We both look rough! My water broke at 2am, and we had only just gone to bed at midnight. My mom took these pictures. The first one was after I'd been in labor for maybe10-12 hours. The next one is at about midnight in recovery after DH brought the baby to me. So we'd both been up for almost 24 hours straight. :crazy:

We don't have any before pics because he forgot the camera at home and had to pick it up when he ran home to feed the cats. We also couldnt take pictures until he was safely on my chest and he was in shock at the time. :laugh:

Great idea!

The pix before and during the birth aren't great, because I was screaming at my mom "NO PICTURES" the entire time. However, she was brave and shot these two. I like them b/c they show how involved DH was in my labor:

I had to go the the hospital right from a regular dr. appointment for an emergency c section so we don't have pictures until later.

Aww, cute pictures and...

all I can think of is those babies came out of you ladies. I am suddenly terrified out of my mind to give birth. I can't push something that large out of my body. Oh lord, what have I gotten myself into? Pregnant women should not look at pictures of women in labor. Must remember that.

OK, back to your regularly schedule thread...

Ah, honey! I used to feel that way. But seriously, if I can do it, anybody can. I am such a baby about pain! Focus on the happy faces! And make your DH look at these so he can get inspired, too!

This was taken just before we went for the c-section. I had been in induced-labor for 48 hours but we had managed to get a bit of sleep in there after I got the epidural!

You can't tell, but DH was crying just before this picture. I got to my room and had to call the nursery and ask for my husband and my son. DH, babybert and the nurse came in the room and DH took babybert out of the bassinet to hand him to me and he got really close to my face and just said, "Our son is here." And he started to cry a little. I've only seen my DH cry once, and that was when he spread his dad's ashes.

DH was the first one to hold Wyatt...he then gave him to me but I was shaking like crazy that I was afraid I was going to drop him so he held him until they moved us to the recovery room. So here is daddy and baby WYatt:
