Stretchmarks: Pls help...

I am pregnant and want to know if anyone has had any luck with skin care for stopping stretchmarks? I have heard that some are not safe to use and can harm my baby but I am so confused by which ones are ok and actually work to prevent stretchmarks, as I happily grow into my 9 month bump!

You can't stop 'em - they are genetically inherited. You can help your skin though to suffer less damage from them by applying cocoa butter or massaging in your skin the olive oil.

If you keep your skin well hydrated it helps...lotion and drinking water. But if your going to get them, you'll get them. Its mainly genetics and hereditary. Ask your mom if she had any.

yup i agree with the poster above you cannot stop them..you can lube up your body to make the stretching and growing easier on your skin..i got them with my first pregnancy, i gained a lot of weight and fast..

I just used bath & body works lotion 2x a day. when i got up & when I went to bed...& nary a stretch mark on me. :)
ETA oh now i feel stupid. I replied to a banned person. lol
