So...I am 22 weeks along with my second. I am very frustrated because my doctor's office does not use a digital scale and they have claimed that at one check-up I have gained 9 pounds and at this last one, 13 pounds...the check-ups in between were normal weight increases. When I weighed myself at home, naked, in the morning, and on a dial scale, I was 8 pounds lighter than what they have in their charts. I have no doubt that my weight gain may be more than acceptable, but to chart that I have a 29 pound increase in 5 months is crazy...sorry had to vent and wondered if anyone else has this problem.

Also, I have to go in for another ultrasound to rule out that I may have placenta previa...the doctor told me not to worry, wouldn't really answer a lot of "what if" questions because I think he wants to make sure I do/don't have it before addressing my concerns. My question is: I have read that it isn't that common, yet I already know 2 people that have had it...any stories to help me feel better?!

WEll I don't know much about Placenta Precvia, but as far as scales go I wouldn't put too much trus in them only because most doctors oficees don't balance their scales enough and tehy can be really off. Not sure if that helps or not.
