This is a forum for those who have become pregnant after struggling to conceive for six months or more.
Participation in this forum is not relative to whether you became pregnant naturally, through any type of fertility treatments, or through assisted reproductive technologies, but rather that you understand and are sensitive to the long journey of trying to conceive with months of unsuccessful attempts.
The members of this group tried to conceive for at least 6 months and in some cases several years before successfully getting pregnant.
The struggle to conceive is usually accompanied by heartache and pain – it changes women forever. During their journey to conceive, members of this forum have often experienced messages that were filled with good intentions and intended support, but rather ended as insensitive comments lacking understanding.
Although there is joy in successfully getting pregnant, there is often still frustration, hurt or even anger around other pregnancies that happened so easily for whatever reason. Although members of this forum have conquered the fertility battle, the unfairness of their struggle has changed them forever.
You need not have been a participant in the Struggling to Conceive forum in order to post in this section. If you are pregnant and you have just joined APA after struggling to conceive for six months or more and you understand the emotional hurt for trying to conceive unsuccessful for several months, then you are welcome and invited to post here.
