What was the latest your BFN "turned" into a BFP?

You may remember a previous post I made...basically, I had my first pp AF at the end of December, I'm bf, and I'm now about 1 week late for AF. Have taken a few tests, all bfn. Don't know if it's just wacky cycles or if I'm eventually gonna get a bfp. It's driving me crazy!

I was six days late when I tested. I didn't test prior so I have no clue if I would have had a BFN. I hope you get the result you are looking for.

My guess would be a wonky cycle! Usually the first cycle back (after your first pp AF I mean) is longer than your norm, so that's probably the case, esp w/o a bfp.

I was "late" the first few cycles after af came back while breastfeeding. Not pregnant...just longer /wonky cycles

I clicked the last one since I had 8 :bfn: 's with Greg and a neg blood and was still preggo :eyeroll: I was just about 3 months along when I found out! I had AF all 3 months...same thing happen with Brianna, when I found out I was already 4 months pregnant and had AF's the whole time!!

Now with Drake, no I got one :bfp: went to the Drs and yup I was preggo!

Maybe its because of 2 diff fathers :chinscratch: never thought of that, may need to talk to my specialist lol

Since it is your first PP cycle, I think the odds are it is just a wacky cycle. I got AF earlier than you did (6 weeks PP) but during the first 6 months, my cycles were totally wacky (45+ days). I have never had cycles that long before. I started charting after that and it seems that I am back to normal now.

My first cycle was wonky and long too. I would say you are BFN. I took a test at 13 DPO and got a BFN and took it at 15 DPO and was BFP. We are talking the day after my missed AF and I am a late implanter and have low hCG.

Well because of PCOS, I was never regular...but with PJ I was nauseous for TWO WEEKS before I got my BFP...in fact I convinced myself I wasn't pregnant after two weeks of negatives, even though I had all the signs. Going by my LMP, I would have been 6 weeks at my first appt. but ultrasounds showed me as just 4...I have no post-partum AF experience to go on though!

My BFP's never showed up until 14-16 DPO... so like 3-5 days past AF, and they were REALLY REALLY REALLY faint then.

I also just think it's whacky cycles. I had a few days of spotting when my 3rd DD was a few months old and then not again until she was 18 months. You may have only gotten AF due to a slight dip in how much nursing you were doing. It may have been so slight you didn't even notice it. increasing your nursing mayy have chased it away and it may very well stay way for quite some time.

Thanks, everyone. So, then, I have a dumb question...AF may stay away now but can I still be ovulating?

technically no...you cant ovulate without AF...
but...
You can ovulate and get pg again instead of AF showing..kwim?

you have a 90% chance of a accurate preggy test *the very first day of a missed AF*
source=fertilityfriend.com, research on BFPS
if you don't know when you o'ed you can't know when the first day is.
very few people o on cd 14. it has very little to do with "your regular cycles.*

GL! either way.:hi:

Im 28 weeks pregnant at the moment with my 2nd child.

My last menstural period was the 19th July 2008, I run on a 29 day cycle and AF returned in march 2008 and she was bang on the 29 day regiume straight away.

We were overseas in the pacific Islands when AF was due for August, so I tested when I got back on the 30th August and got BFN every day for 4 days...I booked into the Dr on 8th Sept for appointment and that morning I got the faintest positive line.
So that was well after AF was due 2 weeks to the day even before I was a positive line.

At my 10 week scan I was 8 weeks preg by the scan, at my 21 week scan I was 22 weeks preg off the scan ( well parts were measuring 22 weeks) as they did with my 1st child.

My boss is going through the same thing at the moment she is 15 days over due with AF geting neg on POS and bloods, she had a scan yesterday morning and there is a 5 week old fetus in her tummy, and still she is testing NEG???

This has happened to me with both pregnancies. I took multiple pregnancy tests, starting at 1 day past my expected AF date then every 5-7 days after that. Both pregnancies, I didn't get a BFP until 4+ weeks after my expected AF date. My Dr. said I have a crazy cycle or my initial hormone release is not as high as most so the HPTs can't detect it. I have had to get the early u/s because of the uncertainty in my due dates. In both cases I continued to drink (not heavily) after having negative pregnancy tests only to later find out I was pregnant the whole time!

My goodness, 4+ weeks?!

Well, so it's a slight possibility that I could still get a bfp but most likely it's wacky cycles. Guess I'll poas weekly :dunno:

I know !!!! she was stumped she has a 23 day cycle. They were going to start testing her Paturity gland if there was no baby on the scan...they are scanning again for viability in 3 weeks so they can see the heart beat.

But she is still getting neg on the POS???
