Blood near the baby on u/s?

w00t my post disappeared!!!
I posted in June DD as well. I just had my u/s and though the baby is measuring on time and there is heartbeat (though they said they don't see how much as it is too early???) but there is some blood next to the baby. I haven't had any bleeding at all since the beginning of pregnancy. So I am not so sure what to think. Dr doesn't seem to concerned, just told me to continue progesterone (which I take orally twice a day). I will be doing a hormone test on Friday morning. Anyone had this before???

Yup- I had a subchorionic hemorrhage with my son. I bled at 8 weeks and when they did an u/s they found a pool of blood near the implantation site. When I had my recheck at 12 weeks the hemorrhage had cleared up. My OB called it a "normal abnormality" in that it's not that uncommon and usually does not end in miscarriage.
Try not to worry, it should be just fine.
