products they are using on the public. I'm sure it is fine, but I would want to know as well. Good luck and congrats!
