Dentist in 1st Trimester?

Someone remind me...is it ok? I have a dentist appt on monday, and i can't remember if it's ok.

It's okay. I did it when pregnant with DS. I opted out of the x-ray, though they swore to me it was safe. I just didn't feel comfortable getting an x-ray. I was 10 weeks pregnant at the time.

Cleaning? Yes. X-rays and/or novocaine? No.

Some doctors will tell you not to do any cleaning in the first tri but to wait until the second. (There was a thread about this in the June DD room a few weeks ago).

I went during my first trimester. They were actually the first to know I was pregnant because I told them no X-rays :laugh:

Go get a cleaning,just stay away from the X-rays.

I just had a feeling fall out about 4 weeks ago. Went in and had it replaced. No problem ;) Of course I didn't use novocaine though..or x-rays. I wouldn't worry much about a cleaning...just no x-rays.

Yes, it's fine as long as you don't get x-rays. I got a cleaning in both my first and third trimester.
