I know an infant needs between 2 and 3 ounces every 2-3 hours. What about a 2 month old? How much do they need? I assume she'll start to eat more at the breast, but what about when I pump so someone else can feed her? Can someone give me a few ages and amounts for the LO?

DS has 1 bottle a day, and it's usually 2.5 oz. It has always been this way.

It really varies since your breastmilk changes. 3oz one day isn't the same as 3oz another time! 2-3oz every 2-3 hours isn't true of breastmilk since it isn't the same every time. The water and fat content can vary wildly. You don't want to waste your precious breastmilk so I'd start with 2oz and then build up to 4oz. I never did more than the 4oz bottles/sippies. I figured I'd rather baby have to take two 4oz than to waste 9oz! (Though my kids never took more than 4oz at a time - but they didn't go two hours between feeding for a while either).

*Plus, some babies will eat less when mum is gone and then make up for it when you're home.

Each baby varies, but Ava was taking about 1.5-2oz at that age.

My LO was taking 2.5-3 oz at that age and then at 3.5 months started taking 5 oz and still does.

At that age and now DD would have 4 oz every 3-4 hours (daytime- I never needed to give her any bottles at night)
