Does anyone have any suggestions on how to alleviate hip pain? I have a desk job so I sit for 8 hours a day and I don't have any spare time to get to a chiro. It is best in the morning and worst in the middle of the night when I get up to go to the bathroom. I'm having trouble discovering what is aggravating it and making it worse as the day goes on.

Any advice is appreciated!

Maybe you need to get up and move around a lot? No idea, I started going to the chiro though I think I'm going to stop now. With my last pregnancy I would alternate ice and heat seemed to help a bit.

Do you sleep with a pillow between your knees? For me, that has been the best way to avoid hip pain during pregnancy. If I even lay for a couple of minutes without one, I get sore hips.

I also do stretches every night before bed...stretch my calves, IT band, glute, hips, lower back, etc...

I usually start with a pillow between my knees but I think I push it to the side when I flip to my other side. I used a heat pack last night and that helped some.

Thanks for the ideas ladies!

Can you switch out your desk chair for an exercise ball? I got rid of my desk chair for an exercise ball when I was pg with my last baby...I love it! It's a 75cm (I'm 5'3")...I just bought my girls 65cm balls for their new desks :).
