We only put the babies in the cribs for a few minutes while we get them ready for bed. Anyway, dh was rinsing their toothbrushes while I was brushing my own teeth (my sweet dh gets them ready for bed every night) when I heard a crash and then a cry. We both ran!

Ronin was on our hardwood floor, sobbing. I took off his pajamas and examined him. One wrist and one spot on the front of his head were slightly red. He cried for about 10 minutes while I cold-packed those spots. Poor little guy.

I don't know if it's time for a toddler bed or a crib tent. I hate having no place to put them in a pinch, but we only use the cribs for about five minutes a day.

Poor guy! I think boys definitely are the ones that climb, thank goodness he was just a little red! I think I'd go with a toddler bed, it's worked well for us anyway...

Poor guy... Remy is a climber too. He's almost mastered the gate...

And can I just say OMG I LOVE YOUR SIGGY... it's so cute. Yet another wonderful photo that makes me envious of your adorable twins!

Crib tents are on the expensive side when you are buying two but the mom's in the local Multiple group I belong to LOVE them.

I used them with my last 3 kids and they are great. My twins were getting out of their cribs at an early age and the tents were live savers.

Evie did that when she was 10 months old at 5am when I was home alone!!!! I almost fainted. Ours was an issue where I just needed to lower the crib. I would say move to the toddler bed or not use the crib at all. So sorry this happened, there is no worse feeling!!!

I think, after talking to DH, that he must have actually climbed out and then dropped/fell after hanging by his arms, or slipped on the landing. In any case, he must not have taken the big swan dive out of the crib that I was picturing, because his head wasn't even bruising up an hour later.

Whew!

Poor little guy! William climbed out/fell out of the crib only once and never did it again. I bought a crib tent and he hated it! I never even got to use it. I think falling out that one time scared him and he has never tried to climb out since. The same thing happened with my friend's son. Tried once, fell and never did it again.

Aww poor dude!! Who knows, he may never do it again. Hayden climbed out once, scared himself silly, and has never done it again. That was over 10 months ago. :hugs:

How scary for all of you!!

Amelia is still too little to make it, but she keeps lifting her leg up to try to get over things.

poor kiddo! Glad he's okay! any way to just gate them into a safe room and ditch the crib altogether, since you don't really use it anyway? or just get a PNP for upstairs?
