I confess that I'm short on patience today. DD isn't napping and kept getting into dangerous stuff at my mom's group, so I'm wiped. My sinuses hurt and I've convinced myself it's the swine flu. :eyeroll:
I confess that I better go now.
I confess I woke up feeling better than I did laying down, which is a rarity, so I got dressed and checked my emails (had an email in there I had been waiting for, so another YAY!) and then the kids woke up in good moods and I thought "this is going to be a good day!" Yeah, nope.

forget it. I'm not Secular so I'm not going to post in here any more.
But wikipedia says Secularity (adjective form secular) is the state of being separate from religion. For instance, eating and bathing may be regarded as examples of secular activities, because there may not be anything inherently religious about them.
So everyone should be welcome here, right? :)

I confess . . .
. . . I haven’t abandoned APA but have been forgetting to check this room
. . . it’s depressing that god-talk in other rooms has run off so many of our members
. . . that it’s sad that “AnnieEek’s site” doesn’t get much traffic
. . . that I really miss Jedigirl as she helped me through my miscarriage and was a cheerleader through my pregnancy with Liam
. . . that I CANNOT BELIEVE you guys have racked up this many pages in only 3 days
. . . that I actually read all 18 pages (took me two days) cause I wanted to be all caught up before posting
. . . that I detest Precious Moments
. . . that I never lurk or read threads in the christian room (cause I know I’ll just get PO’d)
. . . that I love the Devil’s Music too
. . . that my SIL was part of a group called the Lord’s Army at her old church (referencing the song on page what 10? 11? Way back there)
. . . that we were married at an old pavilion at a state park by a friend who was ordained online and he put god in the service just to appease Tred’s parents
. . . that my inlaws don’t know of my heathen ways and think I’m a good christian girl cause I have morals and show respect
. . . that the above view of my MIL kinda makes me angry
. . . I’m so relieved to find a daycare that’s working (#3 in less than 6 months) that we might leave him there and “Cry Pagan” to get him excused from saying the Lord’s Prayer every day
. . . that I taught a gay man to kiss after he told me he was gay (the end of our dating relationship and beginning of a friendship)
. . . that I lost contact for many years with that man and just recently made contact again . . . I need to talk to him more (he’s 300 miles away)
. . . that we’re Hobbits and seldom venture from the house to be social
. . . that we’d better get over that cause Atenielle is coming to town! YAY!!!
Neat!
I confess its actually one of those burbs I swore I'd never live in, but things change. :)

I confess that I will easily eat a foot long sub and chips in one sitting as long as no one sees me... And this is pre-preggo!
I confess that I know DH has been looking at porn on the computer, but I'm waiting for the opportune time to bring it up... And I can gather more ammo the longer I wait, muwhahaha!
I confess that sometimes, when times are looking bleak, I wished I could believe in god stuff.
I confess that I feed the dogs table food, even though I yell at DH for doing the same thing.
This confession thing is fun!!! Woo Hoo dirty laundry!
We're planning on someday moving to the eastern plains... a nice rural place we can make off-the-grid.
I'm sort of in a rural-ish town. But there are some places east of me out of the burbs area that have acres and beautiful views of the mountains. I'm just not a big fan of the *ahem* oppressive attitudes...

my DH is from waaaaay eastern CO. His family are all Evangelical Christians (actually, some of the nicest people I know). But yeah, most eastern plains towns are pretty arch conservative. Luckily, you can keep to yourself pretty easily. :)

I confess that I can't believe how many pages have been added to this thread since last night!!
I confess that my DH has been pissing me off so much lately that I sometimes feel like packing my bags and getting the hell out of here.
I confess that I lost 3lbs in 3 days and DH says that that is nothing and he could lose 3lbs in one day.
I confess that I have been really trying hard not to eat a bunch of junk food and also make sure I'm eating enough calories so my BFing will not be compromised by losing weight and that his comment hurt my feelings so much that I still feel like crying about it and don't want to look at him.
I confess that even though I look at a lot of porn, I don't look at it as much as DH because it's so boring. Always the in and out and up and down, gets repetitive after a while.

