I'm sick of these stupid cravings/aversions. Yesterday all I could think about all day was meatballs. I got up and went to the store so I could come home and make them. Then after I ate them, the smell made me sick so I had to bleach everything that remotely smelled like meatballs. Today the thought of meatballs makes me want to vomit. All I can think about is Arby's. The thought of anything else makes my stomach turn. Why can't I crave something that's good for me?? :headbang::eyeroll:

I craved chocolate so bad with Lily, I would dream about it at night and wake up in a cold sweat and go raiding the house for it lol. I craved big macs, and apple juice (which I HATE) with Chloe. It's crazy how hard it hits too. It's like I have to have it NOW or my body rebels against me and I'm miserable. Dh thinks it's hilarious. I thought he was going to pee himself laughing so hard last night when he came home and found I had bleached the kitchen because the meatball smell was making me sick. Since I had called him at least five times that day to tell him how bad I needed meatballs :eyeroll:

My first pregnancy I was sick ALL.THE.TIME. And I had aversion to food in general. I didn't have any cravings. Just aversions.

This pregnancy has been easier, although I was pretty sick my first tri and I still feel yucky most the day. But I have had both cravings and aversions this time around. They come and go. Last night it was sweets. I had a root beer float and some Mike & Ikes :shame: But other times its veggies and fruits, sometimes meat. Just depends on the day.

I threw up spaghetti one day and it was the grossest thing ever. That was months ago and I still can't stomach the thought of eating spaghetti again. :gross:

My approach to cravings is just to give in to them. If its something that is not healthy, then have a small serving. (although that is not what I did last night, ha!)

Spaghetti made me super sick in my first pregnancy. Just couldnt eat it. I still do not like it, normally I just eat the noodles with some butter and parmasean.

Oh and I always feel you crave what your body needs :) enjoy it!

Ugh...the worst part about craving junk, is that even though it is awesome while I eat it and it makes me happy, I feel like CRAP afterwards. :gross: Not sure if it's really worth it

With M I craved McChickens and those mini angus things at JitB. And teriyaki!
So far nothing yet but caffeine. I just want soda or sweet tea all the time. Really isn't helping with the water consumption.
I'm also more of a grazer than a meal person so it takes some effort to remember to eat. Food in general just doesn't sound good. I love dips though so I've been trying to keep veggies on hand for dippning, better carb choices, etc.
This would have been so much easier if we were still in MT where the closest fast food was 30 miles instead of something on every corner.

I craved cheeseburgers and meat with this little boy. Not too many aversions though.

Oh I craved Sprite. I stopped drinking carbination and caffeine about 7 years ago. I craved sprite so bad in early pregnancy that I sent my husband out to get some. He was shocked! I drank it but it did not really satisfy my craving so I just stopped drinking it again haha.

I didn't crave it, but I did pretty much live on it  it helped settle my stomach if I sipped it all day

Food cravings are extremely common, particularly among women. Cravings are frequently reported for specific types of foods, including chocolate and foods high in both sugar and fat. Cravings for specific macronutrients, such as carbohydrate, have been postulated to result from a physiological need to alter neurotransmitters in such states as eating disorders, affective disorders or obesity.

are you saying that we craved carbs because we are either obese or have an eating disorder? :eyebrow:
