Nope. They are not even bothering with the babies. We also make the tank fry safe with LOTS of tiny places only wee babies can hide.

I love that. We had fish that laid eggs and they hatched and we had a ton of babies. We ended up with around 100 survivors and had a heck of a time getting rid of them. We had to take them to 3 different pet shops to get rid of most of them. They are large aggressive fish though, so we couldn't keep them all. We still have our male and he is about 15 inches long now. Unfortunately our male ended up killing his mate one night. So sad.

He is a jaguar cichlid. they are hard to find. We had to order ours from the computer. We have another tank with a tilapia buttokoferi (sp?). I will post pics. I have some on my photobucket. I love green terrors though. Never had one. We have had our share of aggressives. We are notreal big on the community fish. We used to have our tank with assorted africans, but that was a while ago.

This is dozer our buttokoferi.

We've had them both going on 3 years now. When we got angro he was about an inch long.

I can't find the pics on here of my africans. Must be on my old computer. Sorry. We actually traded about 10 africans for our buttokoferi. He is my fav. fish we have ever had.

A few years ago, we had some baby fish. I think they were guppies, but I really cant remember. they ended up eating the babies even though I gave them their own places to hide. I guess the babies werent smart enough to hide lol. i think a few of them died too.

I love Jacks. I wanna' see a pic! I used to work at Petsmart and there was a great shop across the road from there. Me and my DH learned so much about fish and that is where we got started. That was before we had kids, but we have kept our tanks and love having them. One day I would love to have a 150 gallon with a few aggressives...

Our dream tank is a 200 gal Ciclid tank for sure. I also want a South American Tank...bigger than the 90 gal I have now. Then the 90 gal will be the salt tank. I will get pics tomorrow and put them in here.

I can't wait to see pics! I tried salt and I just couldn't get into it. I was always worrying about the water etc. I had 4 damsels for the longest time and was too afraid to get anything else for fear of killing it. We have a 90 too and always wished we would have gotten bigger to begin with. I know our jaguar would love a bigger tank.

I was beginning to wonder if you had forgotten LOL! I love green severums. When I had my 1st tank, I had a beautiful green severum. It was my favorite fish in the tank. They are one of a few non-aggressive fish that I like. I can't wait to see pics of all of them!

The tank is foggy as we put in some PVC pipe tunnels too. By tomorrow it should look great.

We have two of the huge pipe tunnel decorations you can get from the pet store. They had them here for around 80 dollars a piece and me and DH were like ":shocker:, those are cool, but not 80 dollars cool!". Then I went in there one day to get some frozen food and they had every one of them marked down to $10 a piece. I was shocked. They said the owner couldn't sell them and they took up too much shelf space so he wanted rid of them. I bought 2 and our fish love them, but they are both getting too big for them now. They still squeeze in them though.

That is what we were planning on doing, but I ended up snagging those from the pet store so we didn't have to. I think DH will have to find something bigger soon though because they are squeezing in there. As long as they can still fit and not scratch themselves up, they will stay in there. I think the ones in there are 6 inch in diameter.

The best part about Home Depo is that you can always buy the size you need...LOL!! I am going to get pics today. I am waking up as the teeth boy had me up 2 times per hour last night. So, for the 7 hours he was in bed I was up 14 times.

Man. I am sorry Rory is giving you such a rough time at night. That SUCKS! I hope he will let you get some rest today!!! Can't wait to see the pics. And I can't believe you are already almost 12 weeks pregnant. It seems like just a few weeks ago you were telling us the news.
