Thanks ladies. DH said his first thought was Nascar and rednecks. I thought of it more as an English name especially since I picked it off a list of English Queens to go with my son's name. I think he's warming up to it. I told him I'd post a poll and find out if Nascar and rednecks is everyone else's first thought. Clearly it is not. But he likes to pick at the names that I like. He did this with all of the boy names I picked until I finally gave into a name he wanted. He really likes Sarah. No offense to people named Sarah but I had a guinea pig named Sarah when I was little and she liked to bite you so it's not a warm fuzzy name for me.

My first thought is to think of my best friend because that is her girl name if she ever has a daughter. While not being a top 10 in the baby name world, I think it's much more popular than it's been the last few generations. Besides Charlie, you can also get Char (pron. Shar), Lottie, and I'm sure a host of other nicknames out of it. That's how I'm selling my DH on my favorite name, with the nicknames.
