United We Stand; Divided We Fall

I have been separating the twins to go to sleep at night and it is sooooo much easier! They fall asleep quicker without the constant up and down of our normal bedtimes!


They are taking turns going to sleep in my bed while the other goes to sleep in their room in order to divide them up :truce: I can't take the 2-3 hours it takes to get them to fall asleep any more, now it is like 15 minutes and they are out!

What a great idea! Except I have the baby in our room. And I don't think I could trust them not to mess with our stuff. Hmm....

Tonight is our first night with a new bunk bed, and it has been hours of up and down the ladder and thump-thump-thump. They are up 3 hours past their bedtime, and I'm going to bed myself now.

Good for you! I split my guys up last winter, when they were 7-8 months, and they have been sleeping really well ever since. We keep wondering how things will work out as they get older.

My boys still fall asleep every night laying on me while I sit in the recliner. They will fall asleep no matter who sits and holds them, but when I do it, they are both sound asleep in less than 10 min. Then we carry then up and put them in their beds. Not sure how all of this will work when baby #4 joins the mix...but I am sure we will figure something out.
