Anyone wear the Ergo while pregnant? I haven't had my first OB appointment yet and wanted to find out what they say about wearing the toddler in the Ergo while pregnant. DD is only 17lbs and doesn't look too comfortable on the back yet so I'd only wear her till my tummy sticks out. TIA!

There is a demo on the Ergo website on how to wear while pregnant. You just might need a waist extender (I know I will soon).

I have worn DD on my back even at 30+ weeks. I would just check with your OB but I think it should be ok since you're still early in the pregnancy.

This is what I was going to say as well.

I'm 24ish weeks and can still wear Tyler on the front or back comfortably :) It's so sturdy and secure, and, super easy to get the waist strap below my belly. I don't think I could wear a mei tai right now... (even if DS still fit comfortably in mine...)
I wore my 30+lbs toddler at 40 weeks! Very doable!
ETA: I only wore Deacon on my back when pregnant. I did wear a friends 6 month old on the front when I was about 6 months pregnant but it became uncomfortable pretty fast.

I guess I am the odd one out! i tried to wear DD in the ergo front carry at less than 20 weeks (before belly) and it hurt! I guess it's just not for me. And she is very light too....

Me too!! I used mine for a while, but it just got uncomfortable. I guess it just depends on you and what feels right. I wish it were more comfy for me while pregnant. I tried front and back, but just didn't feel right.

It was hard for me to do a front carry while pregnant, but even now at 37 weeks I can still wear Sal in a back carry. I just wear the waist part below my belly.

Thanks for input. I guess I will wear her unless it gets uncomfortable. She doesn't look too comfortable in the back carry position yet since she's on the smaller side (I may be putting her in wrong as well).