I confess that I miss my dh. He's been at a Microsoft Conference all week and though it's in Tampa, he's mentally not been around. And tonight he had to go in to his normal job to upload some files b/c the remote connection was having issues. I miss having his head or feet in my lap and instead have this stupid laptop. :ohno: He should be home by 9:30pm at the latest. And he said tomorrow he should get out early and be home by 2pm and we'll all go out and play. And then graduation on Saturday, and then we leave for vacation on Thursday.

I told him you were heading to town and where you were landing and his first comment was "OK, so I can drop you and Liam off for a play date and I can go game at Pulp Fiction. Hey, does her husband game? Maybe he can come with me!" LOL

I confess that I thought that this thread was abandoned and that I was out of the loop of a new confessions thread
I confess that I am nervous about my GRE test to get into grad school even though I always do good on every test I take, yet I also am always nervous I'll flunk every test I take.
I confess that I'm nervous about starting to write again. I haven't written anything, not even in my journal since I was around 8 months PG so almost a year now and I need to get back into the writing game to win some more contest and get some things published.
I confess I'm kind of scared about writing a creative personal essay about why I am non-religious as I don't want to embarrass my family. But though I am nervous and scared about it, I know they'll get over it. I also know some of my extended family and extended in-laws will probably up their conversion techniques after reading the piece and I just don't want to deal with all that right now.

I confess (and I hope I don't get in trouble for my confession) that after checking my facebook page that I have WAY too many religious friends from high school and am actually not looking forward to our reunion because of it. All their updates on Sunday is always about church and one of my old friends is a minister and a lot of my friends go to her church and are always mentioning it and it really gets on nerves sometimes. So much so that I am tempted to unfriend about 6 people and I feel so bad about that as I usually don't care about people's religions but man it kind of gets on my nerves every day that I check facebook and someone is testifying about something.

And I confess I'm waiting for SO to FINALLY tell his mother that I am 6 months pregnant!!!!!!!!!!! And I confess I hope she smacks him in the face when she realizes he has left me alone up here for months while he was being an immature jack***.
He's supposed to tell her today, literally in a couple of hours and I can't wait to hear about her reaction. I think she'll be mad he waited so long. (I mean how do you say "oh by the way mom, I'm having a baby in july!") I don't know if she'll be happy, I don't know how much his family likes me. (They barely know me, all they know is I'm not Mexican and I teach.)

I confess I think I might be pregnant. However, I've thought this 4 times since Stella's birth, and I've always been wrong.
However, my period isn't due for a week, but I had strange spotting. (I spotted with implantation with Stella.) I've had bizarre abdominal cramping and sporatic nausea. I know it would be INSANELY early for morning sickness, but I don't get nauseous very often.
So...we'll see. We wanted to wait until Stella was closer to 3 to have our second, but we'd be happy nonetheless (she'd be 22 months -- I did the math).

When my ex-gf graduated junior high (YES, I know! But I was only a freshman in HS! LOL) they had made a stink about us before so we totally made out all over the place just to piss them off and they couldn't do anything about it.
At my HS you would get a detention or worse if you were showing PDA(Public Display of Affection):eyeroll::pokey:

I confess I wonder what percentage of us secular girls are firefox users but I've never made a poll and I'm too lazy to do it. Plus I have to go make dinner now. And it seems like one of my other favorite sites, Reddit, has a huge amount of atheist posts. In fact, there is a whole atheist sub-Reddit.

I confess that I'm feeling some satisfaction in something stupid this woman did that I really, really, REALLY don't like.
She got the name "Baca" tattooed on HER NECK to try and "prove her love" to mine and DH's room mate whose last name is Baca. He told her not to and she got drunk and did it anyway. She also came home (to my sisters house because she is my sisters stepdaughter) with a bunch of hickies on her neck from the tattoo artist. OH YEAH, proving her love right? Anywho, I went to work today and was telling some coworkers about it who are aware of my dislike for this woman. They proceed to tell me that Baca comes from the spanish word Vaca and it means COW! She has this tattooed on the side of her neck now and it has had me laughing ALL day long!

DH and I pretty much decided recently to not have any more children and I am sad about it. We've always been a little on the fence, but we figured if we were going to have one more, we should probably do it soon, since we're running out of the period where another one would be in any kind of an age range to be able to be a playmate with the twins, and also I'll be 40 next year. So it's the right decision, I think, but I'm still sad.
So sorry to Teachermom and Bean and anyone else who was thinking just a little... maybe... this month. I'm not in your boat, but I know how it goes.
