BF and stomach flu

So I've come down with the stomach flu. The vomiting started around midnight and the diarrhea around 2 am. I've only tried clear fluids since this started...the last time I threw up was around 9 am.
He's had some diarrhea the last few days that we thought was related to teething. I'm keeping him out of daycare today. I didn't do our normal 5am feeding but fed him around 7. I'm attempting to drink some small amounts of water, and so far it's staying down.
Do I keep nursing or do I give him the bottles intended for the daycare today? I'm concerned about dehydration.

You should try to nurse him - use the daycare bottles for backup in case you dont have enough but you should let him try booby first to keep up demand.

I agree...nurse him. You will do fine without fluids for a while. I had surgery 2 times since Addie was born and didn't have even water...no fluids period for more than 12 hours. You will be ok! Just wash your hands a lot. :hugs: Hope you get to feeling better. PS I had that nasty bug over Christmas...ugh, it was terrible!

We're on the mend. Of course I had it worse out of everyone. Not the way I prefer to lose 5 lbs. Thanks everyone. Now i just need to rehydrate and get rid of the plugged ducts that I developed.
