So I've had a ton of u/s this pregnancy and baby girl has always been head down including as recently as Friday when I had a growth u/s at 37 wks 1 day. But today I had to have an u/s to get a biophysical profile after failing my NST and baby girl has moved to transverse now. I'm guessing I'm now looking at a c-section b/c the tech told me it was highly unusual she moved this late in the pregnancy in the first place and I would guess my chances aren't real good she's going to move back to head down at this point.

I guess I was wondering if anyone had any luck with a baby moving out of the transverse position this late in pregnancy.

Here's a link to a long description of my not so great appt today:

My baby is transverse and I'm hoping at my u/s at 36 weeks that she's moved to head down. I did talk to the midwife at my OB's office about turning her and she told me that because my placenta is anterior they will not touch me. I would do everything I could in my power to get her to move though. I've heard that some chiro's can work some magic!

With my first he was transverse until 38 weeks. I started to see a chiro at 34 weeks and they did the webster technique which I think finally did it.

My OB was open to trying to turn the baby in the hospital before resorting to a c/s. Have you talked to your OB about that?

Thanks for the responses.

I haven't had a chance to talk to my OB about it yet. I had to reschedule my appt today for an NST only b/c of an appt I had for Abbie this morning and my OB was in their alternate office today. I will definitely be talking to her tomorrow as they have me going back in tomorrow for another NST and then appt with my OB afterwards. I'm still in shock really b/c I would have more expected her to be transverse all along and then move to head down not the other way around as she's done. I still can't quite believe she was still head down Friday and is now transverse.

I guess I'll find out more tomorrow afternoon when I see my OB. Hopefully the NST tomorrow goes a little better also.
